I just tried to view a Google group today and I couldn't because I didn't want to sign in. This has got to be the stupidest gimmick to waste more drive space on Googles part. What do they need that information for? Not alone to waste more of the user's time, I guess the user's time is free. I personally think it is one of the stupidest moves on google's part. I am not going to get into the big brother conspiracy scenario, but information is power.
