Police: Jackson Death Could Have Been Homicide or Accidental Overdose

The Los Angeles Police Department has just released a statement with new details about Michael Jackson's death investigation. "The investigation is continuing and we are in cooperation with the Coroner's office. We are waiting for toxicology reports to come out to determine if it will be a homicide or accidental overdose. Michael Jackson's 'Somber' Open-Casket Viewing

A family member of Michael Jackson's is revealing details about the night before the King of Pop's private and public memorials, describing an open-casket viewing of Jackson's body. David Fossett, 50, who is a cousin of Jackson's, described the appearance of the late pop icon, saying: "He looked like himself. He looked like he just was laying there sleeping," Fossett tells People about the Monday night viewing of Jackson's body at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills. "He looked peaceful." Fosset tells People that family members, excluding Jackson's parents, attended the service and "talked to each other and cried." The relatives then headed to the Jackson family home in Encino, Calif. Jackson's cousin, who still lives in the pop icon's hometown of Gary, Indiana, described the night as having a "somber mood." Fosset also revealed to People that Jackson's three children, "Prince" Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7, were crying during the service and consoling one another. Jackson's gold casket was closed during his private memorial service Tuesday, says People.

Patricia Arquette Gets Divorce Dismissed

After filing for divorce from her actor husband Thomas Jane earlier this year, "Medium" star Patricia Arquette has had an apparent change of heart. Court papers indicate that Arquette successfully got the divorce case dismissed and is staying married to Jane, says the Associated Press. The one-page document didn’t specify why she sought the dismissal. The 41-year-old actress filed a request on Tuesday and it received the legal stamp of approval today. Arquette originally filed for divorce from Jane in January, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple has a six-year-old daughter together, Harlow.
