Starting a side hustle this year should be everyone's aim. There are very few options of money earning online these days.

But with the advent of technology, and the number of people online, selling of data is now a lucrative business. When you can sell to more persons, then the more money you make.

In this article, I will be teaching you how to start a data reselling business, selling SME data from service providers, such as MTN, Airtel, glo and 9mobile, to subscribers and how to make advertisement banners.

WHAT IS DATA RESELLING?

Data reselling is the act of selling data from Nigeria's network providers cheaper to other subscribers. You act as a middle man. You buy in bulk and sell cheaper. Most people would be surprised if I tell them how much I buy data.

There are many sites that one can register on and start reselling data but first, what do one need to start off a data reselling side hustle.

📌Working email

This would be used both for registering on the data reselling site and also for business. It is recommended that you use your business email to register so that everything would be synchronized.

📌Business phone number

This would be one of the contact points that your customers would use in reaching you to buy the data. It can also be your whatsapp number.

📌Social media account:

Any of the social media account can become your business account, Incase you don't fancy the idea of opening an social media account specifically for the side hustle

📌A working device

Last, but not the least, an mobile device is needed. An iPhone or an Android phone would serve. It is just for you to access the internet and sell your data. If you don't have any, your laptop that is connected to the internet can serve.

REGISTRATION AND STARTING OFF

There are so many sites that one can register and start off with data reselling but I will be introducing you to Avalinks.

Why Avalinks?

It is so easy to use and the interface of the site is a wow. It can be easily navigated by anyone, even a newbie.

Manual

In this method, your wallet can be credited when you go to the bank and make a deposit to the account shown. The pictures above shows you how to go through it.

Pay with airtime

In this final method, airtime transfers or recharge cards can be used in funding your wallet. Simply follow the prompts there and your wallet would be funded.

NB: there is a percentage the company takes for deposits except with MANUAL deposits.

SELLING OF DATA

After registering and funding your wallet, you are good to go in selling data and making money.

Now do you sell data with the site?

1. Click on the three dashes on the top right hand corner of the page.

2. There you will see BUY DATA. Click there.

3. Then, follow the prompts. You click on the first one to chose the network, the second to choose the amount of data and the last to input the network. The price of the data is already there so you can't edit it.

You can then add your profit to the amount before selling. For example, MTN 1GB SME data is sold to you for N300 (as of January 21st 2021). You can resell at N400 or N450.

Alternatively, you can go back to the dashboard and scroll down. You will see DATA. Then follow the steps above.

Banking have evolved over the years. Nigeria have not been left out. Recently, some banks were giving licenses to bank in Nigeria and they have gone ahead to become trailblazers in the fintech sector.

In this article, I will be showing you my top two banking or better still, fintech apps for banking that are both economical and stress free.

But first, why are the apps my top two?

Having a bank that have no bank charges is huge this year, as most tradition banks tend to charge for any sms they send, including birthday sms (YES! They do!).

FacebookPay: All you need to know about the new fintech offering from Facebook

Social media giant, Facebook Inc., owners of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, yesterday introduced Facebook Pay, a payment solution exclusive to the three social media apps. According to the company, who made this known in a blog post, Facebook Pay is aimed at “providing people with a convenient, secure and consistent payment system.”

It would begin rolling out this week in the United States if America for fundraisers, in-game purchases, event tickets and person-to-person payments on select Facebook pages. Overtime, it would be introduced to more persons and countries.

This payment system will definitely rival those of traditional banking institutions and new fintech startups. But what differentiates it from those of traditional banking institutes and these new fintech startups?

They are free

Sending and receiving money on Facebook Pay. All you have to do it simply fund it using your debit card or Facebook gift card.

Not for anyone below 18

Well, this is a huge difference. Most banks in Nigeria have special bank accounts for kids and underage persons but Facebook Pay is just exclusively for anyone above the age of eighteen for one to use the service.
