Thanks to EJ over at GospelPundit.com, I stumbled upon this - the trailer for a new movie called "Preacher's Kid." It stars R&B singers Letoya Luckett and Tank and looks pretty interesting. Some have said that it's a rip-off of "The Gospel" starring Boris Kodjoe, but I don't know. It seems pretty original to me.

While Drake seems to be the hottest thing in hip-hop music around right now, his video for his song "Best I Ever Had," by most accounts, was not.

Directed by Mr. Kanye "Autotune" West, the video, according to many in the industry, lacked creativity, style, and substance.

Lil' Wayne - Musical Genius or Lyrical Baffoon?

For those that may not have heard, rapper Lil' Wayne recently recorded a song called "Whip It Like A Slave" where he raps:

"I wake up in the morning, take a sh**, shower, shave/ Stand over the stove and whip it like a slave/ I whip it like a slave, I whip it like a slave/ Stand over the stove and whip it like a slave"

Needless to say, the song has caused a storm of controversy, with many hip-hop commentators officially writing Wayne off as a serious rapper and claiming that he's officially sold his soul to the record companies by dissing his own culture and heritage.

What in the world is going on between Mariah "Mrs. Cannon" Carey and Mr. Marshall Mathers?

When was the last time you've seen a lovers' quarrel like this?

This is major! Mariah claims that he's "just a mom-and-pop" she's "a corporation," but that in and of itself is "delusional," as she puts it.

Bottom line, Eminem's a worldwide superstar with a dark side and a mean streak. When Mariah had fallen off for a bit, Eminem was dominating the music industry.

Plus, he's a battle rapper. That's what Eminem does, what he became famous for. There's absolutely no way for her to win this battle.
