Poor Jokes (PJ's) : a dying art

People with good sense of humour are really nice to hang out with . In first year , when i was new to this place , i met some people who were really great at making PJ's . Even i joined their company and found that even i m good at it . It was really brilliant cuz there were so many topics to be discovered and u just think about something for 2 mins and it will get u a mind blowing pj . But as time moved on people started getting busy with other things and the masters left the art whereas the amateurs took over . I dont remember when was the last time i made a joke . Now all we get are some crap forward pj's which make sense (thats why they are crap cuz pj's should be senseless something like navjot sigh sidhu) . For example : we are asked which bollywood actress doesnt have any friends ??? No money for answering this one . Yeah of course its koena mitra .

So thats how it has become now . But i still remember some ppl who totally revolutionised the pj industry by making the cid pj's . But that also stopped soon . Now we r in need of such people who can come up with some great pj's which will be remembered forever and their names will be taken along the greatest pjers ever . Still waiting for something like :

Dramatics

The semester is about to end ..... This one , if not the best can be counted as one of the best . Studies went on easily , placements for the seniors gave good hopes , then culturals were great and the football too . So all of it just made this semester the most eventful of all . And yeah i wont forget to mention the nail biting IPL matches and our drama (though we didnt win, but really a nice experience) . Some bad things were that i missed a lot of cat classes . But will try to be regular now .

Dramatics , something that i never thought i would do in my life . Thats what i enjoyed the most . We had a talented but lazy bunch of people with the team name AAKROSH . Script was pretty good especially the dialogues(thanks to sneha and pp) . We wanted it to be different from the last one (mercy killing) so we avoided a lot of crying scenes . The drama was based on mumbai for mumbaikars issue . Rahul played this extremist guy who follows ammaji (pp) blindly . Ammaji's sidekicks included Sneha and Vivek . And yeah Nupur (bechari) she was the neighbour . I was later made one bihari foolish who comes from some village to mumbai . Everything was well set . We practised a lot and based on our conventional belief we added an emotional scene at the end where seerat had to cry (we think thats how we won the previous dramas) .

So stage set for ks 10 and we performed . Our individual performance though was very good but certain glitches reduced the real shine of the play . But even then it was very well done team AAKROSH . I was very happy with my role (at least my team members loved it) . The finals were pretty tough with many teams performed really well and we didnt meke it in the top three . So what as if we care , the good thing is that i was called bihari babu even after two weeks of the play . Thats what college life is !!! and i m thankful to someone who helped me enjoy it : our very own mandira ji(seerat) . And yeah sorry to the whole team which totally scared cuz of our awesome fights during the practice .

Thats what it is found another passion that interests me : acting . And will be pretty thankful to the whole team for bearing me ....... love u all .

Mercury rising in Thanjavur

This semester has been the most uncomfortable one of my life . First i was sick for two weeks in february .That was really scary . Wasnt able to eat,sleep ,couldnt go to class and had nothing to do expect for lying on the bed like a dead body .Got two injections in the arse and that worked i think .Some how that part went off . And for some reason i believe that i fell sick cuz i told someone i never fall ill . Strange but i thought the almighty didnt like it :) .Bad patches do come but in this semester,there are many .The only good thing has been that i m getting very good marks this time .

Ok so we are deviating from the main problem which is the killing heat in my college . I have been through a lot of hot summers. Actually i used to like it. But this time ,its getting pretty tough to face . U come out of the class and u get to see the sun at its prime staring at you (its like burning in hell before death) . And then it gets so difficult to cover the distance from the class to the hostel . And when u reach the room , all the hopesof a peaceful slumber are shattered cuz there is no power . So totally , its like someone is roasting you (like they do with seek kababs) .

Whatever u do , there is no escaping this sun . But being an engineer , we are supposed to find solutions to every problem . Lets see some .... Girls usually go around with an umbrella . But guys are not supposed to do so . If u do , u might be termed as a gay (BRO CODE by Barney) . So thats not a solution . What i do is go to tifac (our browsing centre) where AC is on after 5 pm and spend some 2 hrs without opening more than 10 web pages . Then cola is another solution . (Again rose milk and coconut water is not meant for guys :) ). And yeah ice cream shop also which was opened in the college house was a good business . They are surely making more profit than a fresher engineer in a month . So whatever u do , this place sucks now . Solutions do help a little but there is no escaping the SUN GOD .

So just waiting for 28th may when i get to run away from this place and get home asap . Its hot in north also but at least one has the pleasure of 24hrs air conditioning and an lcd tv . So this is the best combination to keep oneself cool :)

Football is back

When we lost last sem , i thought it was over ..... Felt very bad whenever i thought about the moment . Dont know wat happened to me . Should have catch the ball . But my mind was totally lost i think and cuz of that , we lost to some team (the name is in tamil , so wont take the pain to type it) . And yeah were out of the tournament .

This semester again when the tournament started , i tried to stay away from the team . The others used to practice but i never showed up . They won the first match . In the second match , arvind asked me to come .... It went well . Didnt play though . But still was a part of the winning team :) . Then there was the next important match .The opposition was supposed to be good team . I played the full match , saved a one on one (yippi) . And we won 3-0 . Ok ashok and the black guy played well but so did i :) . The last match of the first round was with some B.Tech united (even kelso would come up wid a better name on his worst day ) . Whatever , it was a fourth year team , all strong big guys ........ It was a scary match . Our central defender(vishnu) was left with a fractured toe and he wont be playing .... And yeah Utsav also got injured in his leg ... But by the end of it we won 1-0 ........ and were through to the quarters .

The quarterfinal was against a strong second year team (again a tamil name which i dont know how to type) . We defended really well . I got a lot of self confidence after playing that match , though most of the shots were cleared by the OX . It was nil all at the end . Match went into penalties where we lost 2-1 . But overall it was one of the best matches i ever played and by far my best performance .

And really after this one , i m not scared at all . I would love to play football whenever i get a chance ..... It was an awesome experience playing for my team "DEFAULT" and can play for two more tournaments . I just want to keep improving and yeah i want to get into the football team of the college from where i pursue my MBA . Before this i like to support football clubs cuz the players were all cool but now I love football :)

My country and not my state

Some days back in my classroom , there was an aggressive discussion going on and the topic was "Which state is better : UP or Bihar ? " . Actually there were four of us sitting on the last bench unaware of the lecture of our dean . Two guys were from Bihar and two including me from UP . There were a number of arguments placed including the history , education , industries , politics and almost everything . Nobody could reach any conclusion by the end . Thanks to some questions asked by our dean ( who can't remember my name and has started calling me afridi ) , we had to route our mind back to some numerical problem .

INDIA also needs a dean like this (not sure what new names will be in store then ) who can divert our brain from cheap mutual fights and regionalism towards the real issues of life . Why can't we follow the countries like Japan,Germany,etc , where the nationalism is the driving force for the country ? Killing and fighting with our own countrymen won't lead us anywhere . Telangana issue has again put INDIA in a state of chaos . TRS leader , K.Chandrashekhar Rao's fasting did the trick and centre in a state of confusion announced the division . What happened afterwards is well known .........

Demands for so many new states was made . Harit Pradesh , Bundelkhand , Poorvanchal from Uttar Pradesh , then Vidharbha from Maharashtra , Saurashtra from Gujarat , Bodoland from Assam and many else . It has become a hot issue for the politicians . Politicians who demand new states might be thinking that since we don't have a portfolio in this state's government . If a new state is made , we might get in there . That's the formula to success for our leaders . Is it not ???
Yes it is , that's why we also saw some demands which seemed pretty funny . There was appeal to carve out a new state from Karnataka called Kodagu , which contains only one district and a population of just 4 lacs .

In Maharashtra , the new slogan for the opportunist politicians is "Mumbai for Marathis" . Beating up people from other states is the agenda for election . Such type of people are the main cause of misleading the people . Attacking news channels , houses of respected personality , politicians and people from other states is the main way of getting limelight . That means the people who have faith in nationalism are not safe in Maharashtra . The political parties need to back home and revise their history lessons . Learn something from Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Gopal Krishna Gokhale . Don't they remember that the NSG commandos , who killed the terrorists who attacked Mumbai were from all parts of the country including North India ??

But they committed some mistakes . The biggest one was attacking Sachin Tendulkar and Shahrukh Khan . These two men have strong support and have contributed far more to the nation in terms of taxes and goodwill , than the sena can ever do . Moreover the sainiks who were protesting outside Shahrukh's house and asking him to go Pakistan have never contributed anything to the country or its freedom . Did they know that Khan's father , Taj Mohammad Mir was a freedom fighter ? These baseless attacks are eroding the support base which sena has . Similarly the famous and educated people of the country should come together and speak out if something is wrong . That will cause the doom of these goons .We are seeing that the common man is understanding the intentions of these type of guys .

By the downfall of these radical elements only , we will be able to fulfill the dreams of ex - President , Mr. Kalam . I want everyone to remember that we are all Indians irrespective of our states . Stop this violence on the basis of caste , religion and region . And for the political goons out there , would like to say to you
