We're back and this time it's to discuss Miles Morales, the Spider-Man from Marvel's Ultimate universe and soon to be MAIN Spider-Man of the All-New universe Marvel creates after Secret Wars. We talk about why the character is so significant and was a great move by Marvel. We also talk about what makes him different from Peter Parker and how that's a great thing. Finally, we geek out over the future of the character and how exciting its going to be to see him in the new universe(The first panel in Avengers with Kamala Khan/Miles Morales is going to be amazing).

No it's not a mistake. This Comic Book Book Club is a non-premium episode so everyone can enjoy it. Kriss and Dpalm talk about the first 22 issues of Transformers More Than Meets The Eye. This is a must read series for any fan of Transformers. Even if you aren't, it still a great book to read. Despite being about Autobots and Decepticons, the book is very dialogue heavy and really "humanizes" the robots. You see them deal with a lot of real "human" issues like PTSD, love, sacrifice, abandonment, betrayal, etc. The issues are longer than your normal book but it's well worth the read. The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye is an ongoing comic series published by IDW Publishing, starting in January 2012. This series follows the adventures of Rodimus and his team as they travel through space, hunting for the legendary Knights of Cybertron and having adventures along the way. CBBC #5: Fables 1-5 - Legends in Exile

New episode of the Comic Book Book Club. This time we discussed the Fables issues 1-5. We talk about the similarities between the books and the game from Telltales Games, The Wolf Among Us. We discuss the characters of Snow and Bigsby, how much of the motives of the fables are based on their desires to maintain the appearance of their previous status and freedom, Bluebeard and where some of the lesser known fairy tales and children's stories as well as some things we would like to see moving forward if we are going to stick with reading these books.

*Note: I said on the show that Saga or Astonishing X-Men would be the next books up. That was a mistake. The next book is Batman: The Court of Owls...then either Saga or X-Men.
