Final day of fun at Sea World. We have done so many things so far, my feet are swollen because we have walked so much.
Jared did all the scary rides, I have videos but this app doesn't give me the option to upload them. Jared looked like a little kid, I have never seen Jared having so much fun. Mario was upset because he couldn't got to those ride. He is a few inches too short, but maybe next he can go. He loves the little kids roller coaster, he went twice on the Atlantis. I went with him because he said it was fun, but it wasn't. I was so scared.
We had lunch with Shamu and it's trainers. The food to me, was gross, but we got to see Shamu really up close and it was a great experience after all.
Mario and milo went to play in the freezing water. We really didn't mind, because it seems to us that both of them were having 'the best day ever' quoting Mario.
We went to all the attractions, play a few carnival games and we did all this being sick. I think I have been sick so much lately because I Had kept us in a bubble and we haven't build any defenses against those nasty viruses and having an autoimmune disease doesn't help me at all :(

Sea world. End of day one

We saw Shamu and it was awesome!!!
We are going to see it again tomorrow. We love the show, and we also fed the dolphins. A tiny trait full of fish $6. Milo was a natural, Mario was less trusting of the dolphins. I was super excited, the dolphin's skin felt like plastic.
We also ate like little piggies, we bought an all you can eat pass for all day long, we ate in 5 restaurants. Worth every penny. The no so good part was the weather, it was freezing. I am sure Jared was freezing because he was wearing shorts and a t
shirt. I, on the contrary was wearing 4 layers of clothes. It was serious weather, no one was using the rides with water. Hopefully tomorrow it gets warmer. By the way, I have a cold and a low fever since 7 am, but it was the best day ever.

We are still here. I am soooo tired but we are having so much fun. Gosh, this place is huge, I guess is around 250 acres. The shows are great, but I can't help to feel bad for the animals because to me they seem sad, like of they are slaves :(
We saw all the sesame streets characters and a 4D movie too. It was so cool, I am sure we all had the best time ever. We are still waiting to see Shamu and feed the dolphins. So I will post again tonight. Ps, I love using the blogger app in my iPhone :)

First night in Texas

We are in San Antonio Texas. We just drove down here to go to sea world. Mario was watching a show about whales and Jared right there said, "we are going to see some whales" and two days later here we are. Tomorrow I will upload more picture as our day goes on. Mario and Milo are excited about our hotel room. Mario calls the room, his little apartment. Too cute.

We took Milo to the Aquarium and he was just so happy and interested on seeing all the cute little fish. He couldn't believe it. He probably thought that was the biggest TV he had ever seen.

I am homeschooling Mario. Mario knows how to write his name, his last name, he can do small addition, he can write numbers, and he is speaking more spanish. Still working on the reading.

There is something about water that Mario and Milo can't resist. They can be in the bathtub the whole day.

With their matching Pjs that his grandma got them as Christmas's present. So cute. I love those little boys so much.

I think the hardest time is the first year with a new baby and getting use to a new routine.

In January, Jared took me to a Ramen shop here in Santa Fe and it was great. He loves to eat Ramen. Thanks to that we have been talking more about the Japanese culture. Mario just learned that he is an eight Japanese and he is really into it. We are learning to eat with chopsticks, we got some training chopsticks for me and Mario. Too bad neither Jared or I speak a word of Japanese.

If you come to our home, you would see Mario and Milo fighting with those foam swords. Milo is really aggressive like me, Mario is more like Jared.

We took Mario to the dentist for his 6 months check up and cleanning. He was great and you can see in the picture above Mario's permanent teeth.

This year I got a bunch of vegetables seeds and flowers seeds and I am growing them out. So far, they are doing great. I really love gardening. I can't wait for spring time, my backyard is the cutest.

Mario and Milo are taking naps everyday (finally) and everyday after lunch they take their naps in my bed. I wonder what Milo is thinking in this picture.

We made pop out cards and I think they were really cute. This card was specially made for Mario's best friend Serissa Velazques. He adores that little girl. She is always hugging Mario and helping him.
Yes, that was my intent of making a cartoon of Mario. I know that he doesn't have straight hair, but it looks a lot like him.

I also won a Velashape treatment for my legs from the Dr Oz. The treatment was strange, it felt hot, but at the same time the brush had a weird suction. When the esthetician was done, I didn't really see any different, but my legs are softer and almost cellulite free. I am going back for another treatment, probably for mother's day.

The boys got a free machine to make pop corn. Everyday before dinner, we have some yummy popcorn. The boys love to stared at it.

We are sick.

Milo starting throwing up, and yesterday I threw up so much and now all of us are sick. We have diarrhea, we are throwing up, we are starving but we can't put any food in our stomach because all comes out, we have no energy. I have never had a stomach flu, it is terrible. The worst part is that today I have class and I am starving but If I eat something, I will get sick in the classroom and that is one of the things I don't want to ever happen to me. Just in case, I will sit next to a sink.

Happy First Birthday Milo

Milo is already a year old! He is so adorable, smart and just a perfect child. Milo has 7 teeth, walks everywhere and loves to read baby books and write on paper.

Milo doesn't drink milk but he doesn't have any problem eating yogurt, he loves pop corn, Thomas the Train, Cars, and everything Mario likes. Mario calls Milo baby Bear and Mario is enjoying teaching Milo everything he knows. I have the feeling that they are going to be the best of friends.

Milo, we love you and we are so happy you are part of our little family. Thank you making our life more meaningful. You are our cute little monster.

Our Christmas 2011

We had a nice time at Celestine and Mike's house on Christmas eve and went caroling.
For Christmas day, we had no food at home and Walmart was closed, so we went to eat yummy chinese food. It was great, we had the restaurant just for us. That is going to be our family Christmas tradition.

Part of our talent was to sing Jesus en Pesebre. Jared played the guitar, he was great. I love when we do thing like this for Christmas and Thanksgiving because it makes the holidays more special. Since Jared and I got marry we look forward to participate in the family talent show. We have fun making great memories.

I am finally back. I am so sorry for not posting sooner, life has been so busy these last two months. School (finally done with the semester), we have been very sick and I am just plain tired all the time. Taking care of two boys is a LOT OF WORK. I am not going to sugar coated, it is hard and I usually have meltdowns everyday but I can't image my life without Mario and Milo.

These are the Halloween pictures. Mario was super Mario, he was so excited. Jared was a ninja and Milo was the cutest little penguin ever. I didn't dress up, I was too stress out getting everybody ready.

Lets talk more about Milo.

Milo is eleven months old. He likes to crawl everywhere, he calls me mama and he calls Jared dada. Milo is really strong and loves to imitated Mario. His favorite toys are cars and Thomas the train, just like Mario. He is also pretty agressive sometimes with Mario. He still drools a lot and has two cute teeth. He is a great eater, he will eat almost everything but eggs. He hates them.

I was thinking about getting a new SLR but I really think I don't need a new one. What I need is to learn more techniques to take better artistic portraits. I guess now at day everybody is a photographer...

Surprise, surprise! We have snow in the mountain in october. We were getting ready to take some cute fall pictures with the yellows and red leaves and bam! everything is covered in snow. I guess that is fine, our clothes pop with all the snow in the background.

Ballon Fiesta.

For the first time in almost eight years, Jared and I plus the kids went to the Ballon fiesta.It was so awesome, I was so excited. We had a great time and the boys were just having a blast. We got some donuts, a turkey leg, we danced and laid on the floor watching the clouds. I love my Jared, he is always making me happy and the kids too. I really know that my family is the greatest.

After the ballon glow, we got to see some pretty nice fireworks on our way home. Here in NM we didn't get to see any fireworks for the 4th of July because of the really dry conditions and the fire danger. It was a great night. I love to hang out with my little family, they are the best.

Milo is eight months old and he thinks he is still attached to me. I love how he prefers me over anyone else, (sorry Jared) I guess there not better feeling in the world. Mario is like that too. Milo is really shy, and he likes to study people's faces. He likes to eat crackers, yogurt, pasta, tomatoes, and he is not afraid of letting me know when he doesn't like something by screaming his head off. He adores Mario, and he likes computers like everyone in our family.

Who is ready to go to the Renaissance Fair? We are!

We have been living in Santa Fe for almost two years and we finally decided to go to the Renaissance fair. It was great, I really enjoyed, it also helped that I took a New Mexico's history class and I learned how the Spanish got here and how they lived in the 18 and 19 century.

I love these yellow's flower. These wild flowers are EVERYWHERE here in Santa Fe. When I drive around it looks like a sea full of those flowers everywhere. I love it. I really love Santa Fe.

Last week we went to the Hanson concert. We really didn't know ANY of their songs but we went anyway because it was free. We got to meet them and it was like meh.

I made a Dominican cake for Mario. He was so excited, and couldn't wait to eat a piece of cake. I really think that I won't do it again. Too much work and it looks really "homemade" which is not a bad thing...sometimes.

I also made some ties for my boys. Mario always asked me for more and more ties. He has a pretty nice collection of bow ties and now some cute ties.

Milo is eight months old and crawls all around the house and he can stand up holding into furniture. He will walk before he is a year old. A few days ago, I left Milo In my room and I went to fix Mario's bed and when I came back I couldn't find Milo. I got really scared and I heard him baby talking. Milo was in the back of my closet playing with my stuff in my closet. He is so mobile. He is perfect like Mario.

These two beautiful boys are bringing so much joy to our lives. They are funny, cute, smart, and talented. I really don't know what else to say but they are just perfect.

This year was the first time for us having a vegetable garden and an herb garden too.

We have eggplants, carrots, strawberries, tomatoes and chiles. It feels nice to be able to produce our own food. Somehow it makes me feel closer to the earth.

Our backyard is looking great and our trees are fuller than last year.

Mario and Milo got bunk beds from Celestine and Michael. They love them.

The Dunlaps came to visit us last month too. We had a good time.

Milo wants to be just like Mario. He copies everything that Mario does.

This is my favorite picture of my guys. They really inspire me to be a better mother, wife, and friend.

Mario and Milo love to smell lavender. Once a week Mario, Milo, and I pick some of the lavender and just lay in the grass looking at the clouds and enjoying the simple joys of life.

Jacob and Shauna took some pictures of us at the temple for Sam's wedding. Today, Jacob sent me these beautiful pictures of us but I didn't get any other pictures with Sam and Kiley, or the reception..sorry.
I didn't bring my camera for the wedding so I don't have any other pictures. Hopefully The Dunlaps or The others Hobbs will post more pictures.

Durango, Colorado.

We bought in April some tickets to go and see Thomas the train in Durango, Colorado. We planned this surprise for Mario. We love to make him happy with things like that, and it was a nice mini vacation for us. We got to Durango by Thursdays' afternoon. We walked around Downtown and we love the people over there. I am in love with that little town, my "hipster" family seems to fit perfectly in there. haha

We ate some fried alligator just because we wanted to try new things. We also had fried sweet potatoes with ribs. No pictures, we ate too fast.

Day 2.

This is the Train's museum in Durango. We had a great time, all the activities for Thomas the train were in the backyard of the Museum. We had the time of our life and Mario did too. I recommend it, it was organized and everyone was so polite. My favorite part was the ride on the train (Jared got us the best seats), the free presents Mario got just because we bought the tickets, the activities, the petting zoo, there was a designated area to breast feed and change diapers. I also like that there was a stroller parking and so many other things.

Summer

These are the cutest, handsomest boys ever!

Mario and Milo get along so well, I am sure they are becoming best friends. Jared and I are crazy about them.

Milo is already 5 months old, and he is trying to sit up. Sometimes he is successful, others times it is just funny to see him fall over on his side. Milo is a really happy boy, loves to drool, he reaches for anything and puts it in his mouth. I can't really complain about him anymore because he is a really easy baby. I think it's because he sees how I stop everything just to spend time with him. My house is not as perfect anymore, my hair is all over the place... but it doesn't matter anymore, they deserve my attention all the time and that is the secret to having happy sweet children. Mario and Milo know that I will do anything for them and I think that is why they like me. Every night I promise Mario and Milo that I will be a better mommy for them. Time is flying by, they are growing up too quick and I want them to just have wonderful memories of their childhood with us; I am letting my actions speak louder than my words.

I think my methods are working because Mario just told me that Jared and I are his best friends.

Summer

Last week Mario asked me for a party and the next day he was enjoying a pool party with some of his friends.

The next day... We have around 4 layers of sunblock on. My children have really sensitive skin like mine. We had so much fun, at the end we were glad to have AC at home because it was super hot outside.

Last week Mario came home with his first assignment to talk in primary. Mario was assigned to talk about the restored priesthood for one to two minutes. Mario and I worked hard all week trying to memorized his talk. Jared and I were there for moral support. We were so PROUD of him. He memorized his part and added other parts like "Thanks to the priesthood we can have eternal families and drink choco."

The priesthood is the power of God, and it is a present from Heavenly Father.

The priesthood was lost for a long time. In 1829 The priesthood was restored with the help of Joseph Smith. Thanks to the priesthood we have eternal families.

Well... we didn't get the house. Another buyer offered more than the asking price plus he/she payed in cash. I was kind of sad that we didn't get that beautiful house. Jared and I had been looking around for a more spacious home and we learned that we LOVE luxury houses. We are going to save some money so we can buy a house like the one in the video, probably will take us a few years but I am fine with that, we don't live in the ghetto so It is not that bad.

For Mother's day weekend, Jared and I decided that it was time to buy and plant our vegetables.

We planted tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, strawberries and a herb garden.

We also got some flowers and next week we are going to plant flower bulbs and get some mulch.

After church Jared took some cute pictures of the boys and me.

I had the best mother's day ever. Jared and Mario brought me breakfast in bed, they were so sweet. After church Jared made dinner and cleaned the house after so I could sleep. I had a great mother's day. I am so grateful for my boys. They are just perfect in every way and what brings me the most happiness is to see how much the three of them love me. Jared, Mario and Milo, you guys are my world. I love you.

Easter Part 2.

He has grown so much, and he is so smart and handsome. We are trying to teach Mario about Jesus and why Easter is so important. We told Mario that Jesus died for us and that he resurrected and now he lives. Well, Mario asked me where Jesus lives? I said to him, "Jesus lives with Heavenly Father in Heaven." Mario replied: "Can we go and see him?" And I told him that we don't know exactly where heaven is, but that Jesus promise that he would come back and I told him that we need to be ready for when he comes, so we can be around him.

We have never see him so excited. I guess, he really wasn't expecting very much and when he saw his present, he was ecstatic.

Easter Part 1 (Angry Birds).

Mario and I were super excited about coloring the Easter eggs. This is our first time coloring the easter eggs. I got the idea to make Angry Birds Easter eggs from my friend Carolina Willies's blog. Mario loves Angry Birds. He asked me to make him an Angry Bird cake, which it is not a bad idea.

When my parents were here.

My parents came to meet Milo and they love him. I am so grateful for their visit and their help. Having two little children is a lot of work. I loves to spend all my time with my children, but doing this is a really draining task. I was so tired the other day that I feel sleep while driving, but don't worry, nothing bad happened.

Jared has been helping me so much, but we both were really tired, so having my parents here for two weeks was a nice break for us.

When Mami and Papi were here, I got to sleep so much. My mom took care of Milo and my dad played with Mario and took him on daily walks around the neighborhood.

Adorable!

I just can't believe that Milo is three months old. He is such a wonderful baby boy. He is sleeping so much better at night, just waking up twice at 12am and 4 am. I think his weight is around twelve or thirteen pounds. He loves to smile at me and he is totally a mama's boy. I love it!

Milo makes a lot of of cooing sounds, and he has a huge personality, and let's not forget to mention how handsome he is. I love to see him discovering new things day by day.

Milo adores his brother Mario and both of them have the most beautiful eyes and eyelashes.

The other day I left Mario and Milo downstairs for a second to go to the laundry room and when I came back, Mario was feeding Oreos to Milo. Milo was not complaining at all.

What else can I say about Milo? Hmmm... Milo loves to suck on his wrist, he likes apple juice, he has a cute little butt and loves to watch Pbs kids sprout with his brother Mario.

I'm so glad that I get to stay at home with my boys. The other day I was in bed snuggling with them. They were both giving me kisses (Milo was slobbering all over my face) but I would never change those sweet moments with them. I'm really trying to not stress out to much about the house, or going out. I am just taking all the time I can to spend with Mario and Milo because to me nothing else really matters. I love them so much, I really can't imagine my life without them.
Jared thank you for my boys and for provide for us even when you were going to school full time. I am so proud of you, you are a super man. You have never let me down and words can't really describe all the respect, love, admiration that I have for you. I love you.

I haven't posted for a while; I have been trying to catch up on my sleep but nothing seems to work. Milo has some good days in which he sleeps pretty well, and later he gets into his days where he doesn't sleep at all. I don't like it at all. Jared and I look like drug addicts with our eyes so red from lack of sleep.

Milo is going to be 2 months old in ten days. He weighs eight pounds, likes to sleep listening to the sleepy time station on Pandora.com, he likes to smile, poop, throw up, wake up at night, he makes cute noises, likes to try to crawl, he rolls over and tries to stand up. It is really cute.

Jared and I can't wait until he sleeps the whole night. It seems to us that Mario never had problems sleeping. He probably did but Milo is just a lot of work, but he is too cute, so we can't stay upset with him.

We went out to eat for the first time with our whole little family last week at Weck's and we had a friend over for dinner tonight. I hope we can start settling into a normal schedule.
