So we moved, and many of you are not local to the bay area... so here is where we are now. In case you are in the area...

OK, the story is really that Eden was playing with the yellow car, which drives on batteries. Eden set the car on a path to Ari, and this 4x4 managed to climb up his head, 90 degrees and lets just say that scissors were needed to separate the two.

Well, there are only two things that prevent Eden from making this audition 100% smooth:
1. Her burps (at least that is what she says)
2. Having to Shush mom from interrupting her

Our Trip to Israel, 2009

Aside from the long and unbearable flights (despite the fact that our children were angels), we had an amazing trip. Words can't describe how much we enjoyed being with family, visiting the zoo, eating, drinking, and sleeping like royalty. Eden bonded with her cousins and enjoyed being in the water, both at the pool or sea. Ari was happy just hanging out. Dad enjoyed sleeping in and catching up with friends and family, and I enjoyed my walks with Ana along the sea. Hopefully this picture show will give you a brief glimpse into our journey.

Big sister

[Mom] As you can see, Eden loves her little brother and Ari continues to be a good sport. Please note, the song accompanying the slide show was used for it's upbeat rhythm, and not for the actual words of the song.

Got Passport?

Ari plans his first trip, and he will require a passport.
Lets just say that Walgreens is not the place to get a passport picture taken for a 1 month old...
so how do you do it?
1. Take a blank sheet and put it on a flat surface
2. have enough sun light in the room
3. take many many pictures!

The tricky part is that you need the baby to be awake (open eyes) but not in his "usual" awake state, crying.

The final trick is to use this site ePassportPhoto to fix the composition of the picture to comply with US laws (easy as magic, you will see).

you then get a 4x6 image you can print at Costco for 13 cents! the cheapest passport pictures you can take!

Family retreat

It rained most of the time, so besides some trains for Eden, we hung out and had some family time...

But then, a new level of sophistication emerges, not only you can say no, you can come with your own counter offer! how great, instead of going head to head, you can be perceived as being pragmatic and willing to negotiate... well, sort of...

Eden celebrated her 2nd and most memorable hannukah yet. She got to eat latkes, dance to hannukah music, and make a picture frame so that she could wish everyone holiday wishes. Happy holidays and new year!!! Love Eden, Lori, and Hernan

8 years in San Francisco for dad, and all her life for Eden makes you forget about seasons (or not learn about them...).

What a joy to have these trees outside your windows then! And as Fall comes and goes and winter is upon us, we get to enjoy the leaves change colors, then fall, then become green again!

Halloween 2008

Eden (Winnie the Pooh) celebrated her first (that she was aware of) Halloween with her friend, Neve (Thomas the Train). They started by playing with balloons and ended the night scoring big on candy. If it hadn't been for the brave doorbell ringing of Neve, Eden would have remained scared and attached to her daddy. Instead, she ended up grabbing handfuls of candy (averaged 2-3 pieces). And this is only at age 2...
