Missy and I took a little trip to the coast while I was visiting my native state. I have always loved twin rock, and it really shines on this gloomy Oregon coast day.

Finally got my trusty G9 back from repair (thank you Mack Camera for accident coverage) and it's just in time for some beautiful weather. The days start and end with clear sweet light, making by bike rides to and from work almost cinematic. Caught these gulls playing in the pond on my way home.

Sadly, we had to put Chloe to sleep yesterday. She fell ill long ago, and we gave her all that we could. She lived in many homes, traveled to Portland and back, had some fun idiosyncrasies, ravaged our house, was a constant bathroom companion, was known to cuddle with the dogs on occasion, lived much longer than the vet had expected, and all around, had a full, happy life.

She was a cool cat that we loved very much, Chloe, you will be deeply missed.

Had a good week with just me and the dogs. Made some great food that Melissa wouldn't eat, baked some amazing bread, and drank some cheap wine. All in all, a good week, though I wouldn't trade it for time with my lovely wife.

BCB stormed St Louis and tore that city down! The City Museum was amazing, We played a deciding game against Arch Rival Roller Girls, and we continued the after party into the early morning.

I had an amazing time at the Bike Fed's Love your Bike Party at Trocadero. I did a 23.114 on the gold sprints, not the best, but I was proud. It was Shea's last day with the the BFW, she's done a good job. SEE MORE HERE

Rocking the Bay View Family Restaurant after closing the Brew Haus for the after party of the first BCB home bout of 2010. Had a great time, though I could have done without polishing off a gyro plate at 3am.

My skaters brought a strong game against FWDG, very proud of how well we kept our cool. We also rocked the after party pretty well.

Over a foot of beautiful soft snow fell throughout yesterday and last night.

I love the building fronts along Kinnickinnic, especially this one. That giant plant clawing at the window for light, those crazy round windows, and all the embellishments give it such character.

A few weeks back, Melissa and I went to the beautiful Villa Terrace.

Melissa and I took a day trip to Burlington Wisconsin, a nice quiet town. We found a beautiful vintage Jantzen swimsuit for Melissa. One of our planned destinations was the SciFi Cafe. It was interesting to say the least, but the sign caught my eye. If you are ever in the area, get a Burger at Fred's.

Went to see Spoon at the Riverside Theater to rock in the New Year. Good friends and a good show, who could ask for more?
