Real or not real? This tattoo is thankfully not real and only temporary, however at this etsy page find many other better and geeky temporary tattoos

a couple of examples after the jump

The white tree of Gondor from lord of the rings.

Mockingjay symbol form the Hunger Games.

An arty brain

2014-02-05T21:42:00.001+00:00

This is a neuron, done with a colourful watercolour like flare. It's pretty vibrant.

It does look like a neuron, but it wouldn't have come to mind if I hadn't have known. Looks cool anyway.

[Source]

Well that was risky

2014-02-03T06:55:00.001+00:00

Well this could have looked quite stupid.

Strength (pokemon)

2013-08-02T18:48:00.001+01:00

An old cliché of tattoos, is applying an attribute (say something like wisdom or honour) that you, yourself wish to imbue. Here we have strength tattoos, and of course having it in Chinese is one of the favourite ways of doing it.

[Source]

Of course you can't forget a good bit of tribal.

[Source]

Here's even more tribal but made do fit in with how the character is written, sort of.

[Source]

Here's Megan Fox with the strength character on her neck.

[Source]

You can always get them in English too.

But if you REALLY want to be original... check out this masterpiece!

Shaun of the Dead

2013-07-29T14:05:00.002+01:00

I saw The World's End, and I enjoyed it, however here's a reminder of their first awesome film in it's gory splendour.

Slenderman

2013-05-10T09:00:00.000+01:00

If you're fond of sleeping soundly, then I would advise not playing Slender: the 8 pages at 2am in the dark on your own, especially as your shrieks may wake other people.

Here are the best Slenderman Tattoos I could find

[source: Reddit]

I really like the background, the misty lunar glow.

[Source: imgur]

Classic slenderman, not sure the overlapping with a flower helps this tattoo though.

Whole bunch more below, after the jump.

Star Trek - Part 1 (weird and wacky)

2013-05-08T09:00:00.000+01:00

I'm looking forward to the new movie, till then enjoy this rather mixed bag of Star Trek Tattoos.

Love for Wesley.

Hate for Wesley.

Yes, it's a Spockoctopus. No I don't know why.

Pretty colourful.

Might even say decent.

And a little one for last.

I may do more star trek posts, stick around!

Game of Thrones - Part1

2013-05-03T09:00:00.000+01:00

There are a huge number of Game of throne tattoos out there, and I plan to hunt out the best ones, but to start off I'll just show this, to me, rather brilliant tattoo.

2013-05-01T09:00:00.000+01:00

This definitely saves on the cost of getting 2 extra tattoos...

What you see before you is a Dr. Who, Lord of the rings, Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy tattoo mash up.

Mystical elephant tattoo

2013-04-19T13:59:00.003+01:00

This is pretty weird, there are so many bits of symbolism that I have no idea what's going on.

I blame the Illuminati obviously.

Let me know if you know what it represents.

Despicable Me - Part 2

2013-04-17T09:00:00.000+01:00

There's something about the just tattooed bloody look that makes this awesome in a someones been murdered way, that or the minion is very drunk to have eyes that bloodshot.

Sorry Sheleen - Tattoo fail

2013-04-08T09:00:00.000+01:00

Could have been a cute little cartoon of her, unfortunately the tattoo being lumpy headed and with a broken hand ruins it quite a bit.

Punk thinker

2013-04-05T14:40:00.001+01:00

I quite like this, more punk than steampunk.

Head tattoos aren't really for me, she might have a spring lose in there. Also I can't quite work out what the faded tattoo at the back is.

Bioshock - Part 3

2013-04-03T16:09:00.001+01:00

Another one!

2013-03-06T22:47:00.000+00:00

This is a little bit late but meh, the number of Romney tattoos in existence is up to 2.

This is Stephen Johnsen of Coral Springs, Florida

[Source]

At least it's not on his face, but this is the only example of someone getting a Romney tattoo I could find, that didn't involve being paid to do so.

I wonder who'll get's laser treatment first.

Leviticus

2013-03-04T23:12:00.001+00:00

Leviticus is a fairly notorious book of the Bible, one with many of the odder rules to be a Christian.

Leviticus 18:22 is the verse forbidding gay sex, something this man clearly agrees with.

If you can't quite read it, it says:

"Thou shalt not lie with a male as one does with a woman. It is an abomination"

He's clearly never read Leviticus as in chapter 19 verse 28, Tattoos are also banned.

This verse has however itself inspired some (ironic?) tattoos.

I have a feeling these people aren't the strongest lovers of the bible. these final guys (I think?)

have the entire verse written out.

"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am the LORD"

there's one partially bare bum, so catch them under the jump, plus a theological/academic video on Leviticus.

Bioshock - Part 2
