Read Al-Qaida’s New Book

On June 30, a terrorist named Murasil al-Fajr posted a 179-page book on a well known Jihadi website. The book was written by Abu-Yahya al-Libi (pictured above) with an introduction by Bin Laden’s #2 Ayman al-Zawahiri.

The book titled, “Guidance On The Ruling Of The Muslim Spy” is meant to provide other terrorists with religious guidance on the thorny issue of Muslim spies.

What Al-Libi lays out is a startling look at just how devastating Bush’s anti-terror policies have been.

Here are some of the highlights:

“The spies… were sent to penetrate the ranks of the Muslims generally, and the mujahidin specifically, and [they] spread all over the lands like locusts.”

“The spies are busy day and night carrying out their duties in an organized and secret manner… How many heroic leaders have been kidnapped at their hands? How many major mujahidin were surprised to be imprisoned or traced? Even the military and financial supply roads of the mujahidin, which are far from the enemy’s surveillance, were found by the spies.”

Western spies are found under every conceivable cover, al-Libi wrote. “They have among them old hunchbacked men who cannot even walk, strong young men, weak women inside their house, young girls, and even children who did not reach puberty yet. The spy might be a doctor, nurse, engineer, student, preacher, scholar, runner, or a taxi driver. The spy can be anyone….”

“The occupation armies completely rely on recruiting spies and informants from the Muslim lands they usurped and conquered… The spy lives among Muslims, being one of them: living their life, wearing their dress, eating what they eat… Therefore, he can access what the armed soldiers of the occupation cannot put hands on.”

Al-Libi goes on to say he would rather not write about this stuff, but feels obliged to because it’s such a huge problem. He writes that the issue of Western spies infiltrating their organizations must be discussed and can no longer be avoided.

“Taking into consideration the importance of the issue and the vital need to clarify its details, I found myself obliged to write about it…the issue cannot be delayed anymore.”

“This issue cannot be solved by hiding or eliminated by neglecting. It cannot be stopped if we don’t talk about it because its wickedness is overwhelming, the situation is dangerous, the damage is massive, the war fires are growing.”

The book is 88-pages after being translated into English and offers a fascinating look into the mind of the enemy. Their belief that killing Americans and other infidels is “God’s work” continues to make radical Islam the most serious threat to America.

Contrary to what President Obama says about Bush’s policies making America “less safe”, this book and mountains of other evidence show otherwise. President Bush understood that his job was not to make the whole world like us, but rather to make our enemies fear us.

Hunting down the terrorists like dogs, killing them, and/or extracting information from them by any means necessary was and is the best strategy for keeping America safe.

Chris Matthews’s Leg Gets Familiar Feeling During Sotomayor Hearing

Last time Chris Matthews had a “thrill up his leg” it was while listening Barack Obama. Well, it looks like the thrill is back! The Sotomayor hearings have apparently reactivated what was thought to be a dormant leg.

Chris Matthews on the Sotomayor hearings:

"I’m getting one of those thrills I get about America," Chris Matthews said. "I’m sorry, I shouldn’t say this and I’m getting it again," he said. Matthews concluded he got the "thrill" after Sotomayor "talked about sitting at that table and not being a genius like Barack Obama."

Just referring to Barry as a genius is now enough to cause Matthews to have an on-air orgasm. Wow.

Liz Cheney Sets The Record Straight On Obama’s Phony Cold War History

President Obama always panders to foreign audiences — that’s a given. Apologizing for America around the world has become standard operating procedure.

However, on his recent trip to Moscow his pandering went a step further. Obama attempted to rewrite cold war history by downplaying America’s role in it.

In today’s WSJ, Liz Cheney sets the record straight on the dishonest history lesson Obama gave to the Russians:

Speaking to a group of students, our president explained it this way: "The American and Soviet armies were still massed in Europe, trained and ready to fight. The ideological trenches of the last century were roughly in place. Competition in everything from astrophysics to athletics was treated as a zero-sum game. If one person won, then the other person had to lose. And then within a few short years, the world as it was ceased to be. Make no mistake: This change did not come from any one nation. The Cold War reached a conclusion because of the actions of many nations over many years, and because the people of Russia and Eastern Europe stood up and decided that its end would be peaceful."

The truth, of course, is that the Soviets ran a brutal, authoritarian regime. The KGB killed their opponents or dragged them off to the Gulag. There was no free press, no freedom of speech, no freedom of worship, no freedom of any kind. The basis of the Cold War was not "competition in astrophysics and athletics." It was a global battle between tyranny and freedom. The Soviet "sphere of influence" was delineated by walls and barbed wire and tanks and secret police to prevent people from escaping. America was an unmatched force for good in the world during the Cold War. The Soviets were not. The Cold War ended not because the Soviets decided it should but because they were no match for the forces of freedom and the commitment of free nations to defend liberty and defeat Communism.

In other Liz Cheney news, she told the Washington Times that she’s open to running for office.

Secret CIA Program Revealed?

In an effort to take Obama’s economic failures off the front page, democrats once again resurrected an issue that so far has also been a failure — CIA witch hunts.

CIA Director Leon Panetta supposedly told Congress about a CIA program last week that up until that point had been kept from Congress at the behest of Vice President Dick Cheney.

Liberals in Congress predictably ran to the press and pointed to Panetta’s disclosure as proof that the CIA lies to Congress, which means Nancy Pelosi was telling the truth when she made that accusation some weeks ago.

You can’t tell the media about a “secret” program they can’t know about, because like a child they’ll keep digging and begging until they find out the secret.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting today new details on the secret program that Panetta disclosed to Congress.

Apparently, the program involved the assassination of top Al-Qaeda leaders.

Amid the high alert following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a small CIA unit examined the potential for targeted assassinations of al Qaeda operatives, according to the three former officials. The Ford administration had banned assassinations in the response to investigations into intelligence abuses in the 1970s. Some officials who advocated the approach were seeking to build teams of CIA and military Special Forces commandos to emulate what the Israelis did after the Munich Olympics terrorist attacks, said another former intelligence official.

"It was straight out of the movies," one of the former intelligence officials said. "It was like: Let’s kill them all."

I hope liberal democrats are not hanging their hat on this one. If the left thinks Americans are going to be upset about a program to kill Al-Qaeda terrorists, they’re wildly mistaken.

Terrorists should be hunted down and killed. Not arrested, not brought back for Eric Holder to give rights to, but killed on the spot.

The most troubling aspect of this latest revelation is not that such a program was being discussed, but that such a program was not immediately implemented.

More troubling still, is the fact that Director Panetta’s knee-jerk reaction to learning of the program was to cancel it.

As usual, this latest CIA dust-up is more about politics than anything else. Like Eric Holder’s determination to prosecute the very people who’ve kept us safe, Democrats are determined to play politics with our national security.

Inmates being held in federal supermax prisons are not allowed to read president Obama’s books.

The two books written by Obama: “Dreams From My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope” contain material “potentially detrimental to national security” according to prison officials.

Obama Leaves Moscow, Russia Resumes Threats

It was only a couple of days ago that President Obama was waxing poetic in Moscow about “resetting” relations with Russia, blah, blah, blah.

The U.S. and Russia must leave "behind the suspicion and the rivalry of the past so that we can advance the interests that we hold in common," Obama said.

"We must lead by example, and that’s what we are doing here today. We resolve to reset U.S.-Russian relations so that we can co-operate more effectively in areas of common interest," he said.

Obama assured Russian President Medvedev that he was willing to negotiate on the planned missile defense system in Poland.

As always, the president was heavy on the pandering:

The U.S. president repeated Washington’s position that the planned system is aimed at intercepting missiles from Iran and has nothing to do with countering "a mighty Russian arsenal."

The problem with Obama’s foreign policy approach is that after the flash bulbs die down, the hand pumping and back slapping finished, reality once again sets in:

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev warned the United States on Friday that if it did not reach agreement with Russia on plans for missile defence systems, Moscow would deploy rockets in an enclave near Poland.

In sharp contrast to his positive words during President Barack Obama’s visit to Moscow earlier this week when the two reached broad agreement on nuclear arms cuts, Medvedev used a news conference at the G8 summit to return to Russia’s earlier tough rhetoric on arms control.

Referring to an order he gave earlier this year to prepare deployment of short-range Russian missiles in the western enclave of Kaliningrad to answer to any U.S. deployment of a missile shield in central Europe, Medvedev said:

"If we don’t manage to agree on the issues, you know the consequences. What I said during my state of the nation address has not been revoked."

…But in Italy on Friday, Medvedev returned to the Kremlin’s traditional posture on the system, describing it as "harmful" and "threatening to Russia".

Obama just doesn’t understand Russia. The Soviet Empire may be over, but the same Commie assholes that were in charge then are in charge now.

Vladimir Putin is an icy KGB boss completely immune to Obama’s charms. It’s true that America doesn’t look at Russia as much of a rival anymore, but that feeling is not mutual.

The Russians don’t view missile defense as a danger to Russia itself, but rather to its “sphere of influence.” In other words, if the USA has a missile defense system in Poland then Russia can no longer threaten its democratic neighbors with missiles.

Russia does everything it can to undermine the young democracies in former Soviet states like Georgia, Ukraine, and Poland. A missile shield protecting those countries would basically de-fang the Russians.

Putin has compared the U.S. missile defense plan in Poland to the Cuban Missile Crisis and vowed to take military action to prevent it.

That argument is laughable on its face. The Soviet’s tried to put nuclear cruise missiles 90 miles off the coast of Florida.

The U.S. missile defense system in Poland will be armed with missiles that contain no warhead or explosives of any kind.

The missile defense works by sending a high-speed projectile to impact the incoming warhead to destroy it.

It would be a disaster for Obama to fold on missile defense and give in to the Russians.

Our allies in the region depend on a strong America to keep the Russians at bay while they attempt to build their democracies and rid themselves of Communism once and for all.

Funny: Coulter Continues Antagonizing Olbermann

Ann Coulter has an excellent column this week about the liberal media’s visceral hatred of Sarah Palin.

While making her point, Ann takes a nice shot at Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.

Oddly, Keith responds to Ann’s dig not at him but at Maddow. In fact, Keith didn’t even mention the shot taken at him, probably because it rings a little too true.

Here’s what Ann said about Rachel Maddow:

The peculiarly venomous hatred of Palin is driven by women of the left and their whipped consorts. All that needs to happen is for a feminist to overhear two Nation readers saying, "I hate to admit it, but Palin is kind of hot" and …

WHAT??????????? YOU CALL THAT HOT? I’LL HAVE YOU KNOW WE’VE GOT A MEGA-SUPER HOTTIE IN DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ. AND NEED I REMIND YOU AGAIN OF THE RAW SEX APPEAL OF RACHEL MADDOW?

Democrats are a party of women, and nothing drives them off their gourds like a beautiful Christian conservative. (How much money has that other beautiful born-again, Carrie Prejean, been forced to spend on lawyers to respond to liberal hysteria?)

Here’s what she said about Keith:

The truth is liberals are furious they won’t have Sarah Palin to kick around anymore — at least not with Palin’s hands tied behind her back by her public office.

Something tells me Keith Olbermann isn’t going to be pulling any big numbers this summer attacking Eric Cantor and Michele Bachmann. I don’t anticipate any sudden outbreaks of "Mitch McConnell Derangement Syndrome."

Soon we’ll only hear about Keith when his creepy e-mails using his mother’s death to hit on chicks start making the rounds again. (Tip to Keith: When a girl refuses to give you her phone number, her assistant’s phone number or her personal e-mail address, and only gives you her assistant’s e-mail address, you’re not halfway in the sack.)

Truthfully, I think Keith is still mad that Ann made him look like such a buffoon a few months ago when she called him out for his phony Ivy League degree.

Olbermann was so outraged he came on his show the next night with his framed diploma and waved it around on live television.
