Since I got the collector's edition box mailed to me, I had to wait 18 more hours than had I purchased the digital copy. It was 18 agonizing hours lol.

Thought I would share the contents of My Cotton Bunny March box! Oh yeah, I'm not sure how I'm going to do my disclosure from now on. So for now I will just say that I am subscribed to this box with my own money.

I love the name of this haha. PMS Buster! It smells earthy and of lavender which I find soothing. It feels nice on the lips, it's not waxy or too slippery. Maybe it leans a tiny bit towards the waxy side after it starts to wear off a bit. I absolutely love lip balms and will definitely be applying this.

This pink envelope was taped shut and had a chocolate truffle in it. It was rock hard like it was dried out and I don't think I will try it. Something about food products not in sealed packages is bleh. Maybe I will cut in half for science!

This looks yummy, I love York Peppermint Patties so can't wait to dig into this.

Color Club New Halo Hues Beyond and Over The Moon Swatches

Color Club released another set of holos for spring called New Halo Hues. They describe the collection as colorful, iridescent shades that will brighten up the darkest of nights inspired by the Northern Lights. Here are 2 shades they sent to me.

Over The Moon 2 coats no topcoat. A lovely pale blue.

Beyond 2 coats no topcoat. This reminds me of the original version of My Private Jet with the dark base. Very pretty.

I don't have the other colors from this collection but if they are anything like these I'm sure they are stunning.

The formula was perfect, they were so easy to apply. The colors were very opaque and like most holos dried quickly. I normally have problems with holos because of my ridges but these did not show them. I wore a Color Club basecoat that came with one of my Ross packs I bought last year.

I usually don't wear topcoat when I wear holos, because of this the wear is shorter than a standard color but I think it is worth it. You can wear topcoat if you need your manicure to last longer, it will be very shiny but it may take away from the pretty holographic rainbow sparkle.

Nail Room Pictures

I am almost done with my nail room, I need a white desk chair and perhaps some small acrylic storage on my desk. Everything is white (almost, darn you Helmer!).

Looking in from the doorway. I have 2 tall Alex, 1 short Alex, 2 Melmers and a Helmer.

I have extra floor space so I keep my camera bag there. My friend Allie gave me a Hello Kitty chia pet for Christmas and a HK nail set. I don't know when I will grow the chia pet but I will definitely share when it's started. That USPS box is full of random colors I made, including duds, spares and prototypes I never finished.

I have an acrylic nail thingie (what do you call this? haha) on top of my tall Alex. I occasionally do a gel manicure so there is my UV light and a Hello Kitty traincase.

My work desk. This is also from IKEA. I hate the clutter! I need my basecoats, topcoats, remover and other little manicure things. Any suggestions on how to keep them stored right there but is easy to access? I am temporarily using a dining chair lol.

Looking down the table, I have another window for natural lighting, 2 desk lamps, 1 tripod for my camera and another tripod for my ring light. I plan on covering up that Amazon box and random phone book with white paper, my tiny lightbox needs them to support bottles inside and prevents from tipping all over the place. I got the lights and lightbox from Amazon.

I also have a closet that I forgot to photograph. I guess that's about it. Thanks for looking!

Had some fresh shrimp spring rolls for lunch and thought I would share. Then onto my spring collection swatches!

I used shrimp (cut in half), parsley, cilantro, cucumbers, carrots and sprouts.

Dip into warm water for 5-10 seconds.

Lay it out on your surface and place your ingredients on it.

Roll them up!

I didn't feel like a peanut sauce today so I just made a quick and easy soy sauce one.

Rice vinegar.

Spicy sesame oil, if you don't like spicy you can use normal sesame oil.

Added some water so it wasn't as salty.

Yum!

Kiwi Smoothie, 3 coats.

Li-lacquer, 3 coats.

Bliss, 3 coats.

Tickled Pink, 3 coats.

Fashionably Late 1 coat over Strawberry.

1 coat over Zoya Zuzu.

1 coat over Twenty Twelve.

1 coat over Kiwi Smoothie.

OPI Euro Centrale Spring/Summer 2013 Swatches and Review

This year's spring and summer offering, Euro Centrale by OPI.

Vant to Bite My Neck? 2 coats. Rich purple creme that was opaque and easy to apply.

My Vampire is Buff 3 coats. This is a very pale almost white sandy creme.

OPI... Eurso Euro 2 coats. Surprisingly opaque on the second coat, the first felt dicey because it applied so thin and sheer almost like a jelly.

Polka.com 3 coats. Dark turquoise, dark pink and light purple hexes with very small purple hex glitter in a clear base. At 3 coats you can see this is still sparse, so I would layer it. I did try to do a gradient french but it wasn't dense enough. The base formula was just right for glitter.

Here is 1 coat of Polka.com over OPI...Eurso Euro.

I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw 2 coats. A deep, dark blue creme. I would like to note that referencing this polish will be a pain, ISUSWSW?! Maybe just Warsaw...

OY-Another Polish Joke! 3 coats. Sheer, shimmery gold.

1 coat of OY-Another Polish Joke! over (here we go) I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw.

A Woman's Prague-ative 3 coats. After the first coat, I thought this was going to be very peachy but after each coat it built up color to this glowy dark orange with golden shimmer.

Hands Off My Kielbasa! 2 coats. Described by OPI as a bronzy tan, I don't really see it. When I wear it looks more peachy to me.

My Paprika is Hotter than Yours! 3 coats. Dark orange with a subtle shimmer. The formula was very thin and difficult to work with. This is also much darker than photographed here.

This is a more color-accurate photo and you can see the bit of silver shimmer. When you wear it you probably won't be able to see the shimmer at all.

Suzi's Hungary AGAIN! 3 coats. Warn pink with a subtle silver shimmer. This was also thin and difficult to work with.

Can't Find My Czechbook 2 coats. This blue is cheery and makes me wish for warm spring weather. The formula was thin but it is opaque enough for 2 coats.

You're Such a BudaPest 3 coats. Pale lavender with a pretty shimmer. The formula was thin and runny. You can see my ridges even with 3 coats.

I have mixed feelings about the formula because the colors that I liked, the pastels, were thin and hard to apply. The darker colors and the glitter were nice and creamy. Overall, I thought the colors were pretty for both spring and summer. My favorite is Can't Find My Czechbook, I just love light blues!

This collection is available now where OPI is sold. I just noticed that they increased the price from $8.50 to $9.00, just a heads up for anyone that didn't know.

My Cotton Bunny Subscription Box Review

I am a bit of a subscription box addict, I am up to 5 a month so far. Well to be fair, 2 of them are for my doggies, and they totally deserve it! My friend Steph from DSK Steph is always tempting me with her reviews of different boxes. She posted about this a little while ago and I knew I had to try it.

My Cotton Bunny is a monthly subscription box for well, that time of the month. I decided to give this one a try because I sure wouldn't mind a little extra help getting what I need and some pampering as well.

It arrives in a nice sturdy box with their name and logo all over it. This is the description card but the box is very similar. I get that you want your brand on the box, but I kind of wished it was a bit more discreet on the outside. Not everyone needs to see that I got tampons mailed to me, you know?

This is a single serving packet of hot cocoa. It looks good but I haven't tried it yet.

This is 1 small square piece of chocolate. I am not a big plain chocolate fan but this was not sweet and not overly bitter so I enjoyed it.

The whole reason why I tried this.

Super soft socks wrapped up to look like a cupcake! It has a little lollipop in the center too, so adorable. I love the socks I must have 5 or so other pairs like this already I wear them everyday at home so these were perfect for me. I also got a sponge to scrub my feet with, I forgot to take pictures. It's just a small sponge that's rough so you can remove your dry flaking skin off your feet.

Trying on some new glitters I'm making. They are layered over Nailtini Frappe (from My Glam Bag subscription!).

It costs $13.75 a month, shipped. You get your choice of tampons or pads from various brands, I was able to pick mine from the list. I think each brand may have their own size, but my Tampax Pearl comes in a 18 count box. This month my box of tampons had 2 free ones.

This is a new feature to me, you can now choose to get pantyliners every other month instead of your usual tampon or pads. I hope they implement more rotating options, I would like to see the option of choosing to get regular tampons and then a different flow type the next month.

I like this subscription a lot, it definitely cheers me up getting some goodies to sample and we all need supplies. Might as well get it mailed to me. Your significant other may thank you as well lol.

Mariah Carey by OPI Swatches and Review

OPI's next collaboration is with Mariah Carey, and this collection has 8 colors. I'm sure the ones that are intriguing people most are the Liquid Sand glitters, so check it out!

Anti-Bleak 3 coats is a dark purple creme. This smelled funny, like melted plastic.

1 coat of Pink Yet Lavender over Anti-Bleak.

Pink Yet Lavender 3 coats has large pink hex glitter with small holographic glitter in a clear base. This was on the thicker side, it made applying 3 coats a little difficult. This is clearly a layering glitter and when applying 1 coat over another color it's not an issue.

A Butterfly Moment 2 coats. OPI calls it a frosty nude but it didn't look that nude on me. I thought it was a pretty color in the bottle but it didn't go well with my skintone, it made my fingers look more red. It has a nice golden shimmer with other little specks of color, mostly green and pink.

Sprung 2 coats. This needs 3 coats I did not notice the sheer spots on my nails at the time. This is one of those shimmery glass fleck like colors with pink and gold in a coppery base.

Stay The Night 3 coats. The black part is bumpy I would say, not so gritty that it will snag on your clothes. The red glitter does stand out.

With 2 coats of topcoat.

The Impossible 3 coats. This is a reddish pink base with glitter, I know there are star glitters in there as well but I didn't get any on my brush.

With 2 coats of topcoat. You can see the glitter details much better with topcoat. When it was in the liquid sand state the larger hex glitters looked like dark blobs.

Get Your Number 3 coats. The base is a sheer blue with different sized glitters, some holographic. This one is my favorite. I think this is the most gritty of the bunch, it was very rough.

Very textured.

With 2 coats of topcoat.

Can't Let Go 3 coats. This one is a bit like The Impossible with its larger hex glitters and texture.

2 coats of topcoat. Very pretty.

I wore Get Your Number for 3 days (no topcoat) using the Elmer's Glue base, and it surprisingly held up perfectly. It also made removal a snap, so I definitely recommend using that if you plan on wearing any of the liquid sand colors.

For those 3 days, I was constantly touching my nails and rubbing them with my fingers. They were so scratchy I couldn't help it. It's not a bad thing or anything it was just so weird having something so rough on my nails I was kind of obsessed with touching them. Oh yeah definitely don't put in or take out contacts while you're wearing these without topcoat.

Other than the slightly thick glitter Pink Yet Lavender and the smelly-ness of Anti-Bleak, the formula was smooth and easy to work with. The liquid sand colors were very easy to apply and dried quickly.

I personally prefer topcoat over these liquid sand shades because I did not like having rough nails, but for those of you that may like the textured look definitely give them a shot. At least you always have the option of putting topcoat on them and making them smooth and shiny.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holidays with your friends and loved ones. Last year we went to Vegas and this year I happily sat around at home eating food and watching movies. Oh and Borderlands 2. I have a ridiculous amount of hours on that game. It's a good thing none of you are my steam friends!

I was assembling all my photos I had taken over the holidays and perhaps since the last time I posted, which was in October I believe. Then I realize I only had like 4 pictures. Yikes. I was browsing my folders looking for more photos when I noticed I was looking in last years folder. Hmmmm. I saw a mani from last January I liked. Let's share it! Ok. So then I went back another year. And another year. Well you get the idea. Before we take a trip down memory lane, how about the up to date photos, mmmm?

My first time trying spaghetti squash. Yum! I saw a recipe from Gina at Skinny Taste and I knew I had to try it. I love all kinds of squash so I enjoyed the flavor and texture of it. Want the recipe? So easy!

Bake in the oven for at 350 for 1 hour. I had to bake mine for an hour and a half because my squash was huge.
Fluff the squash with a fork.
Grill some chicken with salt and pepper and slice it up.
Pour warm marinara over the squash with your chicken. Gina's recipe called for melted cheese on top but I don't like cheese. I sprinkled a tiny bit of that dried Kraft parmesan for the photo lol.

I don't even like gold, but I had to get it. The shiny bottle lured me in like a fish. This is 1 coat of OPI The Man With The Golden Gun over Twenty Ten. I wore this for Christmas.

Jasmine always hates photos! Her Daddy has to help her look at the camera.

Belle is doing pretty good, she has to wear a cone full time for the most part because she will chew her leg raw from anxiety.

Now that I have run out of current photos, here we go...

For 2008 I didn't have a nail photo in Jan. I had chopped my hair super short the month before. I think it's the shortest I have ever had it. I also had no idea back then that you can groom your eyebrows and fill them in. Oh I cringe.

I don't know what the name of the $OPI is, sorry! I didn't know that my camera had a macro mode I don't think. These earlier ones were taken with a Kodak Easyshare 3 megapixel camera.

In 2010 I was rocking Color Club Pure Energy. I absolutely adore this color. It's sheer and needs 3 or 4 coats and patience but oh so worth it.

Okay so this isn't from Jan but I had include this in here. My Christmas mani of 2010 is my favorite of all time. I finally got a decent camera too!

And a month later I wore this. I miss stamping it's so fun! I keep buying new plates too, I have a pretty large stash now just haven't used anything lately. Just that 1 sad attempt last Halloween.

OPI So So Skullicious Swatches and Review

Candlelight 3 coats.

A-Rose from the Dead 2 coats.

Was a little bummed out to see the wonky brush.

Hi, Pumpkin! 3 coats.

Another goofy brush.

Mourning Glory 2 coats. This was almost opaque at 1 but I think it needed another. Dries on the glossier side but I think still needs topcoat.

The wonkiest brush of all! I still managed to not mess up too badly applying this color leaving the brush this way. I would normally trim or pull the pieces sticking out, but decided to leave them alone and apply the colors as-is for reviews sake. I was pretty disappointed that 3 out of 4 came this way.

You also get 2 small sheets of cute Dia de los Muertos themed water decals. I love water decals, they are so easy to use. You just cut around the shape, apply a few drops of water over the image and it should slide off. Then you apply it how you like on your nail and top it off with topcoat. The decal slides around so it is much more forgiving than a sticker.

The colors are cute enough but nothing new or that spectacular. Formula was smooth and easy to work with. I do love the decals that came with it. The huge turn off was the brushes for me. I don't know if I just got really unlucky with them, but since the mini brushes are pretty tiny it made it difficult to apply.

This retails for $12.50 and is available now.

It's a long story why I couldn't get Blogger app on my phone until now (I had a bad experience with the manufacturer, HTC) but I finally have it! Just testing it out.

I took this picture Sunday afternoon its my ume (plum) tree. It grows hard green plums used for umeboshi. This year I'm going to make that and plum wine! They are the size of cherries right now I can't wait until they are ready for pickling!

Super unexciting post I know lol.

OK just to keep it slightly polish related, Twenty Ten is ready but no labels! Hope to get that ready today, sorry for the delay.

One of my biggest requests is to have minis, so here they are. They are ready to go but I haven't taken photos with my hand swatched with them so they will be going up soon. Sneeze Breeze is up already for those that have been waiting for that one.

They are heart shaped with a pink cap! So kawaii!

They are 5ml, like the previous minis I had.

Upcoming shade #1. Its a dark pink / raspberry jelly with fine and small square red glitter.

Upcoming shade #2 is microfine and medium silver hex glitter with a small square and medium hex lavender glitter. This swatch is not the final version but very close!
