<p>Today&#8217;s Not Knit is featured in the Lion Brand Yarn newsletter - the <a href="http://www.lionbrand.com/6030/PictPage/1922238775.html" target="_blank" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/www.lionbrand.com');"><strong>Knit Kit: Knit Hooded Ponchette</strong></a>.</p>

<p>We like ponchos, I might even be okay with knitting a hood - I am having a hard time of thinking why you would just want a hood.  But I just don&#8217;t know why you would want a hood on a ponco, or in this case ponchette.  If it is so cold out that you need a hood, you are probably going to need more than a ponchette to keep you warm.  So this makes the Not Knit list for being impractacle.  Additionally the fur trim is too much, just too much.  We are guessing that most other knitters out there agree with our thoughts on this fur trimmed bizarre garment and that is why the kit is on sale for 50% off.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignright" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_RoMr4cfG5Ao/SNKzQflzJUI/AAAAAAAABac/G9lsKZvsIes/s400/zigzag.jpg" alt="" width="323" height="400" />I saw this quilt <a href="http://whipup.net/2009/01/27/tutorial-zig-zag-quilt/" target="_blank" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/whipup.net');">posted on Whip-Up</a> today.  I really like the idea of quilt making, quilts are beutiful works of art and too diffiucult to make - you don&#8217;t need to sew a zipper into a quilt.  But rarly do you see a quilt pattern that fits in with more modern decor.  This quilt is really cool - I like the geometic pattern and I think you could adapt this to work with lots of different fabrics.  I do like the colors that were selected for this quilt.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.filminthefridge.com/2008/09/29/a-fall-colored-zig-zag-quilt/" target="_blank" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/www.filminthefridge.com');">Film in the fridge</a> created a zig-zag quilt with fall colors. <a href="http://www.runawayoctober.com/2008/12/zigging-and-quilting/" target="_blank" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/www.runawayoctober.com');"> Runaway October</a> created a zig-zag quilt with a slightly different take on the pattern but still had some great results. </p>
<p>If you were to make this quilt with fabrics from our shop - which fabrics would you choose?</p>
