<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and&nbsp; started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach&nbsp; pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was&nbsp; calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on&nbsp; their way to&nbsp; work.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">Three&nbsp; minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He&nbsp; slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his&nbsp; schedule.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>

<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">A&nbsp; few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the&nbsp; man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for&nbsp; work.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">The&nbsp; one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother moved&nbsp; him along hurriedly, but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally the&nbsp; mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the&nbsp; time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents,&nbsp; without exception, forced them to move&nbsp; on.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">&nbsp;In&nbsp; the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a&nbsp; while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk at their normal pace. He&nbsp; collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed&nbsp; it. No one applauded, nor was there any&nbsp; recognition.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">No&nbsp; one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in&nbsp; the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a&nbsp; violin worth 3.5 million&nbsp; dollars.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">Two&nbsp; days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in&nbsp; Boston, and the seats averaged&nbsp; $100.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">&nbsp;This&nbsp; is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was&nbsp; organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about&nbsp; perception, taste, and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a&nbsp; commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we&nbsp; stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected&nbsp; context?</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>

<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">If&nbsp; we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the&nbsp; world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we&nbsp; missing? &nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">----------–</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">&nbsp;I found the link for the original article, "<span style="font-size: 14px; font-family: Arial;">Pearls Before Breakfast</span><span style="font-family: arial; font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size: 14px; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">"</span></span><span style="font-size: 14px; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">:</span></span><span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal;"> &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></p>

<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>

<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>

It’s really all around us.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Verdana; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none; min-height: 17px;"></p>

Some minds are dulled when they have just enough. But when challenges emerge, some begin finding new ways to either maintain their status quo or even to thrive.

Forbes Magazine recently projected that 79 million people will be starting their own home businesses in the next couple of years. This should have great meaning for all of us.

It’s a growing market to pay attention to. Whether you are starting your own, building it bigger (or wanting to) or supplying expertise to other entrepreneurs.

In the ‘30s, those with few resources had to either scratch out a living, stand in soup lines or both. Or, they began solving their most pressing problem; how to survive. Some, because of having to think differently surprised even themselves by actually thriving in a negative economy.

This is true today. It is happening right now. You, by virtue of reading this far, being on this list, thinking about improvement, or taking forward action, are in the potential-to-thrive category.

I heard a quote the other day, “First do what is necessary, then what is possible, from there you can create miracles.”

Wow! Look at that sequence. In other words, survive first. But the biggie is “what is possible.” What is possible?

You’ve probably heard it all, positive thinking, “The Secret,” “Think And Grow Rich,” “The Attractor Factor,” manifestation techniques, etc.

All of these are great. But still, most people find it difficult to believe what is possible for them. It’s so broad. So many choices, methods, techniques, books, videos . . . ahhhhhhhhhhh!

To thrive for some people would seem miraculous. I encourage those people to erase that mindset or at least, and this costs nothing, imagine the feeling of absolute success, whatever that means to you. What would that feel like?

Unlike 1929, most of us are on overwhelm with literally too much to choose from. The key is to isolate an interest and follow through.

I’ll be talking more about the opportunities in these down times later. You do have choices. Massive choices. But it’s hard to see through the horrendous smoke that the media and government keeps throwing at us that obscures the possibilities.

You’ve been warned!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Several years ago I was driving in heavy traffic on a jammed L.A. street. The December Holiday rush was on and competition for L.A. driving space was worse than usual–and nobody was looking very jolly, me included.
I was crawling along in the right lane, late for an appointment. I was trying to make it to the next street where a right turn would place me only a few blocks from my client's office.
I could feel myself clenching, like I was trying to will the cars ahead of me to move faster or maybe even disappear! No wonder I had a backache.
If you’d told me at that moment what I was about to do, I wouldn’t have believed you. Even now, years later, it’s still a vivid memory.
The car ahead of me approached a strip mall's driveway where a couple of cars had been waiting to exit onto the busy street. The already slow moving traffic was almost bumper to bumper.
I barely noticed that the car in front of me had sped up to close the gap, leaving no room to allow the hapless driver to escape her mall confinement.
By the time the line started to move, my impatience was getting higher. How much later would I be? The traffic signal a half block away began to look like a palm tree in an oasis. Almost there, I thought. “C’mon, move!” I said out loud to the cars ahead.
Then I glanced to my right and saw the waiting driver's frustrated face through her windshield. Without thinking, I paused long enough to motion to her to exit.
At that moment, I was questioning my sanity. I was rushed and stressed about being rushed. The “palm tree” was beckoning to me.
This was no help! Letting a car jump ahead! But then I saw the look on her face. It was filled with genuine surprise and joy. Eyes wide, she gave me an enthusiastic wave as she turned out ahead of me.
Then the bonus. The three kids in her car began bouncing up and down excitedly. I wondered where they were going to be that enthused? They all waived and smiled at me as if I'd just granted them their Christmas wishes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's here for the Holidays

No eye contact, no smile, no jumping up and down. I still felt good.

The third driver looked at me as though the whole traffic jam had been my fault as he burned rubber into the adjoining lane. No wave of thanks there. In fact, I halfway expected the California Car Salute. You know, the kind with a single finger.

In the meantime, the Cars behind me began honking in impatience. The flow ahead seemed to speed up and I made it to the corner faster than I thought I would. The palm tree was now just another signal light as I effortlessly turned toward my appointment.

I felt great. Suddenly I realized that I had no more stress. I also realized the time I might have lost, if any, would be mere moments by allowing not just one, but all three cars to exit.

The thoughts of those smiles and waves were causing endorphins to pulsate through my brain. I didn’t even think about the two sourpusses who followed after.

By the time I walked into my client’s office I felt refreshed and ready. How late was I by then? All of about five minutes. What a lesson!

I thought about those kids for days. Even now, years later, I can’t help but to smile when I think about it.

Common decency is the norm in some places. This was true in the small town like the one where I grew up in North Dakota. It's sort of expected there.

However, in the city, you really have to be careful, because often, the car behind you assumes you will not let anyone through and may be staring down your tailpipe because they’re now in it.

Decency has reverberations; not only the good feelings it spreads, but other benefits too. To do it now almost feels selfish, because sometimes it can feel so good.

So, we don’t have to be jolly. Decent is good enough. And it even transcends seasons.

Have fun, feel good!

Merry Christmas And Happy Holidays,

Tom
www.tomjustin.com

P.S. "The girl in the photograph ... my granddaughter well, you see ... she has leukemia and isn't expected to make it even through the holidays," she said through tear-filled eyes. "Is there any way, Santa, any possible way that you could come see Sarah? That's all she's asked for, for Christmas, is to see Santa."

Santa blinked and swallowed hard and told the woman to leave information with his elves as to where Sarah was, and he would see what he could do. Santa thought of little else the rest of that afternoon. He knew what he had to do. "What if it were MY child lying in that hospital bed, dying," he thought with a sinking heart, "this is the least I can do."

When Santa finished visiting with all the boys and girls that evening, he retrieved from his helper the name of the hospital where Sarah was staying. He asked the assistant location manager how to get to Children's Hospital.

"Why?" Rick asked, with a puzzled look on his face.

Santa relayed to him the conversation with Sarah's grandmother earlier that day. "C'mon .... I'll take you there," Rick said softly.

Rick drove them to the hospital and came inside with Santa. They found out which room Sarah was in. A pale Rick said he would wait out in the hall.

Santa quietly peeked into the room through the half-closed door and saw little Sarah on the bed. The room was full of what appeared to be her family; there was the Grandmother and the girl's brother he had met earlier that day. A woman whom he guessed was Sarah's mother stood by the bed, gently pushing Sarah's thin hair off her forehead. And another woman who he discovered later was Sarah's aunt, sat in a chair near the bed with weary, sad look on her face. They were talking quietly, and Santa could sense the warmth and closeness of the family, and their love and concern for Sarah. Taking a deep breath, and forcing a smile on his face, Santa entered the room, bellowing a hearty, "Ho, ho, ho!"

"Santa!" shrieked little Sarah weakly, as she tried to escape her bed to run to him, IV tubes in tact.

Santa rushed to her side and gave her a warm hug. A child the tender age of his own son -- 9 years old -- gazed up at him with wonder and excitement. Her skin was pale and her short tresses bore telltale bald patches from the effects of chemotherapy. But all he saw when he looked at her was a pair of huge, blue eyes. His heart melted, and he had to force himself to choke back tears. Though his eyes were riveted upon Sarah's face, he could hear the gasps and quiet sobbing of the women in the room.

As he and Sarah began talking, the family crept quietly to the bedside one by one, squeezing Santa's shoulder or his hand gratefully, whispering "thank you" as they gazed sincerely at him with shining eyes. Santa and Sarah talked and talked, and she told him excitedly all the toys she wanted for Christmas, assuring him she'd been a very good girl that year. As their time together dwindled, Santa felt led in his spirit to pray for Sarah, and asked for permission from the girl's mother. She nodded in agreement and the entire family circled around Sarah's bed, holding hands. Santa looked intensely at Sarah and asked her if she believed in angels.

"Oh, yes, Santa ... I do!" she exclaimed.

"Well, I'm going to ask that angels watch over you," he said. Laying one hand on the child's head, Santa closed his eyes and prayed. He asked that God touch little Sarah, and heal her body from this disease. He asked that angels minister to her, watch and keep her. And when he finished praying, still with eyes closed, he started singing softly, "Silent Night, Holy Night .... all is calm, all is bright." The family joined in, still holding hands, smiling at Sarah, and crying tears of hope, tears of joy for this moment, as Sarah beamed at them all. When the song ended, Santa sat on the side of the bed again and held Sarah's frail, small hands in his own.

"Now, Sarah," he said authoritatively, "you have a job to do, and that is to concentrate on getting well. I want you to have fun playing with your friends this summer, and I expect to see you at my house at Mayfair Mall this time next year!" He knew it was risky proclaiming that, to this little girl who had terminal cancer, but he "had" to. He had to give her the greatest gift he could -- not dolls or games or toys -- but the gift of HOPE.

"Yes, Santa! "Sarah exclaimed, her eyes bright ...

He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead and left the room. Out in the hall, the minute Santa's eyes met Rick's, a look passed between them and they wept unashamed. Sarah's mother and grandmother slipped out of the room quickly and rushed to Santa's side to thank him.

"My only child is the same age as Sarah," he explained quietly. "This is the least I could do." They nodded with understanding and hugged him.

One year later, Santa Mark was again back on the set in Milwaukee for his six-week, seasonal job which he so loves to do. Several weeks went by and then one day a child came up to sit on his lap. "Hi, Santa! Remember me?!"

"Of course, I do," Santa proclaimed (as he always does), smiling down at her.

After all, the secret to being a "good" Santa is to always make each child feel as if they are the "only" child in the world at that moment.

"You came to see me in the hospital last year!" Santa's jaw dropped.

Tears immediately sprang in his eyes, and he grabbed this little miracle and held her to his chest. "Sarah!" he exclaimed. He scarcely recognized her, for her hair was long and silky and her cheeks were rosy -- much different from the little girl he had visited just a year before. He looked over and saw Sarah's mother and grandmother in the sidelines smiling and waving and wiping their eyes.

That was the best Christmas ever for Santa Claus. He had witnessed -- and been blessed to be instrumental in bringing about -- this miracle of hope.

This precious little child was healed. Cancer-free. Alive and well. He silently looked up to Heaven and humbly whispered, "Thank you, Father. 'Tis a very, Merry Christmas!"

--------------------------

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAS VEGAS December 8, 2008

Holiday Blues?

Tom Justin, author of "How To Take No For An Answer And Still Succeed," (How to Turn Everyday Rejections Into Profit And Abundance) offers these humorous Holiday tips. Then on a more serious note, he presents, “Six Guaranteed Ways To Really Enjoy The Holidays and Beat The Blues!”

There are very good reasons for many to feel rejected, disappointed and just plain blue on a holiday when everyone else seems to be in high spirits.

9 Ways You Might Feel Rejected During The Holidays:

If Santa Claus ate all your cookies but didn't leave a present, you might feel rejected.

If, at a party, more than one person asks if you've been taking your medication and they've never met you before, you might feel rejected.

If you're not invited to the office Christmas party – and you’re the boss, you might feel rejected.

Your best friend told you to cheer up, things could be worse. So you cheered up and sure enough, things got worse.

If you were expecting an engagement ring at Christmas, but instead, your boyfriend gives you a microwave oven, you might feel rejected.

If you ask your wife to go to the neighbor's New Years Eve party but she already has a date, you might feel rejected.

If all your gifts you receive this year are the exact same gifts you gave last year, with the same wrappings, you might feel rejected.

Instead of having a star named after you for your Christmas present, you got a membership in Procrastinators Anonymous, you might feel rejected.

If you receive an anonymous application for Extreme Makeover– more than once, you might feel rejected.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's here for the Holidays
The Endless $50.00 Discount Coupon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And Now. . .

6 Guaranteed Ways To Really Enjoy The Holidays Right Through 2009

Search daily for reasons to be grateful. Concentrate on what you have, not what you lack.

Be forgiving. Forgive others, especially if you're going to be seeing them, even your in-laws. Forgive yourself for your errors and any other transgressions you've made throughout the year.

Find new and unique ways to express your appreciation and love for friends and relatives.

Don't try to treat the "holiday blues" with holiday booze; it will just cause deeper shades of blue.

If you're happy be sure to tell your face. If you're not, tell your face to fake it.

Don't compare your gifts or station in life to others, especially your friends and family. Your loved ones know you're doing the best you can. You can resolve to do better. Let it be a motivation, not a holiday "blue note."

Remember, if you haven't been rejected, disappointed or failed recently, you aren't living close enough to your potential.

- 30 -

P.S. How’s your personal power?

Pass this on to your friends. Just send them to:http://budurl.com/87fq

Here's a BONUS # 7 Idea

Don’t set a New Years resolution, take back your POWER instead!

Yes, it's true, there are far more failures than successes in life. Almost all great inventions, except those discovered by "mistake" took failure, (AKA trial and error) after failure, after failure, before succeeding. What if they failed big time? Everyone would see.

Companies led by such timid souls were often mediocre, compared with what they could have been. Companies don’t fail or succeed, people do.

All success is the result of courage. The courage to act with the potential to fail. But what about the potential to succeed?

So, I offer a very special activation holiday special.

You and I will spend an hour together. Whatever that part of your life that you want or need to activate will be explored and the methods and ideas will be discussed.

Activate Here

Success and accomplishment along with happiness and less stress come from intelligent and sometimes guided activation of our dreams and desires.

This is truly a gift that you can give to yourself and your family.

You needn't be alone on this. Your session will be a powerful and positive step in your personal activation beyond any single idea you may have now.

Find out more about "Please Activate Now," right here, right now:

Activate Here

More power to you,

Tom

P.S. We will set your activation session soon or even early next year if you like. But there are limited slots available at this price. Either way, this special opportunity for you will end on Sunday at midnight!

Activate Here

For that I am very grateful to you for doing so, and I thank you again for your interest and your trust and staying with me.

If you’ve been with me for awhile you know that my punctuation often suffers, but my goals are clear.

I will provide you with a combination of self-help, personal empowerment tools, business possibilities and information to assist you to lead more fulfilling lives, even if in some very small way.

Some things I send may have no immediate interest to you, but as one reader said, “the next thing could be a knock out.”

I believe that all people are living in one of three levels in life. Anyone can regress or advance at any time. My goal is to assist us all towards number 3 and to stay there!

1. Existence
2. Survival
3. Thriving

None of these three necessarily have to do with material or financial goods. I know people who make a lot of money but are in an “existence” mode. They are like automatons. They crank out their jobs mechanically, do what is required or more, depending on their “settings.” They are usually anhedonic, unable to feel joy, even though they may live in opulence.

Survivors are just getting by. Whether with finances, love, or relationships. But they can feel and exhibit joy and hope and love. Some are aiming at thriving, while others, complain about their circumstances. The latter are may be on automatic. They take little or no action to improve their lot, they just automatically continue to survive, doing the bare minimum.

The thrivers are just incredible. They are filled with hope, gratitude, forward looking attitudes while always looking to learn more. The poorest financially are still optimistic and seeking improvement in every area they want to thrive in. Their happiness is not conditional. But they are seldom satisfied with any kind of status quo, except happiness.

Some survivors and all thrivers are “activators,” (see “Please Activate Now:” )

Now about that “I love you” message.

A marketer for whom I have great respect sent that to his list today, not to me personally. He knows who I am, but loves me? Hmmm.

Two words that are dear to me, friend and love. Those are serious words.

I don’t want to go off on a (another) tangent, but briefly, I do think you can love humanity as a concept, but individuals are completely unique situations.

Some of us, though we’ve never met, have had enough interaction where there is that feeling of friendship. In those cases, I have little doubt that would change if we were face to face.

But friend is a treasured word and relationship. Unlike politicians and other manipulators of human emotions, it’s not a word I am likely to use loosely.

So, again. I am grateful to you for joining with me. I hope I can provide help and inspiration along the way and pass along what I’m learning from others too.

Feel free to comment and correspond. I read all of my personal emails and respond to each one . . . eventually. Customer service, of course, is handled immediately.

Happy gratitude day, wherever you are and whatever day you read this.

More power to you,

Tom

When you learned to ride a bike you likely did not get on the first time and just ride off. If you’re like I was, scraped knees, torn pants, and learning new words that mom and dad would punish you for were all part of the process.

Right now there is an activation inside of you that you’ve already considered. It’s an activation that could bring you a better life, more money, powerful relationships, and a myriad of potential accomplishments.

Can you feel it, pulsating, ready to activate when you command.

First, if you aren’t sure what this is, and I promise you, it’s there, ask yourself a few clarifying questions. What is it you desire and don’t have? What goals do you have that you haven’t activated the process toward achieving yet? What are you delaying and why?

In a negative economy many people regress into a reactive state. They react with fear, or worse, paralysis. They react to the negative news and believe that everyone is in trouble.

An old friend of mine had a very successful mortgage business for the past 5 years. He did extremely well. That business dwindled to nothing.

As the economy was slipping deeper and deeper, he began to look for new opportunities. He found one in the wireless phone business. He’d never been in that business before. Four months later he’s earning at least $25,000 a month!

He has close friends in the mortgage business who are still crying the blues, even though he’s offered them the opportunity to join him.

He activated! He’s activating others too. Some won’t listen or believe. What’s a mortgage guy know about telecom?

What do you know about your dreams? Why haven’t you activated for those?

Do you need help?

America and other democratic countries are run by the energy of entrepreneurs. While our attention is the major employers, especially in an economic crisis, it belies the power of the independent businessperson.

A negative economy drives formerly satisfied employees to seek part time income or second jobs. The lure of the independent business opportunities becomes more attractive. Couch potatoes become mouse potatoes as they seek new financial opportunities online.

To become a victim of opportunity one must make decisions on hope and not knowledge. Hype and not focused questions. Fear and not a positive and thoughtful approach for long term success instead of short term hopeful fixes.

The following entrepreneur opportunities are the most prevalent opportunities being presented today:

Franchising

Sole proprietorship businesses

The Internet

MLM

Here's a capsized version of each one. I’ve made significant to large sums of money in each except franchising. But my experience there is as a researcher when I was consulting to Entrepreneur magazine and rewriting and editing their “Entrepreneur’s Encyclopedia.”

Franchising - An experienced franchisor offers one of the best opportunity odds of success for the small business person. Their businesses, often turnkey, arrives with heavy training, ongoing assistance, co-op advertising and a set of proven procedures the franchisee must follow or lose their franchise.

Cons: A decent to great franchise is very expensive. The big boys have the best territories, if you can get one at all. You are a slave to the business with absentee ownership only a dream for most people that is seldom realized or only after many years in business.

Sole proprietorship's - You can buy existing businesses. Brokers abound. Many have succeeded by taking over an already running store or company.

Cons: Usually expensive for any business that is even somewhat successful. Former owners, even when promising to stick around are usually long gone as soon as they can get to the beach, which is generally five minutes after escrow closes. Little help and the inexperienced can fail fast, right along with their investments.

Many small non-franchising businesses are personality driven, so if the staff and customers don’t relate to the new owners, it can tank pretty fast. You are also a slave to the business with little slack. If you only break even, you can’t shift or change if you want to protect your investment.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Learn How To Create Your Own Digital Products
For Sales And Promotions
The Digital Product Creation Course Special
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Internet marketing - There are as many variables with online marketing as keys on your keyboard. It’s been called the gold mine of the 21st Century. It’s a tool rather than a business. The tool can create more business for stores, restaurants, professional offices and the sale of literally any kind of product.

Independent business people can market other’s products informally and be paid a commission. You can develop your own digital products or information products and deliver them over the Internet for free in order to promote something or for a fee.

Cons: While easy to begin, most people new to it flounder, trying to find what to do next, or even first. It’s a lone wolf business, which can be difficult for those coming from the corporate world, though communities of like minded leaders and marketers are beginning to break out.

MLM/Network Marketing - Long before the Internet, the seed of modern day independent easy-to-enter entrepreneurship began with what we know as MLM or network marketing. When it first emerged, average people could represent a company’s product line in any way they liked.

As the concept of multiple levels emerged, greater incomes became possible. Modern math and computers made it possible to be creative with many variables. Old line companies who were slow to change became dinosaurs to the new dynamic marketing concepts of the MLM businesses

Cons: The bloom died for a time with the advent of high fees charged to just to get into the business. Large commissions were being paid for recruiting that involved little or no product sales. It became a business of perpetrators and victims with everyone in a suit.

To stem the tide of victimizing companies, stringent state and Federal laws were passed to protect the independent distributors and customers.

Throughout the 80’s to the present, many MLM businesses flourished. However, the attrition rate for many new companies became a corporate field of casualties. Many companies are under financed or operated by ignorant business people who thought all they needed to have was a successful distributor history to run an entire company.

Because the industry grew so rapidly, both with highly successful companies and those that failed, it seemed that not only did everyone know someone who’d tried and failed but that almost everyone seemed to fall into that mode themselves.

“Oh yeah, I tried that and it didn’t work at all.” Or, “Are you trying another one of those deals!”

Only in the past several years has this industry undertaken a high level air of professionalism.

Modern day marketing - Small independently owned storefront businesses such as grocery, and clothing stores, restaurants and coffee shops have been replaced with the big money world of franchise operations.

The independent business person, the new entrepreneurs, while almost frozen out of traditional businesses have flocked to the Internet and MLM world of opportunity.

The new kid on the block, Internet marketing has a real glow and attraction. However, the new marketing model of the 21st Century has begun to take the known quantity of MLM and mix it with the Internet, creating a form of hybrid marketing that exploding.

A downturn economy is the breeding ground for entrepreneurs. 2008 is no exception.

The focus and structure of a well run and well financed MLM company, mixed with Internet savvy is creating a new breed of newly minted successful entrepreneurs.

It’s a great time for open-minded skeptics with entrepreneurial desires.

Cons: This is true for all entrepreneurial ventures – While today, unlike the past, you truly can find early cash flow. But all business is filled with hands on work, learning, and more work.

Too many quit too soon. Evidence of one person's success can be proof of the possibilities. Several people succeeding is absolute proof. The difference is in the attitude of the entrepreneurial mindset within you.

If someone says, "Make money while you sleep." Run!

Can that happen? Absolutely. But never forget the work ethic. You have to start, work and stay with it before you can benefit.

Did you have a reality check and it bounced?

Okay, the stock market is dropping like a Las Vegas drunk on New Years Eve. Layoffs abound. The US government is nationalizing the banking system with tens of billions of dollars, the top 3 automakers in the US are begging for bailout money . . .

Need I say more? It’s that time. It’s that tough time. All people have it at one or more times in their lives and so do economies.

Believing makes it so. For those who’ve been laid off or who are witnessing their 401 K’s tanking, their stocks dragging knuckles like a caveman or just plain fear is welling up in anticipation of the media fear circus, there is GOOD NEWS.

The truth is a lie. Oh, it’s the truth as far as the economy, layoffs, etc., go, but it’s a lie if you say it is.

Huh?

First, positive thinking, wishful dreams and hoped for outcomes are, by themselves, useless. Yes, good attitudes are required, but action will be required.

Let’s look at reality check number 1. Everyone is suffering terribly.

Okay, if that’s so, then how is it that on November 21st, the day following a horrific week of stock market downturns, did this happen?

Lines of people throughout the USA began forming in the middle of the night. Many in freezing weather, waiting for the doors to open.

For what? Soup kitchens? New job openings? Government handouts?

No. For the new Blackberry Storm wireless phone. Scuffles started breaking out when some of the stores ran out of phones within an hour of opening!

What?

Okay, so now we have proof. Obviously not everyone is seriously hurting in this downturn.

Maybe we should call this the “Blackberry Economy.” We are so diverse that thousands of people are grasping to be first to buy the latest technology.

So what’s true? What’s true for you might be a better question.

You may have heard this from me before, but think about it; more millionaires were created during the Great Depression than at any other time in history!

We are not in a great depression. You might feel it, you might have even lost a job or you fear losing it.

There is a gift that is available to us all, and this is not positive thinking, the gift is that there are new opportunities coming in great abundance. Not just in a downward spiraling economy but especially in a downward spiraling economy!

But, how do you recognize them? How can you create them? How in the world can you benefit and how fast?

Here are the absolute keys to finding what works, or better, what can work for you.

Be an open-minded skeptic - but be open minded.

Rethink your prejudices. Not about people, but about yourself and the world of opportunities and possibilities as they relate to you.

Whenever the potential opportunity or your own “Aha!” idea presents itself. Neither dismiss or accept it right off. Examine each like you would if you were a jeweler looking at a gem, is it real or Zirconium?

If you think everyone is hurting and suffering, check that! No, not everyone is, nor will we all have to go through it. Or, for those who are, they needn't stay there. In fact many will rise far above their previous financial stations in life precisely because of these challenges and that they caused them to think a different way.

The uneducated and naive have made millions in negative economies, so have smart and well educated people.

It is the prejudiced, the negative receivers of universal information who allow themselves to be beaten down and convinced that they are hurting. They suffer from no AHA’s. They are the mentally downtrodden who become the physical and financial wrecks that starts within their own mindsets.

It is time to shift and get off the pot! That pot of misery that the media likes to place us on with the worst of the worst stories. The negative feedback that comes through an endless negative repeating of the already known negative stories of doom and gloom by sad and negative people.

Just remember F.E.A.R.

First
Evaluate
According to
Risk

Keep an open mind, pray for “AHA’s,” stop prejudging anything. Forget what you were convinced about before and rethink everything!

Do this; remember the future.

The future of you, being where you want to be and beyond. Be in the remembrance that you would have after these accomplishments.

Imagine yourself, overlooking the mountain or ocean scenes from the home you want to have, thinking back, remembering your AHA’s and the time you had getting to this place.

Now is the time. This is the place. You are the one.

Join the “Blackberry Economy!”

Next: How to avoid becoming a victim of opportunity. My partner was busy with his acting career and I was out with little money left to do much of anything.

Through a series of events too long to explain, I ended up back in sales, which I’d done on and off from the time I was a teenager.

The company I’d joined was fairly new but growing. I was an independent rep and solely responsible for my own everything, all expenses with not even a commission draw. But I loved their product and knew it could succeed. But could I?

Being “in sales,” in my mind was a real step down from the glamor of show biz, though I hadn’t been making much money, even with the studio office and Cadillac . I was depressed and stuck.

Their national sales manager, Kurt, was an affable, tall good looking guy who could charm the most cynical, including me.

I really didn’t know what to do next. I had lots of options, but the money wasn’t coming fast enough. The promise of fast growth seemed to be happening to others in the company but not to me.

What I didn’t realize was that I was bottled up. I couldn't tell my girlfriend or even my best friend about my fears or concerns because I didn’t know what to say, nor did I want to show weakness.

His expensive suit and stylish haircut belied his background. He was the best professional speaker and sales trainer I’d ever heard. His successes had been extraordinary as had been his failures. He’d learned and taught from them all. His name was Kurt Robb, and he had far more belief in me than I had in myself.

He was kind but known not to suffer fools. He was action oriented and motivated his sales force with forward motion, make mistakes and go for it, correct them, and go for it again, was what I was getting. But stuck is stuck.

Nothing was working for me, at least it seemed that way. My depression was bringing up the worst reflections of my entire life. All the hardships and none of the benefits. the worst of what had gone on in my young life from adolescence to the the present bubbled to the surface.

I ‘d reluctantly asked Kurt if he could spare some time for me. He was always busy, especially after a big seminar, which he’d conducted that day. Lots of people were vying for his attention.

We made the coffee shop appointment for 11 PM that night, the soonest he could get to me.

For over an hour he sat there, just listening as I poured my heart out to him, something I’d never done before in my life to anyone!

I was a waterfall of heartache, bringing him through my life and up the the most current reasoning (excuses) of why I wasn’t creating more sales or seeing success in anything.

Though his wife was waiting for him in the lobby to drive back to Southern California, he never interrupted me, he never showed impatience. Finally, my waterfall stopped. I slumped forward, exhausted and embarrassed.

There was a long pause.

He leaned forward intently with a slight smile and said these 11 words; “Other than that, is there anything else standing in your way?”

My mind was clicking like an old-fashioned computer, too slow to process needed information, but sorting through the possibilities. My pause must have been long, but he never wavered, he just waited for my reply.

I had nothing. No more excuses, the ones I’d just spent on him now seemed worthless. I flashed on the sales and other successes of my past and realized that I did have a reservoir of power. All I replied was, “No.”

“Okay, good,” he said. “We’ll have our weekly sales meeting in the morning and get started. I appreciated what you told me tonight.”

That was it. We shook hands and he walked out of the place.

Why and how those 11 words transformed me, literally overnight is not a mystery to me now. I needed a safe place to vent. I instinctively trusted him without asking for his confidence.

Our next steps were plans and actions. No more reasons, only results.

The past can’t stand in your way unless you pack it up and keep unloading it in front of you then repeatedly pondering the poison of it all.

Within weeks I was leading the number one sales organization in the company, a position we never lost until I sold my interest.

I know now that Kurt couldn’t help me plan or encourage more action until I coiled clear out my mind. While there are different ways to do this, depending on the personality, there are always stages to forward motion.

Sadly, Kurt was killed just six months later. But he was and remains one of my most important mentors in sales and life coaching.

Since then, even when coaching and mentoring others, I’ve always had a coach and sometimes a mastermind group at the same time.

It’s part of the reason I love to continually coach and mentor others too.

There’s a very special opportunity for the end of the year coaching for your business or future business.

But, no matter what, ask yourself those 11 magic words:
“Other than that, is there anything else standing in your way?”

Now, let’s create some action plans.
End Of The Year Review Special

Who Do You Know Who Could Use This Information? It seems that way.

It’s often said in a way that makes it seem unfair to everyone else.

Is it unfair?

How does this apply to the average income earner?

Can the poor get average, then rich, and then richer?

If they understand one simple principle over all others, absolutely!

This is powerful stuff and I’m glad I found it. You will be too.

Let’s say a husband and wife start a small business. It flourishes. They carefully build a customer base that becomes a loyal customer list. Buyers buy, satisfied customers buy and return or come back when called.

So, more and more money pours into their little business. They have to hire some more people, get more equipment, balance the expense of growth with net income, all considerations to continual growth and profitability.

So, are they getting richer? Maybe and maybe not.

Expansion often reduces net income. It takes awhile to catch up. Some don’t get rcher because they forget or neglect what got them there.

Why? Here’s where the smart rich get richer.

They repeat what worked, then repeat it again. That’s not all. . .

They make continual improvements. They try something new, balancing the risk/reward ratio each time. Maybe invest in new information or technology.

Some things work, some don’t. They lean how to balance their risk.

But then they keep going back to what got them there, what worked and make a continual improvement, sometimes small tweaks.

As they gain more income, they are getting “richer,” they gain more responsibility and cost and taxes. They are now third party income creators for every new hire they make. More people are making money because they are getting richer.

The rich get richer because of their awareness of continual improvement or the Japanese word, Kaizen. Of course compound interest helps too.

Mark Joyner, as you may have seen in my previous post, http://budurl.com/8tw3 is capable of showing others how he’s used systems, techniques and tactics to create tens of millions of dollars in sales for his company.

His marketing plan, marketing strategies, how he markets online and other powerful information are always included in his tutorials.

But, what’s not been obvious to the casual user, is kaizen!

Understanding and applying this concept may seem easy. If you are marketing online, working from home, for instance, you might apply a Kaizen approach by adding a new product sooner than before and letting your customer base know.

You could take a course to learn how to create your own digital products and suddenly realize a much higher profit per sale. Continual improvement! Kaizen.

The question is, how to do this consistently and how to balance the responsibilities of running your business effectively by making these incremental changes?

You create a regular kaizen event! How? What are the techniques to doing this?

In a few hours, Mark opens his new membership The Kaizen Club, which if you are seeking to improve yourself or your business, you will not miss.

If you missed my previous post about Mark or don’t know him yet, take a look at it.
http://budurl.com/8tw3

You can also take a look at his blog now:
http://budurl.com/mb8r

There’s some great info in preparation for what he’s about to release.

I’ll be sending you more information later today before he opens his site at 8:00 PM Eastern. It’s for all personal improvement. Employee, father, mother, wife, husband, life.

When the problem is that there is not enough; not enough money, time, knowledge, relationships or even self-confidence, there is an amazing solution available to you.

When your goal is to create long term not singular success, a different kind of consciousness has to be applied.

There are many complicated methods, techniques and applications for this accomplishment, some worthy of post graduate degree knowledge.

But what if the understanding a single word and using its concept could make all the difference in your long term and even short term outcome?

It’s amazing, but this seemingly simple concept may be responsible for more success stories than almost any other single technique known to mankind, even for those who never heard of this word before.

No, this isn’t hype, in fact, it will be clear to you how simple this is, yet how profound it is too. And it's absolutely provable!

The word is kaizen. Japanese for “continual improvement.”

Well, you might think, that’s obvious. Continual improvement is the ideal for any business.

But, as with any “simple” concept, the reality of application can be be easily lost, especially among the desperate who seek a sudden and dramatic positive, maybe even miraculous shifts.

Applying some of the techniques learned by the masters of kaizen may create these shifts, but regardless of your needs, understanding kaizen and applying it with masterful assistance may be life enhancing for you for years to come.

Mark Joyner is a masterful practitioner of this art. Though he’s never spelled it out like he’s about to do. His success is 3-D in almost every visible arena he’s entered.

As a former Army Intelligence officer with the highest possible security clearance, he moved into the early world of online marketing as a true pioneer.

Before the technology was friendly, he created paradigm shifts. He simplified the complex and helped create a multi-billion dollar businesses that reverberate to this day.

He is the creator of Simpleology, the masterful system of success that tens of thousands of people are using around the world.

There are 20 something millionaires who owe their successes directly to the marketing strategies that Mark Joyner created. But how?

Entrepreneurs hope for marketing ideas to save the day, and some will. The challenge is, in part, due to the way any marketing plan is created then implemented.

Mark Joyner’s techniques have been to create, act, succeed, succeed some more, simplify the process, then share it with others. When he profits, so do others, repeatedly!

Yet successful events do not mean long term successes. Or as the saying goes; “Win the battle, lose the war.” Long term success is the ultimate challenge for anyone seeking to be above average in income and life.

Every long term successful person or company may show a series of events that contributed to their success. But “under the hood” is the quiet but powerful hum of kaizen.

Mark is now about to share his highest level of successful methods with a worldwide audience.

Whether you are marketing online with your business, a corporate manager or a current or future entrepreneur, you will miss a magnificent opportunity if you fail to see the marketing strategies that are possible with kaizen as explained by Mark Joyner.

Whether the story about one man who lost 35 pounds with one simple change that caused continuous improvement or of rags to riches, long term success examples, Mark’s research and application of Kaizen will show you the way.

His site isn’t available until November 6, but you can view his blog and get some ideas and even win a full year of membership in his organization.

The question you have to ask is, is your marketing strategy enough? What don’t you know? Could you create a kaizen event that would create a real difference?

So, be sure to visit his blog at; http://budurl.com/mb8r or on November 6, at 8 PM Eastern go to his site; http://budurl.com/kaizen and see for yourself.

Watch for his kaizen event coming on Thursday and it will be available after that.

Especially a trek that early to the opposite side of the city.

Friday evening I was going through the lineup for the rest of the weekend. All I saw was her name and I got a strong “click” to go. Am I glad that I did!

On top of being a terrific speaker, she has a very clever 3 minute movie I think you’ll enjoy.

Carrie Wilkerson, cleverly branded as The Barefoot Executive. She was inspiring with a great story that simultaneously entertained and educated. A highly unique structure and ability.

I told her that I thought she was one of the best speakers I’ve seen in many years. She asked if I would do a video testimonial, which I happily agreed to do.

Carrie is a natural promoter, in the best sense of the word.

I said that I thought she was a professional killer. How she began not one, but four home based businesses and turned each into a success story is an education unto itself.

Below is her short 3 minute film, "The Boss Movie," that’s played around the world. I was dining at fine restaurants and was being paid enough to cover my overhead while working on my dream project that I'd almost given up on.

We all have survival stories that we can sit back today and marvel at the fact that we did survive.

Each survival is a reminder that we did it once, we can do it again.

It may be hard to think of thriving when you're trying to survive, thrive is why we're here, right?

Thrive is why you read this.

Thrive is why I write this!

Become your own inspiration.
Are you problem conscious or solution conscious? Why do some people seem to whip around and out of problems like a Porsche on high speed obstacle course? They are solution conscious. What's the difference? The problem conscious person focuses on the problem long after it's presented itself. The solution conscious person sees the problem, examines it quickly, then begins to focus on solutions. Creative problem solving and becoming a "finder" is what this is all about. Unstuck is the result....

Positive forward motion is the action. Less stress is the benefit. Desired accomplishment is the result Greater power and influence is the realization.

How's your power and influence?

What do you do about this?

The screaming negatives are assaulting us from all sides, the media, politics, the economy, fearful conversation from friends and relatives.

Anger and lashing out at circumstances further reduces our power.

It's time to reclaim your power!

Trying to react to what's happens only further weakens us.

Isn't it time to take back your power?

http://tinyurl.com/69socy

If you have a doubt, please read every word of this, because I will prove to you that you do have power and no third party or events can take that away from you.

No one takes our power, we only give it away. Here's how to get it back!

http://tinyurl.com/69socy

People give up their power unconsciously by being slaves to headlines and events, intimidation, negative influences and the lack of money.

Positive thinking? It simply won't work without bringing forth the power and energy that resides within you.

How can your exude more confidence if you feel powerless?

You must ACTIVATE your inner power source.

http://tinyurl.com/69socy

No, this isn't some rah rah rant. You won't be able to read a positive quote or talk to yourself more positively and climb out of this.

I was invited to create a 6-week series for UCLA's Experimental college on personal power. We explored everything from the mystical to practical.

From that came a series of seminars and then the programs on your inner power. Then "Your Intuitive Click" was born.

Our driving creative force comes from the base of our natural intuition.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to tap into it anytime you like?

I've taught people from all over the world the simple technique. The next steps are understanding it better and learning to tap into it at will. That's part of what the course is about.

Everything else is about your power.

First, your power, then everything else! All gains flow from newly discovered power.

More confidence, greater clarity, and "instant on" personal power. That's what "What Power You Must Have" is all about.

These were two separate programs, but now, for the first time, they've been brought together as one, and you'll have it for one price, a savings of 50%!

PLUS BONUSES

Don't you owe it to yourself to find out what so many others have already discovered?

Here's your information

More power to you!
