Is British Beer Company coming to Westford, MA?

The talk of the British Beer Company coming to Westford, in the old Applebee’s location, has been flying around for several months. It’s more than a rumor, I’ve actually heard it from some very reliable sources directly involved in their planning process. But a few folks are insisting that its another chain coming in, such as the Boston Beerworks. Here’s a datapoint that should give some clarification…there was a public hearing on the transfer of the liquor license from Applebees to BBC.

I’m a big fan of the British Beer Company, and have been to the ones in Sandwich, Hyannis, and Framingham. One thing Westford could use is more live musical entertainment, and BBC will be having bands several days a week.

There were only five homes that sold in Westford in January 2010. The biggest reason for such a low number is that there just aren’t many houses for sale in the dead of winter. Many of the houses on the market have been on for a while. These home sale numbers will pick up as I’m already seeing activity from people getting ready to list their homes for the spring season.
