If not, type in a terminal:<br /><br /><span style="font-family:times new roman;">sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics</span><br /><br />Make sure the file <span style="font-style: italic;">/etc/X11/xorg.conf</span> presents the following string:<br /><span class="centro"><span class="T3ne"><br /><span style="font-family:times new roman;">Option "SHMConfig" "on"</span></span></span><br /><br />To disable the touchpad, type in a terminal:<br /><br /><span class="centro"><span class="T3ne"><span style="font-family:times new roman;">synclient TouchpadOff=1</span><br /><br /></span></span>The touchpad will be locked until you type:<br /><br /><span class="centro"><span class="T3ne"><span style="font-family: times new roman;">synclient TouchpadOff=0</span><br /><br />Good, but </span></span> it's boring repeat these commands every time.
