Politics is a dirty business and things are said that may not necessarily ring true.

Mitt Romney is banging Newt Gingrich over the head in Florida about his ethics probe while he was speaker. Gingrich was vindicated in the end as committing no wrong doing. But, that doesn’t matter in the nasty game of politics.

Hot Air reports in a statement Saturday, former NBC “Nightly News” anchor Tom Brokaw, who is featured in the ad reporting on Gingrich’s 1997 ethics investigation, said, “I am extremely uncomfortable with the extended use of my personal image in this political ad. I do not want my role as a journalist compromised for political gain by any campaign.”…

The NBC legal department has written a letter to the campaign asking for the removal of all NBC News material from their campaign ads. Similar requests have gone out to other campaigns that NBC says have inappropriately used clips from “Nightly News,” “Meet the Press,” “Today” and MSNBC material.

The Blaze reports Sen. Marco Rubio on Saturday delivered a sharp rebuke of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address, saying Obama avoided discussing much of his administration‘s accomplishments because he’s “made everything worse” during his time in office.

“It was an opportunity for the president to talk about his accomplishments over the last three years and to lay out his plans for the year ahead. And he missed on both counts,” the Florida Republican said, delivering the weekly GOP address. “You didn’t hear much talk about the success of his administration — and that’s because there isn’t much.”

The Blaze reports in what was perhaps one of the more lively GOP debates among the entire spectrum of showdowns thus far, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney lampooned rival Newt Gingrich for his proposal to colonize the moon and accused the former House speaker of pandering to Florida’s Space Coast.

“I spent 25 years in business. If I had a business executive come to me and say they wanted to spend a few hundred billion dollars to put a colony on the moon, I’d say, ‘You’re fired!’” Romney said matter-of-factly.

Daily Mail reports ever since she was a toddler, Stacey Irvine has eaten little else but chicken nuggets and the occasional portion of chips.

Now, at the age of 17, she has been warned by doctors to change her appalling diet or die.

The factory worker – who says she has never tasted fresh fruit or vegetables – had to be taken to hospital earlier this week when she collapsed after struggling to breathe.

Doctors found that her 15-year ‘chronic chicken nugget addiction’ has left her with anaemia and inflamed veins on her tongue.

So deficient was her body in vitamins and nutrients that she had to be injected with them.

Al Sharpton has the audacity to argue about taxes and fairness when he’s a protected tax cheat himself

First of all, Al Sharpton is one of the biggest hypocrites New York has ever seen. He’s a tax cheat that is allowed to walk around free as a bird because he’s protected by the Democrat Party to do their dirty work to keep African Americans in-line on the Democrat plantation.

Al Sharpton asked

“Is it fair that billionaires pay a lower tax rate than their secretaries?”

His guest says not true according to the IRS.

Then Sharpton says

“If the report is inaccurate, fine you stipulate that. But, is it fair?”

So Sharpton expects his guest to answer a question that’s based on a very false premise, but asks if it’s fair nonetheless. This is what passes for journalism on MSNBC.

The Huffington Post reports Al Sharpton got into a heated clash with Rep. Tim Huelskamp of Kansas during his MSNBC show Wednesday night.

Sharpton asked Huelskamp to discuss what Sharpton referred to as the the issue of tax rate fairness. He asked, "Is it fair that billionaires pay a lower tax rate than their own secretaries?" Huelskamp did not answer the question because according to him, Sharpton's information was incorrect.

"Well they actually don't, according to the IRS," Huelskamp said.

Sharpton started to raise his voice and asked the question again. "Is it fair? Is it fair?" Huelskamp continued to deny the accuracy of Sharpton's question. "It's not true, Al."

Sharpton then said "on the basis of the report—if the report is inaccurate, fine, you stipulate that—I'm asking you, is it fair? Is the arrangement fair, in your opinion?"

The Huffington Post reports Arizona Governor Jan Brewer traded words with President Obama after she greeted him at a Phoenix airport Wednesday.
Brewer and Obama "spoke intensely for a few minutes" after he landed at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, according to a White House pool report. At one point, the GOP governor shook her finger at the president.

"He was a little disturbed about my book," Brewer told a reporter after the incident, referring to her political memoir, "Scorpions for Breakfast." In the book, Brewer depicted Obama as "patronizing" during an earlier meeting.
"I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president," Brewer said. "The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt. So."

Brewer said Obama told her "that he didn't feel I had treated him cordially."
"I said I was sorry he felt that way but I didn't get my sentence finished," Brewer said. "Anyway, we're glad he's here. I'll regroup."

The last time Obama met with Brewer was June 2010, when the Arizona governor visited the Oval Office for a private, 30-minute encounter the White House called a "good meeting." At the time, Brewer said the meeting was "very cordial," but in her book she said Obama had been "condescending."

Why did beloved North Carolina school principal Dr Barry Bowe commit suicide?

There’s a lot to this story that remains a mystery!

Daily Mail reports a principal who described himself as a ‘Renaissance Man’ was found dead in his home Monday night.

Barry Bowe, 54, was fearful that he would be dismissed from his job amid an ongoing investigation from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district over a security incident at a school dance in December.

Only days before, parents at Northwest School of the Arts had launched a collective effort for him to be able to keep his post.

The news of his death shocked students of the Charleston, North Carolina school, who said he was genuinely concerned with their educations and futures.

Dr Bowe had requested a personal day Friday, but was supposed to be at work by Monday morning.

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg school employee went to his house to check on him, calling the police after Dr Bowe didn't answer his door.

A neighbour, who was given a spare key, let police into Dr Bowe’s home, where they discovered his body in the garage.

The Blaze reports U.S. military forces flew into Somalia in a nighttime helicopter raid Wednesday, freed an American and a Danish hostage, and killed nine pirates in a mission President Barack Obama appeared to reference before his State of the Union speech, officials and a pirate source said.

The Danish Refugee Council confirmed that the two aid workers, American Jessica Buchanan and Dane Poul Hagen Thisted, were freed “during an operation in Somalia.” Buchanan, 32, and Thisted, 60, had been working with a de-mining unit of the Danish Refugee Council when they were kidnapped in October.

Obama seemed to refer to the mission before his State of the Union address in Washington Tuesday night. As he entered the House chamber in the U.S. Capitol, he pointed at Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in the crowd and said, “Good job tonight.”

A Western official told The Associated Press that the raid was carried out by U.S. military forces. A second official said the helicopters and the hostages flew to a U.S. military base called Camp Lemonnier in the Horn of Africa nation of Djibouti. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the information had not been released publicly.

The timing of the raid may have been made more urgent by a medical condition. The Danish Refugee Council had been trying to work with Somali elders to win the hostages’ freedom but had found little success.

“One of the hostages has a disease that was very serious and that had to be solved,” Danish Foreign Minister Villy Soevndal told Denmark’s TV2 channel. Soevndal did not provide any more details.

Mitt Romney is hitting Newt hard on details of his ethics investigation that led to his resigning in speakership. What really went down is not too simple to explain in one minute.

It received saturation coverage in the press; a database search of major media outlets revealed more than 10,000 references to Gingrich’s ethics problems during the six months leading to his reprimand. It ended with a special counsel hired by the House Ethics Committee holding Gingrich to an astonishingly strict standard of behavior, after which Gingrich in essence pled guilty to two minor offenses. Afterwards, the case was referred to the Internal Revenue Service, which conducted an exhaustive investigation into the matter. And then, after it was all over and Gingrich was out of office, the IRS concluded that Gingrich did nothing wrong. After all the struggle, Gingrich was exonerated.”

President Obama, Warren Buffett, the media and the Democrat Party for almost a year have repeated the same lie that Warren Buffet’s secretary pays a higher tax rate than the second richest man in America without pointing out they’re comparing apples to oranges of our progressive tax system.

It’s the kind of big lie that would make Goebbels smile from the gates of Hel for its deceitfulness. Warren Buffett earns his money, not by a salary like his secretary, but through capital gains on the buying and selling of stocks and dividends on investments at 15%. But, what President Obama and Buffett don’t admit to is that Buffett’s companies pay a 35% tax rate, the highest corporate rate in the world. So Buffett is being tax at least 50% when you add the corporate and capital gains together.
If Warren Buffett’s secretary is paid a six figure income, she’s paying between 28% to 35% in federal income taxes. That’s less than the at least 50% Buffett is paying not including a wholes hosts of other fess he’s paying.

Oh, did mention 47% of Americans pay no Federal income taxes—peried!

Nonetheless, President Obamna continues his Goebbels game plan to deceive the American public. How the man can sleep at night is beyond me.

Bill McLaughlin met the much-younger Nanette through a magazine ad she placed looking for a wealthy, older man. Within months of meeting McLaughlin, Nanette brought her two young children to live with him. He provided her with a generous allowance and a lavish lifestyle. The couple were soon engaged and McLaughlin made Nanette a beneficiary of a million-dollar life insurance policy.

Nearly sixteen years after the murder of Newport Beach multimillionaire Bill McLaughlin , police have charged two suspects - McLaughlin's ex-girlfriend and her former lover, a former NFL linebacker.

Both Nanette Packard McNeal and Eric Naposki, who played with the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots, are awaiting trial after pleading not guilty at last year's preliminary hearing, reports KTLA.

Naposki is facing one felony count murder while McNeal is charged with one felony count of murder for financial gain in the December 1994 shooting death of the 55-year-old millionaire.

Prosecutors told The Los Angeles Times McNeal would have received $1 million in life insurance and $150,000 from McLaughlin's will in the event of his death.

Newport Beach officials are looking to reinstate former police Det. Thomas Voth who had been retired for fourteen years.

Voth who was the lead detective in the December 15, 1994 murder has spent countless uncompensated hours helping Orange County prosecutor Matt Murphy prepare for trial, and will most likely be "required to perform additional pre-trial preparation and be present during the entire trial," reports the Times

OC Register reports Orange County jury deliberates for three hours before convicting Nanette Johnston of special circumstances murder for the shooting death of her wealthy boyfriend in 1994.

Nanette Johnston, 46, enters a courtroom where an Orange County jury handed down a guilty verdict with special circumstances in Santa Ana, Calif. on Monday, January 23, 2012, for the murder of her millionaire boyfriend, William McLaughlin on December 15, 1994. Prosecutors contend she put her ex-NFLer lover, Eric Naposki up to the murder for financial gain. Naposki was convicted last year of special circumstances and is awaiting sentences. Johnston, 46, faces a potential life term in prison without the possibility of parole.

The femme fatale at the center of a love triangle was convicted of special circumstances murder Monday for convincing her young lover to kill her rich, older boyfriend in 1994 for financial gain.

Nanette Johnston, 46, showed no reaction when court clerk Laura Hoyle read the verdicts: guilty of first-degree murder and guilty of the special circumstance of committing murder for financial gain.
The nine-woman, three-man jury in Superior Court Judge William Froeberg's court deliberated for about three hours before reaching the verdicts.

She now faces a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole at her sentencing on May 18.

Johnston was convicted of orchestrating the murder of William McLaughlin, 55, the health care entrepreneur she was living with in his expensive Balboa Coves bayfront home near Lido Village.

Pastor at Santorum rally: Americans won’t vote for Mormon president, Mormon church is racist

Palm Beach Post reports Rev. O’Neal Dozier, the conservative pastor of Pompano Beach’s Worldwide Christian Center, told the Palm Beach Post Sunday that Mitt Romney cannot win the presidency because Americans won’t vote for a Mormon president.

Following his third place finish in South Carolina, Rick Santorum made his first Florida campaign stop at Dozier’s church, where he gave a faith-based sermon. Dozier has been an outspoken critic of homosexuality and radical Islam. In November, former presidential candidate Herman Cain decided minutes before a speech not to have Dozier deliver his invocation, as was originally planned.

“You can look at the June Gallup poll that shows the people have already spoken – 22 percent of the electorate will not vote for a Mormon,” Dozier said. “The American people will not vote for a Mormon to be president of the United States.”

For the second time in three days Romney is continuing a new line of attack calling on Gingrich to release documents pertaining to House ethics probe that compelled him to pay $300,000 fine. Also, he calling on Gingrich to release his contract with Freddie Mac in which Gingrich has said he did not lobby for.

L.A. Times reports Mitt Romney opened an aggressive new phase of the Republican presidential campaign as he cruised into Florida on Sunday night — casting Newt Gingrich as an unethical politician whose temperament and unreliability led to his ouster as speaker of the House in the 1990s.

After a week in which he conceded his Iowa win to Rick Santorum after a recount and lost to Gingrich by double digits in South Carolina, Romney acknowledged that the Republican contest had become a three-man race. But he took a much tougher tone toward Gingrich – directly raising the ethics investigation that Gingrich faced in the 1990s and demanding that Gingrich provide an accounting for the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

We’re not choosing a talk show host," Romney said, alluding to his rival’s strong debate performances that helped shift momentum in his favor in South Carolina. "We’re choosing the person who should be leader of the free world.”

These are the true colors of these social misfits the media tried so hard to sell as equivalent to the Tea Party.

They’re a bunch of losers!

The New York Post reports there’s no longer room at the inn at a Manhattan church that’s sheltering Occupy Wall Streeters after a holy vessel disappeared from the altar last week.

When the Rev. Bob Brashear prepared for Sunday services at West Park Presbyterian Church on West 86th Street, he noticed parts of the bronze baptismal font were gone.

In a fire-and-brimstone message to occupiers later that day, he thundered, “It was like pissing on the 99 percent.”

In Brooklyn, at another church housing OWS protesters, an occupier urinated on a cross, according to Rabbi Chaim Gruber, who has angrily abandoned the OWS movement.

In a letter last week to OWS obtained by The Post, the rabbi fumed, “The Park Slope church housing occupiers was desecrated when an occupier peed inside the building and the pee came into contact with a cross.”

The pastor of the church did not return calls.

At West Park, Rev. Brashear walked into the church for a morning service to find the 18-inch-diameter bronze basin and lid missing from the baptismal font’s 800-pound base. Holy water — straight from the River Jordan — had been poured from the missing basin insert into the base’s bowl.

About 60 occupiers had rolled out their sleeping bags between the pews the night before as part of their evening ritual, Rev. Brashear recalled. When they returned to the church later, following the pastor’s discovery, he issued a stern warning: “You have 24 hours to find it and to come up with an amends and to come up with a plan. ‘I’m sorry and it won’t happen again’ won’t work,” he scolded.
