As a recent arrival to Hoboken, I have one major question: What's with the helicopter traffic?
Where are they all going? Why do most of them fly north to south (and not back)?
I thought tourist rides were banned after the recent gruesome helicopter/small plane crash over the Hudson?

Information is most welcome.

This "rant" is pointless. There are occasions when pointing out bigotry, racism and similar sentiments is righteous and productive, but you're just patting yourself on the back for how "open minded" you are. Who cares about a bunch of morons taking cheap shots? You're writing shows no irony when you belittle and scorn people for not respecting other's opinions. You don't believe people should respect everyone's opinions, just the ones that don't make you cringe. You can never take away a person's right to say what they wish, but that doesn't mean we have to respect their views. We have to stop getting distracted and puffing ourselves up by chastising the ignorant polemics of idiots. I'm supposed to care about every loser that criticizes my weight or height or my skin color or whatever? Our elected officials are misusing our money on the local and national level and making decisions on our behalf that have terrible consequences. The Hoboken City Council is 4 months into the fiscal year with no budget, although I learned last night from a council person that we should expect a budget the moment the election is over. They have spent $50 mil. already and are therefore on track to go over budget again. The new hospital has the city directly on the hook for $52 mil. if it really goes into the red and property owners saw a tax increase of 47 percent last year, which the same council person predicted would see no decrease now or ever. We the people need to start paying attention to what really matters.

Pity to see such an articulate writer discontinue, even if its just to rant about Hoboken.

In my experience its easy to tire of Hoboken but by the same token there's always something around the corner, or someone, to bring it back to life.

Go Hoboken!
