DIY Neon tennis shoes inspired by the Jil Sander neon oxford + OOTD wearing them

Hello Everyone,
Today's DIY will be a very simple and inexpensive one, like a lot of people I fell in love with the neon Oxford shoes by Jil Sander ( you can find some similar style at Aldo or h&m) but I wanted something that I could wear to the beach or to go shopping, something comfy! So I made my own version....Hope you like it :)

Subtle changes, big difference !
Here is what you need:
1- a pair of tennis shoes
2- neon spray paint I got it in yellow but Pink would have looked so cute too
3- scotch tape (any kind)
4- plastic bag

Remove laces from shoes.
Cut the bag in a square shape and tape it all around the tennis shoe to protect the top part from paint.

protect the area you are going to work on. I simply used an old magazine...

now start painting until sole is completely covered (several light coats, will be better than a thick one)

and don't forget the laces...

let it dry, then remove tape and plastic bag and Voilà! you're done.

Today I am going to share with you a "fun but comfy" outfit I wore few days ago...

Urban Outfitters jumper (here) - ZARA shorts - Asos purse - Steve Madden shoes "Grettta" (here)

This jumper is extremely comfy, I bought it in yellow and pink on sale for $9 each !!!!

ps: my hair was never that orange, the lightening of the room the camera setting and the filter I used are the reason why my hair is that color :)

These Shoes "Grettta" from Steven Madden must be the most comfortable high heels I ever worn, really you don't feel like you are wearing heels at all!

Ombre hair DIY:" How to" step by step (Before/After)

Hello everyone,

Today, I finally decided to Ombre / dip dye my hair, I have been thinking about doing this for a while but I guess I was scared, mostly about bleaching my ultra thin hair...But I did it! And I am SO happy with the results. That's why I wanted to share with you the steps and the products I used to achieve the Ombre hair style...ps: I am not a hair stylist, what worked for me might not work for you...

What you need

1- 30 volume cream developer (here)
2- 1 paquet or 2 ( you will need to bleach at least 3 times) of blue bleach (here)
3- Clairol premium crème demi permanente in color 8A "light cool blonde" (here) (I recommend this exact brand because it worked so good it removed the orange/brass color from my hair like a charm, make sure to pick a "cool" color (A) or it WIL NOT WORK)
4- a plastic mixing bowl (here)
5- a reusable pair of gloves (here)
6- a brush (here)

Put your gloves on, mix the paquet of bleach with 2 oz of developer using the brush. the color of the mixture depends of the brand, this one was pretty blue lol...

Separate your hair on both sides of your head and generously apply the mixture onto your hair (as you can see make sure to use an old tshirt, it will be messy!)

I decided to bleach my hair until the ears, make sure to not make any harsh line with the brush, use your fingers to blend some of the mixture onto your hair. wait 40 minutes, then rinse (no shampoo) blow dry and bleach again (start 1-2 inches lower every time you bleach to create a gradient effect).
I had to bleach my hair 3 times.

and this is how my hair looked after the second bleaching...Orange and it got worst

Neon Orange! it was horrible and I was starting to get scared I thought a purple toned toner would help...but it did NOTHING. (not pictured)

My hopes were kind of low when I decided to use my last product; the Clairol A8 hair color,
I mixed in my mixing bowl 2 oz of the cream color (the totality) and 2 oz of 30 volume developer. I applied it on my whole head (and I regret it because it lightened my roots a little bit. Not the goal!). And I waited 30 minutes...

And TAADDAA !!!! Amazing, the orange is completely gone (it does look warm on pictures but it is much cooler in person) I am glad I didn't gave up :)

My hair is not really damaged from all the bleaching, toning and coloring I did today, I am surprise, but I am still going to deep condition my hair every other day I think...

I read many great reviews about the Mega Cholesterol by Silk Elements on Makeupalley and Sally's website, it's rich creamy buttery "Intensive conditioning treatment for chemically treated hair. This moisturizing conditioner rehydrate dry brittle hair, restore moisture, improve elasticity add body and leave hair soft and silky to the touch..."

So I decided to give it a try, and I am already loving it! my hair feels so soft, softer that it ever felt amazing and for less that $5, I am even more satisfied. You need to try this too !

I decided to bleach my hair another 2 times to get my tips "blonder" and I died it again using the Clairol premium crème demi permanente in color 10A "lightest cool blonde" this time. and here is the result...

I am completely obsessed with these asymetrical shoes, they are very edgy "not everyone cup of tea" and super comfy, I think it's funny that from the side they look like two different shoes. Love them.

I fell in love with this lace shirt very elegant very classy especially the back but unfortunately very fragile as well...

I received this clutch as a gift when I thought it was sold out, what a great surprise, I can't stop carrying it around. As you can see my style is very simple not very colorful (to not say black/grey/white) so this little thing add some "bling" to my outfits :)

I decided to wear a Bandeau under the lace shirt because I didn't want any "sexyness" I was supposed tp wear a nude color bandeau, but couldn't find it. Bandeau Charlotte Russe.

I tried the "Perfect Pony" by Conair - Before and After pictures in this post

Hello ladies!
Yesterday while shopping at Walgreens, I came across the "Perfect Pony" by Conair, after reading on the box that it creates a thicker pony, I knew I had to buy it. For your information, my hair is so thin that ponytail always looks ridiculous on me. Anyways, I decided to give it a try and...I am glad I did...

Perfect Pony by Conair $5,99

The Perfect Pony tool and 3 no damage elastics (awful elastics by the way)

The instructions : 1. Separate top section of hair from bottom 2.Place the Perfect Pony tool underneath top section of hair angled down 3. Gather all hair around the Perfect Pony securing your look with a no damage elastic.

And voilà! You are done, a very full thick pony tail in less than 2 minutes

See the difference, crazy right?

Overall: If you have very thin and volume less hair like mine, or that you just want to have a thicker pony tail, this little tool will do magic on you too. I recommend it!

Today post will be a little bit different than the posts I usually do, I decided to share with you some pictures I took of the things I love (very random).

1. When people ask me what my favorite drink is, my answer without hesitation is Milk (boring huh?) I am addicted. What I love most about milk is drinking it while eating something chocolate; cereals, cookies...or both.

2. I found these (very Isabel Marant inspired) Sneakers in a small boutique in Paris next to my Job, I've always loved the Isabel Marant ones but couldn't justify buying some heeled sneakers for over $600. My cheap version is 100% genuine leather and might be the most confortable shoes ever (after UGG)

3. I love to start my day with a cup of hot chocolate and some chocolate cookies on the side while reading magazines...Yes this is my breakfast, I am French and only eat sweet things in the morning.

4. Topshop studded slippers (Vectra), If like me you need some flats but aren't into ballerinas, slippers are the best alternative, especially those...

5. My beloved Christian Louboutin (Lady Lynch 120mm), I absolutely adore those shoes, they make me smile everytime I look at them. They truly make me feel like a princess...(Ps: not comfy - painful)

6. Glitters close up, because glitters make me happy....

6bis. Extra picture (I forgot to add this one into my collage) some ZARA sequins shorts, I am a big fan of ZARA and I always love adding new pieces from that brand into my dressing. Especially this kind...

7. Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in Vendôme, a gift from my coworkers this is a gorgeous shade of red. I am lucky.

8. What's funny is that I am not a sweet tooth person, but I absolutely love (adore?) chocolate all kind...but Ferrero Rocher are my favorites....

8. Eau de Cologne by Chanel, another gift I received from my coworkers, I always loved the scent but it was too expensive for me ($300 a bottle I believe, crazy I know...) I am lucky.

I can't believe it is already 2012, 2011 went way too fast in my opinion, I feel like 365 in a year is not enough anymore...

How I did my hair? I followed FoxyLocks's tutorial on YouTube. For this look I used some cheap eBay hair extensions. I don't recommend them...

DIY: The Sparkly boots

Hello Everyone,
I hope you guys are doing fine and getting all ready to welcome 2012, I am!
This post will be my last one for 2011 and to "close" the year I decided to show you my latest DIY (inspired by this blog).The Sparkly Boots.
I've got those boots from Asos couple years ago and I really liked them, very comfy, wore them pretty often they were my everyday boots...Until they stop being my everyday boots lol I guess it was the time for a MAKEOVER and a Sparkly one of course...Hope you like it!

I am really (re)loving my boots now, they feel brand new again...

What I am wearing: ZARA shirt- Bershka shorts - ZARA clutch - Asos DIY boots

List of the products I used or similar:

-a pair of ankle boots (here)
-fabric white glue that dries clear (here)
-glitters, I only used 1 jar from the two I bought for both shoes, my jars were 10ml each (here)
-spray paint, in case you need to change the color of the heels (here)
-a brush.

Step 1, I changed the color of the heels using the spray paint (it was raining outside the day I did it, so I just sprayed the paint in a container and painted on the heels with the brush)...

Step 2, after cleaning your brush or using another one, apply the fabric glue all over the desired area. Make sure to use twice more glue than what I used, it should be all white...

Step 3, sprinkle the glitters all over the glue, using the brush mix the glue with the glitters, apply more glue over the glitters and mix it again...Do it as many time as necessary (I did it 5 times)...

Step 4, clean! the glitters are crazy messy...And Voilà you are done!

Back from the Zara blouse, 1 word: amazing! I really love it, what do you think?

Today I a going to show you a simple DIY (Do It Yourself) Spiked clutch. I had this very cute American Apparel clutch in my closet that didn't get any love (the tags were still on)...
I remember buying it for it simplicity but I guess I changed my mind and decided that it was maybe too simple! And I didn't know where to put that spikes anyways...
I love how it ended. Rock n' Roll Baby...

I couldn't take a decent picture of the front, it looks very blah...But it looks amazing in real life!

DIY : The Studded Bra

Hello everyone,
Few days ago I decided to finally use the studs I ordered from eBay weeks ago. I wasn't sure about what I wanted to customize and I thought that a studded bra could look nice, so I did it and I love it! if I didn't go symmetrical it is because I like asymmetrical things.

Here is the bra I choose, make sure it is a very thin bra (no padding)

The pyramid studs I used. I ordered 500 and I have Maybe 55% left

And this is how it looks after 2 hours of studding lol. Patience is the key...

This is how I plan to wear it, with maybe some high waist short, or instead of the Blazer a shee black/white blouse...

It is way more flattering and pretty in real life it naturally catches lights and make it very shiny and sparkly :)

Earthy - Earthy + UD all nighter mix - Cobra - Zardoz

I am a huge fan of e.l.f Mineral eyeshadows and I love how amazing they look mixed with water, mixing medium or setting spray. They are Must have in my Opinion.

Urban Decay is a Long lasting makeup setting spray, that works well as setting your makeup but that works even better mixed with loose eyeshadows/pigments.

Top: e.l.f earthy Mineral eyeshadow
Bottom: e.l.f earthy Mineral eyeshadow + Urban Decay All nighter
and of course it lasted ALL NIGHT !!!!! Amazing right?

I know it's been a while! I wasn't really motivated...But I will try to post more often now (I said try lol). Anyways...
Today was a very sunny and hot day and my outfit wasn't appropriate for this weather. Unfortunately I realized that after leaving my house and I didn't care enough to come back and change.
I decided to wear my new wedges sneakers, they are comfy and their color make me happy...

Victoria's Secret review: Miraculous bra Bikini top with Before/After pictures...

Hello Ladies,
Today I am going to talk about the Victoria's Secret Miraculous® Push-up Swim Top. I am a Huge fan of the Miraculous Push-up bras (my review here) so when I found out they had a swimsuit kind, I had to have at least one! I am a 34B. With the Miraculous bra I am easily a 34D (lol) And now I can also be a 34D at the beach.Awesome :) Thank you Victoria!

The two models I chose...Black Pleather and Neon watermelon feathers.

As you can see the padding of the Miraculous Bikini top is exactly like the Miraculous bra.

Now the Before/After pictures wearing a (very) lightly padded h&m bikini top and the Miraculous bikini push-up. WOW!

ZOOM just because the difference is pretty amazing!

the Before/After pictures from the side don't really make a difference but it DOES in real life. It was too hard to capture.

I also would like to show you one of my favorite Nail polish for the summer 2011 a very bright neon pink from Sinfulcolors (Walgreens). How gorgeous....

The Perfect products for a Perfect skin. Swatches and BEFORE/AFTER pictures...

Hello ladies,
Today I decided to show you my FAVORITES products to achieve the perfect flawless and Glowy skin (in my opinion). I have been using these products for a while and I absolutely love them ALL. Here is the list:

Nars bronzer in Laguna , MAC msf in Gold Deposit, Eyeko 3 in1 cream extra Glow and (the best) KiKo perfect glow foundation in 02.
So let's start with some "naked skin" pictures ouch! (Not so perfect, discoloration redness, scars...)

Picture #1 Natural light - Picture #2 Flash (lol it was hard to post)

First, I apply the foundation. KIKO is a new Italian brand that I discovered in Paris few months ago, I went to their store because they had absolutely ALL nail polish colors you can imagine, for only 2,5 euros. While I was there I decided to try some of their face products and I picked the Perfect Glow foundation for 12euros I believe (website is in Italian and I never ordered from them online but I plan to), I am so glad I did! It became my HG foundation after the first day wearing it. The coverage is buildable from medium to full without effort, it is very creamy and blends perfectly into the skin and hide any discoloration or redness. Bye Bye Concealer :)

Then, I contour and give a sun kissed effect to my skin with the Nars Laguna Bronzer. Laguna is perfect for you if other bronzers tend to turn orange on you. Laguna doesn't!

Now let's add some Glow! Mac Gold deposit is perfect for this. I apply it on and below the cheekbones (make sure to blend it into your hairline).

To add even more Glow, apply Eyeko extra glow on top of the apples of your cheeks.

The Bronzey Cheeks FOTD...

Hello Everyone,
Today a Quick Face of the Day, using two of my new favorites products for the Summer Nars Laguna Bronzer and MAC Gold Deposit MSF (swatches and pictures in the next post). Having bangs make the FOTD posts way more difficult because it is always in the way !!!! (lol)

Face: CoverGirl Ultimate finish liquid powder in 425 buff beige - Nars Bronzer in Laguna.
Eyes: Sleek palette in Storm - Maybeline Gel liner in Black - l'Oréal Voluminous mascara in Carbon black.
Checks: MAC Msf in Gold deposit
Lips: MAC lipstick in Angel.

Angel is such a pretty color it's Pink it's Creamy it's perfect. One of my favorite everyday lipstick.

Hello Everyone,
I can't believe, I can blog again! some of you may already know (via twitter) but I couldn't access my blogger account for weeks!!! It is the second time this happens to me. Am I the only one having those kind of issues with blogger.com? Please let me know.
OK back to the topic, today I am going to show you one of my simplest OOTD ever, as you know I really love basic and earthy colors, but I am starting to love neon colors a lot...

As you can see I decided to go "Jet Black" with my hair...
