The news overnight was sad news indeed. After a short but world changing life, Steve Jobs died yesterday, the 5th October 2011.
A truly inspiring individual, both personally and globally. I don't really have the words to do this man justice. So I will leave it to the likes of Obamma, Steven Fry and the many other errodite speakers who can do a far better job than I ever could.
Rest in peace Steve and thanks for the magic...
All being well, the new version of Simplicity, the first in a line of mini-Apps from James, will be released within the next few days.

Based on user feedback, we have not only added the features that were being requested, but we have written the update from scratch to take full advantage of the new performance and function facilities that the newer releases of iOS 4+ have to offer.
It is in effect a brand new app and performs as such. Blisteringly fast, enhanced functionality (ability to print & email recipes as well as text based quick reference versions) and we are pretty sure you will be impressed…

Since September of last year, we hear Ginkgo Studios have had a little bit of a secret. A secret we were sworn to keep until mid December of last year and a secret that we have kept until today.
We were the proud hosts and organisers of the photo shoot snapped by David Bailey of his Royal Highness Prince Harry and the Walking with the Wounded Arctic expedition team exclusively for GQ Magazine.
In short, it was an amazing day! And it is quite a relief to be allowed to talk about it at last.
The Walking with the Wounded team are quite exceptional indeividuals. And deserve all of our support and dare I say it, cash to help raise money for a truly worthy cause.

Well, we knew we were on to something with the new style and delivery of recipes and instructions with Simplicity – but in the space of just a few days over christmas, we have moved the iPad version of the app to No.6 in the iTunes App Store Lifestyle Section (with it being placed No.2 in the What’s Hot areas too) and a rapid rise to No. 27 for the iPhone version, which was only released on the 23rd of December 2010 – That’s only 4 days!
So to all of you out there who picked up a copy – A very big thank you – Hope you seriously enjoy using it and don’t forget it is the same app for both iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. If you own more than one of these devices, you only need to buy it once!
Keep the feedback coming. We have already had a point which had already planned to include in an update at a later date – but the more ideas you can give us, the better we can make it for you!
