So as the week draws to a close for me, I wonder what this weekend will bring? Tears? Joy? Pain? I don't think any of the negative emotions will come into play. At least I hope they don't.

The first thing I plan on doing is unwinding. How do I plan in doing that I ask myself?

By pulling or I should say extracting those creative juices that are lying dormant in the dark of myself. Wow. That sounds kind of eerie.

Matter of fact I'm scared now. I think I will go hide for a while.

Second Chance

So since the beginning of the year, everyone has been trying to turn over a new leaf.

Well I for one, am right along with the majority. I mean, why not? It is the opportunity to establish goals to achieve and stick to them. I could just as easily continue to do what I have been doing, which is not too much of anything.

That's not entirely true. I did put out 2 EP's, 1 mixtape, make my own website, travel across country, have my sister in law come in to visit. and many more things.

The beginning of the year is the best time to really set and establish goals that you really want to pursue.

Some of the things I want to achieve are:

reduction of current debt

continued spirituality

improved fitness and health

continued musical push

I am sure there are more things i would like to accomplish, but for now I will focus on a small list. After all, I think that the longer the list, the less will actually be achieved.

The Beginning

Well, what better way to start off the year than with a blog entry.

Today was a modest lazy day but I will say that I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Why not start off the year relaxing and getting your head together.

I did something I love, which is getting my music together.

I am really excited about my new mixtape, which can be found in a number of places.

One thing I did get to enjoy was the anatomy of trucks with my two boys....

Chicken trucks

Soup trucks

Nothing better in life than having a conversation with my children....Their minds are filled with nothing but wonderful things that are an awesome treat to discover.

The reason

........Annoyance, bored, frustrated.....preoccupied. I could go on and on for why I don't do things. Sometimes it is because I want to do my own thing such as relaxing and chilling out. I have gotten so tired of being told when and where and how to do things that when I get the chance to not do anything, I take full advantage of it.

This doesn't mean I don't want to be proactive at all. I just do not like to be told what to do....After 10 plus years of it all I want to do is kick back, bust a rap and sip some yac (thats cognac) for you noobs..

Its good though... I googled why people procrastinate and there are many reasons. The top four (based off www.Powerbiz.com) are:

1. POOR WORK HABITS

2. FEELING OVERWHELMED

3. TRYING TO BE PERFECT

4. RATHER DO SOMETHING ELSE

Pretty interesting.

Well I am truly at piece when I am able to express myself through music. I have also always had a deep rooted passion for writing. I think I especially love it more since the invention of the computer. Typing is so much better than writing. My hand always hurts when I write, but then I have been writing raps with a pen or pencil for so long I guess it really doesn't matter.

Anyhow, I am now back on a serious mission to capture every thought and or idea, through some form of communication.

Lets hope this works!

The Politics on Spicy Guido Fist Pumps

These past few days have been quite interest. As I gear up to head back home I have spent most of my time chilling, reading and watching television. Here are some of the things that have been put at the forefront of what I am here to discuss.

First off, as I was engaged in some fine beer and conversation at a friends house the topics of politics came up. Now I by no means have any political beliefs. I look at issues and really feel like, unless I had large stacks of money, it's not going to make a single ounce of difference. I mean lets think about this for a second. Every issue that comes up in Congress and in the House doesn't really see the light of day until the deal is sweetened for both sides to get paid off of. But on C-SPAN they will be at each others throats. Then by the time the issue does come to the light it is so far from the original bill that it is something completely different.

So anyhow, as I was getting drunk at my friends the topic of politics came up and it turned into a heated debate. Now I understand why I don't like to talk about politics because it is similar to religion. These topics are very heated and can sometimes offend people. I leave all and any thoughts or ideas I have about politics in the hands of the late great George Carlin...may he rest in peace.

At one point the topic of politics became a little bit to hot and spicy for conversation. Speaking of Spicy, what is all this talk of a LEGAL Marijuana out on the market? Now I by no means condone drug usage but this at first seemed to good to be true. A legal high with no negative repercussions? Sounded too good to be true. Well like all things that man has made, it is. Here is a little bit of a lesson on Spice.

Spice is the name used for Synthetic Marijuana. It is synthetic because unlike real marijuana, the natural herbs do not produce the intoxication. It is the chemicals sprayed on the drug. These chemicals are synthetic cannabinoids that produce the high like effect. Most smoke shops sell the products under the herbal incense moniker and most have the words "Not For Human Consumption" on the package. Prices vary in most places.

It wasn't until the government started to see an in increase in the Armed Forces that it began to really be questioned. Most military installations have banned the usage and possession of the Spice products due to the effects it produces similar to the effects of marijuana.

My point of view on this is simply put in the sense that if it was from mother nature it probably is a lot healthier than what man makes. Not saying all things man makes are bad. I am simply saying that as we have reproduced things similar to what is found in nature, we have sometimes made more harmful things. This, in my eyes, is one of them.

I guess if we were meant to smoke we would but until that happens I will be happy staying sober and drug free. Back in my adolescence I was not preaching this message but now with children, a wife, and a career, I do not have time for those things.

There was one in particular about 10 of the most bizarre houses in the world. I thought that I had seen some good architecture in my day but I guess I was wrong. Todays rant: Surprisingly I don't have one. It was a good day. I did some PT this morning and I had a good run doing it. Although, I will say that just cause your a SFC doesn't give you the right to assume that everybody will bow down cause your mad at the world. I always respect my seniors, but i'm not going to kiss your a$$. Anyone that has ever worked with me or I have worked with knows this very well. Besides that, today was good. I ate good, slept good, took care of some errands, read a good article (thanks honey), and now am updating all of ya'll............

So I make mistakes and I know how to live them but when you hold a grudge against me just because you don't think I am a solid performer, well all I can say is I have done ran faster, walked further, spent more time away from my family and received too man awards to talk about than YOU can imagine..........but it's cool. I'll take the hits and keep it moving...........A very good SGM once told me, "You fall down and you get right back up"........oh yeah 1 more thing.........

Okay I'm going to cut right to it..............FACEBOOK IS FAKE........I say this in the sense that everything, everyone (Including myself at times), ever posts on here is bragging fake emotions and feelings. It is a way to make themselves feel better than the person or people they envy. No one actually takes the time out to really say whats on their mind. For example, How many times have you read a comment where someone actually puts how they really, really truly feel? I am not talking about the quick "I had a annoying day today" comments either. Chances are you wont see those comments. Why? Because if you or I really post that, then we give people a glance into the imperfections of our lives and that is something we fear. You can sit and say you have a perfect life or make it seem like everything is always wonderful but in the reality of it your blowing smoke just like me.

In conclusion, This is the first of many posts to show you a real, unwavering, unforgiving side of me. I am not sugar coating my real thoughts. Sometimes I may offend.......I BY NO MEANS AM NAME CALLING OR FINGER POINTING.....but if the shoe fits, wear it and don't throw advice my way that you yourself really need.......what is the old saying........A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS.
