My little Bar Chart

As Chad said, we had to break out the extra pants last week and size everyone up. By the end of the year they usually are well above their shoes! This is the last year they will all be at the same school. Charlie is going off to Denver Academy while the three littles will stay at all souls.

Another year on the books at All Souls! Take a look at Chad's (It's not scrap booking) pages. https://photos.app.goo.gl/jixxXpDX4RkFn4Yp2 I love how he takes the time to remove the background on some of the pictures and places them strategically on the kids' pages. Garney, Granddan, Megan, Cooper, Kayla, Alyssa and many others made the yearbook this year.

Daniel's First Communion - All Souls

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sun, 06 May 2018 00:36:00 +0000

We celebrated Daniel's First Communion & Cinco de Mayo! Very blessed to have our Parish Priest, Father Sam give the sacrament. I always loved looking at Chad's first communion picture with all the little faces that we grew up with. I hope Daniel gets that same opportunity....

Tooth Fairy is going broke

noreply@blogger.com (Angela Hooper) — Mon, 09 Apr 2018 15:59:00 +0000

Its that time in our lives when none of the kids have teeth and none of the parents have 1$ bills! I think these two look an awful lot alike here.

Ana is Movin' on Up

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 01 Jun 2017 04:18:00 +0000

Ana's Moving up Ceremony today at All Souls Catholic school. Every child that will enter Kinder next year "graduated" and told all of the parents what they wanted to be when they grow up. Ana will apparently be a Gardener? She really like flowers.

Our little Lector

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sat, 25 Mar 2017 03:26:00 +0000

Daniel was asked to do the reading at the School Mass this week. Chad and Daniel practiced for about a week. Play the video and see how his hard work on "The Prayer of Azariah" from the book of Daniel (3:25-45) came out. We are pretty proud of our 6-year-old and his oratory skills.

Let's Do This!

noreply@blogger.com (Chad) — Sun, 11 Sep 2016 02:13:00 +0000

Mulch is on sale and we have a back corner that needs some serious work.
I can do this . . . Mikey can help! Gotta collect the supplies.

Mikey sure is pushing hard on that cart. Not sure I could've lugged around 15 bags of mulch without him.

A New Thing

noreply@blogger.com (Chad) — Tue, 06 Sep 2016 02:06:00 +0000

So something that I have been waiting a long time for has finally happened. We are all able to take a family bike ride! With the exception of Mikey (riding in the trailer) all the kids are comfortable and reliable enough to ride on the neighborhood streets. Even though she doesn't show up in any of the pictures, I even got Mom out to ride with us. A true family adventure! We did "The Big Loop" as Daniel calls it and even snuck in a side trip to visit our old neighbors, John and Tonia.

Renovation!

noreply@blogger.com (Angela Hooper) — Wed, 15 Jun 2016 02:40:00 +0000

Welcome to week 14 of the Hooper bathroom renovation extravaganza!!!! It was time to update the master and kids bath upstairs. Instead of 2 baths, we hired a designer and Chad carved out three full baths upstairs to help with the through-put of children as they grow. Take a look at the pictures. I'll post progress to the web album. Today was cabinet installs!

Charlie's 9th Birthday

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 23 Mar 2016 15:24:00 +0000

Happy 9th Birthday Charlie! We had two parties this year. One at Jumpstreet with 21 of his closeest little friends and another on his actual birthday at home with family. Charlie says his favorite gifts were a remote control lightsaber-nightlight and a lego dragon (of course). Charlie received a room "reboot" from Mom and converted the airplane theme into a star wars room! Cousin Ryan helped celebrate and passed on his love of skateboarding by giving Charlie his first ever skateboard and pads. Unfortunately the next day brought a blizzard... so skateboard practice will have to wait.

Daniel-ism for the Day

noreply@blogger.com (Chad) — Wed, 03 Feb 2016 23:18:00 +0000

On the car ride on the way home from school:

Daniel: "I made this for mom. She has been a good mom, so I made this for her."

No response from Dad.

Daniel: "Dad did you hear me? Your wife has been good, so I made this for her."

Ghost of Christmas Future

noreply@blogger.com (Chad) — Thu, 07 Jan 2016 17:45:00 +0000

We just got back some work the kids did at school before Christmas break. One of Charlie's activities was to tell about a Christmas in the past, Christmas presently and a Christmas in the future. I assume this task was a part of a unit on A Christmas Carol. For his sentence on a Christmas Future he wrote:

"When I am 35 years old, I will spend Christmas with my cousins."

I sure hope so, buddy . . .
