I have trekked every Walgreens around me and could not find the most popular Seashore Frost. I have given up on it at this moment. If I run into it then I will buy it. I figured I shouldn't have sleepless nights over something that isn't in my karmic path.

I know you have seen the L'Oreal Infallible Miss Candy ($7.95) eyeshadows all over the web and honestly I didn't expect to jump on the band wagon because by the time I see the display, the products are gone! However, this time the display was so new that it hadn't been properly placed. Yes! All four shadows were neatly lined up. I knew if I waited for the BOGO50% off sale, I wouldn't have a chance. I spent full price for each. Am I happy with my purchase?

A Quandary and Conniption - My Eyeliners!

See the traincase above? This has been with me since the 1980's. This is my first traincase for makeup and it is by Erno Laszlo. The case was some Christmas promotion at a local department store. It housed an entire makeup kit for a full face including brushes and cost a whopping $150! I wish I took a picture of the makeup inside for it was really pretty. The eyeshadows were soft nude colors in a texture that was hard as a rock. Yes, back then technology sucked and some formed that weird shiny crust offering very little pigment (remember Chanel?). I didn't buy it for the full price but I did buy it for $75 because of the sale the department store had. Yes, I felt special and I guess from then on I always wanted this case filled.

My favorite form of makeup is really mineral makeup. Although, when I grew up mineral makeup wasn't really popular except for Indian Earth which really didn't look good on me at all. My form of mineral makeup was my loose powder which was the only form of coverage I preferred in my teens and through my late 20's. I just couldn't get used to the thought of wearing foundation and honestly to this day I prefer my skin and powder over any foundation. However, if there is a special occasion where pictures will be taken, I do use foundation to allow people to see how even my skin tone can be! Anyway, I thought since I was taking inventory of my stuff, you would like to see my small mineral foundation collection. Do I use all of them? Find out.

She scraped the last bit of red pigment from the tube and gave me the empty tube to put in my little girl purse. I felt special. Spring is here and I usually purge or take inventory of what I have. Well, mostly in the makeup area. Unlike others who collect makeup, I really don't. Compared to others I have a very small collection and that is due to purging. Maybe, I have a bigger problem with constant purging. I don't know but I know where it dates back too. I remember when my non-makeup crazy friend had a container of loose powder with mold growing in it! She also showed me her mascara that I gave her 3 years before and that had mold growing on the wand. After that vision, I purged what I didn't use or what smelled rancid.
