Are You Ready For Some Walk Around Fairies?

With the release of the brand new Tinker Bell films coming out this fall, Disney's Character Programs & Development department have come up with walk around versions of the five Disney fairies. No word on when the fairies will start to appear in the parks but it probably will be real soon. It has not been confirmed but the best place to see Tink and her fairy friends will be at the Judge's Tent at Mickey's Toontown Fair over at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

Pirates 4

If you are a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean and want another Pirates movie you may have to wait a little longer. It seems that there are some plans to make another movie but they have hit a snag. Director Gore Verbinski is signed on to do some other movies for the time being and Johnny Depp made it well known he would not be involved with another Pirates movie unless Gore directed it. But there is still hope out there, we will just have to be a little patient.

Toy Story Now Has A Fast Pass

Great news to everyone this summer. Toy Story now has a Fastpass so you won't have to wait in extremely long lines for this hot new attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Also just a quick piece of advice. If you want to avoid the crowds make sure you get there before the gates open and make a mad dash for the ride when the park opens. That way you won't have to worry about long lines.

New Attraction Coming To Epcot

You may or may not remember Hurricane Charley back in 2004 that caused $7 billion in property damage to the state of Florida. Well you will soon be able to experience what it was like. Epcot is going to recreate the experience for a new theme park attraction.

The ride will be called "StormStruck: The Tale of Two Homes" It will be an interactive experience rather than a ride. The attraction is set to open in late August at Disney's Epcot Innoventions pavilion. The attraction will put guests in the eye of Charley's Category 4 winds and will use 3-D technology and surround sound. The attraction will require guest to wear 3-D glasses.

Menu Changes At Restaurantosaurus

Listen up parents if you are counting on getting your little one some McDonald's chicken McNuggets when you go to Restaurantosaurus you are in for a surprise. They are no longer selling the McDonald Chicken McNuggets. A spokeswomen said, "But Disney will offer its own chicken nuggets and fries atRestaurantosaurus, along with a new dessert menu and a new menu for children's meals" She also adds, "The McDonald's fries will still be offered elsewhere in the park, notably at the PetriFries snack counter nearby."

Toy Story Soft Opening

Great news for anyone heading down to Disney World this week. Toy Story Mania ride is currently in a soft opening. Which means guests will have the opportunity to ride the ride before it officially opens on May 31, 2008. Please keep in mind that during a soft opening the ride can be shut down for no reason at all. But if all things go well it should remain open until it's grand opening on May 31, 2008.

The Simpson Ride Is In Soft Opening

The official grand opening for the new Simpson's ride is May 15, 2008. But he ride is currently under a soft opening.

The new ride is described as a combination of a thrill ride and "live show". Guests will ride with Bart, Homer, Marge, Liss and Maggie Simpson as they rocket through a fanciful amusement park dreamt up by "Krusty the Clown" The voices of the original actors are features in the ride as well.

The new Simpson's ride is located where Back To The Future used to be.

Tinker Bell Attraction

Don't get too excited everyone its seems that Disneyland will be getting this Tinker Bell attraction, which is scheduled to open in October. I am willing to bet though that if the ride does well there, Disney will probably add one to Disney World. The president of the Disneyland resort would not comment on anything about the ride except, " We know how special she is to all our guest."

Expedition Everest

I just wanted to inform everyone on some effects on Expedition Everest that may or may not be working. It seem they are having some difficulties with some of the visual effects on this ride. Sometimes they occur and sometimes they don't. The effects I'm speaking of is there is no steam effect at the loading dock, the bird at the track end scene seems to be missing and the second water near the end of the mountain appears to have stopped working.

Some are saying the reason for this is they are now running 5 trains so you shouldn't be surprised if you see lights and other things on that shouldn't be and some effects not working due to the laggy ride system.

Radio Disney Going Mobile

It seems that nearly 40% of the tween market has a cell phone so the Disney empire has decided to get Radio Disney mobile. Listeners will be able to get updated information about Radio Disney. Children can listen to Radio Disney, see the last ten songs played, find local Radio Disney stations, send shout-outs, request a song, view Radio Disney's Top 30 and take polls. All of this from the comfort of their cell phone.

New Ride Coming To Disney Hollywood Studios?

Alright hot of the press. I'm hearing some rumors about a possible new ride being added to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Apparently, this new ride will be based on Monsters Inc. It will be a dark ride that will be based on the door scene from the movie. It also seems that the powers that be at Disney might be considering a new area at Disney Hollywood Studios dedicated to this ride. Of course everything is still in the concept stage and nothing has been finalized or given the green light yet. I for one find it interesting if this is really true because they have been working so hard on Toy Story Mania, I wouldn't think they would add two new rides so close to one another. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I'll keep you posted.

Price Increase At Disney World

Don't worry the admission price has not been increased, at least not for now. But the price you will pay to rent a stroller from Disney has gone up. So the best bet is to lug your own stroller with you if you are planning on taking a young one with you. Yes it will be a little inconvenient but it will save you some money.

If you are like me and love Disney movies, you better listen up. Disney has decided to announce a line up of upcoming animated features that will be out within the next four to five years.

Wall-E
story about what happens if everyone left Earth and one robot was left behind. This film is set to be released on July 18 in the United Kingdom.

Bolt
Tale of a dog who stars in a TV show and ends up on a cross-country journey when he realizes his on screen superpowers are not real. It is set to come out on February 13, 2009.

Tinker Bell
Straight to DVD release due out in October of this year.

Up
About an elderly man who gets a new lease on life and a chance to explore the world. Due out May 29, 2009.

Toy Story 3-D
This isn't the new movies just the first one being released in 3-D on October 2, 2009

Jungala Is Now Open At Busch Gardens

The long a waited Jungala is now open at Busch Gardens. I haven't been there yet myself but it looks like a lot of fun! The two rides that they have there look like they would be a blast. First is Jungle Flyers, where you soar through the air on a muilt-level zip line with three different flight patterns. The second ride is The Wild Surge, where you get shot straight out of the top of a waterfall and get dropped down 4 stories. This thrilling ride also gives you a great view of the jungle below.

There are plenty of animals to see there as well including the always entertaining Orangutans at Orangutan Outpost. There is also the Tiger Trail where you can see these beautiful cats. You can also explore a mysterious cave, and walk through a bamboo path that leads you to a underwater viewing of tigers swimming in their pools. Lastly, you have Kulu Canopy. This canopy has several different species there including the white-cheeked gibbons, flying foxes, and the tomistomas-which is a rare crocodile from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Jungala even offers an attraction called Tree-Top Trails which features climbing nets, bridges, crawl tubes and multi-level mazes. If you are looking for somewhere to cool off in the hot Florida sun you should try going to the children play area. It is equipped with surprising bursts of water coming from the ground.

Note: the cost to get into Busch Gardens is $64.95 for an adult and $54.95 for a child. If you want to purchase a discounted ticket you need to buy your tickets online. An adult ticket online is $54.95 and a child ticket is $54.95 as well, please note that you have t purchase these tickets 7 days before you plan to visit.

Prices have not be released yet but last year adult tickets were $43.62 and children tickets were $32.97 for advance purchases. Disney's Hollywood Studios

Journey into Narnia-is closed until summer of 2008 and will reopen as Prince Caspian

Americal Film Institute Showcase and AFI Showcase shop-is closed April 1-May 1, 2008. The backlot Tour will remain open, guests will exit around the sie of the building instead of through the shop.

Magic Kingdom

Minnie Country House- will be closed April 1-23 2008

All Star Resort- please not that the Grand Slam Pool will be closed from April 21- May 15, 2008

Just A Friendly Warning

The worst thing about going to Disney World is to find out after you get there that one of you favorite rides is closed for refurbishment. Well I wanted to warn everyone in advance that a very popular Disney ride is going to be closed for refurbishment from June 5 - June 18. The ride I'm referring to is Pirates of the Caribbean.
