Many creatives I meet are angry. Especially after beer. They are angry that clients don't buy interesting ideas; that there is never enough time; that account handlers just say yes to every amend asked of them. From this anger a horrible gnarled knot of frustration can begin to grow and that can be that – the hapless creative becomes a dull grey nodder; accepting their lot and producing dire work. Alternatively the anger can build and erupt, resulting in the Creative Strop™ – the spectacular desk flipping, face-punching shouty-waving meltdown; "You cretins don't understand my genius!! I'm above all this!! I'm off to paint in the Dordogne valley".

So how can we all avoid the Creative Strop™ and the resulting court appearance. Here are my tips to keep us out of jail:<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheHoggblog/~4/iap_VGFMpH0" height="1" width="1"/>
