Hmm, are you wondering why I still remember when did I bought my mobile? Well, I don’t put any memo for it. It’s just because I remember that I bought it right on the Chinese New Year on 2008. Since I won’t use my old 3110c, I give it to my youngest sister.

When the first time I use my iPhone, it’s just like a phone with a superior touch screen, compass functionality, GPS and any other standard feature that owned by this iPhone. Luckily, the staff at the Oke Shop where I purchased this iPhone is generously asked me if I want to add some applications, games and songs for my iPhone. He is also asked me to update my firmware for free.

Without hesitate and enough knowledge with iPhone things, I’m saying “yes, why not”. My iPhone is released on 2009 week 39 with firmware 3.1.1 at that moment.

That day, I’m feeling happy because I’m going to have much fun with my new iPhone. Not quite long, my iPhone firmware is updated into 3.1.3 and filled with apps, games and songs. However… that happiness gone after I realize that the new firmware can’t be jailbreak. An iPhone which is not jailbreak’ed wont be able to perform more and showing all the inner strength.

Not only that, synchronization between iPhone and computer can only be done by using iTunes which is quite annoying for me. As we know (or as your information if you didn’t know) iTunes is only sell an original things. While there are lots of super interesting apps and cracked apps for iPhone. Well, what can I say now… It’s useless to feeling down at the moment. What can I do now is just be happy because even though my iPhone still “virgin” it has quite much apps and games from iTunes which is I purchased with a cheap price.

As the time goes on, I believe there will be a way to jailbreak my iPhone. When that time come, I’ll utilize my iPhone more than what I do with my iPhone at this moment.

I’m really happy for owned an iPhone. However, I just dislike the USB cable used to charge the battery or transfer the data from iPhone to computer. It’s just too short.

So what is special for me today?

Well, I think today is special because I’m going to announce my new blog. This new blog is using Indonesian language (well, basically I’m Indonesian) and it will consist a lots of story. The article will more likely been seen on other places around the world. You might have seen the article from books, webs, newspapers, magazines, emails and many more. The first Idea when I make this blog is I want to archive lots of good stories.

What stories that will be available in that blog?

Well, any good short story will be there. I will update it daily or anytime I can update it. That blog will have story about love, wise stories, stories based on true experience, stories that can motivate your life, joke stories, story about the value of life and many more.

This special day were caused by several problem that exist lately and this problem becoming bigger and bigger. The problem is because Malaysian keeps claiming our (Indonesian) culture. There are lots of Indonesian properties (culture, island, food, etc) claimed by Malaysia. Those lists are:

Please tell me to correct it and also please give me the evidence if I post something wrong. I’m also a human and I can make a mistake too. You can also add other Indonesian properties that claimed by Malaysia and haven’t been added to the list. Don’t forget to give the source of your inputs too hehe.

OK, let’s returning to the Batik which is stated in the beginning of this post. I’m as an Indonesian was also proud of Batik. That’s why I also wearing this cloth even tough I’m rarely using it. Usually I prefer wearing a normal shirt. This symptom was not only happening to me. It is also happening to lots of people in Indonesia. My friends stated about “using batik”, “happy batik day”, “let’s wear batik” and many more in their Facebook status. I haven’t checked my twitter however; I believe it’s also happening in twitter.

In Mitrais (my office) I can see my colleagues wearing Batik too even though not all of them are wearing Batik. But one thing for sure, this is not usual and my managers were also wearing Batik. Before I can achieve my target, I believe there is lots of things to do with my new blog. That’s why I conduct a research on how to increase my site especially hot to increase blog traffic. From all of that suggestion, I found something which is quite interesting. Below is my experience from conduct a meeting.

During my research to get more traffic and rank, I found an article about back link and it lead me to the “DoFollow” and “NoFollow” link which will be used by Google as one of the ranking criteria and also other search engine such as Alexa. In this blog article, I’d like to share my knowledge about what are DOFOLLOW and NOFOLLOW and the impact of using it (included the positive and the negative of the method).

DOFOLLOW
Basically DoFollow is an ordinary link which is created by default. Whenever we create a link, that link automatically categorized as DoFollow link. And when a search engine indexing site which contains any link, the search engine will list all DoFollow link and use it as back link reference to the site which is stated on link URL. The method to earn many back link and usually used is by put as many comment with link on every site that allow DoFollow.

As the owner of site who are allowing DoFollow, the will get much traffic since there will be so many person “spammer” who are going to put lots of comment with link to promote their site. As the result, the rank from Alexa can be boosted easily since Alexa using traffic as one of their priority criteria to index a good ranked site. However there will be degraded rank in other search engine such as Google. Google use outbound and inbound link as one of the criteria to determine good site. If your site having too many inbound links and a little outbound links, your site will be categorized as a bad site and the worst case… your site will be put in Google sand box. What is Google sand box? Well, I’ll try to explain it later.

NOFOLLOW
NoFollow is an additional HTML tag attribute which is given on link tag (a href). By adding this on link tag, it will prevent some search engine to index any link which is having “rel=nofollow” in it. The intention of this tag is to reduce the effectiveness of certain type of spam. This attribute will not influence link target ranking and it will increase the quality of search engine result. For your information, this concept is originally designed by Google, search engine which is considered as the best search engine at the moment. Mostly, every blog applications have this tag as default on their settings.

As the owner with “NoFollow” setting as default, they will get real visitors (Visitors who are always coming because the content of your site is considered as good or useful for them) and the visitors will always coming as long as you can keep the good job for content. Any other site that are referring your site will increase your inbound link and since you will not give lots of outbound link, your rank with Google will be increased for sure even tough it will need some time.

SAND BOX
Google can also put a URL under consideration or usually known as put the URL in to the Sand Box. The URL that listed on Google Sand box won’t be listed on Google search engine. In this case your searching to that URL will return nothing or you can’t find the URL by using Google. Well, Google do this thing because the categorized your site as a spam site. And more than that, it is also happen when people attempting to manipulate Google’s page ranking to bring sites to the top by creating lots of inbound links to a new web site from other web sites. If this happen to you because of the mistake, don’t worry too much. Wait for a month or two. Google usually revise it and you can write an email to them.



Based on DoFollow, NoFollow, inbound link and outbound link, there’s must be something that used as calculation and algorithm to determine your rank by Google. Well, it does exist and it quite complicated especially for those who didn’t like mathematics like me hehe. And because of it, I’m sorry because I can’t explain it to you. At the moment I’m intended to make my blog with DoFollow because I want to increase the traffic first. As the time goes on, I’ll change it back to NoFollow. The basic idea of this game is to open all the places which are not planted with a bomb. If you found up a number when you open the grid, that means there are that many bombs near that opened grid and you have to be careful when opening other grid. The solution is:
-Move your cursor to the Window with Minesweeper
-Type in XYZZY then press SHIFT-ENTER then ENTER

After you do that, you can move your cursor on the grid. If your mouse is on top on free and safe area, you will see a white dot on the top left screen (if you have white background, I suggest you to change it first). If your mouse is on top of the bomb, the white dot will be gone. However, you should watch the dot carefully since it will be only 1 pixel.
