DJ Emir Ironman Mixtape Remains A Favorite After Years of Play

2020-02-23T12:21:00.001-08:00

I love myself a great DJ mixtape and one of my personal all-time favorites is still DJ Emir's Ironman Mixtape. As with albums, some albums just really stand out as timeless classics that you just love throughout your whole life. The same can be said about certain mixtapes and DJ mixes. When they are put together well they tend to stand the test of time. For me personally, this is one of those mixtapes. It won a few Mixtape awards as did a few of his other mixtapes. They are all definitely worth a good listen. With 62 Tracks and a ton of quick mixes and exclusive remixes, this huge 80 Minute mixtape makes you feel like you get more than just 80 minutes of music out of this huge volume. It starts hard and just jams all the way through from start to finish.

If you end up loving this mixtape you should also check out a few of our other favorite DJ Emir Mixtapes like his Michael Jackson Mixtape , His Batman Mixtape and his 2013 Mixtape both available at www.djemir.com

All 4 of these mixtapes remain favorites of ours and still play in our cars and in our workspace. The Ironman Mixtape, however, seems to hold a special spot in our hearts.

Nate Dogg Death Anniversary of a Singing Legend

2012-03-16T09:24:00.000-07:00

Nate Dogg Missed after his passing last year on this very Day March 16th 2011 R.I.P. Nate Dogg. There was an entire decade of great hits that featured Nate Dogg on the hook or chorus of nearly every great west coast and even some east coast mega hits. With collaborations across the board from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre to Ludacris and 50 Cent. Some of the most memorable songs being:

21 Questions with 50 Cent,
Xplosive and Next Episode w Dr. Dre and Snoop,
213's FLY,
Mos Def "Oh No"
Warren G's Regulate,
Snoop Dogg's Lay Low,
Tupac's All Eyez on Me
Ludacris' Area Codes.
Ooh Wee - Ghost Face and Nate Dogg
Ain't No Fun - Snoop Dogg, ft Nate Dogg, Warren G and Kurupt
Ring The Alarm (Your Woman Has Just Been Sighted)
Bosses Life
Gangsta Nation - West Side Connection ft Nate Dogg
Shake That Ass w Eminem
Bitch Please Part 1 & 2
Mack 10's - Like This (which was a super dope song and a personal favorite by the way)

One thing is for sure last year we lost a legend and one of Hip Hop's best hook men. Nate also had some great hits of his own and was responsible for a great majority of the best Hip Hop hits of the last decade. He will be missed. R.I.P. Nate Dogg One of the greatest Chorus singers ever.

"Your Iron Man Mixtape is now officially the hardest mixtape in LA!"

Well we want to take that one step further and say it's probably the hardest mixtape on the planet! DJ Emir's Iron Man Mixtape is just plain insane with it. This mixtape gets down and dirty with the turntablism, DJ skills and the hardcore remixes that are plastered all over this mixtape project. The first 40 minutes alone are worth the entire ticket price and the last 40 minutes are just icing on the cake. And best believe this CD takes the cake when it comes to rocking parties. We play this on heavy rotation at home and in the car. This is the mixtape we recommend above all others when someone asks us what they should get.

Transformers Mixtape Dominated the Mixtape Circuit

2009-03-21T00:33:00.000-07:00

DJ Emir's Late 2007 release dominated the party style genre of mixtapes for the entire year of 2008. Culminating in its crowning of VIP Nightclub Magazine's 2008 Mixtape of The Year.

2008 Mixtape of The Year Article featuring the Transformers Mixtape

"With the insane mixing, scratches and remixes DJ Emir threw on this mixtape, the Transformers Mixtape has dominated the nightclub mixtape circuit. It decimated the inferior mixtapes that have flooded the market and over-saturated the mixtape markets with hosts of inferior products. In a world that has become much too complacent with mediocrity, DJ Emir has elevated our expectations and brought back hope to a dying breed of mixtapes. His Transformers Mixtape truely is a masterpiece of epic proportions. We have listened to it on a constant basis at home in the office and in our rides and yet it remains our all time favorite mixtape of the year. Thus we have crowned DJ Emir's Transformers Mixtape with its most deserved title of Mixtape of The Year" - VIP Nightclub Magazine

DJ Emir continues to put out even more heat with The Iron Man Mixtape which already is blazing it's own trail similar to that of the Transformers Mixtape At the suggestion of One of his Mixtape Fans Emir started the mixtape with an ultra hard mixtape intro basically calling out all Deejays that don't have skills on the turntables. From that point out the mixtape just stays hard hitting fullfilling another of DJ Emir's Mixtape Fan Requests to make sure the "next mixtape has as many tracks as the Transformers Mixtape did. DJ Emir delivered with another wooping 62 tracks of insane mixes and remixes. Definitely has to be at the top of mixtape records for most tracks mixed into a mixtape. But more than that is the style of mixing that puts this mixtape over the top when it comes to party mixes. DJ Emir's talent and hard work show through with a Superior Quality Mixtape that leaves most Deejays in its quake.

New Mixtapes for all The Hip Hop Music Heads

2007-03-20T14:12:00.000-07:00

Hot Mixtapes for the Hip Hop Heads

In the pursuit of hot hip hop mixtapes we have found one website that consitently gives us very good hip hop mixtapes. http://www.djemir.com/ has become one of our favorite sources for great mixtapes.

From his Star Wars Mixtape onward every mixtape Emir has put out has been extremely creative and entertaining. The Star Wars mixtape had some great samples from Star Wars Episode 3 includig lines from Master Yoda and Emperor Palpetine perfectly mixed into the mixtape to create a great overall themed mixtape.

His Last Dragon Mixtape had some great hip hop and reggae remixes and immediately brought back memories of Master Bruce Leeroy taking out Master Sho Nuff in an epic kung fu battle. With classic lines like "Who's the Master?" and "You have just opened a fortune cookie, with no fortune, written by a master who does not exist, to answer a question for which you already know the answer to. Think Leroy, the answer is in your head."

The Drunken Master Mixtape brought back to light one of Jacki Chan's most classic Kung Fu movies with some serious cult classic lines that lighten up this serious project with some seriously laughable lines.

DJ Emir's Transformer's Mixtape was a quantum leap forward in the evolution of mixtapes. A fast paced mixtape with a full Transformers theme. The mixtape has won many awards including several Mixtape of The Year Awards and marks a distinct change in Emir's style and aggresiveness.

Coming in as hard and heavy as Iron man himself, DJ Emir's Iron Man Mixtape takes it up yet another knotch with some extremely aggresive and creative mixes that make this mixtape an instant classic. It starts with the classic line from Iron Man "Is it better to be feared or respected? I say, why can't you have both?" The mixtape then goes straight in for 80 minutes straight of some of the hardest mixes ever recorded. The mixes were so hard that Nightclub promoter J of J's VIP Los Angeles said "DJ Emir's Iron man Mixtape is officially the hardest mixtape in Los Angeles" This is also one of our own personal favorite mixtapes.

Then of course came another instant classic mixtape that immediately became a personal favorite for thousands. DJ Emir's Michael Jackson Mixtape is an extremely creative mixtape that incorporates all of Michael Jackson's best music with music from other artists and special remixes that make this mixtape extremely unique.

Check out all these really great mixtapes at http://www.djemir.com/ and at all Independent Record Music stores.

Battle For Control of Source Hip Hop Magazine

2006-03-24T07:59:00.000-08:00

The long battle over Hip-Hop Music Magazine The Source may finally be over.
The state Supreme Court ruled in favor of the magazine’s investor, Black Enterprise/Greenwich Street Corporate Growth Partners, which last month took control of the magazine from its founder David Mays and its president, Ray “Benzino” Scott.

The Source has had problems with both circulation and advertising in recent years. (Including subscriptions supposedly signed up for through their internet site which never become subscriptions as we found out when we tried to sign up)

David Mays began losing his grip on the magazine after defaulting on an $18 million loan from Textron Financial Corp. last year. The court denied Mays’ demand that he be reinstated at the magazine, citing the Greenwich Street fund’s right to take control of The Source if he defaulted on his debt. That ruling opens the door for the Greenwich Street group to buy Mr. Mays’ shares in The Source, which now belongs to Textron. “He has the right to go to trial, but it would be a moot point by the time he did, because his shares will be gone,” said Jeremy Miller, the new chief executive of The Source. The magazine remains viable, according to Jeremy Miller. Its problems stemmed from mismanagement and from Mays’ and Benzino’s feuds with artists and record labels [especially the Eminem, Interscope/Shaddyville beef] that led to a widespread loss of advertising. “We’re on a mission to win back both readers and advertisers,” Mr. Miller said. “We’re going to cover the hip-hop scene from a neutral but still hard-hitting point of view.”

Hip Hop Mixtape Volume 1

2005-01-12T11:49:00.000-08:00

I can't begin to say enough about DJ Emir's
Hip Hop Mixtape I absolutely loved it from beginning to end.
Nothing but Banging Hip Hop Music from the CDs initial insertion
'Til all my friends were exhausted from dancing at my Frat party.
I had Ordered a set of Mixtapes from www.djemir.com
and they really came through at the party with everyone trying to weasle
a copy out of me. I did like the extra attention I got from the girls on that matter
by the way :)=)
The Mixtape CD starts with a unique intro and immediatly explodes onto
your speakers with quick little beat juggles and scratches.
It then adds some dynamic mixing throughout the rest of the CD
and makes sure that every song is a complete Club Banger.
No Boring tracks on this Mixtape.

Most Hip-Hop and Reggae Lovers will enjoy every song on this Mixtape CD
I highly recomend This Mixtape as well as the other Hip Hop Mixtapes
that can be found at www.djemir.com

Banging Hip Hop Mixtape CDs

2004-12-25T09:15:00.000-08:00

Hip Hop Mixtapes With Mad Flavor
I was cruising the internet when I came across a website that had some
nice MP3 sample clips from several Hip Hop Mixtape CDs that were offered at the site.
As I listened to these clips I realized that I more than likely would love
the rest of the Mixtapes that the clips came from.
I decided to order the Hip-Hop Mixtape Triple pack of Mix-CDs
that was offered at djemir.com

My instinct on the mixtapes was right on point.
I listened to the first one [DJ Emir- Techniques Volume 1]
and I absolutely loved it from beginning to end.
Nothing but Banging Hip Hop Music from the CDs initial insertion
til the minute I pulled it out. The Reggae Music on the CD
was super tight as well. Including a super hard
Dancehall-Reggae remix of Ashanti's Foolish and several other
Dancehall reggae tracks. The CD also included a great
Old-School Quickmix which had everyone at my house party
wanting to steal my Mixtape CD!
I told them where to get their own copies... LOL

I thought this was it... This was now my new favorite mixtape... but then
I popped in DJ Emir's Hip Hop Mixtape Volume 2 and found that one
to be even stronger. As good as I thought the first CD was...
I was surprised to find that Volume two outdid the first CD and now
I knew that each CD would most likely impress me more and more.
I think I now know where to order all my Future Hip-Hop Mixtape CDs from!
I will provide more indepth reviews of these seperate Mixtapes in future reviews.
I also will be checking out some of his recomended websites for other mixtapes
and review them as well. It appears DJ Emir Knows whats up in the Hip Hop Industry...
I'd say DJEmir.com is the Definitive Authority of Hip Hop Mixtape Websites
