I am the Myal: Abba Kwamé Penín Sáaba. For Myal, the Tree is a sacred representation and link to being one and in sync with everything most important. In this article, I want to give a brief explanation of the legacy of the Tree, and why it is an important figure in Ourstory.

The word tree, stems from deru in Proto Indo-European. It is known as δένδρον or déndron in Greek. It is also referred to as flora in science, etz in Hebrew, kum and odum in Asante, khet in the Medu Neter (Ancient Egyptian Divine Words), and is a very special and ancient symbol. It was represented by many cultures in ancient times and was synonymous or interchangeable with beings worshipped. The tree was/is a part of concepts such as balancement or equilibrium, chaos and order, good and evil, life and death, night and day, healthiness and sickness, vegetation and drought, and blood sacrifice. It is also related to celestial occurences such as our planet's rotation, the sun, the shifting of the planet's axis (vernal equinox), and what we percieve as time.

The types of tree species that were involved in the above philosophical, spiritual, and/or religous ideas were many (Tamarisk, Sycamore, Cedar, Evergreen Date Palm). The main ones that will be focused on in this work is the Oak, the Acacia, and the Cotton Tree.

THE SACRED TREES
Our present world, because of the events that took place during what I call the Industrial Commerce of Human Kidnapping (slavery), has been dominated by only a few types of tree symbols while the others were/are shrouded or invisible. The most famous of these trees are the Christmas Tree of the Christians, and the biblical trees of good and evil and life. What we do not understand or comprehend is that those trees stem from older traditions. In fact, these trees, are the result of the mixing of older tree concepts of an even older time period.

The Original Christmas Tree was never about the Mass of Christ (Greek: Kristos/Medu Neter: Karast) or the Mass that originates from the Catholic Church. The Church and the Christ were added later. The tree, the Oak in particular, was taken from the Druidic Priesthood blood sacrifice ritual. It consisted of healing and magic rites. The Druids were located in what is now Western Europe (Germany). The sacrifice of blood with the tree was already a part of the Germanic Tribes, before the doctrine of Christianity, so there was a commonality in symbols.

The ritual of the tree was originally called Yule, where the Christians get the Yuletide song. The Yule (tree) is an old Germanic pagan ritual and festival where the tree was adorned with fruits, paper, and other things. Because of Roman imperialism and the need to have the new state religion dominant throughout all its provinces, there was an effort to make sure that all pagan culture in Europe incorporate or replace their symbols and rituals with the Roman sanctioned form of Christianity. The Druids were in a Roman province and virtually wiped out and what was left of their rituals remained within Catholic rituals.

The tree for the Catholic Church was attributed to the Nativity Scene dedicated to the birth of Jesus. Martin Luther, in his protest and demand for reform, took the Catholic meaning of the tree and changed it to the Tree of Life and the Garden of Eden for his movement. Ironically, that was not far from the truth.

An Example of the Christmas Tree

The Tree of Life and of Good and Evil are concepts that were grafted and put inside the bible. It's taken from the older tradition of the Khet Ankh (Tree of life) of Iusaset, the Mother of all mothers, and Atum, in the doctrine of the College of Iunu (Heliopolis) located at the bottom of the world (north). This is why the heritage of first people are associated with a tree.

TREE BEINGS OF WORSHIP
As said above Iusaset and Atum are beings associated with a tree, specifically the Acacia Tree. They are fertility beings and is of the original story of the Tree of Life. The popular being named God(English substitute of Elohim and Theos), an attribute of the Norse Aesir Odin, became associated with the tree of life story in the bible around the 4th Century C.E. because of a man named Ulfilas. Odin (Where we get Wednesday), in the person of God, was worshipped by the Germanic Tribes of Northern Europe and the children of those tribes made God popular after the 17th Century C.E. via imperialism and overcoming the French. This was also due to the promotion and propagation of one of the many Germanic language translations of the bible.

Jesus (English), or Iesoos (Greek), or Yashua (Aramaic) or Yehoshua (Hebrew), is also a worshipped tree being, despite what some might say. The Greek name of Jesus, Iesoos, is the composite of the high being Yah of Judea (Judah/Yehudah) and of the high being named Zeus, giving us Yah-Zeus. It was a normal occurence for an ancient conquering nation to add their high being to that of the conquered or vassal nation. So since Zeus is a part of that matrix, it would not be unusual to know that he also had a sacred tree that was dedicated to him. It was located at the Greek City of Dodona.

A part of his story is also a composite of the Asar (Osiris in Greek) and Ra stories put together. And both of them represents death and resurrection at the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. This short day took place in the fourth month of Akhet, Ka Har Ka, of the Ancient Egyptian Calendar and the tenth month of December of the ancient Roman Calendar (Roman solar calendar was copied from Ancient Egypt). Jesus' birthday was put near the time of the solstice and replaced more than just Asar as a worshipped being. Since those other beings (ie Saturn) do not represent trees, I will only focus on the ones that do.

Asar is a symbol of fertility and vegetation and was also the first bloodletting murder before the passion of Jesus in the biblical story. Jesus' (who is also the sun) pathway to heaven is through the tree. Ra passes through heaven via the tree as a celestial vehicle. This is why the Druid Tree was easily put together with Jesus since he was/is also a Zeus Tree, Ra Tree, and Asar Tree altogether.

To go back once more to the land of the Druids, which was called Gaul (Area of Modern Germany) by the Romans, the Germanic/Anglo Saxon high being or Aesir: Thor (where we get Thursday) also had the tree linked to him. The curious thing is that both Thor and Zeus not only commanded thunder but had the Oak tree as their symbol. Thor's literal tree representative in northern Germany was destroyed during aggressive Christian proselytization in the Eighth Century C.E. (conversion).

So the tree, as said earlier, is dendron in Greek. The so-called cross that Jesus was supposedly crucified on was called σταυρός, translated into english as Stauros. It is the wood from the dendron that he was put on. Within Jesus and his apparent crucifixion on the Stauros, there are multiple trees (Ra, Asar, Zeus) behind his present day manifestation alongside the tree (Thor, Yule, Zeus) attributed to the Catholic Mass. Martin Luther, as said earlier, redefined the Christian Genesis story, which brought him closer to the truth of what the Tree's originally purpose was for: to support and to sustain life.

The nurturing side of the tree can be seen in the feminine beings or principles within. The Oak Tree was not only attributed to Zeus, but was originally attributed to the most ancient Theos named Gaia (root of Geology) that was the original being of the tree. She represented being the Mother of all the Theos and other beings for the Greeks. So it was Zeus and Gaia in the Greek Tree, and this is also seen in Miriam/Mary and Jesus. Both the Koine (Common) Greek New Testament beings (Jesus/Mary) and the Greek Pantheon beings (Zeus/Gaia) are just copies of the Tree of Life associated with Isusaset, the Mother of all Mothers, and Atum.

The Odum, the Asante Tree of Life, is the offspring of Asase Yaa (mother earth) and Nyame, the Supreme State of Being. The tree is also referred to as Nyame Dua or Tree of the Supreme Being.

This can be expressed within these triads:

Asase Yaa + Nyame = Odum/Tree (Original)

Isusaset + Atum = Khet/Tree (Original)

Gaia + Zeus = Dendron/Tree

Miriam/Mary + Jesus = Stauros/Tree

The association but not the origin of Jesus and Asar/Ra/Zeus is known by some. The association but not the origin of why Jesus and the Christmas Tree are linked is known by many. What we also do not know of, or even comprehend, is the Kum (tree) of the Ancient Asante and Akan. The tree is associated with how the nation's settlements were first established by the workings of an Asante Priest (Okumfo). There was also a duality within the story. One tree represented life while the other represented death. Here we have a very apparent form of balancement that can be likened unto Ra (Life) and Apep (Death) via Ma'at.

In the Akan, the umbrella family of the Asante, Adinkra symbols, which represent wisdom and spirituality, also contain symbols of the tree. Those symbols represent the mercy of Nyame (Supreme State of Being) and the endurance and perseverance of the individual. These Adinkra, as well as others, are from West Afrikan teachings.

The Silk-Cotton Tree, Odum in the Asante and another form of the Kum, was used in the community rituals to cleanse individuals and the family spiritually. Like in other Afrikan derived traditions (Santeria, Lucumi, Candomble, Vodoun), these eventually came to work together with our interpretation of Colonial Christianity and produced spiritual expressions such as the Native Baptist and/or Kumina (Pocomania) inside Yamaye-Xaymaca (Jamaica), the country that is part of my background and origins.

North Afrikan contributions and Western Europe distortions to the tree came in contact with the West Afrikan tree doctrine, and the latter was almost entirely destroyed in the Caribbean in the 19th Century C.E. The residue of this Sacred Tree Doctrine remained embedded within the discipline of the Myal Order and was told to me by my elders in Yamaye. This is what I represent.

So the reverence of the tree is a part of our sacred culture. The irony about it is that the Druid, the Norse, the Greek, the Ancient Egyptian, and the Asante trees were/are enslaved by the Christmas Consciousness during the time of Slavery (Semi-Feudalism). Christmas as a super marketing and capitalizing machine reached its present state in the early 20th Century. The commercialized tree and all of its symbolic associates was set up (and still is) to deceive the entire world.

THE TREE IS AN ANCIENT BEING
As I said earlier, the tree symbolizes a variety of concepts, each of them dealing with opposites. The Asante Kum tree was about life and death and is an analogy to chaos (Apep) and order (Ra), which is controlled by Ma'at, the straight and just way.

Ra was originally protected by the Neter Set/Sutukh in the tree vessel in order to stop Apep from devouring Ra during His travels throughout Gerek (night). This represented the rotation of the planet in relation to the sun. Rotation is further emphasized by the seasons or the repeated cycles of the Akhet (Flooding), Peret (Harvesting), and Shemu (Drying). In this instance, it symbolizes the time of Asar's passion, his life, death, and transfiguration. Asar is fertility so Asar's new life is represented in Peret season. These events, for the ancients, occurred millions of years ago, and the tree is a symbol of that long lasting cycle of events.

Scientifically speaking the tree is a long-lived being. A single tree can potentially live for thousands of years, and the tree genus is more ancient than a significant amount of life on this planet we now call Earth. Specifically, the tree is manifested from its plant mother (Iusaaset) called algae in the oceans. It evolved to its present state 240 million years ago (M.Y.A.) way before the time of what is called Homo Erectus. It was the main vehicle in changing the atmosphere of the planet by making oxygen become more abundant than carbon dioxide causing animal life to thrive and grow on the surface.

THE DESTRUCTION AND ENSLAVEMENT OF THE SACRED TREE
Like I said earlier, the tree is enslaved by this world. There is a religious, political, and economic grip on trees and because of this, much life was/is being destroyed and eliminated because of the lost of ecosystem. On the religious/economic end, the tree was distorted and became a symbol of blood drinking and flesh devouring, reflecting a collective death sentence masquerading as human resurrection (in the case of Jesus). The popular Abrahamic religions (which happened to be filled with many tree symbols), all contain the tree but deny the truth of the tree's rightful place in nature, and in Neteru, and Nyame (Asante Supreme Being).

On the politico-economic end, our most ancient trees, particularly in Afrika, is also being wiped out by ecoterrorism. It is common knowledge that there are major forests within Afrika and within South America that play a huge role in sustaining our atmosphere as well as containing plants to cure present diseases and those yet to come.

Greed and an abuse of economics is behind this problem, and the Christmas Tree is the great ruse of our enemies. It is the greatest representation of European rooted technology abusing nature. This misrepresents and twists the idea of this Living Being. We understand that the Christmas Tree is:

1) Made for show and for the belief in blood cannibalism (Yule and Jesus) promoted by today's popular religion.

2) A facsimile of the True Sacred Tree (Kum/Odum/Khet) and is being sold and spread across for the sake of mass consumption and greed.

3) It appears in each home to represent fairy tales of dead men associated with Christianity (Jesus and St. Nicholas).

4) It helps in promoting lies

The ancient trees are our elders and one of our eldest cousins (before we were, the tree was). If we do not put a stop to this, our denying the spiritual truth of this sacred being, our Mother, the planet will defend it and all of the Wise People, the species called Homo sapien, will be destroyed in the wake.

We must free ourselves from the Deru the origin and root of the word tree (we use the word tree throughout this post because many are not use to the Khet, Odum, and the Kum). We must free ourselves from the Oak Tree of Yule, of Thor, of Zeus (now known as the Christmas Tree), of the Stauros of Jesus, and of death and blood. We must come back to the Nyame Dua, to the Kum of Asante, to the Khet of Ta-Mery, the real sacred Tree. Only through reclaiming the Khet and Kum is their knowledge, wisdom, and comprehension. And this reclamation will unify the family, cleanse and restore the soul, balance the ecosystem for all carbon-based life, oxygen, and carbon dioxide.

While the Green Movement is a striving towards the tree and the planet as a whole, it is not enough to just fight on those levels. We must spiritually revere and venerate the tree with ourselves and our ancestors as we did in the past. It is a part of the key to Global Unity for all Indigenous People.

We, the Myal, bear witness to the sacred tree doctrine of all Indigenous Nations. We also hold in high regard the Kindah Tree of Accompong, Jamaica. It is our tree of resistance, courage, and most importantly, family unity.

WHO AND WHAT ARE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE?

Before I go on, I want to say that this particular post is not about challenging the naming conventions Africa or Indigenous. That will be a topic for another post. The naming convention is important to understand as well as knowing today's names for lands, peoples, concepts, etc. are heavily rooted in the moves of temporal powers throughout Ourstory. Some naming conventions are necessary for me to touch upon because they relate to the ideas brought across in this article.

This post will be dealing solely with presenting the Myal's position concerning Indigenous People (IP) by giving a fundamental and simplified understanding of migrations coming out the land mass which the world calls Africa presently, and how we interpret those various bodies of people.

Some Vocabulary
Since a lot of the vocabulary that defined early Indigenous Peoples was taught by European schools, and those same schools used Greek and Latin script and cultural meanings as the basis of learning, I thought it necessary to point it out here. I will simplify the terms so that it will be easier to read throughout this article.

Nature= Latin for Natura. It stems from the root Neteru. We will use nature.

Glyph for Neteru

Homo=Latin for human or person. This has a Proto Indo-European (PIE) root stemming back to Ancient India. We will simply use people.

Sapien= Latin for wise, and has a PIE root.
We will use the word wise.

Erectus= Latin for erect or upright and also has a PIE root. We will use upright.

Ergaster= From the Greek word ergon meaning work. We use the word working to replace it.

Pangea= Pan is from the Greek word for all, and gea is from Gaia. It is equivalent to the English Earth. We will use whole for pan and land mass in place of gea. Thus it will be the whole Landmass.

Neanderthal= refers to land where the bones of this type of Homo sapien was found. We will use Neandertal instead.

So, Homo sapien will be wise people. Homo erectus will be upright people. Homo ergaster will be working people. And, Homo sapiens Neanderthalensis would be wise Neandertal people.

The Land Mass Diaspora
We immediately think of people when we think of a diaspora. This is indeed true. But when considering this topic, I want to expand the idea of a diaspora as not only a separating and scattering of peoples, but a separating and scattering of land masses. This was caused by Nature, specifically by tectonic movements (mobile land masses) and orogenesis (creation of mountains).

The land masses go through cycles of Unity, Duality, and Multiplicity. This has been taking place for billions of years. For the sake of this work, we will start with the most recent.

The land mass we now call Africa, was at the heart of one big land mass scientists called Pangea or the whole landmass of the planet connected together. It existed during the Paleozoic and Cenozoic Era (250 million years ago). That mass broke into two major parts ( the first duality), and then into the continents that we presently know today (multiple parts). The upper continent scientists call Laurasia and the lower continent is called Gondwana. These two masses came into existence (200 million years ago).

The question of who and what are Indigenous Peoples (IP) is better answered through trying to find out the where and when the spreading or migrations of the same people occurred. In popular thought, or at least with those concerned with a diaspora, the focus would be the scattering of Indigenous people (called black) or melanin sufficient peoples, forced or otherwise, from the Continent of Africa in the centuries spanning the 16th to the 19th. I tend to call that the INDIGENOUS PEOPLES MIGRATIONS of 400 years ago or IPM 400 YA (years ago)

The IPM 400 YA is a very important time in that there were a lot of groundbreaking things that took place. The interaction of peoples in Europe with others sparked a lot of enterprising and terrible things that has lasting impact until this day. Many of these occurrences took place because nations contributed (in part) in the development of European imperial and aristocratic consciousness (mainly peoples from Africa, China, India, Palestine, and Arabia). The areas of contribution are: mathematics, religious thought, philosophy, science, and a host of other things. These concepts were adopted as well as innovated by Europeans within the different nation-states that appeared after the fall of the Roman Empire (This is not to say that Europe never had any of their own stuff and there weren't things done solely by European creativity. I point out the contributions because racist want to make Europe an anomale created in a vacuum).

Since this article is about the Indigenous Peoples Migrations of different times, and not entirely about the detailed events of 400 years ago, I will only state the fact that there were new innovations such as the idea of the nation-state, Industrialism, Anthropology, Fledgling Capitalism, Religion, and Pseudo-Science or Scientific Racism. All of these played a part in how European monarchies, aristocracies, soldiers, adventurers, and the like, perceived and/or justified the enslavement of peoples through collusion with the leadership of the victimized nations they encountered. That same leadership, by way of their own greed, as well as justification for political advantage and power, worked with Europeans to allow for families to be separated causing unspeakable and forgivable grief to take place.

The Forced Migration and Kidnapping of Indigenous Peoples or Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade (IPM 400 YA) is the most famous and sensational of all Diasporas ever recorded simply because it left a lasting impression upon how people live, do business, worship, make decisions on technology, government and civil rights, treat and relate to each other, in the United States, and the world in general. This era also produced the outstanding leaders/organizations that fought/fight for AD since the 17th Century, as well as produced terrible and unforgivable despots and organizations.

At this point, I want to mention that while people focus on the tragedies of the time period above (and rightfully so), they tend to not research or ignore the leading of Indigenous Peoples, via their own technology, in traveling across the planet before the time of the European. This ignorance was/is reinforced by the European and Indigenous People as well. The systematic disenfranchisement and depowering of the Indigenous Populations who, prior to European temporal rule, conquered and also serviced European nations to become powerful, led to a dramatic shift in power. Indigenous Peoples losing their temporal authority in the world led to a type of revisionist history that only supported the illusory superiority of the European Aristocracy.

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MIGRATIONS
So we look at a diaspora as a mass dispersion of people going towards one or more lands with a source country or continent those said people revere, desire, or want to go back towards, in a culture sense or in other ways. A diaspora can also be within the said country the people cherish. In other words, it can simply be a displacement of people via removal or otherwise, within the same land.

When we look through the annals of time, we can understand that there are diasporas or mass dispersions of people for thousands upon thousands of years, so much that the complexity of diasporas that took place would be hard to categorize and be studied properly if no significant scientific effort is put into it. For this post, I will just touch upon diasporas relating to Afrika that I consider significant and important for all to know, particularly those affected or those only knowing about what is called the kidnapping and Forced Migration of Indigenous Peoples (slave trade) of 400 years ago.

IPM 2, 000, 000 YA
Most Bioanthropologists and Paleoanthropologists (intellectual children of the Greek Philosophers, Moorish Philosophers, Natural Philosophers, and even earlier, the Wabu Priests of old Egypt) bear witness to the idea that the Upright People (homo erectus) dispersed from out of what is known as Africa roughly two million years ago. This is what I refer to as the INDIGENOUS PEOPLES MIGRATION of 2,000, 000 YA in the period scientists and/or geologists called Pleistocene. A select branch of the Working People (homo ergaster)(Eastern amd South African Beings) species migrated out to populate what is now called Asia and then into what is now called Europe and created their own cultures/tool industries (tool industries are the modification of stones for communal use. the most ancients ones are found in Africa). They are the Upright People. The Upright People are the children of the Working People.

These Upright People were similar to their future progeny but had distinct characteristics that differed from the beings that came after them. Their bipedalism, skull contours and skeleton, muscle distribution, and weight, were relative to their type of environ.

Now at this point, many groups want to say that there was some type of alien intervention that moved Upright People genetically towards the Wise People(Homo sapiens). This post is not dealing with alien worship or reverence. It is the same thing as spookism to me.

The beings that were different from the above were the Wise Northern People (Homo sapiens Neanderthalensis) or Wise Neandertals. Their skull size were more like their cousins the Homo sapiens sapiens (Modern Wise People) except they still maintained some of the skeletal and facial features of Upright People (Homo erectus). They occupied Europe and dominated the Eurasian continent and had their own culture, which consisted of burials, elder care, art, as well as tool industries (some tool industries more sophisticated than their cousins to the south).

They coexisted with their cousins, the Wise People (Homo sapiens) of Europe and there is also evidence of both Neanderthal and Homo sapiens actually producing children. The evidences suggest that they were wiped out by change in environment, scarcity of food, and the ability for their cousins to adapt and absorb remaining Remet Tamahu (Neanderthals).

Those same Wise People (Homo sapiens) not only occupied Europe but also Asia. The Upright, the Working, and the Wise People that came before them resided in Africa. The ones that were before them (200, 000 years before their migration) were the Older Wise People (Archaic Homo sapiens

And so this, IPM 15, 000 YA group populated the rest of the planet, creating the Original Dravidian Civilizations of what is called India and Shang or Nah-ki Civilizations of Chin (China), the original dark-skinned Asians. Some of these spread into the northern hemisphere creating the original Inuit groups (falsely called Eskimos).

Each of these Civilizing Groups created the pyramid structures in each region of the planet, and many of the old glyphs, scripts, customs, roughly match each other. This also reinforces the idea of cultural diffusion out of the African continent.

The Ancient or Older Wise People within the continent of Africa continued, and they created the ancient pyramid structures of what is now called Egypt, the structures of Timbuktu, Khart-haddas, Nok Kingdom, and the like. The reentry of groups coming back into the continent took place. And the spreading of these groups (Shang Dynasty) on the Asian side came through what is now called the Pacific Ocean (Shang) while on the Afrikan end, groups (Olmec) came through what is now called the Atlantic Ocean. These group comingled and were responsible for a heavy influence on later groups such as the Aztec, Mayans, Arawaks, Caribs, Tainos, and a variety of other Native Caribbean and American ethnicities.

The Advent of Muhammad and the Jihad of the Arabs spawned many Indigenous Peoples of Africa to be enslaved and forcefully moved to areas in Arabia, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, and further into what is now called India. And while the originally inhabitants were wooly haired and black skinned originally, this changed within the thousands of years from the pleistocene era. The enslaved Afrikans gave the population a new infusion of the diverse strains that inhabited the African continent. This caused the inhabitants of the Southeast Asia and India to be of a very dark melanin.

I must mention that at this point there was a heavy migration of Indigenous Peoples from the African continent (known as Moors and Black-a-Moors)going into Europe for conquest. These Moors, of both African and Arab background were numbering near a million inside the Iberian peninsula.

With the political and economic popularity of Islam during the Gregorian 8th and 15th Centuries, there were other migrations taking place. One Malian Mansa (king) took leave of West Africa and set expeditions towards the lands towards the west. This is a secondary contact with Indigenous African peoples with what is now called the Caribbean. These events took place about 300 years before the European adventurers/travelers (helped by Moorish Science) in the person of the Portuguese.

And during the time of European colonialism, the formation of Mixed Indigenous Communities of both Continental African and Native Caribbean descent took place. These mixtures led to names such as Maroons, which some define as escaped animal. Cimarrón is the spanish root word of Maroon, and the root of the word Cimarron is the spanish word cima, which simply means top, in relation to the mountains. So we were/are People of the Mountain or Mountain People, despite whether Europeans regarded us as feral. If you do a study, anything not fitting under colonial rule and law was considered wild, uncivilized, and a host of other pejoratives, simply because they resisted colonial control.

The Mountain Peoples on the island now called Jamaica (British rule - Jamaica, Spanish rule Santiago, Our rule - Xaymaka) was a diverse group of Yamaye, Moors, Akan, Fon, Garamantes (Koramanti), and Congo peoples. Out of this melting pot, the MYAL, the first organized spiritual expression to contend colonialism and oppression, European Supremacy, and disunity, was born! We are still here!

SO WHO AND WHAT ARE THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES?
They are a diverse body of people, most anciently connected to land and nation, and are the founding body of the entire planet. The reasons being is:

1) there is no need for belief (religiously) or conversion because Indigenous People have overwhelming evidence of their existence as founding members of the planet.

2) Indigenous Peoples encompasses the entire body of people of the past, the present, as well as the future.

3) The ancient aspect of Indigenous People can also be seen through the woman and her mitochondrial DNA, so the woman is first in that respect (and in other cases)

4) it goes back further than 6, 000 years (Adam), 4,000 years (Moses), 2,000 years (Jesus), 1, 400 years (Muhammad)

5) and it points towards the original and authentic beginnings of all Hominid or Working (Ergaster), Upright (Erectus), and Wise (sapiens) People - life in the millions of years in the making

The dominant faith systems today would want us:

1)to be converted to specific religious bodies that support the reverence of only select Indigenous Peoples and not the overwhelming majority

2)want us to believe in a short existence (4, 004 C.E.) for a planet that existed for billions of years.

3)want us to believe that life was created in segments and that the woman was created AFTER the man (false)

Much of the above ideas for the popular blind faith-based systems violate the Law and Order of the Nature (nature). This violates the truth behind the way Indigenous Peoples migrated out of the beautiful land mass presently called Africa.

Indigenous Peoples Migrations is ancient, a multi-level event spanning millions of years. Let us help fight for the preservation and survival of all the Indigenous!

SO WHO IS THIS BEING CALLED GOD?

Before I begin family, I want you to know that this post is extremely simplified and is only meant to spark study and curiosity within you, and for you to understand our position.

WHY A BLACK OR WHITE TYPE OF GOD?
If you have read my other post The Legacy of Organized Resistance, you would see that the idea of god was being associated with Indigenous People and/or rooted in the idea of a black savior and origin story starting in the early Nineteenth Century. What I did not explain in the last blog is that much of the reasons for a black god is because of the race ideology that worked in collusion with religion, class, economics, culture in general, that was/is impressed upon Indigenous People by the European inherited power structure/system on American soil. In other words, a lot of social ideas were centered around one group of people (called whites) being supreme over others, and this supreme race philosophy also worked well with a racially supreme being of religion.

Good examples of the above would be the Protestant philosophy of Calvinism via John Calvin and the pseudo-scientific philosophy called Social Darwinism via Herbert Spencer. The aspect of Calvinism that should be considered is the notion of predestination, that god had already determined the destiny of an individual, and there is nothing that they can do to change it. Whatever a person ends up doing in their existence, it should forever dominate the rest of their life because it is an unchanging divine path. A person cannot elevate or change because it is not what the Calvinist Christian and their doctrine of god intended.

Social Darwinism, a social and crude interpretation of the scientific work of Charles Darwin, posited that people are somehow made to be in the situation they are in because of their social evolutionary status. If a person is a tradesman, then that is how he or she is supposed to be relative to their society.

While these two types of thinking (Calvinism and Social Darwinism) were at odds, they did work well to maintain the idea that Indigenous People were a low or inferior people, religious or otherwise. For the Calvinist, god says Indigenous Peoples, so-called blacks were/are to stay slaves, while a Social Darwinist interpretation would say that the institution of slavery is a natural expression in how the Indigenous, in this case so-called blacks, adapted to society.

Changing the face and doctrine of god and ideas related to nature was the way so-called blacks went about fighting against the above mindsets (AME Church/Peace Mission). In later attempts, we tackled the history and origins of god (Moorish Science Temple/Nation of Islam). Some presented god as a purely a racial root, while others not only used a racial identity for god (UNIA-ACL) but also used locations and/or people within the bible and qur'an and labeled themselves after those people (Moorish Science Temple/Black Hebrew Israelites).

So the Indigenous People, who are most anciently connected to land and nation, and call themselves by many names, used god with either the racial category Black or Moor, to redefine the ideas and doctrine of god. This was done in order for god to work upon their behalf, on all levels of society and self-development.

The problems presented with the above attempts is that we failed to recognize several issues that stem from colonialism:

1) god somehow equals or is better than the Creative Being (s) of Indigenous religions and spiritual expression

2) god is used generically as a term to describe a universal creator and no one challenges it

3) many do not considers that the etymological root of god would also have god's true origin

4) and lastly, its ok to racialize god in the same way the european's and their descendants had done

Before going into the root of where god comes from, we must understand what caused this type of creative being to become the standard for the world we presently live in. And what I mean by standard is that this being, with the proper name of god, is a dominant being pervading the religious and spiritual understanding of the diverse groups of peoples across the entire planet.

Some of you would say: what's wrong with that? My answer would be everything is wrong with that. Please read on...

THE EUROPEAN UNDERSTANDING OF SELF
Many things were happening in Europe from since the Eight Century C.E. Race and race grouping, the ranking and ordering of life, ideas of a chosen people, scarcity of resources, overcrowding of European nations, and the need for adventure became dominant themes.

The Ancient Nubian Egyptians contributed much knowledge to the early Europeans (Greeks, Minoans, Etruscans, Sea Peoples, Romans) and Asiatics (Retennu, Peleset, Hatti, Amu, Haribu, and Shasu). This contribution took place in philosophy, religion, and science. So, when considering dominant religious doctrines of the past, these events happened under the Greek Theos and Roman Deus, the Germanic and Norse Aesir, the Elohim of Judaism and Christianity, and the Allah of Islam.

Orthodox Islam embraced the teachings of the Nubian Egyptian via the philosophy of the old Greek, Roman, and Ptolemaic philosophers. Within that expression of Islam, there was a heavy contribution to Europe at a time where education and literacy was outlawed to the general citizen via the Catholic Church. It was called the Dark Age ironically, and much of the Islam and non-Islamic Africans were called Moors or Black-a-moor by the Europeans.

Without going into a wide range of contribution (and there were), the specific idea and philosophy of race, mathematics, oceanography, topography, and navigation, were key contributions to the European consciousness. In arabic, there was the word Al-raz, which meant chief or head family. There is also the book called the Book of the Glory of the Black Race over the White Race. In terms of traveling, the Moors were highly skilled in creating ships as well as sailing the seas (this is not to say that the so-called Vikings did not also play a great part in travel and creating vessels as well).

This Dark Age caused many of the learned of Europe to seek education within North Africa. After the expulsion of Moors as a temporal power within the many European nations Moors occupied, the consciousness of race, and a Pan-European Christian Nationalism, started to emerge.

Race developed into big national myths for Europeans. Plenty of Europeans groups found themselves racially superior to other Europeans based on skull size and ethnicity. European Anthropologists also decided that certain human bodies were preferrable or more beautiful than others.

All this, coupled with a dim understanding of the continent of Africa and the above type of nationalism, dominated how European groups interpreted foreign peoples they encountered. The results of this encounter was betrayal between Indigenous People (called Africans), between Africans and Europeans, cunning, war, conquering, and then the imposing of European superiority. One aspect of this superiority was religion, and one main European group to promote their ideas of a superior creative being were the British. That creative being that they promoted was their personal and tribal ancestral being of worship they called God.

UNRAVELING THE NATURE OF GOD
When people think about god, they often think about religion or a holy book that supposedly professes the teachings of god. More specifically, they look towards the bible or quran for their understanding of who and what god is.

I want to challenge you and say that by no means do bible or quran teach, or any sacred book in the planet for that matter, ever taught about god. In fact, it is a great spell and illusion when someone believes that holy books actually teach about god.

When we think of god, we must consider the historical context of language. Language is important when considering the way religion, particularly the Christian Religion, spread throughout the entire planet. Christian holy books (and of other religions) of today, as well as of the past are always being translated, rewritten, and republished in a variety of languages, with new languages added as well. The underlying principle is that religious people do this to help people to better understand what the religion is offering since it would be within the respective people's own tongue.

But what about the tongue of God? Does god originally come from a specific branch of people? The answer is yes. God, however, is not from the bible because when we look at the history of god being in the bible, it goes up to the Fourth Century C.E. and still remaining obscure or non-existent to the rest of the world (even in Europe). Before then, the bible was in the language of Latin, and in other cases, Greek and Aramaic. God does not come from Latin, Greek, or Aramaic. And God does not come from the Romans, the Greeks, or the Semitic speaking people's of the world.

God comes from the tribes of Proton Indo-European Germanic Tribes (Goths, Visigoths, Anglos, Saxons, Germans etc.). God is a creative being that was worshipped by those tribes. A priest from the Goth tribe called Ulfilas made the first translation, and that's when God substituted the Roman creative being: Deus, which is from the Roman bible called the Latin Vulgate.

So, while still not in the Anglo tribe's (Ancient English) variety of Germanic tongue, God is now supreme within a book that went from Ancient Egyptian (mdw ntr), to Phoenician (Canaan), to Hebrew (Haribu), to Greek (Koine), to Latin, and finally to the German.

Direct translations of the bible into Anglo Saxon or Old English was done in the 7th Century by Venerable Bede, Middle English in the 14th Century by John Wycliff, and an explosion of multiple bibles in the 15th Century in early Modern English (with the King James Version being the most powerful).

This latter bible, the King James Version was a companion for the Imperialist/Colonialist/Racist as a means to:

1) To convert people to belief in a being of Early Germanic Tribes, who name was God (Christianity was, and is, only a mask)

2) To make God superior to every other Creative Being's name (Nyame, Oludumare, Allah, Jesus, YHWH, etc.)

3) To shroud the fact that God was originally a proper name from a creative being from a relatively small and insignificant tribes in northern Europe

4) To make God not only supreme in religion but also supreme in race.

And now, We, the Indigenous Peoples of the World, who are most anciently connected to land and nation (called in Post Colonial times: African, Black, Native American, Asian, Australian Aborigine, African Diaspora, Latino, Caribbean, Southeast Asian, and a host of other names) engage in the same mind numbing, mentally enslaving practice!

We teach God like he comes from us and loves us.
All of our groups say they love god, even when they say they work on behalf of Indigenous People and their Development and reject Colonial European bred thinking!

We are ok with God superiority.
We make God the standard for everything we say whenever we mention our spiritual or religious beliefs! This is slave thinking!

We don't really care about God's origin (conscious person or not).We automatically assume God is the origin of who we are and not even question that maybe that is false!

We make God supreme over our own religions.
Some would say that black people who are puppets to whites are House Negroes or Uncle Toms. Well, what do you call an Indigenous person who thinks God is the one you call on when they can invoke better help from their own spiritual backgrounds? And we fight and try to make the Germanic tribal being God, into a black one to compensate for feelings of inferiority, lack of love, and centuries of trauma. Our true Creator (of any of our lands), and Our Doctrine, is laid out in our vast collection of diverse indigenous practices across the planet. A substitute is not needed. What is needed is our reclamation of who and what we are.

My reader should know my position already at this point. But just to make it clear: when I say to renounce god, it does not mean that I am an atheist. Rather it means that I am pointing to the fact that we have been enslaved by relatively small and obscure being, stemming from pre-colonial tribes of Northern Europe, which became famous because of imperialism and colonialism during the early 17th Century until now.

We must stop looking at the tribal being god as some type of standard for the ideas of our spirituality. Indigenous People and their spiritual practices are vastly more ancient.

And lastly, the tribal being called god does not equal Indigenous Creative Beings. You only think he does, as according to imperialism.

THE LEGACY OF ORGANIZED RESISTANCE

Indigenous People Movements
Usually when we think of resistance to oppression, as it relates to the Indigenous Peoples in the United States (or perhaps anywhere within the world), we usually think about either the Civil Rights Movement, Nation of Islam, or perhaps the Black Panthers. Those are the most popular key terms that tend to pop up within our mind when invoking things like rights, self-determination, and equality.

Not only do those terms invoke those stereotypical, if not traditional ideas, but also the imagery that is attached to that day and time. Pictures of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King jr. are obviously the most popular images when thinking of resistance. Sometimes other images may come to the fore, such as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Noble Drew Ali, Huey P. Newton, a founder of the Black Panthers (there are many more).

Learning about the above groups, terms, and images, concerning that era (surely important to Indigenous People across the world), is not what is detrimental to the learner and/or reader. It is how those same terms and images may put people in the mindset that those images and terms are the sum total of all Indigenous Peoples philosophy, culture, legacy, as well as resistance to injustice, race, class, etc., within this country and the rest of the globe.

The ideas that come out of the movements above, political separatism, integrationism, socialist thought, militancy, and the like, are oftentimes viewed as being exclusively from that era. This is far from the truth.

BLACK PEOPLE ARE GOD
Allow me to start off with the political and theological perspective that was popular for the Nation of Islam. They taught that god specifically the one worshipped by the Abraham faiths, is in fact black skinned and is in fact a man. To be more specific, the god of the bible and quran is a black person, a supreme black person. In some other parts of the doctrine, it goes on further to say that all black people (which is to include all Indigenous People) are considered gods or, as they say, Allah, collectively. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said he met his god as well as being taught this doctrine in the 1930s.

(We, the Myal, have issue with calling our most sacred and highest self god. Please refer to the post: Who is this being called God?)

Another popular black god of the 1930s is the Rastafarian High Being called Selassie I/His Imperial Majesty/Jah/Ras Ta Fari Makonnen. Because of the influence of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey and the teachings of Leonard Howell, a man that was a Ras (noble) and later, a Negus or King of Ethiopia, became a Jamaican messiah. He was the only sovereign in Africa, at the time, that the small Jamaican sect of Rastafarians looked towards as a fulfillment of prophecy, a prophecy that stated a king from Africa will be the liberation of black peoples. This king became equated to the stories of Messiah in the bible and was percieved as god.

Other black gods include Father Divine. He was also considered a Messiah and fulfillment of the bible stories and established his organization called the Peace Mission.

The two things that we have to consider is that Indigenous People were/are highly concerned with identity. And we used the tools given to us under our oppression. Those tools are the proto germanic being called god (theos and deus as well) and the colonial racial category called black. We have/had put a lot of investment in both of those umbrella names, created our mythologies behind them, and have said that being god or worshipping god and being black are eternal spiritual ideas.

Truthfully, these investments are rooted in post colonial ideas and the lack of knowledge on older doctrine stemming from a diverse body of Indigenous People who go by a multitude of different ethnic names and nationalities. We even try to take the post colonial names and align our oldest ethnicities and nationalities alongside them. Why? It was/is because of the effects of colonialism. This spawned the use of race terminology, such as Negro/Indian/Australian Aborigine/ (and other terms like it), as an umbrella term of control for violently conquered people, which separated us from our diverse heritage.

I am not saying this to minimize the amount of power, effort, moves, successes, failures, wins, battles, accomplishments, that have/had been put into our use of colonial racial group names. On the contrary, we have done a lot of great things under the umbrella of black/negro and in the name of god. I am simply saying we can help ourselves more if we embrace genealogy first and trace our nationalities to our Indigenous roots.

I believe in and support all the hardwork and effort Indigenous People has put into fighting and struggling against oppression and oppressive regimes, no matter what name they have or post colonial story they promote.

I want to also say at this moment that even the word Indigenous is a loaded term and has it's own legacy. However, to best describe our people in commonality as it relates to us being most anciently connected to land and nation, also being here prior to all other peoples on this planet, as well as the sole founders, I find this term agreeable. The only term that would trump it would be our individual personal names for our family groups, nations, tribes, that we give to ourselves, past, present, and the future.

Those names are too diverse to name every time I speak about our people. So, INDIGENOUS PEOPLE, is a useful term for DESCRIPTION and NOT A RACIAL OR NATIONAL CATEGORY.

Despite the disconnect from our cultural, historical, and ethnic names and nations, the investment of blackness, and it's connection with a Creator-Being or Divinity has some place within our past. This is not something that was started with the UNIA-ACL, Nation of Islam, Peace Mission, or Rastafarians of the 1930s. In fact, images of a black being go back to very ancient times (old Egypt, Nubia, India, Greece, Maya etc.).

But when considering the scope of the United States during the Nineteenth Century, we can see the proto germanic tribal being called god (which was linked to the bible in the 4th Century C.E) being aligned with the racial identity negro/black by Indigenous People that sought to create a strong resistance platform.

(Remember, this is all happening under our belief, mental conditioning, and investment, that we are what conquerors called us racially. This is from our temporary lack of knowledge.)

Minister Nat Turner in his confessions stated that he saw black spirits in one of his prophetic visions. He also said that Jesus took off his yoke and gave him the burden, which implies that Minister Nat Turner would be the representative Jesus at that time.

The idea of the minister representing or being Jesus is not a new one. Many church organizations look at their leadership as the expressed image of Jesus on the planet (Catholic Church and the Pope, for example).

Another person that professed the god of the bible to be negro (black) was Bishop Henry Mcneal Turner. He was very adamant in saying that if peoples that are called white can see their creator in their own image and likeness, what would be wrong with negro (black) people doing the same thing. At the time, the politically correct word for Indigenous People in the United States, was negro, hence the reason why Bishop Turner said god is a negro.

COME FROM OUT OF THEM, MY PEOPLE
The original Nation of Islam and Rastafarians, in philosophy, promoted being politically (and in all other social aspects) separated from whites/caucasians (another colonial race term), and desired a separate Black Nation.

As I have said earlier, these ideas are not exclusive to, or originating from, these above groups. Gabriel (also known as Gabriel Prosser)organized a revolt to take over South Carolina and make it into a separate Black Nation. The African Blood Brotherhood of 1919, whose Leadership was Claude Mckay and Cyril Brigs, believed in a separate Black Nation as a solution for the continual lynching and abuse of Indigenous Peoples in the southern states. This manifested the dream of a separate or sacred spacefor our people in the midst of the effects and residue of slavery and oppression.

This was obviously realized in degrees with Numerous Indigenous Pocket Communities. And some of them were either forced to isolate themselves while others fought to maintain control of land they occupied. Some of them are the Maroons of Jamaica, the Palmares Kingdom of Zumbi in South America, Yanga of the Afro Mexican settlement Yanga, the still existing Caribbean country of Ayiti (may the power and dominion be their's once again), and the small Arawak spread throughout South America's interior and Native Americans in general.

We, the Myal, are the spiritual expression of Indigenous spiritual practices of both Native Caribbean and African Peoples, on the island of Xaymaka (Jamaica).

EXCEPT THAT VIOLENCE IS IN SELF-DEFENSE
The Black Panthers were the group that was popular when it came to self-defense. The Nation of Islam also preached self-defense and was brought to national acclaim through El Hal Malik El Shabazz (Malcolm X). The Black Panthers are the progeny of Malcolm's political philosophy. These two groups are known to be the groups of defending one's self against the violent and malicious attacks of anyone, specifically attacks rooted in race thinking or racism.

The African Blood Brotherhood taught that self-defense was the way before the manifestation of the Nation of Islam. And before the Black Panther Party ever existed, there was the Deacons for Defense and Justice, whose founder was Charles Sims. Even earlier, Moses Dickson, an abolitionist, created two organizations, one called the Knights of Liberty and a secret initiate group called the Order of the Twelve. Dickson was inspired to do this upon seeing the terrible nature of slavery in the southern states.

So we can see that the fight and the resistance of the Indigenous Peoplein the United States (and across the world) has always been an ongoing one, with the same themes and ideas being refurbished and perhaps applied differently. We must keep this in mind since in this present time, there are groups that may be mimicking the themes of the past but are not using an organizational styles that would compliment and compensate for the very different and constantly changing times we live in today.

So we try to define who we are through:

1) being black (negro/indian/aborigine/pariah, and much more)
2) god worshippers ( the same can be said for theos and deus)
3) being or becoming god,

These are the parts we need to analyze about ourselves. We need to understand that under the root of terms such as god and negro and things similar, we are not seeing our full potential. We must think outside of the box of those categories because we did not choose them. They were forcibly put upon us. We need to understand that colonial racial and germanic religious identities are umbrellas we have used to unite, in degrees, to manifest survival: food, shelter, clothing, cultural legacy, healthy and wealthy living.

What does this mean? We are NOT searching for a racial identity or worshipping a colonial religious being.

1) WE WANT OUR INDIGENOUS NAMES AND NATIONHOOD.
2) WE WANT OUR ORIGINAL BEINGS OF REVERENCE AND WORSHIP
3) WE WANT FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING, CULTURAL LEGACY, HEALTHY AND WEALTHY LIVING

Most Importantly, we are searching for better ways to unify to attain these things. The best way is through putting genealogy first and practicing the evolving art of being UNIFIED!

Since HMMG was always about being enterprising and industrious, creating a variety of businesses while trying to make the downtrodden wealth-minded, we must understand the principles of wealth coming from the lands to which he respected and invoked during his talks.

The lands mentioned above had many principles of worship that represented nature and the ancestors. In fact the word nature comes from the latin word natura, which is similar to the ancient nubian egyptian word ntrw or neteru. So what was worshipped was spiritual expressions of what the ancients considered nature to be, and aligning these revered ideas to deceased loved ones.

IMHOTEP - NETERU OF SCIENCE

For example, Imhotep, an ancestor that was a scientist doing biology, medicine, mathematics, and architecture, became a part of the neteru after He left the body. He became the Neteru of healing, mathematics, and building. When a nubian egyptian engaged in those types of disciplines, it was Imhotep that was studied or called upon. So when we think about those ideas of invoking a principle of nature or neteru, we look to an ancestor for guidance so that we may do well in what we do.

DEDWEN - THE NETERU OF WEALTH AND PROSPERITY

When considering the ideas of wealth, it would be in our interest to invoke those neteru that can relate to that type of empowerment. From inside of Nubia, past the traditional boundaries of what is called Upper Egypt or the Sedge, there is the principle or Neteru of Wealth called 'Dedwen'.

AMANI - MOST POWERFUL NUBIAN EGYPTIAN PRINCIPLE

Dedwen was a part of the Neteru that presided over the wealth of the country of Nubia. Not only was that Neteru the ensign of wealth, but Amani, who was known to those of the north as Amen, Amun, or Ammon, was the all encompassing power of all things, and this included health, wealth, and culture.

So when considering HMMG, and his love of the Nile Valley, we want to have a spiritual focus on wealth and wealth creation. Surely Dedwen and Amani are those Beings approved by HMMG.
