My pick for Windows – Microsoft Office 2007, Mac – Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac or Keynote (used by Steve Jobs) and Linux – OpenOffice. While commercial office suites are expensive, they offer the best editing and multimedia tools in my opinion. However, if you cannot purchase a commercial office suite, you may want to download the popular free office suite – OpenOffice at www.openoffice.org.

Kensington Wireless Presenter - $54.77 at Amazon.com

Although they seem obvious, these are the bare essentials. Any other tools are an added bonus (although this will suffice). You may want to purchase a small projector as well if there aren’t any projectors at the presentation location. You can find several projectors on Amazon.com starting at a few hundred Dollars.

Once you have setup the above, you’re ready to begin working on your presentation.

BOOM!
