You need these things just to get by. It used to be that students carried notebooks with them to class to take down notes and work on assignments. This is no longer the case. The modern student needs extra Acer batteries so that he or she can sit for long hours and work on the computer in a place that is convenient. On a college campus, this is not always going to be a place that is near an electrical outlet. Having a laptop that will not die can be the difference between getting an assignment done and failing the class.

A laptop charger is also important because it can be used when the student is in their dorm room. They can plug the computer back in so that it will be ready to go when they need it next. An Acer laptop charger can be used while the student takes a break from studying to eat dinner and let his or her mind rest until it is time to go to night classes. Without a laptop charger, the student's computer would never be ready in time. These are also nice as a backup plan. They can be used in classrooms if a battery does die at a crucial moment.

Finally, students use Acer laptop batteries because their laptop computers are the way that they communicate. No one calls each other up to make plans anymore. That is just not how it works. Students plan their gatherings and events through email or social networking websites.

As can be seen, a student needs spare Acer laptop batteries and a laptop charger for all parts of their college career. This will give them the best chance to make friends, achieve excellent grades, and graduate quickly.

Because laptops are so common, it's more important than ever to know what you should do if you need to get replacement parts, and the two most common parts that need a replacement on a laptop are the battery and the ac adapter. Over long periods of time, the life of batteries will dwindle, and AC adapters are often accidentally cut, lost, or broken. While the laptop itself continues to work well, it needs these two critical parts to operate at all.

When you need to replace an laptop charger or battery, you'll need to decide between buying a Toshiba brand replacement, or an alternative compatible brand. While there are definitely times when buying a compatible replacement for some name brand product is a bad choice, this generally isn't the case for laptop batteries or AC adapters. It's rare that you will see a noticeable difference between two compatible laptop batteries or AC adapters because there is so much competition to make high-quality goods. With that in mind, you'll notice that buying name brand batteries is sometimes slightly more or less expensive than the alternative compatible replacement batteries depending on the specific models of the product. With AC adapters as well, the Toshiba cables will often perform on the same level as compatible brands, so you don't have to worry about some big drop in quality just because there might be some difference in appearance or price.

Once you've found the right AC adapter or battery for your laptop, you'll want to look at some reviews and specifications to make completely sure you're ordering the right item, and that you're ordering it from a quality supplier. People who have ordered the same parts before will be quick to report back if there are any problems, while fewer people will be likely to post a review if everything goes well. Because of the way this works, don't assume that just because a product has no reviews attached to it that it's a bad product.

Each laptop model will come with a power rating and this will indicate how many hours of battery life you will get in between charging. The power rating should be written in Wh (Watt Hours) and Milliamps (mAh) and the higher the figure, the more battery life you will get.

Most laptops offer a couple of hours of battery life as standard but if you are taking a long flight you may be looking for more. Some laptops are known for having a superb battery life and some boast that they can operate for an entire working day. If you travel a lot having a laptop on a long haul flight can allow you to catch up on work or simply keep you entertained. Knowing what can zap your battery life is a great way of getting the most out of your laptop before you have to reach for your laptop charger.

There have been a number of tests done to determine the best laptops in terms of battery life and the Lenovo Thinkpad, the Acer TravelMate and the Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook came top of the class.

Visit us if you need to replace or purchase a new Acer Battery, Lenovo Thinkpad Battery or Fujitsu Siemens Battery.

Without this accessory, your laptop will never work after the battery has gone dead. The laptop charger can be plugged into most wall outlets that have a ground wire -- that is, three-pronged outlets. You will need an adapter if you are trying to plug into a two-pronged outlet, though adapters of that kind are fairly inexpensive and should be easy to find.

If you are traveling a lot, an HP Pavilion in-car laptop charger can be purchased for the car; it will plug into the car's power through the cigarette lighter, meaning that you can continue using your laptop on long trips even if the battery dies. You will also be able to recharge the laptop when you are not using it but are still driving, saving you a lot of time once you gave reached your destination. This is ideal if you are a business professional, as you will not want to show up at an interview or a company meeting without a laptop that works, especially if you have to give a presentation.

The chargers for the HP Pavilion computers are usually very versatile, since they have six-foot cords. This means that they will reach the outlets in most rooms without any trouble. They are also long enough to be plugged in behind a work desk, so that you can simply plug your laptop in and continue working even when the battery is going dead; you will not lose any time at all. This will change your laptop into a desktop for a little while, though the cord could be moved to the couch or easy chair for better access to the place that you want to sit.

All in all, a laptop computer is almost useless without a charger to go along with it. These can be used in the home, at work, or in the car, giving the ultimate freedom in where you use your computer.

We also stock a full range of chargers and batteries for HP Compaq Laptops as well as the HP G Series Laptop.

For some, a laptop simply reaches IT parts other gadgets can't match; iPhones may be a way to keep connected but aren't suitable if you're holidaying in Italy with the aim of working on a novel or if you're a student partying in Ibiza by night and writing up essays by day. As long as you have a laptop charger, you know you have all you need.

Apps are an increasingly popular feature for the travel market, with various apps that can offer everything from travel guides to bespoke video cameras that come complete with a built-in USB so you can plug in and watch on your laptop. And you don't need to pack piles of books if you're planning on catching up with the summer's must reads - ereaders are an increasingly popular way of carrying an entire library in your back pocket. Ereaders mean you don't have to choose from a limited number of paperbacks and travel guides because of weight and space restrictions. The average ereader is the size and weight of a slim hardback book - but with the capacity to hold hundreds of titles.

As well as packing your laptop charger and smartphone charger, you can download satnavs on your phone if you're heading to un-chartered territory - or opt for waterproof handheld GPS systems - something that is increasingly of interest to specialist travellers such as serious walkers, bikers and hikers.

The other necessary travel gadget is the camera to capture those unique moments - most phones have state of the art camera technology that can be plugged in direct to your laptop for editing and viewing. The Flip video camera is also great for travellers looking for something small and none cumbersome that also plugs directly into your laptop with a built in USB.

Wherever you're going in the world, you can be equipped and ready for any eventuality - just don't forget the battery chargers!
By the time you find a local supplier there are a number of obstacles that may stand in your way. When it comes to laptops there are thousands of different makes and models and it is rare to find a high street stockist that will be able to offer you a laptop charger that is compatible with your exact model on the same day. Visit an online store and you will be able to have your laptop charger delivered to you at speed. Many online companies offer a same day delivery service for those who are in urgent need of a laptop charger.

Convenience-If you have lost power to your laptop there is nothing more frustrating than traipsing from one store to the next in search of a laptop charger. Go online and order a replacement at the touch of a button. There is no easier way to place an order and you can do this from the comfort of your own home. Simply enter your desired manufacturer and navigate through an extensive collection of products that meet your requirements.

Affordable-Online companies will not charge you a small fortune for a laptop charger. You may have to pay a small fee for delivery charge but it is worth it to have your replacement laptop charger delivered to your home in a matter of hours.

From IPods to laptops and mobile phones there is a type of technology for all.

All technology needs power and you may find that charging your phones, laptops and music players is an endless activity. If you have a family of five you may find you have more chargers than family members. If you do not want to add five laptop chargers to your hefty pile of phone and IPod chargers why not invest in a universal laptop charger? If you are sick of staring at the tangle of black wires congregating around every plug socket in your home a universal charger could provide a solution.

Cost effective-Today's technology is designed to be used on the go but our chargers are not. How many times have you discovered that you have lost or misplaced your charger somewhere on the way home? Without its power source your expensive technology is useless and you have no choice but to shell out more money for a new laptop charger.

Convenience-There is never a good time to lose power on your laptop and losing a charger can cause major inconvenience if you have an assignment to finish or emails to catch up on. Wouldn't it be easier if one of the other members of the family could keep your laptop fully charged until you can get your hands on a replacement charger?

Just like anything / anyone else in your life, your laptop needs regular TLC too! Visit The Laptop Power Supply Shop if you need a replacement for your Laptop Charger.

Our computers are integral to everyday life. Whether you're a student, a company director, or a homeowner keeping on top of bills and correspondence, laptops, notebooks and mini-computers have served as a fundamental device in our daily tasks. Keep your computer in check and make sure that you have a fully working screen, a good laptop charger and adapter, a healthy amount of disk space, and all the security apps to prevent viruses.

Here are some tips on how to keep your laptop healthy:

Clean your screen - the screen is a magnet for dust, dirt and mucky fingerprints. Do not use household products to wipe your laptop, as they can degrade the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)

Don't let it overheat - all computers need a rest from time to time. If you can feel the laptop charger heating up, turn it off and use your laptop another time. Using soft surfaces for your laptop can obstruct the airflow required to keep it cool.

Avoid eating and working - crumbs can get into the crevices of your keyboard, so make sure you keep your keyboard clean.

Lithium based technology currently provides the best performance for notebook computers. You can also find this standard battery in many other devices such as mobile phones and MP3 players. Like all rechargeable batteries, Lithium-ion batteries will eventually require replacement.
Lithium-ion batteries pack in a higher power density that nickel-based batteries. This gives you a longer battery life in a lighter package, as lithium is the lightest metal. You can also recharge lithium-ion batteries whenever convenient without the full charge or discharge cycle necessary to keep nickel-based batteries at peak performance. Over time nickel-based batteries build up crystals (known as the memory effect) that prevent you from charging the batteries to full capacity, necessitating an inconvenient full discharge and charge.

Standard Charging

Most lithium-ion batteries use a fast charge to re-charge your laptop to 80% capacity, then switch to a trickle charge for the remaining 20%. You can charge lithium-ion batteries a large but finite number of times, as defined by the charge cycle of the battery.
A charge cycle means using all of the batteries power, but that doesn't necessarily mean a single charge. For instance, you could use your laptop for a few hours one day, using only half of its power, and then recharge it fully. If you did the same thing the next day, it would count as a single charge cycle, not two, so you could take several days to complete a single charge cycle. Each time you complete a charge cycle, it diminishes the batteries capacity slightly, but you can put your laptop battery through many charge cycles before they will only hold 80% of original battery capacity. As with other laptop batteries, you will eventually need to replace your battery.

How to Maximise Power Use

The length of time your battery will power your laptop depends on how you use it. For instance, watching a DVD or placing a graphics intensive game will use up your laptop batterys power more quickly than just browsing the web.
With a little care, you can maximise the life of your battery and lifespan of your notebook's battery. Most importantly use your laptop at the correct temperature. You should consult your laptops user manual to see the optimal operating temperatures but generally you should only use your laptop between 10°C and 35°C and store it between -25°C to 45°C.

Your new Notebook

Be sure to fully charge your laptop when you plug it in for the first time, and then ensure you download the latest software updates and drivers as software manufacturers will periodically release updates that may improve battery performance.

Standard Maintenance

For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it is important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. it is not recommended that you keep your laptop plugged in all the time. An ideal use would be a commuter who uses their notebook on the train, then plugs it in at the office to charge. This keeps the battery juices flowing.

Long Term Storage

If you don't plan on using your laptop for a long period of time, we recommend that your store the battery with a 50% charge. if you store a battery when it is fully discharged, it could fall onto a deep discharge state, which will render it incapable of holding any charge. On the other hand if you store it fully charged for an extended period of time, the battery may experience some loss of battery capacity, meaning it will have a shorter life. Be sure you store your battery at the correct temperature.

Optimal Settings

You can choose to configure your laptop in a way that maximises battery life.
Energy Settings - The energy / power settings in the control panel offer several settings that determine power levels for your laptop. With the latest operating systems, your laptop knows when it is plugged in, and runs accordingly. When on battery power, it will dim the screen and use other components sparingly. if you change these settings to maximise performance your battery will drain a lot more quickly.
Brightness - Dim the screen to the lowest comfortable level to achieve maximum battery life. For instance, when watching a DVD on an airplane, you may not need full brightness if all the lights are off.
Wireless - Wireless systems consumes power, even if you are not using this feature to connect to a network. We recommend turning your wireless off when not in use, to conserve battery power.
Bluetooth - Just like wireless, you should turn off Bluetooth when not in use, as it also consumes power when not in use.
Applications and Peripherals - Disconnect peripherals and quit applications you are not using. Eject CDs and DVDs if you are not accessing them.
