Gossip Guy meets Binondo Guy

This really caught me out when watching Gossip Girl and Binondo Girl. Two of the leading men were really kinda similar when it comes with their good-looking faces.

Meet Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl, born in Hammersmith, London on June 27, 1987. Grew up in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and trained at the National Youth Theatre in London. His early career began with appearances on British television series Doctors as Holden, Casualty as Johnny Cullin and Afterlife as Darren. In 2007, he was cast-in the teen drama series Gossip Girl as Chuck Bass which made him as one of the 2008's Sexiest Men Alive by People Magazine.

Ed earned two awards in 2008 and 2009 for Best TV Villain at the Teen Choice Awards, and was named Breathrough Talent by GQ in 2010.

Now, let's meet Alexander Xian Cruz Lim Uy, a Filipino-Chinese model actor. Also known as Xian Lim, he landed his first major acting role when he was cast-in the TV adaptation of 2009 film Katorse. Xian is a contract artist of Star Magic which made him starred few minor roles in Rubi as Luis Navarro.

Xian is studying Management at the University of the East where he was also a member of the university's men's basketball varsity team.

Saan Ka Man Naroroon: Another Teleserye Remake

Teleserye Remake has been a breakthrough to primetime television. The remake of "Mara Clara" made a nationwide success that brought soaring high ratings and popularity of two of the most promising teenage actors in their generation, Kathryn Bernardo a.k.a. "Mara" and Julia Montes a.k.a. "Clara". After the said huge success, ABS-CBN made another remake of "Mula Sa Puso" which was starred by Claudine Barretto way back in 1997. The said remakes once again proved that Filipinos are still fond of watching the old-school teleseryes that have been part to every household.

After "Mara Clara", Kathryn Bernardo will be doing a remake of "Esperanza" which was starred by Judy Ann Santos on 1997. And now, another rumor that fast spreading that another teleserye remake will be aired soon on ABS-CBN. "Saan ka man Naroroon" was aired on 1999 which is starred by Claudine Barretto, Rico Yan, and Diether Ocampo. A story of triplet sisters that never thought that their lives will once be one again. Three lives, three faces, ONE destiny..

As part of this remake will be Julia Montes a.k.a. "Clara", who will portray the lives of Rosario, Rosemarie and Rosenda. This will be a sure-fire hit in primtime watching.

A letter for Mama

My Dearest Mama,

Thank you for being the person that has been conceived by God to be my guide, teacher, and even the provider through the 29 years of my existence. For being the person who didn’t gave my birth instead the one who gave full responsibility as a mother. For my shoulder when I cried to the time that I knew I was not your eldest son and the one who accepted me when I said my true being. My “kumare” when we used to share about anything in life, my impulsive shopping buddy that buys anything as long as we have money on our pockets and my master chef who taught me how to cook delicious food that most of friends loved it.

Even that our family faced a lot of trials, you never stumble; instead you face it without impossibilities. Thank you for saying “Pasensya muna kayo ngayon…”, whenever we don’t have “baon” for school or even enough food to eat – this didn’t falter me, instead gave me inspiration to move on with high hopes. Thank you for the patience and for enduring the days that we were still kids especially when Papa was still in Bahrain. Thank you for showing your strength and bravery to the times that we were being condemned, neglected by our own relatives.

Today is your day, a day to give honor to a mother like you. Our light, our refuge, and our comfort. We love you very much and you know that.

FILIPINO: a unified language of people in the Philippines

The Filipino language comprises of 116 dialects that are commonly used by its people as their means of communication in different parts of the Philippine archipelago. Some of the major dialects used are Tagalog, Ilocano, Kampampangan, Batangueño, and Bikolano in Luzon; Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Antiqueño, Ilonggo, Karay-a, Boholanon and Waray in the Visayas; and Bisaya, Maguindanaonon and Chavacano in Mindanao. All of these dialects are still being used by its locals until now, and this preserves our culture as a Filipino.

It is so amazing when travelling the Philippines, because you left one part of the country and land on another part of the country and the people doesn't seem sound the same. For example, your flight is from Manila to Cebu. Manila uses Tagalog as their dialect, so when they greet you Good Morning!, they will say "Magandang Umaga!". And when you arrive in Cebu, they will greet you again Good Morning!, saying "Maayong Buntag!". Filipino does not differs only on words but also in accent, intonation, and pronunciation.

I was born as a Cebuano but raised in Mindanao. My mother is Kampampangan and my father is an Ilocano. At home, we use a mixture of Tagalog and Bisaya. But when I'm with friends, I talk in Bisaya and Ilonggo since there are lots of Ilonggos in Southern Mindanao. That means I can speak Cebuano, Bisaya, Tagalog, Ilonggo and somehow speaks and understands Kapampangan and Ilocano dialects.

Tagalog as a Subject

The diversity and complexity of Filipino language makes me somehow confused because there is only one dialect that is being practiced by most Filipinos, and that is Tagalog. For many years of studying, grade school, high school and college, Filipino has been always a subject for all students, yet one question remained hanging on my mind, Why Tagalog?

There were many instances that I have debated this question with my Filipino teachers from High School and College that resulted of my low grades during finals.

A debate is an art of reasoning and how you defend your own side by giving insights and ideas of a certain subject. But having this debate will only question me, Am I a Filipino?

Tagalog became the "National Language" as selected by the Surian ng Wikang Pambansa (National Language Institute) on July 14, 1936 as based on the following factors:

Tagalog is widely spoken and mostly understood by most Filipinos - my Filipino teachers asks me this question, Are you a Filipino? Then why don't you speak Tagalog? It's obvious that I'm a Filipino, and speaking my own dialect does not affect of being a Filipino.

Literary tradition which means more books are written in Tagalog - this was 1936, right? no computers and still using the typewriter.

Not divided into smaller and divided languages like Visayan or Bikol - Not the whole Luzon speaks Tagalog.

Tagalog has always been used in Manila (the nation's capital) - It is only used in Mega Manila and nearby provinces.

Was used during the 1896 revolution (a part of Philippine History) - Was Lapu-lapu spoke Tagalog during 1521? This was also a part of history.

Tagalog VS. English

Philippines is known as to be the second country in the world who knows how to speak and understand English language. On the other hand, it is one of the basic subjects that had molded me to be more confident that made me achieved my current job.

But another question is that why most Filipino Masters a.k.a. "Tagalog Advocates" really wanted to make Tagalog as the main language to be used in teaching. As what it was transcribe, other subject in English will be changed to Tagalog or "Filipino". Here are the following:

Civics and Culture - Sibika at Kultura
Music, Arts and Physical Education - Musika, Sining at Palakasan
Mathematics - Matematika
Science and Technology - Siyensya at Teknolohiya

Would they also want to make English as Ingles? How would be our future generation be competitive enough in the global manpower if Tagalog will be the approach in their subjects in school. The quality of education nowadays is getting to its lowest point and all we need to do is to change this.

A new Filipino subject

Why don't we change the Filipino subject into a more formal, non-discriminating, much informative way of approach. Instead of just learning Tagalog as a language, why don't we give some basic introduction of some major dialects here in the Philippines. It is like integrating Filipino and Sibika at Kultura. With this approach, students would appreciate Filipino language in a non-confusing way.

Truly, basketball has been the Pinoys best game of all times. After the legendary sipa and tumbang preso, Filipinos are now more enthusiastic in playing games which we adopted from foreign land. First was basketball, who would never forget the NBA's legend Micheal Jordan of Chicago Bulls that soon we had also our own version of PBA. Second was billiard that made Efren "Bata" Reyes famous through his magic billiard tricks. Third was in bowling with Paeng Nepomuceno that gave winning strikes to our country and last was boxing by the pound-for-pound king Manny "PacMan" Paquiao, that gave unending knock-out recognition to our mother land. These were just some of the most achievements of our beloved Filipino athletes who conquered not just the records but the world.

According to the FIFA, Philippines ranked # 152 while Mongolia ranks # 182.

But who would ever thought that football would be Filipinos' next favorite game. As recent events last year, Philippines has been recognized for being one of the best players of football in the recent AFF Suzuki Cup 2010. It made us believe that Filipinos are also best when it comes to football. And the time has come to witness and feel the Philippine AZKALS on the move since the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup will be held in Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City, Philippines.

FEBRUARY 9, 2011:

The date is set to make the best goal of the night for Philippines vs. Mongolia in the 16,000 people capacity of Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City. A jam-packed number of people from different parts of the country flocked the stadium since early afternoon that some spectators weren't able to come in due to lack of tickets.

The game started at 7:00 pm with the enormous crowd cheering for the Philippine team. Emilio Caligdong scored the first goal for the Philippines that tricked the goalie of the Blue Wolves on the 42nd minute. The second goal was from Phil Younghusband in the 92nd minute.

The game ended with a 2-0 score favored to the Philippine AZKALS. Once again Filipino pride has flourished the Panaad grounds with jubilation and once proved that Filipinos can do it.

The Earth relies on our hands but it seems, it's too late...

We are being overwhelmed with today's news in every corner of the globe. Flash-floods in every continent, exceeding the average rainfall in every month, strong winds even there were no storm signals, landslides on the countrysides, sudden change of whether in a day, and the never-ending rising of sea levels in every parts of the globe; these are just the effects of this so called "Climate Change" which a result from Global Warming. Climate change has been the new name since there were sudden abnormalities to our everyday whether, for me it is the event that will change human lives forever.

As what is said, God created Earth and it is us humans who has the responsibility to take care of its beauty and riches. Yet man has been so abusive over His creation and turned Earth to dearth.

Man has lived to its wildest dreams, dreams that made Earth as his own world of fascination and wonder. Man built skyscrapers instead of planting trees, widen mountains for future housing projects instead for its rehabilitation against deforestation, made the air and water black due to industrialization, and made rivers and lakes as garbage dump sites.

Some of us cared for our Earth to live, campaigning on Earth's survival, war against illegal logging, garbage, campaigning for clean water and air, etc.; but did these things prevented climate change to happen? The answer is "NO". Climate change is already happening and will still be happening in the years to come. We have come to our fate, and that is to suffer the consequences on the things that we thought would last.

Honestly, no one can save Earth, not even one of us. We may have prevented this before, few decades back; but we chose to live for our own convenience that now turned out to be our inconvenience. Many lives were already taken and millions will follow; all we need is our strong faith and perseverance to survive with this ordeal.

It is so vivid that all of us has contributed to Earth's destruction and as to our extinction. We only see of what we can see, and hear of what we only can hear; we tend to revive our own habitat but I think, IT IS TOO LATE!

SINULOG FESTIVAL 2011: The sights, the sounds, the dance

It is called as "The mother of all Festivals" and one of the foundations of Filipino tradition. Sinulog has been a celebration for devotees of Sr. Santo Niño for the past 31 years. Started on 1980, Sinulog became a tradition of Cebuanos every third Sunday of January in honor to blessed Sr. Santo Niño (child Jesus).

The sights

Before the New Year comes, colorful sights will flourish the busy streets of Cebu in preparation of the festivities. Tarpaulin signages, multicolored buntings, and Santo Niño shrines that are especially built for the occasions, are visible in different parts of the city.

The word Sinulog comes from the Cebuano adverb sulog which is "like water current movement," which describes the forward-backward movement of the Sinulog dance. The dance consists of two steps forward and one step backward, done to the sound of drums.

Nicos: The new face of TV Commercials

Commercial-serye (commercial series) have been so famous that most advertisers do it. Because of it's simple approach to the masses, it became the avenue for some commercial models to be famous and known to public eye. Have you forgot "Lumen" of Surf, who started the commercial seryes in the Philippines that made the product known to the masses; Max's Fried Chicken of Piolo Pascual with a touch of love and romance; and many others.

Maybe you will be so familiarized with this guy from the neighborhood that touched a lot of gals in the Philippines. He has been with different commercials and TV guesting on some of the shows on local TV. I don't know him or even a fan but I'm willing to be one because i'm fond of watching his commercials on TV. He is famous to be called "Nicos" on his commercial for Nestea - Philippines, that captivated every girls heart and girls at heart.

His name is Neil Coleta, born on August 4, 1991 and now 21 years old. For me he is one of the most famous commercial model in the Philippines. With his few commercial endorsements like Voice Cracker Sandwich, and SMART, he became famous with his commercial in Nestea where he played as "Nicos", a young guy who turn out was busted by his ultimate crush "Mattina" and was very sad when Mattina dumped him.

NEW YEAR 2011: The Countdown is over...

New Year is the day that people bond as one. Where high hopes converge for one aim, and that is Unity, Peace, Triumph, Love and best of all more blessings. We wish for good luck for every year that comes and a farewell to those years that passed. Amazingly, life has it's own way of dealing hardships and trials over the years that we have existed.

I find my life to be so colorful as what people would say. Why? Because I have been too different as what others don't feel the same way. Whenever the year ends, it always remind me of the same reminder that was set off last year; and that is making your own New Years Resolution.

This is the only thing that I don't make every year but instead I instill it in my mind every now and then. Now, there has been no resolution for me because the solution has never realized since I started to think of it. And the best way to do is just forgetting everything and just do my own thing to achieve it. Instead of making my own resolution for this year 2011, I will make a different way and that is the resolution of others for me.

LOOSE WEIGHT - people tend to judge me for over-eating, no exercise, and future candidate of heart attack, stroke, cancer and many others. They usually say that they were just so concerned of my lifestyle for having this big gorgeous BOWDAY!!! Yah, all of you deserves a thank you, but the dilemma that seeks answers by controlling myself from eating and tons of exercise will soon a big frustration on the next six months. The more stress and the more pressure means more chances of getting to the graveyard due to fatigue.

SAVE MONEY - hahaha... I'm a compulsive buyer, what I see is what I'll buy and sometimes, what I need is what's being compromised. I want to save but again don't pressure myself to save and save because, the more that I think I still have money, the more I crave to spend. It's not that I spend it with expensive stuff as what rich people do, but I spend my money wisely as I could. Of course, I don't want to compromise food because that will ruin the first resolution.

SMOKING - this was not a habit not until I started in getting used to its taste. A habit that is so hard to stop for others but for me would be easy until I reach the age of 30. I promised myself to stop from using it; but for now, I want to enjoy every moment I puff a stick of cigarette. I am very keen to the number of sticks I consume in a day, and I'm glad that a pack of ten sticks would last for two days. Let's say that I consume for five sticks in a day. The problem is when I go to parties and drinking sessions, where i consume double as what I target in a day.

ALCOHOL - the same with smoking, both of these vices started at the same time. When I drink, I smoke. It's like water and air, you can't live without it. Well, everything for me has its own time, and soon I will quit with it. Though our body needs alcohol, it's not a reason for me to be drunk all the time. The same as food and smoke, I take moderately. Too much is too bad, and know your limitations.

OTHERS - comments on my first impression that I'm so snobbish. I think all you have to do is just to accept it.

Maybe these are the things that most people would want me to have it on my New Year's resolution. We have our own prerogative to do or not to do these on our lists. It's all about discipline and self control for us to avoid the following.

Lastly, learn to accept for who we are. If you need to change something or if you want to improve something that would result positively, then go ahead! Bottom-line is, we are all human in this world that needs to improve and to learn more of it's nature. Each has it's time; a time to change, a time to grow even from this world full of pride and prejudice.

I am very overwhelmed of this week's events that I am almost fed-up of the recent Hostage taking in Manila and the Miss Universe 2010 pageant. Most of the news whether in television, radio, newspaper and even in the office are these two "Major-Major" happenings this August, 2010. Right now for 2011, another major crisis had just woke us in reality.

I. MAJOR 1: Manila Hostage Crisis

It was a cloudy Monday morning when a tourist bus was being hostage by an ex-policeman Rolando Mendoza. There were 21 Hong Kong nationals, a bus driver, a Filipino tour-guide, and a Tse (a Hong Kong tour-guide), on the Hong-Thai bus that time. Negotiators had came to ask for what the hostage-taker wanted, and the ex-policeman wanted to have his case be filed for reconsideration on the office of the Ombudsman, since Mendoza was accused of Extortion as a result of dismissal from the service on 2009.

The negotiations was in a smooth sail during the day when Mendoza was still considerate to have the hostage victims had their lunch and even some of the victims were freed especially children and the old ones. Afternoon came and the Mendoza was impatient enough with the slow-paced negotiations with the authorities. On the other hand, the media was on a live coverage with what was happening on the Quirino Grandstand, with its never-ending flash reports on TV that somehow made the crisis worse.

Evening came when the warrant-less arrest of Rolando's younger brother SPO2 Gregorio Mendoza was seen on TV that triggered Rolando's anger by killing the tourists inside the bus. Since that the bus had a television, this was the eye of Rolando to see on what was happening outside. After the first shot was fired, the police came to the rescue with their mallet, tear gas, and machine guns. Rolando was shot dead and also their were 8 tourists killed after the assault. Lastly, who are to be blamed with this tragic end?

There are lots of "what if's" on my head when I saw what happened on TV and these are, what if the media had limited their scope of authority. Considering that the bus has a television and this could be the best spy of the hostage-taker during the assault. I know that media is all about freedom, but sometimes, too much freedom can be abusive that can result in this kind of tragedy.

Police

What I saw in TV was not a real rescue but a drill. It was like practicing for an upcoming drill exercise. It was embarrassing to watch how our police acted that time, as if they don't know what they are doing and were afraid of what was inside the bus. Have they forgotten their pledge as protector and security?

What Now???

Our country just started a new administration and now we faced another embarrassing image throughout the globe. No one of us wanted to happen this and no one deserves to be blamed. We are now judged by the affected country which is Hong Kong, and there were even reports that our fellow OFWs were being fired by their employers due to the hostage crisis. Recent reports says that Philippines was block listed by Hong Kong to be traveled which is not a good sign for our tourism industry.

January 25, 2011 (Tuesday) when a bomb exploded inside a public utility bus (PUB) along Buendia Avenue and EDSA at around 2:00 in the afternoon. On the initial report, there were 2 people killed and 17 people wounded. On the next day, there were all 4 casualties ( 3 males and a female). Different angles were being investigated on what caused the bombings. Some say that it was a destabilization plot against the Aquino administration since the bombings was dated to his late mother's birthday Cory C. Aquino.

President Benigno Aquino III (PNOY) immediately denied the allege theory for the purpose of the bombings was just a terrorist attack and quoted “Let’s look at the evidence first before passing judgment. I don’t want to libel anybody. I have my suspicions but I could not engage in speculations.” As of this date, investigations are still ongoing and following some leads for future prospects.

Justified mistake

How far will you go just to win a friend? How eager are you to hide your own mistakes just to accuse a supernatural belief? And how desperate are you to blame your physical weaknesses?

These are just the questions that keeps boggling my mind every time those people post their pathetic shout-outs on social networking sites. Maybe you are thinking also the same question; WHY?

SPARK-FIRE-FLAMES

I have been so tired of listening different versions of the story and the worst is, it never ended in a simple exchange of dialogues but instead, had it done in cyber space, the Internet. The story started with a simple so called "joke", exchange of text messages, then BOOM!!! It started as a slight spark that eventually ignited into fire and soon to a huge flame. The situation can be handled if they just talked then settled the issue as soon as possible, but due to differences, they decided to extend the agony through their prides.

The team was starting to falter and was trying to cope with the situation that many had thought that it will just come into pass. But it was just a start of bigger and a much complicated one.

Neutrally Bias

I am a neutral person who doesn't take sides on certain issues, thus I gave my own opinion and ideas in solving small issues. I have been to many groups and jobs, and experience is my best teacher that had molded me to be a better person. But in other cases, you really cannot teach old dogs to learn new tricks, isn't it? The issue was so simple, it's all about personal differences and the answer is just too simple as well, it is called acceptance.

Supernatural

This is not about the TV series but it is all about the second chapter of the previous issue that made me so blown that lead me to conclusion, it was all about sorcery. How in the world that the cause of its severe oral sores and its seizures were from black magic and sorcery? At first, I was into a make believe situation and was shocked on why a certain friend can do that. I made a distance from her and even changed my profile name on Facebook because I was afraid that I might be the next victim of this sorcery thing.

I was hesitant to her offers, like food, drinks etc. until I asked myself, why am I doing this to her and judged her as to be someone whom was never been different to me. And everything went into revelation.

Division of the house

This was a tough decision to make, to whom will I stand? the -chosen few- or the -selected ones-.. But I chose to be chosen by the few than to be selected by people who categorizes their friends. I finally found people who criticizes me the most than making fun of me, because these are the people whom are true, criticizes you NOT because that they are perfect but they want you to improve out of something you lack. They are not "user-friendly" friends that only manipulates your weaknesses to take their own advantage.

COLD WAR

The issue was not yet resolved even it reached to the higher authorities, but instead, it made an avenue for competition. It was all about, hearsay, back-fights, and gossips. They even accused her to have made sorcery as a result of the hospitalization of one of them which happens to be diagnosed by her doctor as asthma. Most of the times were dirty tactics, unhealthy competition that even lead to selfish working habits. I almost wanted to give up because of the working environment that its not too friendly to see and experience, but why I should be affected when my purpose is to work.

And now, the war has not yet stopped but eventually reached to the internet where they claimed as they were on the right side and God will be with them.

"Good things happen to good people"

As a conclusion to this never ending accusations and cold wars, I will address this to those people who were affected and also to the "too affected" ones. This is a all about pride, and nothing but pride, plus the fact that there are also people who want to take advantage of the situation.

You feared God the most right? But where is your faith to God? It turned out that your faith was washed out by those fortune-tellers whom you consulted first before your creator. How in the world that you can accuse a person for doing such a thing as sorcery, when there was a diagnosis from a doctor. Are you afraid of the reality that it was not anymore normal but a symptom of a greater infection?

Why can't you tell everybody that it was really sorcery that happened to your misfortunes in life? Are you afraid that the issue is too sensitive or maybe not everybody will not believe you or just laugh about it or the worst is, would know about your real identity?

Why you have to accuse somebody just to convince that you are really a friend? It's evidently that you are loosing people because of being a blabbermouth. You tend to make statements that was not even uttered by the person. But when you are confronted, you tend to deny it and upbraid your self acclaimed kindness.

As I don't want to be in the issue, I have been part of it since the accusations started. I don't care if you say that I should mind my own business and not your own prerogative, because accusing a person is NOT also your prerogative but by God. I know where I should stand, and that is knowing the right thing.

The Chronicles of NARNIA: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

NARNIA a place with no ending possibilities. I was once introduced to this film by my friends which happens to be watching it when I pass by. Though I'm too hesitant to watch it because it was unrealistic, I chose to stay and watched the film from start to finish. I thought the movie was just awful as I expected because for me it was purely for kids, at heart. Surprisingly, things changed in a bit for 30 minutes where I gave myself a chance to watch and fully understand it. And now, after watching the first part NARNIA: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and NARNIA: Prince Caspian, I can't wait for the 3rd book which is NARNIA: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

I am not a fan of epic-fantasy movies like "The Lord of the Rings" and "Harry Potter" or even had the chance to watch it in theaters or cable channels; but Narnia got my heart, my childish heart. I have known Narnia as a book on 1950's and had shows on television (1967), radio (1980), stage (1984), games (1984), and in film.

NARNIA: Prince Caspian

It was in the year 2005 when the new Chronicles of NARNIA hit the big screen again. Both NARNIA: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and NARNIA: Prince Caspian are produced by Walt Disney but on it's third film NARNIA: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, it will be produced by 20th Century Fox. The story will be the return of Lucy (Georgie Henley) and Edmund (Skandar Keynes) to Narnia together with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) for a trip across the sea, aboard with the ship called The Dawn Treader.

The world release will be on December 10, 2010; but before you get to see movie, watch the trailer first.

True people are hard to find...

You may wonder why I wrote this blog... The answer? It's just so simple because I can relate to it very much... I have come to different types of jobs and most of them I gain a lot of friends, I mean many of it. But there's something in my mind that bothers me most, are they really friends? or just passers-by that would simply make you laugh and smile. Here are some of the most quotable words that I have learned along with my experiences.

"We're not friends, but were just office-mates."

Plainly simple yet so complex... I have learned this from one of my close office-mates which woke me to reality. It is so true because when you work, it's just work. And it is very natural to have somebody to be your close pal but not eventually as a friend. When we mean a friend, it is someone whose always there for you, will be there when you are down, appreciates your capabilities and corrects your faults. It is like going for the extra mile, giving you something that you least expect it, like a simple piece of bread, or packed lunch perhaps. That's what I can say that you are really a true friend.

A true friend is someone who criticizes on what are you wearing, what you say and what you do. It not minding your own business or do your own thing. There are some people whom you thought was your friend but the truth is, they just use you for a purpose. A purpose that would be a big help for their own advantage. I call these people as "User Friendly" because they can easily manipulate their victims through their strengths like money, fame or influence.

"We're not meant to be friends, Goodbye!."

This is the most childish line of all time. A friend is breaking with a friend? When I first heard this, I can't help but to laugh because I can't believe that a self-acclaimed matured person was not really mature enough in weighing friendship over a childish way of thinking. I can say that maturity doesn't count on how old person is, but it's all about the experiences the person had in order to think in a mature way.

This is a lame, narrow, and pathetic approach that would make you say, I am very lucky to loose such an immature friend...

"Bitterness means Goodbye..."

This means, not accepting the fact that you've been hurt by just loving a person or being rejected by it, only means that you are worthless as a person. Learn to forgive and move on, don't be a narrow minded person that only thinks for own sake, then hatred follows. It's too immature! It's painful to accept but that is the fact. We started as friends but you ended us as like enemies. Tomorrow you will realize everything if you already learned how to forgive and forget.

DEMAND NOW: Paranormal Activity 2

Have you tried sleeping in your room alone and no one is in the house but only you? Along the stillness of the night, you heard footsteps outside of your room that seemingly walks towards your room and suddenly you hear scratches on the wall that gives you the eerie feeling. Then the door starts to open as if there was a strong wind blowing around you and BANG!!!

This was the feeling when I watched the movie Paranormal Activity last 2009 which gave me hair raising goosebumps and even sleepless nights. It was one of a kind experience that I can't ever imagine to such a horrific movie.

The Recap: Paranormal Activity

This was the story of a middle class couple Katie and Micah living in a urban village. The couple happen to record their lifestyle and especially their sleeping moments on camera just track a some kind of a paranormal activity. Since Micah is not convinced with idea of having just recording it, they also did some options like inviting a medium and even buying an Ouija board which is my eeriest part of the movie. The movie went along when the couple experienced series of paranormal activities that resulted to sleepless nights and unresolved puzzle. Until on the last day where Katie was possessed by an unknown spirit whom was following her since she was still a kid. To end the movie, Micah was stabbed by the possessed Katie then the police came.

Though the movie was not real with new actors Micah Sloat and Katie Featherston who played the lead roles plus the overall budget of $11,000, the movie never became a flop but an ultimate success, with the world wide box office of $107, 917, 283, this only proves that making a movie doesn't mean to have a big budget for capital but have to make it more realistic and appealing to the movie goers.

As a return of this huge success, Paramount pictures presents another horrifying movie this 2010.

The Last Airbender: Will this be the last?

Water... Earth... Fire... Air...

"Long ago the four nations lived together in harmony then everything changed when the fire nation attacked. Only the Avatar master of all four elements could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A 100 years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an air bender named Aang. And although his air bending skills were great, he has a lot to learn before he could save anyone. But I believe, Aang can save the world."

This has been clinging my head every time when I remember the cartoon series that had stuck me for days just to finish the whole story. A story that really gave me laughs and sometimes teary eyed moments. It started when my very close friends introduced this cartoon series when he was watching it. Since that I'm not fond anymore to cartoons, I was too hesitant to watch it every time they invite me to do so.

Book 1: WATER; Book 2: EARTH and Book 3: FIRE

After the painstaking Book 1: Water, then the humorous Book 2: Earth, a much serious Book 3: Fire and the sighs of the last battle. All was worth for watching, until the my expectations come true when I knew that this will be a movie for the Summer of 2010. Too much of my waiting since last year, I researched every detail of what could be the movie look like. Will the cast be great? Will the bending effects be perfect? Will the four nations that real? It built so much curiosity that I watched trailers and spoilers on Youtube every day.

Then the time has come, the showing of The Last Airbender. The movie did not went to where I was expecting. It was too short as if you were just watching the trailer. Though to my understanding that we cannot fit the 20 chapters of Book 1: Water; that just lasted for an hour and 45 minutes. The movie went so fast, that you can't appreciate almost everything. I had read some reviews from some reliable sources and most of them were die-hard fans of the cartoon series which were really disappointed with the movie's outcome.

Though the movie will also be shown in 3D, I would suggest to watch it first in 2D then decide if it is better in 3D. So much of the criticisms, the effects were really great to watch. It was really like bending. Though the casts were not really that attached to the movie itself, as if they were just plainly acting. There are a lot of differences if you would really compare it to the cartoon series, but here's the fact, don't give comments if you haven't watched it in cartoons because your opinions are just too far from reality.

TWILIGHT Saga: Eclipse

I have been wanting to watch this film ever since it showed in theaters last July 2. Right now, the long wait was over because I just watched it together with my house buddies.

The film talks again about Bella's safety against the new vampire army whom Victoria plotted to kill Bella. The love triangle between Edward and Jacob over Bella is much intense than New Moon, but you will see a different Bella as if you would almost think that she wanted to have two guys at the same time because she's been confused over her love to a vampire or to a close werewolf friend. Kissing scenes are far better than the past movies with a touch of simple romantic words. The Cullens are still intact and this is the movie where you will see Rosalie confessed her envy over Bella and how Jasper became a vampire which was a warrior during the Civil War.

Vampires and Werewolves had an agreement not to fight just to protect Bella from the new vampire army. The fighting scenes were great and much appreciated which will crave you more on the next film Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

The long wait is over because an IMAX Theater will going to be in SM City - Cebu very soon. Two weeks ago, when I was watching Iron Man 2, there was this ad about IMAX will soon in Cebu. After the movie, I immediately asked the lady on the ticket booth on when will be the IMAX Theater opening and she said that hopefully it will be on June, 2010.

CHARICE: Life is like a Pyramid

For me, it would truly be a dream come true.

Truly, Charice had crossed the boundary of an ordinary kid who dreamed nothing but how to feed her family through joining singing contests. Will Willie still be back in Wowowee?

Wowowee host Willie Revillame is still missing in his own top-rated show for two weeks after the recent issue of the radio-commentator and TV host, Jobert Sucaldito who allegedly gave comments on the previous batch of contestants of Wowowee. The clash begun after Willie's threatening statement to ABS-CBN Management that if Jobert will not be ousted from the network, Willie will immediately resign as the host and also as the talent of ABS-CBN.

Willie has been an avid supporter of the Presidential candidate Manny Villar which made the host busy during campaign period that resulted to absence in his show. There are even gossips then, that when Manny Villar won as the President, Willie will be given a seat in Malacañang.

As what U.S. President Barrack Obama has promised, the global financial crisis will soon come to an end by the year 2011, which is closely next year. The results of these events made the U.S. Dollar to fluctuate it's value against other currencies that made other countries to float from their sinking economy.

In the Philippines, the global financial crisis has a big impact for most Filipino businessmen. Through which some businesses were closed especially the export industry whose backbone is exporting goods in some parts of Europe and The United States. Experience is the term where individuals learn from their own actions and feelings. Whether it is good or bad, right or wrong, happy or sad it will still be part of experience.

Have you tried meeting your long lost friend? Or a classmate during your high school years? This is a wonderful experience, where you can have a chitchat and start reminiscing those good old days with your worst teacher or your first crush.

Have you been through a tough job interview? Whoa! this is a pressuring experience. Trying to answer those difficult questions that really stirs your mind to death that just make sense when you get hired.

How about giving advises to a close friend or helping those who are in need, have you tried it? It’s a different feeling that overwhelms the heart and mind. It is a great experience to share something in you that others don’t have.

Being brokenhearted? Nah! this is the restless experience. It is some kind of being rejected or left behind that results to depression or death. Mind you, its a worth while experience when you have moved on.

The feeling of grief is when someone passed away, whether it is from your family, a relative, a friend or someone who is special to you. It makes our hearts faint to death as well. This is a lonesome experience, for we long for someone’s presence that can never be back again.

Been through a winning battle? Achieved your goals in life? This is a fulfilling experience. A feeling where we see life in this world as never-ending happiness yet temporary. We achieved worldly things such as owning a house, car, a nice career, a business that earns a lot of money. Who among us doesn’t want to experience this, right?.

Experience the eternal joy that we only find in God. This is the supreme experience, where we encounter our creator through prayers and meditations. A one of kind feeling where hope endures forever and evil has no place to stay.

Those are just some of the experiences that we may felt at this moment. Though it may be temporary but it gives us hope on the upcoming future, in order for us to live freely, express on what we feel, and prepare for another step in our lives…
