On Friday the 13th of April 2012, Alan and Erica were lucky enough to interview Emilie Autumn in London. This was the penultimate show of the 2012 UK Fight Like A Girl tour, and we got some great insight into the show, her plans for a full production stage show, and possible movie plans after that.

We also talked about The Devil’s Carnival, in which she plays the Painted Doll. Listen to the interview to hear all about it!

The show was incredible, as we had expected. As Emilie said in the interview, it’s much more about setting the stage for the planned stage production. The set is laid out to represent an asylum with the fences and bars locking the inmates (patients) inside. The songs are presented in a way to tell a story more than before. And finally, the performances by Emilie, Veronica, Contessa, and Captain Maggot are superb. Each lending their own little piece of insanity and individuality to make this a show worth seeing.

We’ll definitely be seeing the stage show when it’s launched next year!
