We also detected the damage and apparent loss in the nervous cells that are very important for controlling the body weight,” said Thaler who presented his research in the 93rd annual meeting of The Endocrine Society’s at Boston.

The Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo put his name in the history of La Liga. In the last La Liga jornada of the 2010-2011 Season, Ronaldo broke the record of La Liga goal numbers in a single season.

There were not only one but two goals that are contributed by that most expensive player in the world to help Los Merengues destroys Almeria with 8-1 at Stadio Santiago Bernabeu, Saturday (21/5).

With the goals, Ronaldo broke the previous goal records from the legendary Madrid striker Hugo Sanchez for the season 1989-1990 and the legendary Athletic Bilbao striker Telmo Zarra who booked the record for the season 1959-1960.

Dog Can Detect Cancer

Dog is well-known for its many abilities. But do you know that a dog can detect cancer on human? This fact is already experienced by Carol Witcher, ex-cancer sufferer in the United States. According to Carol, her 8 years old dog kept sniffing at her right breast for four days.

“When my dog started to sniff me, it tried to sniff repeatedly on my right breast. And that didn’t seem good,” said Carol.

After being checked, doctor found three-stage cancer on her breast that must be operated and radiated. She also needs to get chemotherapy. According DR Graham Firmly, cancer can release chemical substance from body through sweat or breath. It can only be smelled by dog, not human.

Now, a team of doctors try to develop cancer detection way through breathing. “From the research that conducted by the team, 75 percent can really differentiate between the patients who suffer from breast cancer and who don’t suffer from it,” said Graham.

The other thing that is also being developed by the team of doctors is training dogs to detect other kind of cancer, like urinary tract. At the beginning of the training process, a dog can sniff correctly as much as 22 times from 54 trials.
