Over the past 20 years, God has used The Global Mission to bring the Gospel to those who have never heard. In 2006, Dave and Anne started The Global Mission. For the first seven years, Dave was the only full time employee, traveling, preaching, and leading teams. Anne helped out in between school drop offs, sports practices, and other duties of being a full time momto their two boys. Today, twenty years later, the organization spans four regions, employs 21 national staff in Haiti, supports 5 missionary families working across 4 states and 2 countries, and has taken over 97 short-term mission teams into the field. That is roughly 1,400 people mobilized to preach the Gospel and serve the vulnerable and forgotten.

The vision has not changed: to see lives transformed as we share His hope and His love with the least of these by going to the unreached and restoring the broken.

The Global Mission In Haiti: Chanje Movement

Our Haitian ministry, Chanje Movement, is bringing a hope and a future to the children of Haiti through community transformation and revival. Over the past decade, the work in Haiti has grown into something tangible and measurable.

22 kids and young adults housed in our shelter and transition home
24,000 hot meals served in and around Port Au Prince over the past 10 years
60 kids given educational scholarships every year for primary, secondary, university, and trade school
$50,000 distributed in micro loans to help Haitians start businesses and build a better future

Humanitarian Aid

Over 20 years, the physical needs addressed alongside the Gospel have been significant.

30 houses built in Mexico
43 million gallons of fresh water pumped from wells in Haiti and South Asia
5,000+ patients treated in Haiti and South Asia

Reaching the Unreached: South Asia

In 2026 alone, we commissioned 400 pastors in South Asia to take the Gospel to remote, unreached villages. These are places where the name of Jesus has never been spoken. The work is not finished. It is just beginning.

The Global Mission in Middle East: Healing For Israel

Our ministry in Israel is focused on evangelizing to the curious, discipling new and mature believers, supporting soldiers and their families, and increasing the availability of counseling and trauma care for pastors and community leaders. To date, we have donated $20,000 specifically to counseling centers in Israel.

97+ Missions Teams and Counting

Over the past 20 years, we have taken more than 97 teams on short-term missions trips. That is 1,400 people who have stepped out of their everyday lives to preach the Gospel and serve the forgotten. Each one came back changed.

Our Team

The Global Mission was founded in 2006. For the first seven years, Dave was the only employee. Now we have 4 support staff working out of our Orange County office, 21 national staff in Haiti, and 5 missionary families working across 4 states and 2 countries.

4 Regions. 1 Vision.

North America. The Caribbean. South Asia. The Middle East. The geography is different. The need is the same.

Twenty years in, and the commission still stands: “You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.” Mark 16:15 As a time, we are honored and humbled that God has used us to make such a great impact.

Would you be part of what happens in the next twenty?

Last month, we sent a team to Mexico to build a home for Eduardo’s family. Eduardo and his two sons were living in a tiny camper that that was run down and leaked in the rain. Worse than the discomfort was the fact that Eduardo’s daughter, who lives primarily with her mother, was never able to spend the night with her dad and brothers. The family was in need of shelter and hope.

The team arrived on a Thursday and immediately got to work alongside Eduardo and his two sons. In just three days a two bedroom house was built, complete with furniture and a kitchen. The joy on the families face when they walked in for the first time was incredible (you can see it on the recap video below.)

As he watched the team, Eduardo noticed how well the team worked together. He couldn’t believe that this group of men would take time away from their jobs to serve him and his family. More than the house, the character of the men on the team made a big impression on him. After working alongside them for a few days, and seeing what it means to be a Godly man, Eduardo made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. So did his oldest son, Josten. Praise the Lord!

When we say “its about more than the house” this is exactly what we mean. It is about showing people the love of Christ and sharing the Gospel with them so that they have the opportunity to be born again. What an honor to be part of Eduardo’s and Josten’s salvation story!

But the story isn’t over. Our team was there for only a weekend, but Eduardo and Josten have committed to a life time of following Jesus. Like all Christians, they will need discipleship and encouragement. They are already connected to Pastor Felipe and live close to his church. Please pray that they are faithful in going and serving.

Although this trip is over, our ministry in Mexico is ongoing. We have partnered with two pastors, Pastor Rigo and Pastor Felipe, and we help them do community outreach throughout the year. You can donate to our Mexico work by going to our website www.theglobalmission.org/give

Tonight is the first night of Ramadan, an Islamic holy month that focuses on prayer, reflection and abstinence. During Ramadan, Muslims fast from all food and drink from sunrise to sunset. It is the most sacred time of year for Muslims and it signifies the month that they believe the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammed.

As Christians, we are called to pray for unbelievers in all parts of the world and in all religions. 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” If God cares about people’s salvation, we should do, and one way we can live out that care is through prayer.

This year, Ramadan overlaps with Lent, which is a somewhat rare occurance. Consider incorporating prayers for the Muslim world in your Lenten prayers and practices. Here are some things you can pray for.

Ways to Pray for Muslims

Pray that God would miraculously reveal Himself to Muslims who are in unreached people groups and have no Christians around them to share the Gospel.

Pray that Muslims all over the world would have their eyes open to the Truth of the Gospel and their hearts open to the love of Jesus.

Pray for peace between Muslim nations and other countries.

Pray for protection for Muslims against extremist governments.

Ways to Pray for Christians in the Muslim World

Pray for protection for Christians who face daily persecution for their faith.

Pray that God would provide community for Christians who have been ostracized from their families and friends.

Pray that Christians would be able to find online resources to strenghten their faith and their knowledge of scriptures.

Ways to Pray for Yourself

Pray that God would give you opportunities to engage with your Muslim neighbors in loving and meaningful ways.

Pray that God would reveal any particular prejudice in your heart against Muslims.

Ask the Holy Spirit to give you just the right words to speak whenever you are give the opportunity to share the Gospel with anyone.

At the end of October, The Global Mission took a team from Southern California down to Ensenada Mexico to build a loft house for a man named Sebastian. Sebastia is a 62-year-old man who had lost his home and most of his belongings in a fire earlier this year. He had also owned a convenience store that was attached to his home and destroyed in the fire. While he was able to rebuild his convenience store, he did not have enough money to rebuild his home.

The team, 29 people of all different ages and walks of life, gave Sebastian a home, security, a sense of belonging, and hope.

Sebastian worked alongside the building, painting and assembling furniture. He mentioned to the team that he loved the color of the new house, it was the same color as the house that had burnt down. That small detail meant a lot to him and was a divine reminder that God sees him, knows him, and loves him.

Once the house was complete, the team spoke words of encouragement over Sebastian, prayed for him, then handed him a Bible and the key to his new house. We are hopeful that on our next trip to Ensenada, we’ll be able to visit Sebastian and hear how his life was impacted by this incredible gift from the Lord.

In January, Anne and I (Dave) led a mission team to South Asia as part of our passionate commitment to bring the Gospel to those who’ve never heard. South Asia has many unreached people – and by unreached we essentially mean people who do not have the Gospel available to them by any means of their own. There isn’t a local church, nor a Bible in their language, and there aren’t people within their own community or culture who already follow Jesus. Did you know that there are more than 50 distinct groups of more than one million people each who don’t have a Bible in their language – and that’s just in south Asia. So it has been a very strategic choice for us to work to bring the Gospel there.

We gave our team a wide range of opportunities as we worked alongside our indiginous ministry partners: medical outreach, food outreach, blessing and praying for orphans and the elderly, as well as those afflicted with leprosy and their families. We held equipping events for pastors and their wives to encourage them amidst oppression from the government and spiritual darkness ever present in Hinduism.

Two days stood out with some amazing highlights and deeply meaningful connection.

On the final day of school before a holiday break, we sponsored a conference for all the students at a women’s college. After we met with all the teachers, the students had their turn to dance and perform on stage for us, much like you would see in a Bollywood movie. Then our team had the platform to share the powerful message of how Jesus sees and values each heart and soul individually. An invitation to receive Christ’s love was provided and we sensed how God was moving that day with so much joy. Many of the young women at the school asked for prayer afterwards and Anne was able to spend time with several of them and left with a special connection from that time.

Every student may be on a different spiritual journey, but they were so receptive to hearing the Gospel from our team. We know how powerfully they were called toward salvation, and we continue to pray for those who made decisions and those yet to take that step of faith.

The other momentous day occurred when we visited an extremely remote village located within a tiger reserve. The tribal people there are called the Chenchu, and they hunt with bow and arrow, and gather and forage for their survival. Their poverty was astonishing, and I share that having experienced some very rural and rustic settings. Fifty children from their village died in 2024 from malnourishment. Although they are bilingual, speaking the local Indian dialect and their own tribal tongue, most of the nearly 50,000 within the tribe are illiterate.

We were deeply moved by God’s compassion to help the Chenchu. This is an unreached people group who cannot read the Bible, do not have any churches nearby, and no one seems to be sharing the Gospel with them. In 2025 we will be working with our ministry partners to share Christ and assist with some of the humanitarian needs of the tribe. Please join us in prayer as we pursue this opportunity to bring the Gospel to those who have never heard.

36 hours. 20 men. 1 house.
The trajectory of one family’s future changed forever.

Carlos and Miriam grew up in Oaxaca, Mexico and met each other in high school. They married young and started a family. But life in Oaxaca was difficult and there were very few job opportunities. So they decided to move to Ensenada in hopes that they could make a better life for themselves and their two young children, Rosibel and Misael Alejandro.

In Ensenada, life was still difficult but there was hope. Carlos worked on a ranch 4 hours away and often had to leave the family for several weeks at a time. They lived with a family member in a room that leaked when it rained. But they were able to save up and purchase a plot of land and dreamed of one day building a home. Carlos even bought a tree and planted it on the lot. It was the only thing there and it was a reminder to not loose hope on their dream.

While Carlos was planting his tree of hope, a group of men from southern California were planning their yearly missions trip to Ensenada, Mexico. Our church partners work with us every year to build a home for a family in need. There are guys, like Chris P, who have been to Mexico dozens of times and others who have never left the country. There are guys like Tony A who are master builders and other guys who work in tech and rarely touch a hammer. Guys of different ages, marital status, job titles and faith journeys come together to serve God and serve others.

Through Yugo Ministries, the team was connected with Carlos and Miriam. For 3 days, the men and the family worked side by side, hammering, painting, sawing and drilling to create a two bedroom home that is warm, dry and safe. For the first time, the kids have their own beds and mom and dad have their own bedroom. There is space for a kitchen, dining room table and seating. Its a dream come true for a family that never stopped dreaming.

And that tree? It’s no longer the only thing on the property and its no longer a tree of just hope. Its a symbol of hope fulfilled.

Please continue to pray for Carlos, Miriam and their children. That they would thrive in their new home. That Carlos would find a better paying job closer to home. And that they would continue exploring Christianity and believe in Jesus’s plan of salvation for them all.

The ethnic groups of the Guera region of Chad are called “Hadjarai” which means “people of the mountains.” More than 550,000 Hadjarai, who speak 25 different languages, live in this hilly area in the centre of the country. The climate is dry and hot, with a rainy season from June to September. There is significant poverty, with most people in the villages living from agriculture and livestock farming.

The majority of the population in the Guera region are Muslim, though traditional African religions are also practiced. In almost every ethnic group, however, there are also up to approximately 5% Christians, and two language groups (Kenga and Guergiko) are comprised of around 30% Christians.

None of the Hadjarai languages have a complete Bible, though four have a New Testament with a fifth, Dadjo, becoming available this year. Because more than half their population have not learned to read and write, literacy work has been important, as well as creative ways to share the gospel through the creative arts.

Sharon rehearsed a theatre play with a group of Chadians about the death and resurrection of Jesus. It was performed on Good Friday in a large square in Mongo, a major city in the Hadjarai region. Around 200 adults and children watched, crowding close to the actors to see what happened to Jesus. A Muslim who was filming the crucifixion scene asked a friend next to him if Jesus Christ was really whipped and nailed like that. His friend didn’t know, so he said he wanted to get to the bottom of it. Two Muslim women found the torture of Jesus very moving. One said she could hardly believe it and wanted to know more.

How Can We Pray?

Pray for translation and literacy work in all the Hadjarai languages.

Pray for creative ways to share the gospel with the not-yet-literate.

For peace and stability in Chad.

A few years ago, on a previous Night of Power, two believers in Turkey were walking and praying along the seafront in Istanbul, asking God to speak to Turkish Muslims that night. Ahead, they overheard an agitated couple having a video phone conversation with one of their mothers: No, anne (mother) still no baby. But tonight is the Night of Power and we will be praying all night for a miracle.”

Laylat al-Qadr, the “Night of Power” or “Night of Destiny” is one of the most sacred events in the Islamic calendar. Believed to be the night when the Qur’an was sent into the world and its first verses revealed to Muhammad, Muslims believe that prayers and good deeds done on this night are of greater value than those done in a thousand months. Some trust in the words of Muhammad when he said, “Whoever stands (in prayer) during the Night of Power out of belief and seeking reward, his previous sins are forgiven.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1901) Many Muslims spend the night praying for forgiveness of sins and reciting the Qur’an.

The exact night of Laylat al-Qadr is debated by Islamic scholars, as it is believed to occur on any of the odd numbered days in the last ten days of Ramadan. In order to be found faithful on the actual night, some Muslims will observe i’tikaf (seclusion) during the last ten days in order to focus on reflection, prayer and to avoid involvement in worldly affairs.
