The <a href="http://www.nike.com/fuelband/" target="_blank">Nike+ FuelBand</a>($150) is a wearable bracelet that uses a built-in three-axis accelerometer to track the time, your daily steps, calories expended, and NikeFuel — a normalized score based on oxygen kinetics that awards points equally regardless of physical makeup. You can track your activity using the Nike+ website by syncing over USB, or hook up with your smartphone over Bluetooth and suck data into an app. Integrated LEDs in the wristband keep you informed of your current status and give you an easy red-to-green goal indicator. <div>Also of note: Apple is is giving authors the ability to set their own prices as long as they remain $14.99 or under. Bye-bye to $200+ textbooks? (Yes, there’s still the cost of an iPad to consider).</div>
<div />
<div>NEW YORK—January 19, 2012—Apple® today announced iBooks® 2 for iPad®, featuring iBooks textbooks, an entirely new kind of textbook that’s dynamic, engaging and truly interactive. iBooks textbooks offer iPad users gorgeous, fullscreen textbooks with interactive animations, diagrams, photos, videos, unrivaled navigation and much more. iBooks textbooks can be kept up to date, don’t weigh down a backpack and never have to be returned. <div>The <a href="http://www.yotel.com/" target="_blank">Yotel</a> is a new concept hotel, inspired by the existing capsule hotels in Japan. This concept was created by Simon Woodroffe, whose idea was to create cabins with the comfort of a luxury hotel, but with an affordable price. The Yotel offers small rooms but comfortable and modern. The beds are of reasonable size and transform into couches at the touch of a button. All rooms have access to free wireless internet, fully equipped bathroom, desk and tv. The Yotel targets customers with several hours of waiting between flights, the minimum stay required is only four hours. Reservations are made online and check-in is done on interactive multimedia kiosks at the airport. You can book for London and Amsterdam airports, more should be available soon.</div>

<div style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 12px;">Porsche has just lifted the curtain on the newest version of their popular roadster, the Boxster. The overhauled drop top has a sleeker, curvier, and more aggressive appearance akin to its future stablemate, the 918 hybrid supercar. Power will come from your choice of a 265 horsepower 2.7 liter flat six ($49,500) or the top of the line “S” model ($60,900) which packs 3.4 liter with 315 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds.</div>
