Tired of Stupidity in Games

I am tired of all the stupidity in games. I am not sure if I am going to want to continue to use forums for certain games. That is all for now.

I haven't posted here in a long while, and I want to post about something now...

I play a game, and in this game, there are going to be a few changes that some other players clearly don't like. These players are so upset that they're either threatening to leave the game (like a threat like that matters) or have already deleted their characters/accounts.

To that, I say that these people are cowards. They are afraid of this change, so instead of trying to adapt, they leave.

Is that what people should do in a situation where a change is going to happen? leave instead of adapting?

I don't know what to think or do about that. It seems foreign to me.

Well, it's 2013, and I haven't been posting here a lot lately.

I just wanted to give some insight on what's been happening...

I am still playing some of the games that I mentioned in an earlier post (those games being DCUO and STO). There's been a couple of additions and subtractions as well...

One such addition is a game called Aion which I started playing in April of 2012 when the game went "truly free" as it is called. This game is pretty cool in that you can have some of the stuff you'd normally get as a subscriber to a game, but you get the stuff completely free. Normally in a game like this, you'd be getting the maximum number of characters (and character slots) as a reward for being a subscriber, and if this game had a "Free-to-Play" option, then the free players would probably get 2 characters, but with this Truly Free model, all players (free and paying players alike) get the maximum number of characters/slots of 8. Another benefit of the Aion Truly Free model is that there's virtually no restrictions on inventory/bank slots that you can have, and if you need more, you'd just use the in-game currency to get it.

There is a cash shop with the game, and you can get boosts in XP, and some other stuff, but it's mostly cosmetic. I really like the way it's done. I haven't bought anything from the cash shop as I don't think it is really necessary for me at the point I am in with the game.

Another addition that made it was a game called Star Wars: The Old Republic. I like this game well enough, but there are some stuff about it that I feel is done incorrectly. I won't go into detail about these things, but I am not really a fan of them.

There's one game I want to mention as one I didn't like one bit after trying it for a while twice in the last year, a game called C9 (or Continent of the Ninth Seal). It was okay, as far as game play and I did like the character creation process, but at least for me, trying to get the "skill test" done at level 9 was unnecessarily difficult, and didn't add to the "challenge factor," what it did add was a sense of it not being fun. So I had about 9 characters with that game, and I immediately thought that it was time that I uninstalled the game permenantly, which I did. I deleted the 9 characters and uninstalled the game. I haven't looked back at that decision.

Recently, I decided to try Tera, a game that I thought was interesting. After spending some days on the game, I have to say that it isn't as I thought it would be (in other words, I thought it'd be fun, but it's not). I don't really like that you have to actively keep the target in the target area, that's not really difficult for most people but it can be difficult for people who aren't really used to that sort of mechanic. I haven't made my final decision on what to do with the game, I might delete my characters from the game and uninstall it which I am leaning more towards doing now more than ever.

One thing I just remembered is that I am not really playing Dynasty Warriors Online much any more, I do go onto the game at times, but I don't "battle" in the game at all. As I said, the games I mentioned above (DCUO, STO, Aion and SWTOR) are much better in my opinion.

It has been some time since I last posted in this blog, and I just wanted to say that I am still here and I am still having as much fun as I can with the games that I am playing, as well as watching anime.

Currently, I have been playing a lot of Star Trek Online. It's a free-to-play game that was a pay-to-play game before January 2012, and it's a fun game.

I am also playing DC Universe Online (still, if I have mentioned it in my last post). I am playing another one called Aion which is pretty fun (the music is awesome).

There are two games on the horizon that I am looking forward to playing as they're both free-to-play games: Otherland and Marvel Heroes. These two games have me interested in them because they are interesting titles. Marvel Heroes is, of course, going to be about the superheroes of the Marvel Universe (much like DC Universe), however, it's going to be a lot different than DCUO. Otherland, on the other hand, will have some interesting mechanics with it, you aren't tied to one genre with Otherland. The locations and the characters look awesome in both Marvel Heroes and Otherland.

In any event, I am having fun with these game, and if you're playing them too, I hope you are having as much fun as I am in playing them.

Feeling a bit left out...

I am feeling a bit left out at the moment, even though I shouldn't feel that way. I don't know what I can do to not feel this way. I can say this though, I hate feeling this way, since it's painful.

I am trying my hardest to not be pushy, but I don't know how long that will last before I start demanding it.

I already demand things with some people who may not deserve the way I demand things, but I have gotten tired of how they want to exclude me. It is sad that I feel this way. I hope I come out of it soon.

Dynasty Warriors Online...

I have been playing this game for a while, and I have to say that it's a fun game. I even have the Japanese version of the game. Both versions are fun.

Currently, on the English version, my character in Shu, GoldenPath, is a rear general. This happened earlier today.

I am going to hope that I have an easier time with the rest of the tests.

I haven’t been posting in a while, well, that’s because I haven’t been wanting to post until now. I am doing well, I have been playing a game that I really like, still watching anime, and watching cartoons, and watching good shows as well.

I wanted to wait to see what sort of stuff I could get for the money I received for my birthday, and I decided on what I wanted. I bought two DVDs, both of them are movies while one is animated. One is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, while the other one is Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer.

With my purchase of the Harry Potter one, I also received a "free" movie pass to watch the movie on Amazon (where I bought both movies) and I watched the movie, which was excellent, by the way.

I have to wait until the second week of July to get both movies because the Gundam 00 Movie DVD was a pre-order since it's not supposed to be released until July 5, 2011.

Updated (June 5, 2011): Apparently, Amazon shipped my copy of Harry Potter today, I just checked my email and it said that it was shipped to provide quicker service. I will be getting the Gundam 00 movie at the time it was slated to be shipped in July, since it hasn't been released yet.

I have Firefox 4 on my computer, and I am not really liking it due to the fact that it doesn’t respond at times, and when this happens when I am watching a video, I get very annoyed. I would have to turn my speakers off to not have to hear the sound (which still goes on after the video part stops).

I don’t like that. There’s no reason for it.

My birthday was last week, and I went ahead and bought two anime movies on DVD. One is Origin: Spirits of the Past, and the other is Vexille. I have seen both of them and to me, they're excellent. I am going to wait to use the rest of my birthday money to get a DVD set of an anime series that I have wanted ever since seeing the Japanese version last year. The series is called Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts, and it'll be released in the Summer, which is when the second season of the series will be released in Japan.

Last week, on the 27th of December, 2010, I was moved from the Fifth level to the Sixth level on Yahoo! Answers. Currently, I have 10, 905 points on that site. I have about 14,095 points to go before reaching the final level at Yahoo! Answers: Level 7.

I am enjoying the site so much that it's taken me about 7 months to go from a low 175 points to over 10000 points. It's fun.

Julian Assange, the man behind the Wikileaks stuff, is a target for a lot of stuff. There are those in the US who think he should be arrested and tried and convicted of treason against the US. There is a small issue with that idea: Julian Assange isn't American. Julian Assange is Australian. He cannot be tried and/or convicted of treason against the US as he's not a US citizen. The only way that he can be tried and/or convicted is if the Australian government does it.

On the Wikileaks front, I want to point out that there is no correlation between them and Wikipedia. Some people may be thinking there are, but that's actually incorrect.

The reason why I was offline is because I had some serious health issues that needed to be rectified before continuing. My appendex burst, and it had to be taken out of my body, so I had to be admitted to the hospital and had surgery. I stayed in the hospital for four days, and the remaining time I have been recovering at home. I hope to be back to normal soon.

Update (Dec 10, 2010): Today, I had my post-op follow up appointment, and I am just about 100% recovered from having my appendix removed.

Willow Palin uses a gay slur in a Facebook rant...

Willow Palin, the younger sister of Bristol Palin and daughter of Sarah Palin, used a gay slur in a rant on her Facebook page. A user by the name of Tre, who went to school with the Palin kids, said that "Sarah Palin's Alaska (the show" is failing so hard now. Willow replied by saying this: "Tre stfu. Your [sic] is such a f***."

I have to say, Sarah needs to punish the lass. No parent in their right mind would ever allow a child to do that, even a parent as well known as Sarah. If Sarah is truly a good person, she'd punish Willow heavily just for saying the gay slur.

I am appalled that Willow would have been allowed to use that sort of language, I would hope that the Palins would have watched over her shoulder to make sure that nothing insensitive or offensive was written.

Survey Taker...

I have become a survey taker within the last two weeks. I like it. There's this site called NPDOR (NPR Online Research), and it's a survey site that if you complete a survey, you can play this instant win game, which has cash prizes with the most amount being $500. I have been trying to get that particular amount, but have so far been unable to do it. I did, however, manage to gain about 1200 points for the Sweepland site which is the sister site for NPDOR.

I have several stuff I hope I can win, like $5000, a laptop, $1000, and a portable gaming system. I would really want the money, though.

I have to say, I am somewhat disappointed in New Zealand...

Firefox 4 Beta 7 Preview and my issue with it...

I just have one issue with the Firefox 4 Beta 7 preview build. It doesn't allow me to refresh when I come onto the browser, I have to actually make a new tab with the content in it before I am allowed to refresh. I don't think this is intended to be there, so I gave feedback to Firefox about it. Hopefully when the browser is ready to be Firefox 4 Beta 7, that issue would be fixed.
