Today we look at the style of my brother, Elliot. I have taught him well over the years, and now he is making fashion decisions without my help and doing a great job. He loves his tees, Levi's and Sperry's. He keeps it basic on the bottom with Levi jean pants and shorts with Sperry's or Tom's. Where he adds his style is in his tops. He loves shopping at Top Shop, H&M, Joe Fresh and online. But its not just the clothing, he has a couple of pairs of sunglasses he wears all the time and a collection of watches he's obsessed about. So men, don't be afraid, keep your basics but add in some unique, cool pieces that show who you really are. And don't forget to accessorize!

My deepest apologies for the delayed blog entries. The site I used to design my Silhouettes changed their features, I lost my markers and sketch book, and was losing some inspiration. Plus my work schedule was insane these past months. But I'm back... still can't find my markers and sketch book though :( but I will do with what I have. So here is the first of many blog entries. I don't usually post my purchases but I had to share this latest one. Zebra heels. Just stunning. Reminds me of the Daffy Louboutins. Can't wait to wear them. Move over leopard print, zebra is the newest animal print in town.

What I like about each look:

I love the mix of a suit blazer with the stripped top and khaki pants. Its a good mix of casual and dressy.

I love this spin on a work outfit. Not the typical dark trousers and button down shirt. Add a knit sweater, pop of colour in the tie and lighten the trousers... and yes you can wear khaki pants in the winter. Rolled up sleeves is key too!

Classic suit. Very sexy. Here they have added colour in the right way... solid pink socks. I hate wacky patterns in multi colours.

Grey suits and pocket squares... love

It may be simple to dress up in a suit.. not much to it. But to look great in a casual look may take a little more effort. I love every part of this outfit. From the baseball cap to the light jeans and pop of colour everywhere. I think caps are a great accessory. Just keep it classic, simple style and colours. For example, the navy Yankees cap is a great classic cap to wear and will pretty much match every outfit.

For New Years Eve or a fun holiday party, try to keep it in one colour family and do a monochromatic look. Here are 3 examples for you. Maybe stay away from all black. It doesn't create as much drama as a neutral shade or vibrant colour. And yes, you can wear white or ivory for the holiday party. I don't like following rules. Do what you want and what you feel comfortable in! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

DIY: Bedazzled Blackberry Case

My project.. To bedazzle my blackberry case. Here's how you can do the same.

Step 1: Purchase a clear case for your phone

It is best to use a clear case that snaps on to your phone (I could only find this fading colour case and worked it into my design). Make sure the case is a hard case no silicon or else the jewels will fall off.

Step 2: Pick a design and your jewels

I love Jolee's Jewels which you can buy at Michael's. They are swarovski crystals and come in many different colours and sizes. Try to buy a mix of sizes.

Step 3: Other tools required

A toothpick, crazy glue, and sticky tack.

Step 4: Glueing on the jewels

The best way to glue the jewels on is by using the toothpick with a round piece of sticky tack at the end. Tack on a jewel with the shiny side up so that the flat back is exposed to add the glue to. Stick it on the case and twist the toothpick to help release the tack from the jewel. You will get the hang of it after a couple of tries. Make sure before you begin glueing, you have a game plan. In my design, I did the spots for the animal print first and then filled in with a lighter colour. You can also start from the top down.

My Croquis Silhouette - American Inspiration

I was in Chicago this past weekend to visit my friend and my favourite city. While I was there I found alot of inspiration and laughter. I bought this amazing sketch book with model silhouettes on it already. Got me so excited. I drew these looks in the car home. Each piece of clothing has a story.

Look #1- This outfit was inspired by a Levi's store we visited. The model had on a pair of corduroy jeans in a neutral tone and a light jean shirt. My friends bought these gorgeous Steve Madden boots that I tried to recreate in the drawing. And the necklace was something we saw at Nordstrom that cost about $128. And of course the new hot Louis Vuitton speedy bag with a strap. Genius idea! I think I need another one. lol

Look #2 - I bought these great navy trousers from forever21. One of my friends bought an american flag tee with some half naked girl on it. I decided to include only the flag in my drawing. And the weather was so nice this weekend, us girls were all about the jean jackets. Don't forget the Steve Madden wedges I purchased too!

Celebrity Style- Kourtney Kardashian & Mason

So if you watch KUWTK, you know the one with the best style is always Mason. So I wanted to highlight some of his looks and obviously the one who makes him that cute, mommy Kourt. She loves her short shorts and skirts to show over her amazing legs.

Mason is a little man. Its like they took men's clothing and shrunk to his size. Love the coloured suspenders, rolled shirt sleeves and burberry scarf. I'm sure we'll see lots of him in Kim & Kourt Take on NYC season 2.
