Venus, Berlin Last Day of the show!

This has been a very "interesting" week! Berlin is a beautiful city with an amazing and infamous history. My week has been exhausting and exciting. I have found that there is a very high ratio of attractive people in this city. Almost everyone we have encountered has been friendly and helpful.

The show is a spectacle in itself. Strippers at 11:00AM is as strange as it sounds. I've grown tired of seeing Russians Fucking (the booth next to us). All the girls in the videos looked like they're on drugs. Competing DJ's are all playing way to loud! There is a guy in a full horse suit giving people buggy rides around the convention center. And lots of young horny eye candy have made the show go by quicker.

The highlight of the week was definitely The HustlaBall on Friday. I'm way too old to enjoy the nightlife like I used to but when you throw in hot guys having sex on stage, count me in!! WARNING: The link is very "NOT SAFE FOR WORK"

Tomorrow we have a full day off to enjoy Berlin and take in some more sights. My flight back home is at 6:00AM Tuesday morning which means I would have to get up at about 2:00AM to pack up, check out and get to the airport....I've decided to make it an all-nighter and sleep on the plane with a little pharmacological assistance.

I' be glad to back to Austin. I miss my husband and my pets and my bed! I'm clicking my heels together and saying "There's no place like home".

I started my journey to Berlin on Sunday at 12:00PM Austin, TX time. By the time I got to my hotel room at Swissotel, it was Monday at 12:00PM Berlin time. 3 flights, 4 airports, 2 security checks, and 1 hour of sleep.

The longest flight on Northwest Airlines was actually enjoyable. There was video/music on demand and free beer/wine. Time went rather quickly! I watched "The Hangover" for the second time and "Land of the Lost" one time too many!

The Swissotel is uber modern and in a beautiful section of Berlin. judging by the retail shops nearby, I couldn't afford to live in the neighborhood.
Took a 3 hour nap in my room before meeting up with the rest of the group. Dinner with my co-workers was very nice at a wonderful Italian restaurant (yeah, I know...I've still got over a week to sample the local cuisine). Then drinks in the hotel lobby with Daniel, who gave that Long Island Iced Tea the old college try. I stuck with Maker's Mark and Ginger Ale...yummy!!
Next up is navigating the local TV stations and settling in for bed. Tomorrow some sight-seeing before Venus Trade Fair begins.
