Greetings from snowed-in New York City to all of the Enchanted Gypsies, our friends and club family, and all who have joined us since last year's NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES. We are delighted to announce the date and theme for our 21st annual NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES, back for the fourth year at THE HIGHLINE BALLROOM in New York City. NOTS 21: THE WILD HEART will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 and tickets will go on sale on January 15.

This year's lovestruck, Victorian heart-flavored edition is inspired by one of Stevie's early albums - THE WILD HEART - and its title song. The NOTS 21 stage will feature Legends of Stevie Realness from all eras of the show AND brand new talent as we begin our third decade of Total Stevie (Nicks) Realness. Right after New Year's The Jackie Factory will begin assembling the bill and reviewing applications from new performers. If you would like to apply for one of our six new performer's slots for 2011, please email us at events @ jackiefactory.com and we will send you instructions beginning January 3. We will be reviewing submissions through March 1, and will be notifying all new performer applicants during the first week of March.

Our next missive will have lots more details, including first confirmed performers, more about the theme and suggested dress, and box office information. We wanted to get the date out early so you can begin to make plans, and will be back in touch before the box office opens. As always we thank you for your tremendous love and support, and look forward to seeing so many of you on May 6.

NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES is the best-known STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world, a riot of shawls, lace, baby's breath, twirling, tambourines and great performance. This event began at JACKIE 60 in 1991 with four performers, and has grown into a true spectacle, featuring countless interpretations over a marathon night. In 2010, the twentieth edition of NOTS won the coveted GLAMMY AWARD for BEST NIGHTLIFE EVENT - it also inspired the 2001 film GYPSY 83. As always, this Enchanted evening will climax in a twirl of shawls and tambourines with the Battle of a Thousand Stevies near morning.

The pioneering "Cyber/Fetish/Gender-Hacking" party CLICK + DRAG, which ushered out the 20th Century in style and was reborn in 2008, announces its third annual Future-Spectacle for October 9. Two of Click's founding producers - director and visual artist ROB ROTH and nightlife impresario CHI CHI VALENTI of THE JACKIE FACTORY will stage this year's epic CLICK + DRAG 3.2/ AGE OF AQUARIUS at the suitably Aquarian venue SANTOS PARTY HOUSE. CLICK 3.2/ AGE OF AQUARIUS is a two floor, evening-length epic, preserving the night's strict dress code, elaborate installations and stage shows, and pansexual mix of fetishists, artists, gender-hackers and "Glam Nerds."

The Age of Aquarius - the Utopian "New Age" of unity and love - has either begun or is beginning, depending on which astrological sages one believes. Regardless, the Aquarian themes of humanism, peace, rebellion, idealism and philanthropy are already ascending, by way of computer networks and other new tools and in the growing acceptance of non-traditional religions and belief systems. As the brutal, materialistic Age of Pisces draws to an end, values shift towards spiritual rebirth and planetary harmony. To the CLICK + DRAG producers, the Aquarian ideal compliments the neo-tribalism of many Click participants and the mixing of masculine and feminine traits into countless unique new genders, a recurring theme of this spectacular "gathering of the tribes".

With this Utopian brew as inspiration, CLICK + DRAG 3.2 will feature multimedia works directed by ROB ROTH with light shows by SETH KIRBY and BROCK MONROE of the JOSHUA LIGHT SHOW and the contributions of dozens of creative collaborators. Highlights will include performances by neo-burlesque performance artist NARCISSISTER, RUMI OF THE FABULOUS COCKETTES!, vocal she-goddesses AMBER MARTIN and LADY RIZO, neue cabaret troupe THE PIXIE HARLOTS, and Method Go-Go icons including bodybuilder (and Click 3.2 cover girl) ROXANNE EDWARDS and costume cultist FALON. The evening also features costume design by longtime Click couturier GARO SPARO and a futuristic soundtrack that runs the gamut from sixties psychedelia to electro house.

On September 12, JACKIE FACTORY producers CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL will present their fourth annual LOW LIFE to crown the 2010 HOWL! FESTIVAL. LOW LIFE is the free and fabulous Sunday evening climax to HOWL! - a two hour spectacular inspired by East Village decades past. Each year's theme is served up in a lavishly costumed production starring dozens of downtown's finest. This year's LOW LIFE 4: BEAT GIRL pays homage to homegrown fifties beatnik culture and the BOWERY BEATS - the rebel painters, poets and performers drifting east from Greenwich Village. The show also sheds light on the Women of the Beat Generation, often overlooked, and their influence on 50's Burlesque.

LOW LIFE events were inspired by the seminal LUC SANTE book "LOW LIFE: The Lures and Snares of Old New York" and are produced by local performance collective THE JACKIE FACTORY NYC. The annual LOW LIFE extravaganzas at HOWL! continue a body of work born at the seminal Meat Market nightclub JACKIE 60 in 1997, with past editions in London, Minneapolis and of course, the HOWL! THE HOWL! FESTIVAL was named in honor of the groundbreaking poem by ALLEN GINSBERG and began in 2003. HOWL celebrates the East Village and Lower East Side's role as a preeminent locus of culture, with signature events like the group reading of HOWL and ART AROUND THE PARK. Centered in Tompkins Square Park, the festival attracts more than 100,000 visitors to the clubs, galleries, parks, streets, and theaters of Manhattan's Lower East Side. This year's moonlit, milestone edition was inspired by one of Stevie's most enduring and iconic songs, SISTERS OF THE MOON. Though Stevie has not performed this song much of late, it has remained a showpiece and staple of some of NOTS most thrilling performers past and present. Expect a midnight sky lit up by La Nicks' most enduring archetypes and images, including the Nightbird, The Welsh Witch and The Moon Goddess.

This year's bill features Legends of Stevie Realness from all eras of the show, and honors them all, our Sisters (and Brothers) of the Moon.

We are overjoyed to announce the date and theme for our twentieth annual NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES - it is an anniversary that so many of you have helped make possible by your enthusiasm and great support. We are delighted to be returning for our third year to the THE HIGHLINE BALLROOM, truly a most Enchanted venue for this marathon show. Of necessity there will be less debuts this year, but we are still passionate about including at least a handful of new performers. REEFER MADNESS IN THE PARK!

On September 6, JACKIE FACTORY producers CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL will present their third annual LOW LIFE to crown this year's HOWL! FESTIVAL. LOW LIFE is a "Howlucination" created by the JACKIE FACTORY as an evening climax for HOWL! - a two hour theatrical showcasing the East Village - and especially, The Bowery, in a lavishly costumed production starring dozens of downtown's finest. This year's LOW LIFE 3: VIPER MAD - is inspired by the early 20th century "viper" culture shared by downtown (and Harlem) jazzmen and hipsters, the opium dens of nearby Chinatown and other Olde New York drug cultures. The rich repertoire of "Viper Songs" popularized by CAB CALLOWAY, FATS WALLER and dozens of ensembles through the 20s, 30s and 40s will be interpreted in dance numbers, vocal and musical performances, burlesque and drag renderings.

This year's marijuana-tinged edition features two MCs - PAUL ALEXANDER (of "The Ones" and JACKIE 60) with EMPRESS CHI CHI VALENTI, the show's co-producer. The LOW LIFE events were inspired by the seminal LUC SANTE book "LOW LIFE: The Lures and Snares of Old New York." The annual LOW LIFE extravaganzas at HOWL! continue a body of work born at JACKIE 60 over a decade ago, with past editions in London, Minneapolis and of course, the 2007 and 2008 HOWL! Festivals. For the show's producers, East Village residents for over two decades, this annual spectacular is a Valentine to the neighborhood's past, present and future stars.

THE HOWL! FESTIVAL was named in honor of the groundbreaking poem by ALLEN GINSBERG and began in 2002. HOWL celebrates the East Village and Lower East Side's role as a preeminent locus of culture, with signature events like the group reading of HOWL and ART AROUND THE PARK. Centered in Tompkins Square Park, the festival attracts more than 100,000 visitors to the clubs, galleries, parks, streets, and theaters of Manhattan's Lower East Side. The bill for this year's show is now closed, with twenty-five show segments featuring both the timeless stars and new discoveries that make "The Night" so special. Returning Legends of Stevie Realness include NYC Dragstars (and Project Runway supermodels) SHERRY VINE and SWEETIE, perennial NOTS divas THE HO-HOs (CATHY CERVENKA and JILL PANGALLO), AMBER GARBO (Las Vegas), GYPSY WILDE, NOTS 19 cover girl JAZMEN FLOWERS (Mississippi), BILLY O, MISS GUY and GOON SQUAD, CHARLENE CORAN (Colorado), HEATHER LITTEER (aka JESSICA RABBIT DOMINATION), LIZZIE DAVIS (Texas), THE DIVINE GRACE, THE PIXIE HARLOTS, TIFFANEY (of MIRROR IN THE SKY), AMBER RAY, DARLINDA JUST DARLINDA, MISS KELLY WEBB and ADAM JOSEPH. We hope you are warm and enjoying this brand new year, with all its hope and challenges. We are overjoyed to announce the date and theme for the 2009 NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES 19. After so much positive feedback about last year's new venue - THE HIGHLINE BALLROOM - we are happy to be returning there this year. NOTS 19: SONGS OF RHIANNON will be held on Friday, May 1, and tickets will go on sale on February 1.

This year's theme - and the centerpiece of the show - are the ten "SONGS OF RHIANNON" penned by STEVIE NICKS in her BUCKINGHAM NICKS days. Some are well loved and well known, like RHIANNON, PLANETS OF THE UNIVERSE, ANGEL and SORCERER, others are only demos. In stage decor, visuals and costuming, we'll pay homage to the Celtic white witch RHIANNON - fitting for a date that is both MAY DAY and BELTANE.

Our next announcement will have lots more details, including first confirmed performers, more about the theme, and box office information. We wanted to get the date out this weekend so you can begin to make plans, and will be back in touch when the box office opens.

Night of a Thousand Stevies is probably the best-known STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world, a riot of shawls, lace, baby's breath, twirling, tambourines and great performance. This event began at JACKIE 60 nineteen years ago with four performers, and has grown into a true spectacle, featuring countless interpretations over a marathon night. As always, this Enchanted evening will climax in a twirl of shawls and tambourines with the Battle of a Thousand Stevies near morning.

The pioneering "Cyber/Fetish/Gender-Hacking" party CLICK + DRAG, which ushered out the 20th Century in style, returns as a new large-scale annual this Fall. Two of Click's founding producers - director and visual artist ROB ROTH and impresario CHI CHI VALENTI - join with XRIS SMACK! of the long-running SMACK FETISH parties to shape this latest incarnation. The first of their cyber-spectacles, CLICK + DRAG 3.0: THE HALLUCINOGENIC TOREADOR, will be unveiled on November 15 at sympatico venue SANTOS' PARTY HOUSE.

CLICK + DRAG began as the Saturday-night weekly at Valenti's experimental MOTHER nightclub in 1996 and ran for four years in over two hundred themed editions. The new hybrid built on a body of work called INTERJACKIE, evolved by Roth, Valenti and costume/fashion designer KITTY BOOTS at JACKIE 60, beginning in 1994. With the addition of sex journalist ABBY EHMANN, the four producers explored the interface between nightclubs and computers as CLICK + DRAG built a fanatic following. With their rigorously enforced "STRICT CYBER/FETISH DRESS CODE" the producers ensured that only participants were allowed in. The creative collaboration introduced some pioneering aspects to the Nightworld, including Roth's notorious "Bathroom Cam", and also gave birth to THE MOTHERBOARDS NYC, a nocturnal online community.

When MOTHER closed in 2000 due to spiralling costs in its Meat Market neighborhood, Roth, Boots and Ehmann launched CLICK + DRAG 2.0, a monthly edition at FUN. In its new larger format, CLICK + DRAG was thriving until the events of 9/11 shut down Chinatown for many months. Since the last edition of Click 2.0 that Fall, one of the city's most seminal and creative parties disappeared for seven years - though its many tribes stayed connected online.

CLICK + DRAG 3.0 introduces an even larger format on two floors, preserving the night's strict dress code and pansexual mix of fetishists, artists, gender-hackers and "Glam Nerds." This rebooted evening was inspired by the Dali painting "THE HALLUCINOGENIC TOREADOR", cyber-shamanism, the writings of TERENCE MCKENNA, and the new tribalism that brings Click's audience and performers together both online and at large gatherings worldwide.

The event's two floors will feature multimedia works directed by Roth and installations and performances by many collaborators from the two previous iterations. These include 1.0 producer and Burning Man eminence ABBY EHMANN as the "KINK CONTROLLER", DJs JOHANNA CONSTANTINE and SAMMY JO, Minneapolis-based Trans-Star VENUS DE MARS with her band ALL THE PRETTY HORSES and "Method Go-Go" icon FALON. 21st century additions include sensationalist AMBER RAY, glitter-dusted cabaret troupe THE PIXIE HARLOTS, and DJs JOHNNY DYNELL, the "FAERIE DJ POSSE" MALAKAI and ANGELO (San Francisco) and XRIS_SMACK! The bill, dress code and theme is still evolving - look for full information and box office by mid-October.

HOWLUCINATION '08: LOW LIFE CITY was inspired by the seminal LUC SANTE book "LOW LIFE: The Lures and Snares of Old New York." It continues a body of work born at JACKIE 60 a decade ago, with past editions in London, Minneapolis and of course, last year's HOWL! For the show's producers, East Village residents for over two decades, this annual show is a Valentine to the neighborhood's past, present and future stars.

THE HOWL! FESTIVAL was named in honor of the groundbreaking poem by ALLEN GINSBERG and began in 2002. HOWL celebrates the East Village and Lower East Side's role as a preeminent locus of culture, with signature events like the group reading of HOWL and ART AROUND THE PARK. Centered in Tompkins Square Park, the festival attracts more than 100,000 visitors bringing to the clubs, galleries, parks, streets, and theaters of Manhattan's Lower East Side.

If San Francisco didn't exist, we would have to invent her! It is always such a pleasure to present creative work in this beautiful town, especially when it involves her talented denizens. The fifth edition of TINGEL TANGEL SF on July 30 was such a beautiful evening, with a crowd the rival of ANY great night out in NYC. Between our performers BASIL TWIST, ANNA CONDA, KELLITA, Queen of SF Carnival, MALAKAI and SPARKLY devil and their various entourages, the room was already beautiful before the audience arrived! And the audience was heaven..

We've just posted pictures to our FLICKER SITE and there are pictures and reports galore at the TINGEL TANGEL SF topic on THE MOTHERBOARDS NYC. Right now, we plan to return for the November edition on Thanksgiving Eve, but lucky Bay Area folks can visit every last Wednesday of the month! For details, visit the TINGEL TANGEL website.

CELEBRATING 150 YEARS OF BRILLIANT BOWERY PERFORMANCE

On September 7, JACKIE FACTORY producers CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL will present their second annual HOWLUCINATION to crown this year's HOWL! FESTIVAL. HOWLUCINATION is a new spectacle created by the JACKIE FACTORY each year as an evening event for the HOWL! FESTIVAL. The new two hour LOW LIFE CITY follows on the heels of their first HOWLUCINATION at HOWL! - last year's scandalous LOW LIFE.

Like last year's debut HOWLUCINATION, this year's LOW LIFE CITY is a two hour theatrical showcasing the East Village - and especially, The Bowery, in a lavishly costumed production starring dozens of downtown's finest. A time-travelling, bawdy and witty cavalcade of talent, this show is not recommended for children!

We're so delighted to be returning to SF for the fifth edition of TINGEL TANGEL SAN FRANCISCO, a performance-rich monthly that fuses NYC and Bay Area talent on last Wednesdays of the month. THE JACKIE FACTORY is co-producing this edition along with WEIMAR NEW YORK's EARL DAX and BUBBLE LOUNGE diva EMMANUELLE CHICHE, at BUBBLE LOUNGE in North Beach. This month's delights include Factory DJ JOHNNY DYNELL, master puppeteer BASIL TWIST, MC CHI CHI VALENTI, performances by San Francisco drag star ANNA CONDA (host of "Charlie Horse" at the Cinch) and KELLITA OF HOT PINK FEATHERS, the 2008 SF Queen of Carnival. Creating onsite events in other cities is something we LIVE FOR - there is nothing quite like the challenge. When the city in question - Minneapolis - is brimming with local talent, and the setting a glamorous alley, all the hard work melts away.

THE JACKIE FACTORY will present two days of "LOW LIFE" in LORING ALLEY during MINNEAPOLIS GAY PRIDE, joining a host of esteemed guests in town for this gay-la weekend. The alley adjacent to foodie-hipster hangout NICK AND EDDIE will host DJ JOHNNY DYNELL, MC CHI CHI VALENTI, CHI CHI LARUE, CIRQUE ROUGE, tranny-fronted band ALL THE PRETTY HORSES, metal-punk band FAGGOT, FOXY TANN of TWIN TITTIES BURLESQUE and a cast of neo-Edwardian Trannies, rubberists, and other local talent during evening hours.

This on-site work continues the Factory's LOW LIFE series, inspired by the Art of the Dive and brilliant LUC SANTE book of the same name. LOW LIFE has been presented at the HOWL FESTIVAL and London's RETURN TO NY as well as NYC venues including THE CONEY ISLAND SIDESHOW MUSEUM and JACKIE 60.
