				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://www.theinvisibleclose.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Leadership-300x225.jpg" alt="Leadership" width="300" height="225" align="right" />People often ask me how I created a leadership position for myself and my business in such a short period of time.   </p>
<p>The truth is I stopped trying. In the past, when I was actively <em>trying</em> to be a leader, I kept finding myself the second in command. For many years I supported the person who was leading the organization, the movement, and it <em>was</em> a pleasure. In fact, I thought that’s what I would do for my whole life. Then one day, I was booted out of a supportive position I thought I’d have forever, and I was led to take a look at my own gifts, my own million-dollar value.</p>
<p>Slowly but surely I started getting those gifts out into the world, serving others with them, and not thinking about leadership at all.  Then one day, I turned around and suddenly people were following me.</p>
<p>So I’ve come to the conclusion that the best way to be a leader is to serve with all your heart. Get in touch with your unique blessing, your unique expertise, and then find ways to get your message out and help as many people as you can.  </p>
<p>Do that and leadership will naturally follow.</p>

<p>For example, we know that not everyone is going to be able to show up in Las Vegas next <img alt= ><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2227" alt="May 9.2013 article" src="http://www.theinvisibleclose.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/May-9.2013-article.jpg" width="270" height="187" align="right" />Thursday for our Speak-to-Sell Bootcamp. They may live very far away or have family obligations that prevent them from traveling. They may not have the financial resources to attend the event. And from a mindset perspective, they may not be able to give that gift to themselves quite yet. So to meet those clients where they’re at, we have opened up a <a href="http://www.speaktoselllive.com/">livestream</a>, giving people an opportunity to experience the event from the comfort of their home or office, and at a fraction of the cost of the full ticket plus travel expenses.</p>
<p>When you start to think about it, you’ll find that there are many things that you can do to meet your clients where they are. Here are a few:</p>
<p><strong>Meet them geographically.</strong> Technology is a great way to bridge the geographic gap. As I said in my note, we’ve had people from 27 different countries participating in our livestreams. We also offer teleseminars so that people can dial in from all over the world. CDs, DVDs and webinars are other ways we teach our work without people needing to travel.</p>
<p><strong>Meet them financially.</strong> For people who either don’t have the resources or who are not quite ready to make the financial commitment to themselves so that they always would have the resources, we offer many free peeks into our teachings. <p>And while you do want to meet your clients where they’re at financially by providing an array of options, it’s important to keep giving your ideal clients the opportunity to step up. There is a tight correlation between the level of investment a person makes and the amount of action they take. And, of course, the amount of action they take correlates to the amount of results they enjoy. I call this the Upward Spiral Effect.</p>
<p><strong>Meet their mindset.</strong> People are all in different places around giving themselves the gift of transformation, the gift of growth. The challenge is that many of your clients who are weak in that area are the ones who most need to show up and benefit from your programs. So, again, you want to acknowledge where they are, but also give them what they need so that they can jump over their own internal hurdles and come and get the amazing transformation that you’re offering. Making a very clear, irresistible offer, complete with limiters and incentives is the key.<br />
The bottom line is that you want to serve your clients at the highest level. So, yes, use technology and offer different price points and free peeks, but also inspire and encourage them to stretch beyond where they are so that they can become the persons they are meant to be.</p>

<p>Agents of change come from two places at once:</p>
<p><strong>Agent. </strong>First, they’re agents. They’re like secret agents. They’re on a mission. They have to do what they were put on the planet to do. And they know it. So they’ve actually put some effort into that mission to let it grow and expand.</p>
<p><strong>Change.</strong> Second, they’ve experienced first-hand the power of change, so they are willing to offer that option to people who may not have been planning on changing that day. Those people had just been tooling along in their life, on the surface content with the way they organize themselves or communicate with their partner or their position in their company, and then suddenly an agent of change comes along and opens up the promise for something better, something bigger, a new possibility.</p>
<p>If I have just described you to a tee, you are an agent of change, and you and I are in the same tribe.</p>
<p>I love empowering agents of change with ways to get their work out into the world, open up that sense of possibility for people, and then give those people what they need to say yes to their offers of help.</p>
