The annual charity soccer game, Soccer Aid, is typically a fun affair for celebrities in England. But this year’s charity match saw Will Ferrell leave the field in considerable pain with a leg injury. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay had to be carted off the field and taken to the hospital after a heavy hit by Teddy Sheringham.

The NY Post reports that the “Hell’s Kitchen” star had to be given oxygen on the field. He was then placed on a stretcher and carried off the pitch.

After he was released from the hospital, Ramsay posted on Twitter:

“Thx [thanks] 4 all the messages…. Out of hospital after receiving amazing care from medics at ground & hospital. Bit sore but fine.”

Ferrell and Ramsay were teammates during the charity soccer game. The two played alongside Gerard Butler, Woody Harrelson, Mike Myers, and Edward Norton on the Rest of the World team.  Ferrell, Ransay, and the rest of the team were not match, however for the Three Lions team, comprised of UK celebrities. Three Lions won the match 3-1.

But regardless of the actual score, both teams helped raise more than $6.4 million for children’s charity UNICEF.

Kim Kardashian reportedly had some “sentimental” items stolen from her luggage this weekend.

The reality star took to Twitter to accuse British Airways of rummaging through her luggage and stealing a few personal items.

Kardashian tweeted:

“Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage & taking some special items of mine! Some things are sentimental & not replaceable. What happened to the days when you could lock your bags! We need to get back to that. There’s no sense of security & no trust! Shame on you.”

Kardashian didn’t say exactly what was taken from her luggage. A British Airways spokesman said that the airline was looking into the claims.

The NY Daily News reports that Kardashian was in the U.K. last week to promote her new perfume “True Reflection.” She also traveled to see her new boyfriend, Kanye West, at the Cannes Film Festival. Kardashian walked the red carpet with Kanye West before the premiere of his new film installment “Cruel Summer.”

We recently reported that Justin Bieber allegedly attacked a paparazzi and now it looks like a bit of foreshadowing for that event occurred recently after Justin Bieber took boxing lessons from Mike Tyson just one week earlier.

Bieber hit the heavy bag with Tyson and after that meeting Mike Tyson tweeted the picture shown above with the tweet:

“Me, @johnny and @justinbieber before we started training JB”

Following his training session Bieber on Sunday allegedly got into as scuffle with a paparazzi in Calabasas, police were called and the photog was eventually taken to the hospital to be observed. Justin Bieber was in the area with girlfriend Selena Gomez and the couple took off before the police could arrive.

While the paparazzi member was taken by ambulance to the hospital a witness says they were told to do so by a lawyer who happened to be on the scene at the time of the attack. The lawyer also told the paparazzi to file a proper police report. ‘

Bieber met with Mike Tyson last week when he was in Las Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards.

Apparently Justin Bieber picked up some of Mike Tyson’s anger issues, in his fit of rage he lost one of his shoes and his hat, it wasn’t until Selena Gomez pulled him away from the photog that Bieber finally calmed down.

With this violent event it looks like it is officially time for Justin Bieber to lose his good boy vibe, it was only a matter of time.

According to TMZ, Kenya’s estranged husband and former NBA hooper Charlie Bell is suing the reality TV star, claiming he’s been low on cash ever since the league dropped him last year.

Charlie, a former Golden State Warriors guard who now plays overseas in the Italian Basketball League, says his IBL money is nowhere near the coin Kenya is pulling in, and thus, it’s her turn to take care of him.

TMZ reports that Charlie — who reportedly has over $1,000,000 in the bank — is “only” making $100,000 a year now, while Kenya makes three times that amount on “Basketball Wives” in addition to sales from her recently released single Fly.

In response to her estranged husband’s suit and demands, Kenya Bell has denied that she earns $300,000 on the VH1 show and shot back that she is entitled to a piece of Charlie’s reported million dollar savings.

Basketball Wives season 4 finale airs tonight (May 28) at 8pm on VH1.

Viewers can then tune in on June 4 and June 11 to catch the two-part Basketball Wives Reunion Special to see what the cast of the show has been up to since the cameras stopped rolling.

Despite rumors that the reality series was being cancelled after this season, Gloria Govan, one of the show’s lead stars, recently tweeted that filming for Season 5 of Basketball Wives has already begun.

Want to be buried in a tomb built for the king? Elvis Presley’s original crypt is going up for sale.

The NY Daily News reports that Elvis Presley was originally buried next to his mother inside a granite and marble mausoleum at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. A few months later, the King and his mother were taken to Elvis’ home in Graceland to be re-buried.

The crypt at the Forest Hill Cemetery has been empty ever since. But now, the King’s crypt is going up for sale.

Celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien will be selling the King’s crypt to the highest bidder at the end of June. The sale will be part of the “Music Icons” auction which will start on June 23rd.

Julien told the NY Times:

“I just consider that if you’re an ultimate fan of Elvis Presley, it’s an opportunity. It’s definitely a conversation piece. Only one person can say, ‘Hey, I’m going to be buried where Elvis Presley was.’”

The sale will include Elvis Presley’s original crypt, the opening and closing of the vault for burial, a committal service at the chapel, and a memorialization inscription. Funeral home charges, however, are not included.

The starting price for the auction is listed at $100,000.

Michael Haneke’s Amour claimed the ultimate prize at the Cannes Film Festival, bagging his second “Best Picture” Palme d’Or in three years and setting a new record. His first Palme awarded for The White Ribbon back in 2009.

Amour - a restrained but devastating pax de deux between an elderly couple (played by Emmanuelle Riva and Jean-Louis Trintignant) coping with the catastrophic effects of a stroke, and the love that meets it – was the consensus film of choice, with an ovation to match.

But it was the only verdict that fell in line with critics’ predictions.

The exclusion of Leos Carax’s Holy Motors – the shape-shifting, arm-pit licking, Denis Lavant starrer – elicited a shrill chorus from the many that expected it to at least place somewhere.

Robert Koehler, film critic contributor at Variety and other outlets, thundered “I won’t go as far as some colleagues in calling it the worst Cannes awards ever, but nothing for Carax’[s] Holy Motors is an outrage.”

David Fear, film critic at Time Out NY quipped, “Sorry I came home early [and] missed pitchfork/torch-carrying mob of crix storming Croisette, demanding Holy Motors satisfaction.”

The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw tweeted “It’s the right decision at Cannes 2012, but sad for Leos Carax and Sergei Lotznitsa, unjustly passed over…”

Hollywood Reporter’s take on the Carax shut out was that the film, “divided partisans and naysayers more sharply than any other film; this is not a work to inspire compromise among critics or jurors … a major prize for it would have created a small furor.”

At the press conference that followed the closing ceremony, jury president Nanni Moretti said, “None of the prizes given tonight were awarded unanimously” adding, “I noticed that some filmmakers were in love with their own style rather than with their characters.”

Moving on. Other awards handed out were not nearly as divisive, though there were still some upsets among them.

Notably, “Grand Prix” winner, Matteo Garrone’s Reality – in which a Neapolitan chancer and fishmonger (Aniello Arena) desire to become a contestant on Big Brother, then finds his own reality altering as a result – had lurked at bottom end of the critics’ polls in Cannes, but found favor with the jury.

Carlos Reygadas’s “Best Director” win for Post Tenebras Lux, dismayed many who considered Jacques Audiard’s Rust and Bones and/or Carax’s Holy Motors as more deserving contenders.

Beyond the Hills – a fact-inspired story about the exorcism of a young woman attempting to rescue a childhood friend (now a nun) from a monastery – scored big, winning “Best Screenplay” for its director Cristian Mungiu and a joint “Best Actress “Award for its leads – Cristina Flutur and Cosmina Stratan.

Many critics expected either Marion Cotillard (Rust and Bone) or Emmanuelle Riva to win for their performances. But it was not to be.

The award for “Best Actor” went to Mads Mikkelsen for his role as a primary school teacher falsely accused of sexually abusing a young girl in Thomas Vinterberg’s The Hunt.  Though considered a worthy honoree, many critics expressed shock that Denis Lavant’s electrifying, 11 character turn in Leos Carax’s Holy Motors received no recognition.

More popular results saw the “The Jury Prize” awarded went to Ken Loach’s The Angels’ Share.

Benh Zeitlin came away with the “Camera d’Or” for the critically acclaimed Beasts of the Southern Wild, which played in the Un Certain Regard category and won the international critics’ prize.

The “Short Film Palme d’Or” went to Reznan Yesilbas’ Sessiz-Be Deng/ Silent.

Excluding the “Camera d’Or” – awarded for Best First Film, and the only award won by an American – all remaining U.S titles were left out in the cold.

These were: John Hillcoat’s prohibition thriller Lawless, Andrew Dominik’s Killing Them Softly, Walter Salles’s On the Road, Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom, Jeff Nichols’ Mud starring Matthew McConaughey and Reece Witherspoon; and Lee Daniels’ The Paperboy.

It’s worth noting that critics considered Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, Scoot McNairy, Paul Giamatti, Nicole Kidman, Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Matthew McConaughey, delivered impressive performances in their respective films.

Similarly, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund, all of whom featured heavily in U.S and international coverage of the festival – they can certainly view their Cannes experience as a success. Both Stewart’s and Hedlund’s performances in On the Road were described by many critics as terrific.

And although some media outlets are reporting that David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, a North American/ European title, starring Robert Pattinson, Juliet Binoche, Paul Giamatti and Sarah Gadon, received lower end mixed reviews. In fact the majority of critics praised the Don DeLillo adaptation (many were left wanting a second viewing), and hailed Pattinson’s performance as excellent.

With the exception of U.S director’s Benh Zeitlin’s win and ambivalently received films The Paperboy, Mud and Lawless –  the lack of prizes at the festival for North American titles is unlikely to hinder their appeal internationally.

As Reuters reports “What the strong North American presence did do, however, was put stars on the red carpet, a key ingredient to success at a film festival which thrives not only on high-brow cinema but also on glamour, fame and celebrity buzz.”

Madonna is ready for her MDNA world tour. The pop singer landed in Israel this weekend to prepare for the first show of her 2012 world tour in Tel Aviv.

Madonna will be playing over 80 shows this Summer across Europe and the Americas. The World Tour starts in Israel, the singer will then travel to Dubai, Rome, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdan, and several other European cities before coming to North America for shows in Boston, New York,  and Chicago. Several Canadian shows are also planed.

Madonna will then play a string of shows in South America before heading to Australia, where she hasn’t performed in over two decades.

This is Madonna’s first major world tour since her “Sticky and Sweet” tour in 2008. Madonna performed in Israel during the “Sticky and Sweet” tour and has also made several personal visits to the city.

Madonna isn’t Jewish but she does follow the Jewish mystic discipline of Kabbalah. The Associated Press reports that Madonna has also adopted the Hebrew name Esther. When she arrived in Israel this weekend, the local media reported that ”Queen Esther has arrived.”

The AFP reports that Madonna landed in Israel several days before her show so that she could visit some of sacred landmarks. During the “Sticky and Sweet” tour, she met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Madonna’s set list isn’t known, but it is rumored that she will sing a mash-up of her classic “Express Yourself” with Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.”

“Born This Way” has been called a rip-off of “Express Yourself.” Madonna has even commented on the similarities between the two songs.

“Sex And The City” star Cynthia Nixon walked down the aisle this weekend with her longtime partner Christine Marinoni.

The wedding took place in New York, where gay marriage has been legal for a little over a year.

Nixon’s rep told People Magazine‘:

“On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York. Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera.”

Nixon and Marinoni got engaged during a rally in support of same-sex marriage in 2009. At the time, same-sex marriage was not legal in New York, which is part of the reason why Nixon and Marinoni had such a long engagement.

Nixon, however, said that she didn’t mind waiting. The “Sex and the City Star” said:

“I’m enjoying being engaged very much. I don’t mind a long engagement, which this one is surely turning out to be.”

The couple has been together since 2004.

People Magazine reports that Nixon, 46, and Marinoni, 45, already have a son together. Nixon also has two other children from her previous relationship with Danny Mozes.

For couples in a hurry to end their marriage, there is apparently a new option: a 48-hour, weekend getaway divorce at a high-end hotel. And the “Divorce Hotel” could be coming to American television.

The Divorce Hotel is the brainchild of Dutch entrepreneur Jim Halfens, who currently offers the all-inclusive quickie divorce  service in six hotels in the Netherlands but wants to bring it to the U.K., Italy, Germany, and New York and Los Angeles.

He is also apparently negotiating with two American television production companies to film Divorce Hotel (are you surprised?) as a reality show.

According to the New York Times, it works like this: “Check in on Friday, married. Then, with the help of mediators and independent lawyers, check out on Sunday, divorce papers in hand, all for a flat fee.”

If a couple is accepted for the program, the free ranges from $3,500 to $10,000 depending on how complicated your divorce happens to be.

Halfens’ website explains that “we work with a fixed team of professionals, including: lawyers, real estate agents, civil-law notaries, tax lawyers and company valuators.”

Although any divorce can have a huge emotional toll, the Divorce Hotel concept would seem to only work in a relatively straightforward “friendly divorce” with relatively few contested issues that could be settled during a weekend vacation.

If the couple doesn’t see eye to over  dividing up the marital assets or child custody, for example, they would have to go the traditional route which could take months or even years and run up large legal bills.  Moreover, U.S. laws differ from state to state about community property and other legal issues.

On the other hand, many divorcing couples opt for mediation or arbitration because of the long wait to get a trial date in family court. The role of a divorce mediator is to facilitate the discussion between the two spouses by assisting with communication and to offer suggestions to help resolve differences.

Halfens told the Times that his staff screens couples to make sure they have a willingness to submit their divorce to mediation: “If the couple is bickering or barely speaking to each other, or if greed or vengeance seems to be a motivation, the couple is rejected.”

Cooler heads rarely prevail on reality TV. But a television executive negotiating with Halfens claims that the Divorce Hotel reality show could air this fall on an as-yet unnamed network.

Is the Divorce Hotel, if it is ever filmed, yet another excuse for couples to embarrass and humiliate themselves on national TV?  In the alternative, would you allow your quickie divorce to be shown on television if the producers were picking up the tab for the legal fees?

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel celebrated their engagement with a swanky celeb-packed party on Saturday.

The couple, who have been engaged since Timberlake popped the question in December, got together with 100 family members and friends, including Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Trace Ayala, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi and Amy Adams.

The party took place at the Californian house of interior designer Estee Stanley, Timberlake’s HomeMint collaborator. A source at the shindig told Us Magazine:

“Jessica and Justin were mingling both separately and together throughout the party. Jessica seems to be very close with Justin’s friends and vice versa. You can see that they have been dating for a long time and really know each others friends and family well. The party was a fun celebration and a preview of what’s to come with the wedding.”

According to the insider, Timberlake rocked a black suit and fedora, while Biel, 30, wore a leopard-print halter dress with hot pink shoes and a belt. The party mole told Us:

“Justin and Jessica arrived at the party looking very excited. Jessica was stunning in a long dress with her hair down. Estee created a very warm, welcoming and festive party for the couple. The guests were served gourmet appetizers by Wolfgang Puck Catering along with wine and champagne and enjoyed live music before a DJ took over to play popular hits from the likes of Usher, Madonna and Michael Jackson.”

The magazine’s insider said the couple enjoyed dancing and a range of speeches from guests, before leaving at an eminently sensible time of 12.30am.

Police want to question Justin Bieber, girlfriend Selena Gomez and any witnesses they can find after a paparazzi was allegedly attacked by the “boyfriend” singer.

According to a Sunday police report Bieber was allegedly involved in some type of physical altercation which erupted between Bieber and the photographer.

The incident allegedly occurred at a Calabasas mall called The Commons. 

After the alleged incident the photog called 911, by the time police arrived Bieber and Gomez had already left the scene of the crime.

The photographer then complained of chest pain to his upper torso at which time an ambulance was called to take the photographer to the hospital where he was examined and then released shortly after arriving.

The official police report named Justin Bieber as the culprit which would bring with it a misdemeanor battery charge if he was found guilty of the crime.

According to a GossipCenter snoop:

“Los Angeles County paramedics arrived at the Calabasas Commons with the Fire Department and Police arriving moments later following Justin’s altercation with a paparazzo. Justin’s bodyguard [also] arrived while the photographer received medical attention for an apparent strike to the face.”

As of Sunday night Justin Bieber’s representatives were not commenting on the situation.

One thing is for certain, something in the picture shown above at the scene of the alleged crime had Justin Bieber reeling. Maybe the photog said something bad about Selena Gomez or maybe he thought Bieber had a single hair out of place.

Justin Bieber v. Joustin’ Beaver? Bieber’s legal bout with the mobile app that clearly cashes in on his likeness, and the company’s counter-suit against every 12-year-old girl’s favorite singer, might actually end up in Bieber’s favor on a technicality. The problem? The mobile app company filed its own lawsuit in the wrong state, and now Biebs wants it thrown out entirely.

Bieber’s back-and-forth with RC3 started with Bieber’s demand that the game be pulled ASAP, due to its infringement upon the singer’s likeness. RC3 claims that the game is a parody, placing it under the comfy protection of the U.S. Constitution. But Biebs wants the suit tossed since RC3 filed their counter-suit against him in Florida… a state that Bieber doesn’t live in, reports TMZ.

Though the judge hasn’t yet ruled, it seems to be a clean-cut case for the Boyfriend singer. Gather called the technicality ” so stupid, it’s funny,” opining that, “even a novice attorney should have known enough to check this out.”

If the judge goes with Bieber’s request, the suit will be thrown out, and the melee between the singer and RC3 will pretty much be over in favor of the Biebs. Soon to follow will likely be the demise of “Joustin’ Beaver”, the mobile game at the center of all this controversy.

I’m not really a Bieber fan, but I have to admit. Pretty slick thinkin’ on the little guy’s part.

The jury at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival has just announced the winner of the prestigious Palme d’Or. Michael Haneke’s “Amour” took home the top prize this year. Heneke’s previous film, “The White Ribbon,” won the Palme d’Or in 2009, making Heneke the second director to win the Cannes Film Festival’s to award for back-to-back films.

In a short acceptance speech, Heneke said:

“Thanks to my wonderful actors. They are the essence of it.”

The film tells the story of an elderly couple after one of them has a stroke. Jean-Louis Trintignant and Emmanuel Riva, who played the film’s two main characters, were singled out by jury president Nanni Moretti as she handed out the award.

Movie critic Emanuel Levy writes:

“Intensely intimate drama for two sharply observed characters, superlatively played by Trintignant and Emmanuelle Riva, Haneke’s Love contests personal and societal definitions of love, marriage, aging, illnes, and dying.”

The Wrap reports that “Amour” will be released in the United States by Sony Pictures Classics.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher may have called it quits but a recent 60-second public embrace in front of the rabbi who wed them has some Hollywood analysts wondering if they might be on the mend.

The party was being thrown for the former couple’s rabbi and one party attendee told the Sunday Mirror that Demi Moore stared at Ashton Kutcher “like a love-struck puppy.”

Later in the night Ashton gave a speech in which he told the audience:

“I’ve made all these horrendous mistakes in the last year.

The source then says:

“Ashton’s voice started to break as he spoke. He just fell into tears. He sat down to a round of applause while Demi just looked ­frozen.”

While this was a very public meeting between the potential soon-to-be ex-husband and ex-wife, it is not the first time they have met since announcing their separattion, according to an unidentified source at Radar:

“Whether it be to divorce, or if there is a journey to travel together … they both feel it’s important to have spiritual guidance accomplish it. Everything is to play at this stage.”

You may recall that after Demi Moore was hospitalized earlier in the year Ashton Kutcher who had recently separated from his wife did not make mention of her condition or wish her well, leading some people to speculate that their divorce was finalized and they would likely avoid each other in the future.

Recently Demi Moore changed her Twitter name from @MrsKutcher to @justdemi, enough of a change for many fans to call the couples relationship officially over.

Men in Black 3 raked in $55 million over the three-day weekend with a $70 million four-day total, falling short of Sony’s hopes for a $75 million to $80 million four-day box office. While US grosses fell short of expectations the movie was fueled by strong outings in Russia and Asia. MIB3 ended with a $132 million take in 106 markets, reaching No. 1 in 104 of those markets.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that the Memorial Day box office is down 32 percent from the same period in 2011 when The Hangover II and Kung Fu Panda 2 both debuted.

The soft opening for MIB III comes after action star Will Smith took a four year hiatus from the big screen, the action flick features Will Smith, Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones while MIB veteran Barry Sonnenfeld returned to direct.

While numbers were soft for the franchise Sony was quick to point out that  Men in Black grossed $84.1 million over six-days in July 1997 while Men in Black II took in $87.2 million in July 2002 after five-days, numbers that should be passed or tied by MIB III over the next several days.

The organization and singer are being sued by TD Bank which claims the loan was taken out in June 2011 while Blige’s charity only offered one principal payment of $368.33.

TD Bank says in the lawsuit that they demanded payment in writing on February 7 and February 29 but never heard back from the charity.

This is not the first time the Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now has had issues, in 2010 the organization failed to filed a federal tax return and it is currently being sued by various musicians who appeared at a fundraising gala in 2011 but were then refused their performance payments.

When asked about the organizations issues a representative for Mary J. Blige told TMZ:

“The Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation For The Advancement Of Women Now, Inc. (FFAWN) is presently transitioning its management and headquarters.”

Rather than addressing the organizations issues the rep added:

“We remain committed to our mandate of helping  women gain the confidence and skills necessary to reach their full individual potential.”

In the meantime the organization will now spend thousands of dollars it does not have in order to defend itself against payment lawsuits from banks and musicians.

Amanda Bynes is being accused by yet another driver who claims the movie star slammed into their card on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley on April 10. That victim told police in their official report that the hit and run was performed by Bynes.

According to the victim Amanda Bynes was driving a 5 series BMW and they attempted to follow her following the hit and run, writing down her license plate before she blew a red light to get away. The driver admits that they only had a side profile view of Amanda.

When police ran the licence plate they found out it was a rental car from Enterprise rentals. The victim contacted Enterprise and a representative told her the car had been rented by Bynes.

After the victim showed up at the police state she identified Amanda Bynes from a photo lineup, that photo was Amanda’s mug shot from her DUI arrest which had happened just 4 days earlier when Bynes was stopped in April 6 after hitting a police officers cruiser.

Luckily for Amanda Bynes the L.A. City Attorney’s Office has rejected the hit and run because no other witnesses were able to pin the hit and run on Amanda as the vehicles driver.

This is not the first time Amanda has been accused of a hit and run, a similar incident occurred in early May when she allegedly hit another vehicle in Hollywood and fled in her car. During the Hollywood accident Bynes told police she did not feel the impact and she was never ticketed.

Beyonce gave her first post-baby performance on Friday night at the Revel in Atlantic City. But last night’s performance may have been a little more special as Michelle Obama, Malia, and Sasha were all in attendance.

MSNBC reports that Michelle, who is a huge Beyonce fan, dance along with the crowd to two dozen songs and even sang along with her girls to ”Love on Top.” Earlier this week, Michelle said that she wanted to BE Beyonce.

Michelle said:

“Gosh, if I had some gift, I’d be Beyoncé. I’d be some great singer. The power of music, being able to play an instrument. … It looks like musicians just have the most fun.”

The adulation, however, went both ways. Earlier this month Beyonce penned a letter to Michelle thanking her for being “The ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African-American woman.”

Beyonce said:

“I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.”

Beyonce played several of her own hits during the Revel show in Atlantic City, but she also paid tribute to several other singers. Beyonce sang Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor,” and gave Donna Summer a shout-out during “Naughty Girl.”

There’s only one SP12 EC Ferarri in the world and it’s owned by Eric Clapton.

The company unveiled the custom one-off car today that was designed specifically for the legendary guitarist (SP12 EC = special project car, number 12, Eric Clapton).

Torque News reports that Clapton has been a long time Ferrari fan and owns several luxury rides. The custom SP12 EC, which was designed by Pininfarina and Maranello’s engineers in conjunction with the  Ferrari Style Center, pays tribute to one of Clapton’s favorite Ferraris; the 1970s 512BB.

Ferrari wrote in a statement:

“The world-famous guitar player has been attached to one particular Ferrari model: the 512 BB, of which he has owned three over the years. So his desire was to drive a car inspired by this model, with influences from the multi-award winning 458 Italia.”

Clapton crashed, and was almost killed in a Ferrari 512BB. The wrecked car was also featured inside the booklet of his album “Slowhand.”

Clapton, who was involved with the design, said that working on the project was like “being in front of a gigantic blank canvas that had to be painted on.” Clapton also said that it was “an incredible experience, one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done.”

The car has an estimated value of $4.75 million. That price, however, would likely skyrocket if it ever went to auction since it’s a one-off design owned by a legendary musician.

With all the reports about Britney Spears being a diva on “The X Factor,” you’d think that the world was rooting against her. The pop star can rest easy, however, knowing that her fiance Jason Trawick is “very proud of her.”

Trawick sent Spears a sweet video message after the singer’s first couple of days working on “The X Factor.”

Trawick said:

“Princess, we just completed our first weekend in Austin on X Factor. Just wanted to say I’m very proud of you and I love you so much. Congratulations.”

Spears posted the video on Facebook and wrote: “Awww love you too Xoxo.”

Spears saw her first round of auditions earlier this week in Austin, Texas. Reports from the set claimed that the singer had stormed off the set after a contestant poorly sang one of her songs, but both Spears and Simon Cowell came out to dispel the rumor.

Cowell said:

“There was no walking off. We have breaks every 5 or 6 songs. You can go have a cigarette, you can go to the loo. So as soon as anyone left their chairs, it was reported…that someone had left the show—and they hadn’t!”

Lady Gaga won’t be playing in Indonesia. The pop singer canceled her Indonesian show after receiving several violent threats.

Minola Sebayang, a lawyer for concert promoter Big Daddy, said:

“With threats if the concert goes ahead, Lady Gaga’s side is calling off the concert… This is not only about Lady Gaga’s security, but extends to those who will be watching her.”

Several groups, including the Islamic Defenders Front, have been protesting Lady Gaga over her risque attire and inappropriate stage show. The group said that it purchased several tickets so that they could hold a demonstration at the show and force Gaga off stage.

Murhali Barda, a spokesman for the Islamic Defenders Front, said:

 ”We have gotten Lady Gaga tickets, not to watch but for us to enter…. Our target is to stop the concert. We would force them off the stage but not harm the audience.

Gaga’s world tour has been marred by protests. Shows in South Korea were restricted to an 18 and over crowd and the show in Jakarta was initially cancelled by the government. It was later decided that Gaga would be able to play if she agreed to tone down the show. Gaga, however, refused, and the IDF decided to purchase tickets to the show in order to force its cancellation.

Salim Alatas, a leader of the Islamic Defenders Front, said:

“This is a victory for Indonesian Muslims. Thanks to God for protecting us from a kind of devil.”

USA Today reports that the Jakarta show would have been the biggest show of Lady Gaga’s Asian tour as 52,000 tickets were sold (some to protesters). All tickets will be fully refunded.

UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste was arrested today in Las Vegas on domestic battery charges.

Celeste, real name Arianny Lopez, was brought in to the Clark County Detention Center at around 7:30 this morning. She was released later on $3000 bond. Celeste has not commented on her arrest yet.

UFC president Dana White told TMZ:

“Arianny is our baby. She has been with us for over five years. She is a good girl and an amazing ambassador for UFC. I don’t know all the details of what happened but we have her back and support her 100%.”

MMA Weekly reports that Arianny Celeste has been a ring card girl with the UFC since 2006. The 26-year-old was scheduled to work tonight’s UFC 146 in Las Vegas but due to her recent arrest she will not be attending the event.

In addition to working with the UFC, Celeste, 26, has posed for Maxim, FHM, Sports Illustrated and Playboy.

Bleacher Report notes that Arianny is the second person connected to the UFC to run into legal trouble in the last few weeks. Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was arrested for drunk driver earlier this month.

Ashley Benson is the latest celebrity to express an interest in the movie adaptation of “50 Shades of Grey,” a book based on the popular “Twilight” series.

The book evolved from a “Twilight” fanfiction, leading many fans to hope that Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart would play leading characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, according to The Huffington Post.

Stewart, however, was barely able to read a paragraph of the book on MTV, when Josh Horowitz asked her to read an excerpt. She also stated that:

“I haven’t read the book yet — so I don’t know.”

Ashley Benson, the 22-year-old “Pretty Liars” star is trying to break away from her “good girl” persona, by working on edgy films like ”Spring Breakers,” according to CeleBuzz. Benson told the site exclusively that:

“I’ve read every book. I want to play Anastasia…Kate is awesome. I like all the characters but Anastasia? I love her so much!”

Other stars who have expressed interest in the film, which The Huffington Post reports could become the next “Twilight” have include “Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder. According to The Huffington Post, Somerhalder told Ryan Seacrest that he would love to play the part of Christian Grey. He stated:

“It could be very, very amazing. I have the book and I just started reading it. That would be a pretty incredible thing, and hopefully that could pan out. Beyond the shadow of a doubt, I think that would be a phenomenal opportunity!”

Alexander Skarsgard, who plays a sexy vampire on “True Blood” would also love to play Grey who, according to the book, has an estate that includes a “red room of pain.” The Huffington Post reports that Skarsgard stated during a press junket for new film “Battleship”:

“Where do I sign? He’s got a sex chamber? My character [Eric Northman] has that on ‘True Blood.’ He’s got his little dungeon. I was born to play that part.”

When Robert Pattinson signed on to star in David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis” the actor took a big step away from being the heartthrob of the “Twilight” franchise. But new rumors have surfaced that Pattinson could soon find his way into another frenzy of teenage fans by joining the cast of “The Hunger Games.”

When Lionsgate was asked about Pattinson starring in the sequel to the hugely popular movie, the company released a statement, saying:

 ”As with the first film, we won’t be confirming, denying on any casting rumors for this title.”

They didn’t confirm the rumor, but they didn’t shoot it down either.

Unfortunately for “Hunger Games” fans, Pattinson addressed the rumors himself during the Cannes film festival. Pattinson said that he initially believed the rumors but his agent said that they weren’t true.

Pattinson said:

 ”I woke up this morning and saw all these things about me being cast in The Hunger Games. I was kind of curious for a second. So I called my agent. My agent was like, ‘No. No one’s going to offer you that part.’ I was like, ‘Thanks for the reassurance.’”

Pattinson has received impressive reviews for his work in “Cosmopolis” and it’s likely that he’ll move on to more adult roles after the final “Twilight” movie hits theaters later this year.

On Sunday, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s first biological baby, will celebrate her sixth birthday.

Shiloh was born on May 27, 2006 at the Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital in Swakopmund, Namibia. Since Shiloh’s birth, Jolie has had two other children, Knox and Vivienne, and the celebrity couple have also adopted three children; Maddox, Pax, and Zahara.

Jeff Goldblum has been granted a restraining order against a woman that he claims has been stalking him since 2001.

Goldblum’s attorneys chased and obtained a restraining order against 49-year-old Linda Ransom after she repeatedly invaded the actor’s home up to three times this month. Goldblum also claims that she constantly followed him in public and showed up at several of his stage performances in New York City and Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

Ransom previously had a stay-away order against her back in 2007, which has since expired. Police claim that Ransom swears she will not stop attempting to see Goldblum unless a restraining order is put out against her. Ransom has been arrested three times for violating previous restraining orders, and was first reported to authorities by Goldblum after she attended one of his acting classes and then patiently waited outside of his home, reports HuffPo.

“Over the past decade, I have experienced substantial emotional distress due to Ms. Ransom’s continuous stalking, harassing, and threatening behavior,” Goldblum wrote in a sworn court declaration, adding, “I am frightened of Ms. Ransom and feel she poses a serious threat to my personal safety.”

Goldblum originally filed for a restraining order against Ransom back in 2010, after the latter was released from a mental institution. The judge denied his request, saying that Ransom needed to prove herself a threat again before any such order would be granted.

Ransom was not available for comment.

On June 12th, a judge will decide whether or not to upgrade Goldblum’s restraining order to the 3-year level.

Before hopping on stage Beyonce told the NY Post:

“It is exciting. I’m a little nervous, though… It’s like going back to my old job. It’s a little strange. But it’s important that you don’t lose yourself and you still have your own passions. I’m back to work. I’m back to business.”

Beyonce will get rid of all those nervous feelings this weekend as she’s scheduled to play three more shows at the Revel. According to her husband Jay-Z, Beyonce’s performance last night was one of the best of her career.

Jay Z said:

“I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine. BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.

Entertainment blogger Miss Jia agreed:

“I swear I’ve just witnessed the best concert ever.”

Beyonce worked her way through an impressive list of songs. She sang newer material like “Halo” and old classics like Destiny’s Child’s “Jumpin’ Jumpin’” Beyonce also sang a rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” and Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor.”

Jonny Lee Miller took a few cues from his new job as TV’s Sherlock Holmes and used those “skills” to do some crime fighting of his own.

Miller, who will portray the fictional super-sleuth in CBS’s upcoming series Elementary, grabbed a boost of confidence from the role and used it to root out injustice wherever it may rear its ugly head. In Los Angeles, Friday, evil worked its most insidious practice at Miller’s mailbox. Yes. Miller encountered a mail thief. Miller discovered the thief messing with his mailbox and subsequently chased him down, reports TMZ.

Miller is highly trained -to act like he fights crime, anyway – but nonetheless confronted the thief, exchanged a few nasty words, and entered a melee with the thief when the latter just wouldn’t stop trying to steal mail from other people. Miller called on Holmes’ history of bare-knuckle boxing proficiency and exchanged blows with the thief, apparently having either such a dramatic advantage (or severe disadvantage) that he was able to call 911 in the midst of the scuffle. Miller kept the thief busy until the police arrived and arrested him.

So settles the case of the purloined letters. Okay, that’s a Poe reference, but it’s still detective fiction, damn it!

Miller is probably best known on film for roles in 1996 films Hackers with ex-wife Jolie and Trainspotting with Ewan McGregor. Walter Cronkite is known to many as “the most trusted man in America” for his CBS News broadcasts, which began in 1962.

A new biography about the late news anchor, however, has the public viewing him in a completely different manner. Reports have surfaced in Douglas Brinkley’s “Cronkite” biography, which allege, according to The Christian Post, that:

“Unbeknownst to the millions who tuned in religiously to the CBS Evening News, Walter Cronkite cut a deal with Pan Am to fly his family to vacation spots around the world.”

The Huffington Post reports that this kind of freebie would not be allowed in news organizations now, who have very heavy restrictions on the number of gifts their journalists are allowed to accept. For example, The New York Times company policy states that:

“Staff members and those on assignment for us may not accept anything that could be construed as a payment for favorable coverage or for avoiding unfavorable coverage. They may not accept gifts, tickets, discounts, reimbursements or other benefits from individuals or organizations covered (or likely to be covered) by their newsroom.”

In yet another questionable move, The Daily Beast reports that Walter Cronkite met privately with Robert Kennedy, encouraging him to run for president. He then later went on air with Kennedy in an exclusive interview, discussing those plans to run for president.

The Daily Beast‘s Howard Kurtz writes that:

“I am shaking my head at the spectacle of a network anchor secretly urging a politician to mount a White House campaign—and then interviewing him about that very question. This was duplicitous, a major breach of trust.”

Douglas Brinkley writes in his book though that:

“Nobody wanted to go after Walter Cronkite…he became a force of nature. He could almost dictate anything he wanted. He was the franchise.”

The Christian Post reports that Kurtz also stated:

“Had Cronkite engaged in some of the same questionable conduct today- he secretly bugged a committee room at the 1952 GOP convention- he would have been bashed by the blogs, pilloried by the pundits, and quite possibly ousted by his employer.”

The book also alleges that Walter Cronkite took part in misleading editing of interview footage from Vietnam, and also gave misleading coverage of some political campaigns.

In a 911 call obtained by TMZ, Jameson, 38, can be heard crying “I’m Jenna Jameson” in the background while an unnamed witness talks to the operator about the accident.

“I was actually getting ready to call you guys because she was drunk,” the unidentified female caller explains to the 911 operator. “Next thing I know she went into the pole.” When the caller asked Jenna whether she needed paramedics, she replied, “No, I just want to go.”

ABC News reports that police arrived on the scene shortly after the crash and administered a field sobriety test to Jameson, which she failed. The reality TV star was then booked before being released.

A statement has since been issued by her official website saying that Jameson is home and well but has no immediate comment on the subject.

Will Smith may have a lot of work ahead of him with the release of Men in Black 3, but his focus is still on his children–which is another challenge altogether, he says.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Smith says that he finds it difficult to “emotionally manage” his children. Smith has two children, Jaden, 13, an Willow, 11, with wife Jada Pinkett Smith–and to manage both of them, Smith says he and his wife are constantly talking about what’s best for the kids.

“Willow had a huge record called Whip My Hair and then she just cuts all her hair off and I have to [say], ‘Ah, your mother says I am OK with that sweetie.’”

Raising children is difficult enough without each one having careers of their own, but the most difficult thing, Smith says, is managing Jaden and Willow “emotionally.”

“Y’know the most difficult part of the whole thing is emotional management,” Will said. “Jada and I have been talking a lot about whether you pull back during the teenage years because they are very formative years for Willow.”

Still, Smith is still content to give Willow a little direction. Although she was interested in pursuing other interests, Will says that he managed to keep her focused on her musical career, which is already off to a good start.

“She’s been supporting Justin Bieber on tour, saw a Russian ballerina and was riveted. She was like, ‘I wanna go home and take ballet.’ No honey, you’ve got to settle more tour dates. So now she is way gone on ballet,” Smith added.

Neon Limelight describes the video by saying:

“It’s raining sexiness in the music video for Chris Brown‘s new single, “Sweet Love.” In the just-released clip for the sultry slow jam, Breezy, who directed the clip himself, plays a sexy game of hide-and-seek-in-the-sheets with one lucky lady, becomes the naughty dreamweaver to a few more ladies, and busts more than a few smooth moves while shirtless, all before taking it back to the bedroom to make some sweet love.”

The Hollywood Gossip gives a “fun fact” after the video, stating:

“While Chris walked and sang through the lot’s NYC streets, a production crew set up a flying structure to levitate three models. None of them were assaulted in the process.”

The new video, released on Friday, preludes his fifth upcoming album “Fortune,” which is set to be released on July 3rd in the U.S. The song “Sweet Love” was produced by  Polow Da Don and Jason “JP” Perry, according to KOVideo, and follows the success of his last single “Turn Up the Music,” which was released earlier this year.

Less than 24 hours after word surfaced that Sheen placed the winning $230,000 bid for LT’s valuable hardware, the troubled actor insisted that he had not made the purchase.

“RE: Lawrence Taylor’s Ring: As much as I would be honored to own such an important artifact… I had nothing to do with the acquisition,” Sheen posted on his Twitter account Friday.

While SCP Auctions declined to reveal the winner of the ring, they did reveal the seller was none other than Taylor’s son, Lawrence Taylor Jr.

Fox Sports reported last week that LT’s agent Mark Lepselter said the linebacker did not know his son had put the ring up for auction but was “fine” with his decision to sell it.

Although he didn’t buy LT’s ring, Fox points out that Sheen, who is an avid sports fan, has a history of spending money on sports memorabilia.

Besides owning Babe Ruth’s 1927 World Series ring and the contract of Ruth’s sale from the Red Sox to the Yankees, the former Two and a Half Men star also purchased the infamous ball that scooted between the legs of Red Sox first basemen Bill Buckner in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series for $93,000 before unloading it for $64,000 in 2000.

The same ball fetched $418,250 at auction earlier this month.

Wilmer Valderrama is in hot water with one of his neighbors, who is suing him for partying too often and causing too much noise.

Valderrama, the former “70s Show” star, has reportedly been throwing parties at all hours of the day (and night) for years, and TMZ reports that next door neighbor Baruch Eichenbaum has had enough of the noise.

The lawsuit was filed in the L.A. County Superior Court, and where the Eichenbaum states he has been bothered by “ongoing and continuing loud and disturbing noises from the property.”

Eichenbaum also claims that he has contacted an animal control organization multiple times after hearing barking dogs at Wilmer Valderrama’s Los Angeles home. The claim, filed on May 22nd, also details issues with the tv star, which date back to 2007, according to E! News.

Baruch alleges that he has called the actor and sent him letters on multiple occasions, to no resolution. E! News reports that Eichenbaum stated:

“The frequent loud and disturbing noise has continued.”

He also complains that work done on a guest house at Valderrama’s property resulted in his yard and garage being flooded in 2011, but the actor did not stop. E! News also writes that:

“The plaintiff is claiming mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering and asking for both monetary damages and a permanent injunction that will prohibit Valderrama, his staff and whoever else comes to the house from making noise ‘sufficiently loud to disturb [Eichenbaum's] comfortable enjoyment of his property.’ He also wants an injunction to prevent the actor-producer from doing stuff in his yard that will result in water flowing into the plaintiff’s yard.”

Kim Zolciak decided to show her love for her NFL husband Kroy Bierman by wearing his Atlanta Falcons jersey. Well, sort of. Actually she had it painted on her nude body.

In her new Bravo show, Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star decided to surprise Bierman (then, merely her fiance) by wearing his colors. 34-year-old Zolciak had 26-year-old Bierman’s Falcons jersey painted onto her body, and then photographed the getup. She also filmed it for her show, which follows her as she prepares for her wedding to the NFL star. On why she chose to bare it all for this sexy stunt, Zolciak said, “I want it to incorporate Kroy’s jersey and have it painted on my body. To me that is sexy,” adding that the body paint is way better than “tacky lingerie.”

Ironically, Zolciak’s only real question was one of decency. “How are you going to cover my nipples?” she asked her make-up artist, who was preparing the paint. “I have gum drops or raisins, what are you?” she retorts, holding up a variety of nipple petals.

The stunt served mostly as a distraction while Zolciak was planning a stressful wedding. “I am finding it a little hard being sexy with all this stress going on with the wedding,” she says. “I was so excited to do this photoshoot for Kroy, but with all this wedding stuff, the photoshoot is the last thing on my mind.” Regardless, she found a moment of confidence during the shoot, admitting, “But I am looking so damn sexy… I just say cheese,” while striking seductive poses.

Zolciak is still very much in the honeymoon phase with her new husband. She’s currently pregnant with the couple’s first child, and already has two daughters from a previous marriage. Though Zolciak is reluctant to keep having more kids, she hasn’t completely ruled out filling out the couple’s family, saying, “I definitely am not looking to have 20 [kids]. … But I can’t keep my hands off my husband.”

Teen Mom‘s Amber Portwood is headed to prison to serve her five years. Again. But this time it’s for keeps. No more second chances for the troubled reality starlet.

Let us track the (lack of) progress of Teen Mom‘s Amber Portwood. In January, she was handed a five-year prison sentence for drug possession. She was arrested several more times after that, and was given numerous chances to stop acting like a brat and straighten herself out. After it looked like redemption wasn’t going to stick, the courts came down hard on Portwood for various contempt of court charges. But then, the judge had a change of heart, and gave her one last chance to finish her court appointed drug program in order to avoid jail time. Let the record now show that the 22-year-old Anderson, Indiana native willingly chose a five-year prison sentence over her drug rehabilitation program.

Let that sink in.

According to TMZ, it went like this. Portwood appeared in court Thursday and admitted to the judge that she hasn’t stayed off drugs since starting her rehabilitation program. She also admitted that she doesn’t plan on avoiding drugs in the future. She called herself a “bad girl”, and that she wanted out of the drug program she hates so much ASAP. Her lawyer, shocked by her admittance, merely shook his head as she confessed.

She’s currently in Madison County jail, where she’ll wait for her sentencing.

Fellow Teen Mom Jenelle Evans sounded off on the matter, attempting to comfort Portwood’s ex, Gary Shirley, tweeting: “@ItsGaryTime dont stress it Gary about amber. No offense but that was ambers choice not wanting to get clean and she could of done it. I did”

Portwood’s brother Shawn told E!Online that it’s the system’s problem, saying, “the system failed her, and that’s all I can say.”

“She does not deserve to be [in jail] or anything that has happened to her,” he added. “She is there because of who she is.”

If she behaves, Portwood might get out sooner than five years. Either way, we’re guessing this is the last we’ll be hearing about Portwood for a while.

Allman, who was married to singer Cher from 1975 to 1979, sat down on  Piers Morgan Tonight on Tuesday and spilled the beans about his new fiance Shannon Williams, a girl 40 years his junior.

“This time, I am really in love,” the 64-year-old rocker told Morgan.

When 24-year-old Shannon was asked how she felt about becoming Allman’s seventh wife, Gregg quickly intervened, saying:

“That’s not what she’s becoming. She’s becoming wife number one. I don’t have a wife. Haven’t had one for years.”

Allman, who reportedly met Shannon earlier this year in Florida, added that this marriage will be the lasting one because of true “love,” something that he gave to his previous wives, but never received in return.

“They didn’t reciprocate,” he said.

The Washington Post reports that little is known about Gregg Allman’s latest wife-to-be, other than she entered the rock pioneer’s life after a liver transplant and a run of health difficulties.

As for his previous six wives, Allman shares all the details of their relationships in his new memoir My Cross to Bear, which is available now in bookstores and online. The book also discusses other topics such as his relationship with Cher, who Allman is quoted as saying had an unforgettable scent.

“‘God, she smelled like I would imagine a mermaid would smell… I’ll never forget that scent.’”

Reports were circulating yesterday that Bethanny Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy were headed for divorce, and that the two had already met with divorce lawyers. However, it looks like those reports may be false.

A source close to Frankel told Huffington Post that the reports aren’t true, and that the couple are committed to making their relationship work.

Huffington Post’s “Naughty But Nice” Rob reports:

“‘They are still together and want to make this relationship work,’ a friend of Frankel told me. Frankel, who was recently seen enjoying dinner with her Skinnygirl business partner Matt Hesse at Philippe Chow’s swanky Philippe restaurant in New York City, left many wondering if the they were also hooking up privately.”

The source went on to say that hooking up privately isn’t Frankel’s “style,” and that if the former Real Housewives of New York wanted to leave Jason for Matt, she would. “She is honest to a fault and has no problem saying exactly what she wants, including when it comes to her marriage,” the source said.

Yesterday, a report from RadarOnline said that a divorce was “imminent” for Frankel and Hoppy, and that Frankel had an “iron clad” pre-nup.

“Bethenny wasn’t going to get married without a prenup, to protect both herself and Jason,” a source told the site. “Bethenny has watched plenty of her friends over the years get divorced and has always vowed to never end up dependent on a man for financial stability or security.

Newly appointed judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato had their first day of filming on “The X-Factor” yesterday and according to some reports, things were a little dramatic. Britney Spears reportedly walked off the set after a contestant sang one of her songs.

Spears, however, says that the rumors are exaggerated.

The singer wrote on Twitter:

“#Britneywalksoff???LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!”

Before they started taping, Spears said that she showed up to the set early and was still waiting for Simon Cowell. Spears said:

 “Just arrived for @TheXFactorUSA auditions – hope everyone is ready! Still waiting on @SimonCowell of course….”

The LA Times reports that the incident was overblown. According to a source close to production, Spears and the rest of the judges took a break between singers and Spears was a little late getting back to the set.

Spears missed a singer or two on her first day, but the star tweeted that she was surprised by how much talent they found in Texas. Spears said:

 “Texas has a lot of talent – seriously! Loving @TheXFactorUSA auditions so far”

Abdul said:

Keira Knightley is engaged! The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star is set to wed musician James Righton.

Knightley’s publicist confirmed the engagement but did not give any details about the proposal or the wedding plans. The representative said: “I can confirm that Keira is engaged to be married to James Righton.”

Yahoo reports that Knightley previously dated actors Jamie Dornan and Rupert Friend. She started dating Righton, the keyboardist for indie rock brand Klaxons, last year.

Knightley is best known for her work in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, but the actress has won critical acclaim for roles far away from pirate ships. In 2005, Knightley was nominated for an Oscar for “Pride and Prejudice.” She just completed filming “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and will star as the title character in Anna Karenina.

Righton has also been keeping busy. Righton, who won the Mercury Music Prize along with the rest of the Klaxons for their debut album Myths of the Near Future, is currently working on new album.

It’s one of the most anticipated films at the Cannes Film Festival this year. And today, the metaphorical limo in town belongs to Robert Pattinson, leading man in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis.

Smiling broadly at a morning photo call, Pattinson and co-stars Emily Hampshire, Sarah Gadon, Paul Giamatti, author Don DeLillo, producers Paulo Branco and Martin Katz -and, of course – Cronenberg, looked more than ready for a day of pressers and the red carpet premiere to come.

A early press screening was packed to the rafters, Film Festival News tweeting “Cosmopolis has the most buzz & people hunting for tickets I’ve seen/heard for any one film at [Cannes] this year”.

But, of course, the biggest question was: what did the critics make of it? As The Independent’s Jonathan Romney put it, “will it be a joyride or will we wish Robert Pattinson had taken the subway?”

Positive reviews from several European magazines have already surfaced in the last two weeks. But today is the acid test. Festival favorites for the Palme d’Or (so far) – Amour, Rust and Bone, Beyond The Hills, The Hunt and In The Fog, with the exception of Holy Motors – have been richly, emotional films about personally, tortuous circumstances.

Cosmopolis - with its grand themes of death, capitalism, emotional dysfunction, technology at the expense of relationship, sex, time, power, powerlessness and global chaos – takes a much more clinical look at the human condition. In a world where paranoia and terror are personified by a young billionaire’s surreal, 24 hour descent into an imploding Manhattan: How would that play?

Well, first wave reactions have been something of a revelation. Working negative to positive, here’s a snapshot:

The title of Richard Corliss’s curiously, personalized Time Entertainment review - “Pretty Boy”- perhaps speaks for itself.

Brian Johnson, film critic at Maclean’s and President of the Toronto Film Critics Association, tweeted this verdict: “Just saw Cosmopolis. Hyper-verbal yet claustro quiet. Crash-less, cork-lined existentialism. Pattinson more undead than in Twilight.“ [Johnson's subsequent review.]

The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw said “Cosmopolis [is] stilted, self-important and fantastically shallow”, (reviewing it in much the same vein), while Screen Daily’s Lee Marshall noted Pattinson as “fine in the main part” concluding the film was “just too slow and too talky.” A criticism echoed by Jeffrey Wells.

Dismissing Pattinson as “underwhelming” Eric Kohn lamented Cosmopolis’ ”experimental nature” as a fatal hindrance to the film’s commercial prospects.” A later review by Glenn Heath Jr allowed for more than monetary concerns. Movies on Virgin Media said it was “fascinating & dull in almost equal measure but it may well be Robert Pattinson’s best performance to date.”

Raffi Asdourian balked at what he called “a perfunctory adaptation” but adds Pattinson’s “solid, ennui-filled performance” is “substantive and reminiscent of Christian Bale in American Pyscho.”

It got better.

Anna Smith said Pattinson was a “good fit for Cronenberg’s cold, weird Cosmopolis”. France 24′s Eve Jackson said she was “left feeling numb by Cosmopolis” but thought Pattinson was “excellent.” [Jackson's memo may not have reached everyone at France 24 as a later article reckoned the actor failed to "deliver."]

Hitfix’s Guy Lodge summed ”This is the richest, wittiest, most stimulating material Cronenberg has had to work with in a decade [but] it will take further viewing [to] decide if the finished film, briskly paced and unapologetically talky as it is, quite makes good on the opportunity”. Though noting Pattinson’s screen presence as “compelling”, Lodge thought this was only evidenced when the ‘action’ sited in the limo.

Vulture’s assessed Pattinson as “able to convey a whole lot about his Cosmopolis character simply with a curdled sneer and a soul-sick gaze,” giving the actor extra points for “delivering the tricky DeLillo dialogue.”

Time Out’s Dave Calhoun took issue with Cosmopolis’ “wordiness”, but commended the “end-of-days menace running through the film”, singling out Pattinson’s “commanding, sympathetic portrait of a man being consumed by his own vanity and power.”

Eric Vespe at Ain’t It Cool admitted struggling with the rhythm of the film’s dialogue initially but said once he did, he was “captivated”. And, just as others have written about the vestigal effects of Cosmopolis, Vespe writes “ The more distance I get from the movie, the more I like it.”

Then, much better.

AVclub’s Mike D’Angelo comments, “the more abstract and overtly stylized Cosmopolis is, the more it thrills.”

Jonathan Romney said he was “mesmerized”. Peter Howell declared it “a blockbuster of the mind, fascinating as much for what Cronenberg shows us as for what he doesn’t show.” [His review]. Jake Howell writes “Didn’t get the good movie chills very often during [Cosmopolis] but as I reflect they’re coming in waves. Bravo.”

In a later review, Howell offers more reflection on Cosmopolis’ ”juicy critiques of society” and – refreshingly – says “Robert Pattinson’s Eric Packer solidifies what some critics have suspected for a while now: the dude is more than a perfectly-chiseled face.”

Before the screening, Maxim Barrault tweeted “The question is: has Leo’s Carax’s Holy Motors taken the wind out of David Cronenberg and Robert Pattinson’s Cosmopolis[?].”Less than 2 hours later, Barrault answered his own question, saying,“I think I heard whistles from the cheap seats upstairs but I no longer care. I enjoyed every crazy self-important minute of Cosmopolis.”

Sight and Sound said “Cosmopolis fascinates to the end”, Seminowicz emoting “Cosmopolis is like falling into shattering icecubes. Afterwards you feel alive.”

In his review, MSN’s James Rocchi in what seems like a backhanded compliment said, “if you’re casting for a dead-eyed shark wreathed in unearned privilege, Pattinson turns out to be a pretty good choice”. Then he rates the film 4 out of 5 and you realize he’s actually saying Pattinson interpreted Packer perfectly.

David Fear at Time Out NY wrote, “Cosmopolis nails DeLillo’s voice, great match of filmmaker & material” [later review]. Nadia Neophytou noted Pattinson’s “steely cool”, and a mesmerized Michal Oleszczyk called it “this year’s Margin Call for the philosophical-minded set.”

NYT’s Manohla Dargis praised Cronenberg’s lensing and the ”performance from Mr. Pattinson that perfectly works for the movie’s sepulchral air.”

Then, rapture.

Slant Magazine’s Budd Wilkins saw a “cold yet frenzied techno-downer, Cronenberg films DeLillo’s postmodern Ulysses as profoundly perverse successor to [Videodrome]”. Wilkins’ later review describing the film as “diamond-hard and dazzlingly brilliant.”

Telegraph critic Robbie Collin, praised it as “talky but terrific, with a steely, sinuous turn from Pattinson. Chillingly current too.” [Collins's later review].

Becky Reed, Ed at Thisisfakediy raved “Robert Pattinson is a bit bloody brilliant in Cosmopolis. As in, I couldn’t have imagined another actor his age topping that performance.”

Indiewire’s Simon Abrams hailed the film’s “insanely rich and maddeningly complex” scenarios, a “triumph.” [Abrams is mentioned again below.]

Empire Online came out swinging, declaring “[Pattinson] has the chops”, and “nails a difficult part almost perfectly, recalling those great words of advice from West Side Story: You wanna live in this crazy world? Play it cool.”

For Ryan Lattanzio, the film is Cronenberg’s “best work since A History of Violence“, bristling with “energy, ideas and confidence.” There was kudos too for Pattinson’s “cold, unfeeling, sexy” performance.

Variety’s Justin Chang lauds Cronenberg’s *coolly corrosive allegory” of a technologically fixated, corrupted world,  spotlighting Pattinson’s performance as “excellent”. Then, goes one better, proclaiming the Brit actor an “indispensable asset.”

Catherine Bray, editor of Film4 Online enthused ”Cosmopolis‬ film of Cannes‬ for me.Extraordinary psychological and sensual immersion in the psychosis of capitalism; Pattinson brilliant.” Bray’s later review defining it as a “coming together of source, director and star with a relevance that rarely occurs in cinema.”

Rolling Stone (Italy) showered adjectives and a 5/5 rating, crowning it “a masterpiece.”

Little White Lies called Pattinson’s Eric Packer “magnetic. [This] is his best performance to date by some considerable margin. Yes, even better than Remember Me”, while Simon Abrams demanded that the jury “give ‘em the Palme! A.”

A sentiment echoed by The Guardian’s Xan Brooks, rhapsodizing that he was “blown away by Cosmopolis at Cannes. A film of cool, diamond brilliance. Perfectly fitted, a tale for the times. Note to jurors: this one.” [a video review followed].

Filmoria‘s forensically detailed, yet oddly moving review identified Pattinson as “the film’s true driving force”. For Chris Haydon, “everything Cosmopolis desires to express” came from the “utterly fearless, audacious and sizzling performance” Pattinson gave.

For a film weighed with so much expectation differences of opinion are only to be expected. By far the majority of critics were agreed on one thing: Together, with an outstanding supporting cast, Cronenberg and Pattinson not only met the challenge of realizing DeLillo’s presciently, accurate worldvision – they exceeded it. Palme d’Or or not, that achievement stands.

The New York Jets are making their new quarterback feel right at home. Tim Tebow, an outspoken Christian who is saying no to sex until marriage, was playfully ridiculed by his new teammates after practice yesterday. The Jets chanted LoLo as Tebow entered the locker room, referencing Lolo Jones, an Olympic athlete who recently revealed that she was also a virgin. 

Kevin Armstrong wrote on Twitter:

“For the track/Lolo Jones junkies: When Tebow entered locker room today, several Jets players started chanting, “Lolo! Lolo!”

After Lolo Jones revealed that she was still a virgin on HBO’s Real Sports, track and football fans immediately started calling for the track star to meet the Jets quarterback. After the Lolo chants, Jones wrote on Twitter:

“Ask Tebow if he wants a glass of milk. If he says yes, ask him if he prefers chocolate. if he says no, then no more Tebow date suggestions.”

Jones, who frequently uses Twitter, has defended her recent statements over the last couple of days. Some have called her a hypocrite for posing nearly nude in ESPN’s body issue. Jones responded:

“Go to a museum & look at naked pictures/statues of ppl & its considered art but what I did is not? u see no parts exposed… Ryan hall is another christian. He’s done missions in africa & posed in latest issue. Shall u judge him as well? John 8:7.”

And in response to TMZ making fun of her for being a virgin, she wrote:

“I’ve seen Celebs get teased less for releasing a sex tapes.”

Michelle Obama recently received a handwritten fan mail letter from superstar performer Beyonce and as it turns out the First Lady is actually a big fan of the new celebrity momma.

When a reporter from  People magazine recently asked Michelle Obama who she would choose to be if she had her choice the First Lady responded:

“Gosh, if I had some gift, I’d be Beyoncé. I’d be some great singer.”

She then added:

“The power of music, being able to play an instrument. … It looks like musicians just have the most fun.”

Beyonce is constantly ranked at the top of power lists in magazines, newspapers and other publications, she just had a healthy baby, she’s well respected by others in her industry and she is uber rich, so that choice completely makes sense.

So about that letter Beyonce wrote to Michelle Obama, apparently in part of it she wrote:

After receiving the letter from Beyonce the First Lady took to Twitter where she told the singer that she was the true model for her children and now it looks like the true role model for Michelle herself.

Both women are hard working, strong people who don’t back down from their convictions, so perhaps inspiring each other makes complete sense in this situation.

Ted Kaczynski is a member of Harvard’s 1962 class. He’s also the Unabomber. Needless to say, Harvard alumni were surprised to see an update on Kaczynskyi in the school’s latest directory.

Kaczynski apparently mailed in the update himself and the Harvard University’s alumni association published without a second though. The group has since apologized for including the Unabomber’s entry in the directory list.

Harvard Alumni Association said in a statement:

“While all members of the class who submit entries are included, we regret publishing Kaczynski’s references to his convictions and apologize for any distress that it may have caused others.”

Yahoo reports that the directory was sent out in preparation for the 1962 class’ 50th reunion. Kaczynski’s occupation was listed as “prisoner.” Under awards, he wrote ”8 life sentences.”

Some people from Harvard’s 62 class found the entry humorous, like Gary Peterson, who admitted that Ted is ”more famous than anyone else in our class.”

David Gelernter, who lost a hand and an eye during one of the Unabomber’s attacks, wasn’t laughing.

Gelernter said:

“It’s very chilling. He’s an unrepentant terrorist murderer who cut people, and slashed people to death in their kitchens, leaving them to bleed, while he hid in a shack somewhere in the West. For some institution to lend authority to him, well, I can’t believe such things happen in the United States.”

Kaczynski was convicted in 1993 for killing three people and injuring dozens more during his three decade long mail bombing spree.

According to Taste of Country’s website, the 3-time Grammy-winner has partnered with the charity Operation Homefront and Chase to donate 25 mortgage-free houses — one for each stop on his upcoming “Brothers of the Sun” tour with Kenny Chesney — to wounded or needy service members. Fox News writes that the Academy of Country Music’s ACM Lifting Live program and The Premier Group have also made contributions.

“My sister’s a veteran, my uncle’s a veteran, my grandfather was a veteran, one of my best friends is a veteran,” McGraw said in an interview with Fox. “I’ve known people my whole life who are in service to America. And I think in my position to be able to do something like that is probably the ultimate thing. So to be able to go on tour and provide sort of a stable foundation for a veteran and their family is something I really look forward to.”

While the Brothers of the Sun tour doesn’t officially begin until June 2nd in Tampa, FL,  McGraw and Chesney are headed to New York City to perform a special Memorial Day concert for the service men and women in the city for the annual Fleet Week celebration.

The special show, sponsored by Chase and the USO, will take place at the historic Beacon Theatre and will streamed live via YouTube. The first mortgage-free home will be given away during the event.

“It’s going to be a great opportunity to set a family on track that’s done so much for us and my family,” McGraw said. “So I can’t imagine a better thing to do on tour. It’s going to be fun – I mean every tour date we’re going to be out there.”

Besides the YouTube stream, military members will also able to watch the show through the Pegtagon Channel website.

Charlie Sheen never played professional football, but he may own a Super Bowl ring. Lawrence Taylor, who put his ring up for sale last week, may have to visit the sit of “Anger Management” if he wants to see his ring again.

MSNBC reports that the ring was purchased for $230,401. There’s no official word that Sheen purchased the ring but according to Jay Glazer, the ring is likely around Sheen’s finger.

Taylor and his agent, Mark Lepselter, were reportedly told last night that the ring was purchased by Sheen. Neither the auction house, nor Sheen, have commented on the whereabouts of the Super Bowl ring.

Glazer writes on Twitter:

“Got no idea if this is true but if is it’s hilarious. Lawrence Taylor & his agent Mark Lepselter were told last night (that the) winning bidder for LT’s Super Bowl Ring was none other than Charlie Sheen!!!”

MSNBC reports that Sheen has purchased several pieces of sports memorabilia in the past and it wouldn’t be out of character for him to spend a few hundred thousand dollars on a Super Bowl ring. Sheen also apparently owns Babe Ruth’s 1927 World Series ring and Ruth’s contract with the Yankees.

Usher has seen his better days. This week the singer has been in and out of an Atlanta court fighting with his ex wife Tameka Foster for custody of his children. Now, Tameka has made claims in court that Usher, 33,  slept with her bridesmaid Maya Fox Davis.

Usher being accused of sleeping with a bridesmaid is just one of several allegations that the singer had pinned on him in court over the last few weeks. This particular reveal came out during cross examination, when Foster’s lawyer revealed his ex had said she “discovered” the two in bed. However, the singer’s lawyer objected to the statement and said it had nothing to do with the case.

The singer testified against ex wife Tameka Foster, accusing her of spitting on his girlfriend and throwing food at him during an argument. Usher said of the fight, “Of course, I tried my hardest to prevent the situation from escalating…but (Tameka) continued to swing, spit, at this point she had pulled the door open and began to pull Ms. Miguel (the girlfriend.” added the singer.  Seeing Usher dating has been tough for Foster, 40,  who also claims that he’s never around his children, having said, “If he’s gone for months at a time and comes back traipsing in with his girlfriend, it was embarrassing.”

Earlier in the week Usher broke down in court and cried over  allegations that he’s an unfit father, with Foster claiming that he’s done drugs around their children Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.  As of right now Foster is seeking full custody of their two children, and Usher is requesting to up his visitation rights.

The R&B singer filed for divorce in 2009 after citing that they were living separately for over a year, only lasting a year as husband and wife.

Working with Robert Pattinson clearly agrees with David Cronenberg as they are set to team up again on another film.

In a recent interview with popular French magazine InRockuptibles [translation via @RPLife], Pattinson said:

“I’m filming another movie with Cronenberg but I don’t know when he wants to start filming. It will be his first shoot in the United States and he promises it’s going to be very strange. The next two or three years are going to be crucial for me. It’s now that everything happens.”

Rumoured to be the Map To The Stars project Cronenberg has been mulling since 2006, as yet no definite details about this new film have been confirmed.

Like many auteurs – think Woody Allen and Diane Keaton, or Scorcese and De Niro – Cronenberg established a similar successful relationship with Viggo Mortensen, working with him on multiple films.

Mortensen first worked with Cronenberg in A History of Violence (2005), then two years later on Eastern Promises (earning Mortensen an Academy nomination), and more recently A Dangerous Method (2011).

When it was first announced that Cronenberg had offered the lead in Cosmopolis to Pattinson after Colin Farrell pulled out, many thought it an unlikely pairing – even sacrilege.

Luckily, Cronenberg took absolutely no notice and has since spoken many times about how highly he rates the Brit actor.

If Cosmopolis is anything to go by – and from the look of the trailers and teaser, it is – this could be the start of a seriously, productive relationship between this not-so-odd-couple-after-all.

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips has more than his Idol trophy and record contract to be thankful for. He also has his health!

People caught up with Phillip Phillips’ father, also named Phillip Phillips, at the Ford sponsored Idol finale party to talk about the reigning champion’s condition that had the folk singer under the weather for the whole duration of the show.

What’s surprising is just how ill Phillip Phillips was during his time on Idol, going under the knife eight times to rid his kidneys of impacted stones. According to the singer’s father he wasn’t at his 100 percent best during his time on the show. “They’ve just seen a glimpse of what Phillip can do. We can’t wait to get him well and 100 percent and really see how he can perform.” Of his Idol win, the elder Phillips says, “I was so proud I could cry.”

Phillip’s illness was somewhat documented on the show when Idol brought to it to attention during one of the rehearsal segments with Jimmy Iovine that he was recovering from kidney surgery. It was also said on the eve before the season finale that the singer turned down emergency surgery in order to perform for his hometown when the Idols returned to honor their locals.

In the coming weeks Phillips will have that emergency surgery that he put off to finish out his Idol season. The surgery will reconstruct his kidneys and give him just enough time to rest up before the American Idol tour kicks off. “The recovery’s probably two to four weeks,” said his father. “He’s healthy, he’s good. His kidneys are good. I can’t wait for America and the whole world to see him [after his surgery], because he’s a big cut-up. He’s going to have some fun.”

When asked about how he got through being ill throughout the whole season, Phillip Phillips said, “It was very tough [getting through the season]. I had great doctors and great people surrounding me [who] really helped out, so it’s just a blessing to be here.”
