DUTIES

Resident Health and Wellness

1. Meet with each resident on a regular basis to provide health and wellness- checks and answer any health-related questions.
2. Review all resident information and complete an assessment of the resident prior to move-in, when changes in the resident's condition occur, and as required by residence policy and state regulation.
3. Review the resident's medical report prior to move-in to ensure that the residence can provide for the resident's individual needs and regulatory requirements have been fulfilled.
4. Order medications and oversee the resident's medication schedule for residents receiving medication administration services.
5. Ensure proper documentation for medication assistance/administration 
6. Assist the Resident Services Director to develop and maintain an up-to-date individual service plan for each resident.
7. Maintain ongoing communication with the resident, resident's family and physician regarding the resident's medical needs. 
8. Coordinate additional health services the resident may need.
9. Assist in coordinating resident transfer to and from a hospital or another facility.
10. Assist with counseling residents and families.
11. Be on call for medical questions and resident emergencies as scheduled.
12. Assist in coordinating residents' dietary needs with the Food Service Director.
13. Review changes in residents' condition with the Resident Services Director, Executive Director, and resident's physician/s
14. Assess residents and monitor their health.
15. Ensure that all infection control guidelines are met.
16. Maintain residents' wellness files.

Training and Regulatory Compliance

1. Facilitate OSHA training and assist employees with OSHA compliance. 
2. Oversee and assist with training regarding residents' health and wellness.
3. Coordinate state-required training with Executive Director to ensure regulatory compliance.


QUALIFICATIONS

* Current state nurses license (RN preferred)
* Minimum of one year experience in assisted living industry or health care
* Ability to respond during off-duty hours to questions and emergencies as scheduled

DUTIES

Primary Responsibilities:

Medication Administration

1. Follow the six 'rights" of medication administration (right resident, right drug, right dosage, right time, right route, right record/documentation) each and every time assistance with or administration of a medication occurs.  Check each of the six "rights" of medication administration three different times:
* When the medication is taken out of the medication cart or cabinet
* Immediately before assisting with/administering the medication
* Immediately after assisting with/administering the medication
2. Assist with or administer medications to resident according to their Medication Administration Record (MAR), if no errors are noted, uphold the residence's philosophy, and protect resident privacy.
3. Document clearly and accurately on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) after a medication is taken/given, refused, held, discontinued, changed, disposed of, returned, following the residence policy.
4. Maintain a neat, clean, organized medication cart/cabinet, and restock the cart/cabinet as needed. 
5.  Provide residents with any treatments required as part of their individual service plan as designated.

Resident Services

1. Provide quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the residence philosophy, policy and procedure, and resident rights.
2. Assist residents in meeting their physical, emotional, spiritual, and medical needs to achieve and maintain their highest level of wellness.
3. Promote and protect the residents' rights to safe, prompt, and confidential treatment.
4. Answer and respond immediately to resident calls.
5. Respect the residents' right to refuse medication/treatment.
6. Protect the residents' safety with medications.
7. Explain to the resident what medication is being given and why, prior to assisting with/administering the medication.
8. Observe the resident for any adverse reaction to a medication and report it to your RN  or supervisor immediately.
9. Maintain confidentiality of residents' records. 
10. Control the spread of infection by following standard precautions.
11. Dispose of infectious and potentially infectious waste according to residence policy and procedure, and OSHA regulations.
12. Establish and maintain a good relationship with residents and their families.
13. Respond to resident emergencies following proper procedure.
14. Carry out all duties properly and effectively as assigned by your supervisor.

Communications

1. Attend all regular staff meetings and required training sessions.
2. Effectively communicate information pertaining to the residents to other team members according to residence policies and procedures.
3. Effectively communicate to the RN  any changes noted in a resident's condition or behavior, adverse reaction to a medication, any resident concerns, complaints, refusal of a medication, any errors noted on the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
4. Report any and all medication errors honestly and immediately. 
5. Seek assistance and advice from your supervisor or RN  immediately if you have any doubts or questions when assisting with/administering medications or treatments before you perform the assigned task.
6. Respond to on-the-job injuries in accordance with the residence policies and procedures.
7. Notify your supervisor of any concerns or questions presented by the residents' family members.

As a growing, dynamic company located in the North Carolina Triad, thjis company is currently seeking candidates for a highly experienced Executive Secretary. This position will report directly to the President of the company.
The company's requirements are:
o	Strong organizational skills
o	Exceptional written and oral  communication skills
o	Excellence in composition of written correspondence, both confidential and complex
o	Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 
o	Proven problem solving skills
o	Edits, drafts and follows up with proposals, leases, agreements and other legal documents
o	Will have served as Executive Secretary for a minimum of 5 years



DUTIES

* Manages the President's calendars and schedules appointments for both professional and personal matters. 
* Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible. 
* Organizes programs, events, meetings or conferences by arranging facilities and caterers, issuing information or invitations, coordinating speakers and controlling event budget. 
* Prepares agendas, notices, minutes and resolutions for corporate meetings. 
* Takes and transcribes dictation and composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports and other complex documents including contracts and leases. 
* Performs complex and confidential secretarial functions including developing written correspondence. Responds to routine internal and external correspondence.  Types memos, purchase requisitions, payment requests and other department forms and documents. 
* Creates and maintains database and spreadsheet files. 
* Arranges complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries, compiles documents for travel-related meetings for all branches. 
* Prepares the President's weekly expense reports and monthly medical reimbursements. 
* Maintains confidentiality on all matters. 
* Reconciles corporate credit card account(s). 
* Provides back-up support as needed. 
* Performs other duties as assigned.

DUTIES

Leadership Expectations:

* Perform as an exceptional fundraiser, supported by a recent history working in a professional fundraising position; 
* Serve as ambassador in the community cultivating key relationships in the business, government, political, non-profit and individual donor areas;
* Develop research and benchmarking to support active prospecting and targeting of community and individual sources for funding community agencies;  
* Oversee and design the creation of all collateral materials; manage annual campaigns, provide ongoing and annual evaluation and measurement of targeted goals;
* Possess exceptional business development, sales, marketing and public relations skills;
* Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships in both the public and private sectors; 
* Exemplify an unstoppable can-do attitude of professionalism in the board room and unwavering ability to  get down and dirty in the details;
* Manage project planning, program implementation, fiscal accountability and other assignments as directed 


QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience; 
* three years' experience in professional fundraising required, CFRE certification and nonprofit experience preferred;
* Computer skills including knowledge of business and customer relationship management software programs.
