I know that I JUST had Bekah's birthday party, but I am already thinking of ideas for next year. I ABSOLUTELY love black and yellow together and I since Bekah loves (no, like REALLY LOVES) bugs, a BEE theme party would be perfect for her. The Carnival is Coming to Town

Spring time is almost here. And so is the time to start getting ready for another party. My Sweet Boo ill be turning 5 in May, and we are planning a carnival to celebrate. Alice In Wonderland Parties

The trouble with having a birthday in February is that the weather is so unpredictable. Here in Northern Arizona February is still very much the middle of winter, so I knew while planning Aubrey's birthday with her friends that it would have to be an inside affair. However, when planning her family party in Mesa, I had great vision for sunshine, green grass, and games of croquet. Well, nature had other plans and it was another cold, wet, rainy weekend. But you know me, the party must go on! So, after setting up everything on my wonderful Aunt's patio, seeing the hurricane winds blow in, then re-setting everything indoors, the party finally happened.
The party in Mesa was also special because we joined it with My Aunt Rita who turned 70, with My little cousin who turned 7, and my sweet Aubrey! And that day it wasn't any of their actual birthdays so it really was a "Very Merry Unbirthday!"

The party is Mesa was so much fun. We had everyone wear hats for the Mad Hatter Tea Party, showed the classic cartoon (that a lot of people hadn't seen) and ate, and ate, and ate!

I can't believe how fast time flies! My sweet Aubrey was born 6 years ago, February 4th, on a snowy day, 5:34 am, in Bethesda, Maryland. I always tell her how special she is because SHE is the one that made us a Mommy and Daddy! I love this little girl so much and am in awe of her constantly!

Christmas Time...

We PACKED our Christmas with activities. During Christmas Break I was home maybe three nights. It was exhausting, but so much fun! We started the break down in the valley. McCormick Train Park, shopping, Zoo Lights, shopping, Phoenix First Assembly Christmas Pageant, shopping, Glendale Glitters, shopping, the AZ Festival of Lights, and of course shopping! We had Christmas at my Mom's house and the next day we were off to Disneyland - courtesy of my in-laws. Great trip despite record number of people (100k) rainy conditions, and of course snow on the way home. I had to go back to work to take a break!

Remembering Dad

It's been a little over two months since my Dad passed away. It doesn't get any easier with time...at least not yet. My coping mechanism is to be super busy all the time. It works for the most part. But with Christmas almost here I miss him more than ever. Eventually I will get a tribute post up. (When I have the capacity to go through all the pictures again) but here are some beautiful (weird to say considering the circumstance) pictures of the funeral that my cousin Becky took. I love you Daddy! Merry Christmas!!

Our Busy September

First Day of School

I can't believe my sweet Aubrey is in Kindergarten!! I am so excited for! Her first week went great and she acted like she has been going to school for years. Rebekah is still going to preschool and this will be her first time not having her older sis with her all day. I think it's going to be great for both of them. It was my first day as well! I am really excited about this school year. I have huge classes, but he kids seem really great. Also this year I am teaching a journalism class - finally using my degree!! Ha Ha!! Rolland starts school in about a week so all of us will be in school (I am getting a second degree). He thinks he is going to change his degree to Tourism / Hospitality Management. He would be perfect at that! I am really excited for this year's opportunities for all of us!

Fun With My Girls' Hair

Before I was a working woman I used to do a bunch of crazy stuff with my girl's hair. I love making "art" of their hair-dos. But then work started and I resulted back to the boring stuff. So as we gear up to start another school year my goal is to bring some of that creativity back. I wish I could take the credit for all the fantastic hair ideas, but I can't, there are some amazing bloggers out there dedicated to making little girls look FABULOUS!!! We are FINALLY fully moved in, painted, and decorated! And I even hosted my first party - the house is officially broken in. Home Sweet Home

So we are moving. Again. I have realized that since getting married I have moved 6 times. Aubrey has moved more times than years alive! HA! Well now we are officially Taylor, AZ residents. We got a cute little house and right now it looks like a bomb hit it, so no pictures yet! Hopefully I can get it in some sort of order before school starts....

San Diego Vacation

We decided to take a quick vacation to San Diego before all the craziness of moving into our new house. (2 more weeks!!) We only stayed for a couple of nights but did a lot. We went to Sea World, Balboa Park, Mission Beach, and La Jolla. It would have been perfect, but the high temperature was only about 67! Regardless, Rolland and the girls went into the water - I sat on my towel taking pictures!!

Scottsdale Mini Vacation

We had a little mini vacation to celebrate the end of the school year. We took the girls to Scottsdale for swimming, shopping, and Shrek! Then spent an AMAZING day at the Point Squaw Peak Resort. Lazy river, buffets, water slides, a crazy amount of pools, great drinks....yeah the reservations are already made for another weekend get away in June!

2010 Dance Returns to Wonderland

All of our hard work finally paid off! My dance studio - Raising the Barre, put on an awesome production. I have been teaching dance for years, but this is the first production I have been in since high school. I was in a contemporary dance with my great friend and owner of the studio, Johnnie, and also a hip-hop dance with my advanced girls. Rebekah did an adorable ballet number and Rebekah was a little tapping mouse. So sweet! My younger hip hop class did great too! It was so much fun, but I am ready for a break!

I can't believe my little girl is already 4!! She is not a baby anymore..sniff, sniff! We had a small family get together at the McCormick Train Park in Scottsdale. It was just family but Bekah-Boo had so much fun with family! Work is getting in the way of my major party planning, but I already have ideas for next year's bash!! (hee, hee!)
