Unfortunately my work is a hotbed of infection and disease at the moment and just a few days ago I caught one, so project girl is on hold until I’m feeling a bit better. I did however model my new wrap dress (forgive the face cropping, no makeup!)

Wimpish Rats and Shopping

Last night I had a bit of a shock as Rocky Rat managed to get his paw caught in the cage door. With the screaming and him nursing a bloody paw I thought it might be a vet job, but after a few minutes and some Yoggies he was using the paw as normal so I don't think any harm has been done to him (though I have a couple of scratches from putting some antiseptic on it). I do suspect he might have been milking it a bit in the hope of getting some more Yoggies. I've noticed that out of the two, Rocky always seems to get in the wars, where as Frankie's mischief tends to have no ill effects (or at least none that I've noticed).

On a more positive note I've been plotting a few outfits and been shopping too. I've bought/ordered a couple of dress tops, some light coloured skinny jeans and what was allegedly a pair of pointy over knee boots that are more like crotch high. Think those will be more for evening wear though they do look amazing with the skinny jeans (and LBD too). I can at least turn the tops down to make them knee high and more piratical then fuck me! I love them and have just ordered the Suede version as well! I now just need to wear my new outfits out now, probably to Vaults to try and ensnare a cute boi/grrl!

Lacuna Coil

The other night I went to see Lacuna Coil and Slaves to Gravity at the Lemon Grove. Both bands put on fantastic shows but I must say that I really dislike the Lemmy as a venue. It is a more usually the Student Guild's night club so has an enormous DJ booth that extends right out into the crowd area and the stage is only a foot high! Consequentially most of the crowd have very restricted views of the band. I even tried using the camera as a Periscope with limited success. Here is a picture with my arm at full stretch

Some thing I am considering with regard to Transness is to try full time girl, full time as it were. While I'm not ready to do so at work (though they all know, but knowing and doing are two different things), I do have a couple of weeks holiday towards the end of the month... If I do it expect daily updates!

Today I'm at the parents as my car is in for its MOT test. Hopefully it will pass, or at least not cost too much if it doesn't. At least this year I have some savings towards it, rather the bung it on the credit card approach of last year.

Yesterday I went to see the Tour of Britain passing through Exwick (this time round it was just skimming the edge of the city), no glamour pictures, still not feeling 100% although my lurgi seems to be dissipating nicely. Hopefully it should all be gone by the weekend.

In good news it seems I've won £125 on the Premium Bonds - I might finally get the boots in the window of Long Tall Sally that I've been lusting after for the last month (not helped by the shop being on my walk to and from work/town).

Last night I went to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World. The film was awesomely geeky and I must say I was coveting Ramona's style.

Forgive the bushy brows, with all the drama of late they have been neglected. Will get them done when I have some time off from work. Though glamour my be on hold as I've now gone down with the lurgi that has been hurtling around the office for the last few days.

The dress is very stretchy and really hugs the figure. It also came with an elasticated belt which I don't think I'll be using - I have better belts of my own!

A mixture of bad and good

Things haven't been going too well for me recently. There have been a few issues with work recently so I've been searching for something better with a renewed vigor. I did find something very similar to my previous job advertised on an agency website over the weekend so on Monday I dressed all smart boi* and went into see the agency. The job had already gone, but they reckon they could find me something, but I need to show them a passport (which was at the parents), so am going back today to register and see what they can do.

I returned home from work on Tuesday to find that the PC had stopped working again, it looks like the last fault was a hardware failure in progress and now the hard disk with all my photos and music is now little more then a shiny metal brick. On top of the recent things with work this proved a bit too much and left me bawling my eyes out. I decided it might be a good idea if I got out of the flat for a bit until I could calm down. So I rang my friend Vinnie as I knew he'd be around and his company was very much appreciated. On reflection, I've decided to abandon the PC for a bit, and will buy a new hard disk later this month and start rebuilding the music collection (mostly have stuff on CD), and as for the photos, well I still have my memories. Plus I have two shiny cameras and enjoy taking photos, I shall have to take many many more!

Yesterday wasn't entirely successful either, I had a contact lens fitting in town. All was going well until the optician took the lenses out. I'm not sure why but I went into shock, it took about 5 mins for my vision to return to clarity, and for me to stop sweating. The Optician did say that some people react that way the first time, and maybe to try again in a few months time. Plus he had fantastic music taste!

I've also had my two latest purchases arrive. A little black dress from ebay and some suede-ish thigh high pointy boots from Very. I figured they might give a bit more confidence in the boi/girlfriend hunt!

Movies, Goals and Sight

Last night I had a very enjoyable evening with friends where we watched Kick-Ass. A fantastic film that even manages to make Nicolas Cage look good (I even think he might actually be a good actor, but just picks the wrong films) and how fantastic is Hit Girl! I can see why the tabloids didn't like it (though amusingly that was more to do with language then with the bloody skewering of several bad guys in the same scene!)
Also in an effort to sort myself out, I've decided to set myself a few goals to improve my sanity, life and things in general.

Get a new job - I'm reaching the point where I'm fearing for my sanity (and seriously so), not because of the callers (who can't help being stupid) but because of management incompetence and their general attitude towards me. I'm so looking forward to being able to give my notice in.
Sort the flat out - I really need to de clutter! (Plus need to re-enforce my ratproofing).
Get a Girlfriend and/or Boifriend - I'd like some company (and a few other things). I also think company would serve to encourage my glamour and motivate me further.
Improve my confidence - it's grown in leaps and bounds but is still a little lacking.

I also have booked myself an appointment to get contacts - would mean that a glam me would be able to see things!

Work Woe and Nights Out

Am getting very pissed of with the attitude of certain managers at work, it seems that they are now trying to flex their authority (think Cartman in uniform - respec ma authoritoir!) and are threatening a ban on internet and conversation. I think they see themselves as the headmaster of a class of kids. Suspect the Express and Echo will be seeing an increase in sales on Wednesdays (when they run the jobs available page). Certainly I'm redoing my CV.
Am also cursing my lack of money. Long Tall Sally have a gorgeous coat with a stunning pair of boots to match in their window at the moment. Alas I don't have a spare £200 to get them *crys*

I've had a couple of interesting nights out, the Burlesque has moved to a new venue which I can't say I'm very keen on. It's a Working Men’s Club and it still allows members free entry without tickets (while it's ticket only for the Burlesque crowd), certainly there were tensions between the locals and the fabulous burlesque guests and I got some stick for looking like an over pinstriped Boy George (I decided to try ‘Glamorous Boi Mode’ instead of the usual dragdiva) - some of the girls got unwanted attention too. Which is a shame because K&Q put on a great show.

On Friday I had a great night out at the Cavern's Alternative 80s night. Though the fact it was a great night was down to the company rather then the night. The DJ was appalling, I was expecting some obscure stuff, but not as much as was played. I wouldn't have minded if they also played some of the bands listed on the posters/online adverts. Also the DJ would leave the booth to chat at the bar, and not return until the PA went silent (very unprofessional), Still got a couple of dances to some Spanadu Ballet & Smiths and the conversation with good friends more then made up for the poor entertainment on offer.

I've bought two new leather look jackets from Primark, originally I’d intended to just have the one but, in the end I bought myself two.

One is black and the other is a greyish green colour.

So far I’ve not been a big fan of stiletto heels, my previous pairs have tended to leave me unable to walk more then a few yards. But I was seduced by this pair that were on sale for £20 from Discount Shoe Store (Barratts in other words). They have a fold over cuff with a zip up the back and a nice stud detail on the cuffs.

Surprisingly they are relatively comfortable, certainly no worse then some of my platform pairs. I wore them as knee highs with the cuff folded down to the local Burlesque night (sorry didn’t get any outfit pictures) and while I couldn’t walk any real distance in them yet I was certainly able to dance a bit. Think I’ll have to practice a bit more, but I think I might have caught a stiletto bug!

Decided to experiment with the camera, think I still need a bit more practice as most shots were over or under exposed (joys of self timer when you are trying to keep the camera dry as well) but quite liked how this one came out.
