Yours truly, the Law's Law, has fully enjoyed himself and is (still) awaiting California State Bar results.

However, of late I have been fielding from many past and present followers that I have not been updating my blog enough. I too, have been disappointed in myself. The main people / places that have given me the resolve to continue this lovely blog are the following:

1) Sir Snow-Maniac: The fact the you have such great quote such as

"I am being responsible, I am just drinking wine and being classy...no beer, gambling, or (redacted)...only wine. New week for Ko."

is amazing. There will now be a Comment of the Week from you...I wish I could do a comment of the day, because I know you are able, but I do not think I am able to publish so many nuggets of gold. I honestly want to be your ghost writer. We could sell the script like that idiot that made S)(*&^O^^%$ my *(^&^% Said.

2) Sir W: On TV all week. Watched him on Hannity tonight and he was absolutely amazing. I completely agree with his backyard diplomacy style. The Law's Law also agrees with Sir W's style of letting Sir O have two years before he has commented on anything. Respect both Men although I disagree with one of their policies. Challenge to my readers to which one I disagree with.

3) Many things have occurred since the last time I have posted: people have graduated, things have moved...but the best thing that has happened is the a certain Sir has decided to take his talents to MIA. Now this really infuriated the Law's Law. The Law's Law was ready and able to go to the Cleve and do big things and win the first series for the state of Ohio in a while (sorry Sir Ko). Well, see ya LaLame, you can do big things in MIA knowing that the Lake Show will be 8-0 and you are not. Bye. Oh and also, it D-Wade's team, jerkstore.

4) Lost Angeles blog...wow, that guy took this blog and ran with it. I am so utterly impressed by the Can't Sanction the Endzone Shirts, the blog, the life, the Arrogance. Unbelievable. I like it (Enrique style).

5) As you know The Law's Law loves lists, I must finish with a last reason. And it as this point I leave my followers with this: Start Blogs, they are awesome. I challenge every other friend blog to continue their great work. There are so many blogs that can happen, and we'll roll it all up into one large script and throw it on television.

Now always have some stories from the previous week or weekend, so I will oblige my followers.

Here it goes....

(REDACTED, REDACTED,REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED, REDACTED)

Oh man, I hate the real law. The Law's Law will have to wait a few more weeks until he can tell his unvarnished tale.

Until then...

Here's to blogging, here's to America, and here's to blogging.

Yours Truly,

The Law's Law

3am And I want to go to bed

BOOMS,

Well after one rambunctious evening, a drive up to hella lame Northern California, a sweet trip to The Hut (where The Law's Law will hold court for his graduation), a sweet trip to The Claran, and some shenanigans on this cold Northern California evening, The Law's Law is back.

The Law's Law would first like to say thank you to all of his followers for kicking him back into shape. I have not posted for a while but like I said: "It is because I have no content." However, after all that has occurred over the past month I have plenty of content.

First and foremost, I posted on Pete Carroll's FB account the following: "Coach, I will make the decision easy for you: Stay at the University of Southern California, HOME OF THE TROJAN FAMILY. Family can't be bought. Fight On."

This decision (which is not official yet) comes as a shock to me as cha boy Fratty Matty Bark Bark is in prime position to win a baker's dozen of National Championships. However, this does not come as a shock to me as Mike Garret is the worst AD ever. Aside from our lame AD, I hope Coach "figures it out" and stays at SC.

Secondly, I am still not over Coach Floyd and now this happens?!?!? Come On!!!

Third, my New Year's resolution is to take blogging to a new stratosphere this year. I am talking scripts, books, novels, bio's, autobiographies, dictionaries, thesauruses, maybe a few encyclopedias here and there etc. etc. as the list goes on. Apparently we will have a lot of time since we basically do not have a basketball team. Awesome.

Quadrangle, wear your SC gear this week. If you have to wear a suit, wear an SC tie. If you have to wear a dress, wear an SC brooch. If you are going casual, wear an SC Hawaiian shirt. If you are at the gym, wear SC gym shorts. If you are an athlete, wear SC Under Armor. And if you have not been to the SC bookstore lately, shame on you. The bottom line is that some people think that SC is weak. The word weak is not in The Law's Law's vocabulary (unless The Law's Law is talking about UCLA or ND). Show that SC stands for something in every walk of life.

Over and Out,

The Law's Law

P.S. I blame Sir Large One for this whole debaucal. I think he and Sir Z to the Hillz has been planning it since he first became a fan of the Seahawks.

P.P.S. I wish Tony Romo played during the regular season like he is now. Would have dominated in Fantasy FB. Let's get another huge Fantasy League together for baseball and bet on the Dodgers. Bet meaning who gets the Dodgers: Mr. or Mrs. McCourt. Lame.

P.P.P.S. I hope everyone has an amazing Sunday Funday. Pouring multiple Bloody Mary's as soon as my eyes open tomorrow.

Le Neu-hei-lame

Tis the Season to...

Be The Law's Law,

Fa La La LA LA

La La La, Lame,

As this one starts to look back on the gloorious year called two thousand and nine, it makes him think about all of the wonderful things that have happened. From The Rose Bowl to Tonga to B2B to Tonga, From Seas to Shining Jerks, To Doing Big Things Around Alcatraz to Doing Big Things at Perry's in SF on a Sunday morning, To Twin Palms and Barneys to The House of Lords, To C-Biscuit doing it big to Le Large being a whale, I put my stamp on this world and say...hey, we did (not) reduce our carbon foot print(s).

But enough of reflecting, let's talk about what The Law's Law likes to talk about most, Action and The Future!

Therefore, let us give cheers to:

1) The Arizona game. I was in Newps the other week and the people above us literally thought they had a chance at the game they clearly lost. Pish Posh Cats. Can't wait for you to come to Troy!

2) Sir Bark, You La Viva-ed it like no other. I do not understand what Neuheisel was doing. One shalt not cross Sir Pete. Does Neuheisel not read my blog?! What an idiot. He should be burned at the stake like Fat Charlie. I actually bet that "coach" had a bet on the game (take that ya jerk!).

3) Let's talk about some Woods eh? The darkness finally came out.

4) Shall this blog be a true social commentary?

5) Maybe everyone should start their own blogs and sound off. It is literally my favorite thing to do in life.

6) Finals are terrible.

7) Trying to get to 10 on this "god awful" countdown is terrible.

8) Let's talk about them Dodgers.

9) I want to go to sleep, notice the posting time.

10) Okay need to go big for this one. Let talk about, hmm...National Security...

Just kidding do not want to get on a rant about that. That would only get me really fired up and start quoting all of the Generals and FoxNews.

So in The Law's Law's fashion, I bid you all good night and a great Wednesday.

Your Truly,

The Law's Law

P.S. Currently writing The Next Great American Novel to be named at a later point. Top 3 titles are: "Viva," "Boom," and "Viva La Boom." Titles were not my s-t-y-l-e. After a little siesta and a little trip to Newport the writer's block is over. This is due to the fact that The Law's Law was inspired to write about a little thing called: Buying a Whole Bar Drinks.

Now admittedly the writer's block was broken due to a BBM from Sir Darkness saying that a dude just bought all of Shellback a Bud Heavy. For the 70 people at Shellback tonight, I am ecstatic that you witnessed one of the finest things that a man can do.

Now many of you do not know the history behind this.

Once upon a time in Brussels, Belgium, The Law's Law was on a vacation in Europe and went to a random bar. Now the first night was rather calm, Sir Zeth tipped over a mini motorcycle but that is just a normal thing that happens in the life of people that are cool. We went back the next night to an AC Milan v. Liverpool match (I think, correct me if I am wrong) and AC Milan ended up winning to the tune of many drinks. Instead of being a normal person this guy decided to buy the whole bar a shot of Jack (USA) and a beer. Boom. This would also be the Brussels trip that the Mayor of some random town in Swiss country introduced us to Snuff. Best time ever.

Now today a certain person bought the whole bar a Bud Heavy at Shell. This is Bro King status. I do not who you are, but anytime a person buys a whole bar drinks it gains my respect. It not only says "Hey I like to have a great time", but it also says, "Hey, get on my level."

Buying a whole bar drinks is very related to having a bar / restaurant serve after closing time. The Law's Law experienced that this weekend in the Newps. Bar was closed and I said no you are not. Viva La 20 bucks and Viva La Beers. Done and Done (Woody's on the Dock, was a pretty sweet bar actually).

Thanksgiving is going to be amazing. I will speak about a thing I call Le Thanksgiving Grenades in another post.

Beat The Bruins,

The Law's Law

P.S. Not nearly as brutal as Sir Phd's Finals, but they are difficult.

A quote to live by came on tonight whilst I was watching 24/7. It is quite pithy to life in general:

"They measure a boxing match by how many rounds it goes, just as they measure a man's life by how many years he lives. But in both cases, of course, those measurements tell only part of the story. Far more interesting is a closer examination of the small handful of moments that really matter. Amid the infinite beats of time, there are instances that change everything for someone. Split seconds, that serve as lasting barriers between before, and after. In these flashes, years of mastery can be callously obliterated. The fates of millions can be at once senselessly devastated. […] They strive for lasting legacies, ultimately earned on impulse. They train for months on end, to prepare for battles that can be decided by a single blow. They enter the ring searching for victory, times’ secret collection of vicious beats." -24/7

Boomage,

The Law's Law

P.S. A weekend filled with Navy Grogs and a Final on Tuesday (today) kept this duder's hands full.

Keeping with the tradition of The Law's Law's brother blogs by adding an intellectual spirit to the blogs, today's Negotiation final encompassed re-negotiating a real estate deal that had an implied covenant for the lessee to continue operating as a business. Very interesting stuff and Your's Truly had way too much fun toying with his opponent.

Couple of points from the past weekend:

1) One should never drink 8 Navy Grogs in a 12 hour period. Those things may be small, but wow do they have a bite.

2) Bandwagon fans can exit to the stage right. I will be in rare form to Beat the Power Blue Lameage from Westweird.

3) My war with technology continues, somehow after this weekend I am now BBM friends with myself and cannot delete myself. Looks like a trip to my local cell store is inevitable (they already hate me for having to replace 3 trackballs this past month on my BB).

4) Unbeknowst to some, I paid $20 dollars and told a cab to "just drive." For any of you that saw the movie Michael Clayton, I was inspired by the very end of the movie (except he gave $100 and I only gave $20). However, all the cab did was pick The Law's Law up from Shellback, made a circle to Sepulveda and back, then dropped me back off at Shellback. The phrase "Full Circle" could have not been more poignant at that point.

5) Viva La Boom to Shellback.

Hope everyone has a great Bye Week, will definitely post by Thursday.

Sincerely,

The Law's Law

P.S. Welcome to Madame Doodler of the House of Bau Bau. You followage is greatly appreciated.

P.P.S. Congratulations to Sir Master and Snow-mander for creating a blog at http://thegospelaccordingtoko.blogspot.com/. One of these days we ALL are going to look back on our blogging years and say, what were we thinking by allowing this guy to go on the internet.

P.P.P.S. I could not agree more with domhateanimals.blogspot.com in saying that Iguana's really are too confident in themselves. I think Sir Creature would really hate Hummingbirds though. I already love the gambling content and the spread of the H1Nblog virus around LA.

As I sit her hashing out the details of a Broadway theatre financing deal (spelled theatre on purpose, Oxford style), The Law's Law decided he wanted to rant on those that go out, and those that do not. These things became readily apparent tonight in my Negotiations class on two separate situations.

Little background on this: The Law's Law has been known to enjoy Social Gatherings. Now, not only do these Social Gatherings give one the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy new experiences, but they are also primetime for getting wild, crazy, and just enjoy life in general. Bottom Line: those that like to stay in libraries and be lame, enjoy your life of solitude. C is for CEO and D's get Degrees (thank you Sir C-Money for that quote)

Now, back to the reasons this came up:

First, my first Negotiation was with a notable Law Babe that would actually fly at USC. However, according to various sources this Law Babe is an extremely aggressive negotiator. Last week for our midterm she apparently became "abusive" (quote from the professor) during her negotiation with Steve (actual name) and flipped. Now I have told many of my followers about how enjoyable my previous negotiation was with this exact Law Babe. It was pleasant, enjoyable, successful, and she even sent me an post email with many pleasantries and emoticons. Bottom Line: Smooth talking went a long way on this one. If The Law's Law had not been himself, I could have been abused like poor poor Steve.

Second, I found out today that my Professor works for two of my friends' mother's firm (they are twin sisters and the mother started it on her own to make it the largest ADR firm in CA). Apparently my Prof also found out and asked me if I knew the Twin Madames and I assured her I did. I have been to Madame Twins' house on multiple occasions because these twins always opened up their home to partying whilst The Law's Law was in training Sophomore and Junior years of High School. I frequented the homely home and had some of my most memorable times their. Now here is a funny story from my Professor's Bosses home in West-weird: I was doing big things in the kitchen (i.e. Shots, Shots, Shots...AWESOME SONG CLICK HERE), and all of a sudden, boom time. It all came up on The Law's Law all over the kitchen. Feeling bad I tried to clean up but The Law's Law was just spinning. The twins' Mom came in and was completely elated to meet The Law's Law and went on to say that I was a gent amongst men. True Story.

Anyways, point being is that The Law's Law loves meeting people and being in social situations. No matter how embarrassing something might seem at the moment, there is always a way to leverage it and make it a great story later.

Shots,

The Law's Law

P.S. I gotta get on these Navy Grogs, The Law's Law has cleared his Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for an adventure.

P.P.S. The Law's Law's technology problems continue. To this minute I am waiting for some to confirm that they can open a docx file. Honestly Microsoft (and Law Group), can you please make it easier for people without the latest version of Office to open docx files. Granted, I am having a good time and opened a nice bottle of French wine while watching Austin Powers, but come on. Let The Law's Law get some sleep once in a while.

Groggles

Letters to the Editor: Monday morning around 10am PST (1p EST): "i've already puked twice today, i wanna leave so bad." I think we all know what disaster of an associate of The Law's Law this came from on this Monday morning (the East Coast Standard time is a major hint).

I digress...

As The Law's Law digs his heels deeper into the month of November, he is still shocked that he has not had / first heard last week of the magical drink call the Navy Grog. Now unfortunately a little exam called the MPRE prevented this from occurring on Thursday or Friday and certain situations (i.e. being at the wrong bar) prevented this from happening on Saturday, but The Law's Law is thrilled to become one with this magical concoction come this weekend.

So far this drink has had some big talk. Friday morning the feedback came and it was as if every associate of The Law's Law got hit by a freight train. The reviews ran from "death" to "awesome" to "man I cannot wait to drink it again." It was almost like everyone got a case of the Stockholm Syndrome with this drink. Apparently one only needs two of these to have the time of their life which only make me think of Tonga Room Hurricanes.

The Law's Law was presented an opportunity to sample the Navy Grog on Sunday by Sir Creature, but that would have forced him to only have one. The Law's Law wants to go all in on his first experience with the Navy Grog. The Law's Law does not do things only 50%...go 100% all-in all of the time (which could be a major reason The Law's Law is so terrible at Poker). Therefore, this weekend will be the first tasting by Yours Truly. I will establish a minimum drink limit by the end of the week (will probably be around 4 - 5 from all accounts).

Homecoming week is on tap. Do not mention the inappropriate time the game was set for (12:30p) as this will only work up The Law's Law. Beat the Cardinal or as Sir Fratellis would say, "Arrrrggg give me my booty!!!"

Party in the USA,

The Law's Law

Tim Floyd

Vivas,

The Law's Law does not usually get emotional about many things. However, there is one thing that has affected him more than anything in his life, and that is: the resignation of Sir Coach Tim Floyd.

The Law's Law has finally seen the writing on the wall. As basketball season commenses, I realize that I will not see that awesome Coach Floyd be as rad as he usually is on the sidelines.

Let me talk about Sir Coach TIm Floyd. This southern gent (CLICK HERE FOR PROOF) came to USC with a vision in mind. USC was not even on the national radar when he came. That is all beside the point, because when Tim Floyd comes to the game, he comes to WIN.

No offense to Sir Pete, but I have not seen a Coach so into the game as Sir Coach Tim Floyd. Therefore, my Top 5 Coach Floyd Moments are:

5) Coach at Morongo Casino breaking up a fight. This had to make it as it is awesome that he is at Club Morongo. My hope is that he is in the Southern California area to come to USC and get his job back. Maybe this will help: Tim being Tim.

4) Coach throwing his ripped up card at the referee then getting Ejected. Wow. I was shocked and amazed at this showing of absolute unrivaled madness. Here's Tim Going Off.

3) Coach yelling during the USC v. UT game while I was on a cruise ship. We won the game and number two pick Durant went whimpering into the NBA hearing the ringing in his head from Tim Floyd's amazing vociferous and unparalleled insults.

2) Coach beating UCLA, many times. When Sir Floyd started we were a team that played at the Sports Arena. We drove our beach cruisers down after having a few shots at New / North no matter who we were playing. Little did we know that Sir Floyd would come up with a scheme to take down those powder and blue pansies from Lame-Wood. Therefore, thank you Coach for making my college experience. Ya Tim.

1) The Jacket Throw Off at EVERY GAME: We have all seen it, but some just do not realize it. To you amateurs, Tim Floyd throws off his jacket (which is usually made of a fine woolen material) at the first point of the game that he gets furious. There is no need to really explain this more except for this: Coach Tim Floyd says what he means, and means what he says. If no one is listening, he will make sure you start listening or else prepare yourself for a barrage of physical, mental, and psychological pain.

As you all can tell, Sir Floyd has had a big affect in my life. He is an inspiration for all and we all miss him no matter what the media says. From The Law's Law's perspective, he is Innocent Until Proven Guilty.

Cheers to Tim and to all those that enjoy Winning.

Congratulations Tim, you are the Honorary Chairman Emeritus of The Law's Law's Blog.

With my utmost respect,

The Law's Law

P.S. For those that want some more Tim Floyd footage, boom!

P.P.S. "I am going to stand up for my players and I am going to stand up for this game." In other words: Act on what you believe in and fight on for what you believe in and love. Stand up. Action. Boom. Fight On. AND BEAT ASU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.P.P.S. Love Tim's +1 / -1 system. So, thinking I could outsmart the thing instead of turning it on quiet like normal I turned it on loud before going to sleep. Of course this caused me to wake up to BBMs at 6:02am (I hate you Sir Zeth), which is what I feared but I figured I would just chalk it up as a battle scar. The 9a hour rolls along and the same thing happend: no alarm sound. I then proceeded to go on some BB blogs during class and OF COURSE the solution, like the solution to all other BB problems (like the previous BBM alphabetical problem) is to take the battery out. I have tested it by setting the alarm for 11:58p, and like magic, the alarm works even when on silent.

My war with technologies continues. Hopefully I will get a good night's sleep now that I can put my BB on silent without worrying whether the alarm will go off at the desired hour.

Tonga Update: Does anyone (Sir Darkness?) know if the Tonga Room is actually closing as was detailed in a February article in some random SF newspaper article? I tried looking for this online but nothing comes up (have big graduation plans for the place in May, the tab should be able to cover for relocation expenses). However, I did find a PETITION to keep the Tonga Room open. There are some great comments on the site so if you're feeling a little down today, just read a few. One of my favorites: "I had one of the best nights of my life here. I traveled from the UK especially to visit this legendary place. Please recognise your history!" Now that is dedication.

Sayounara,

The Law's Law

P.S. Great response today from my G-chat status that was an actual Sir Sno-mander quote. For those not on the aforementioned messenger, his quote was: "Dude, i am averaging 400 bucks a weekend spent in nyc."

Homecoming

Le Booms,

As The Law's Law sits here sipping on some Bordeaux hammering out a paper summarizing the statutory implications of the WGA MBA (Writer's Guild of America's Minimum Basic Agreement) on Residuals (compensation writers get for TV syndication, radio, etc. etc. etc.) while watching 24/7 Pacquiao v. Now, I do not know how rank amateurs work, but this is upsetting, unconscionable (second time I have used that word in 3 weeks), and just absolutely embarassing, Homecoming is a time for fun, not for people to wake up early and get their how-do-you-do's and "How about that Particle Accelerator in Geneva" in.

Homecoming is where The Law's Law sat in the back of a pickup truck Frosh year en route to The Quad while taking a keg stand. Homecoming is where Sir Sno-mander did not make it to the game because he was busy getting taken back home to 28th street. Homecoming is where people streak through Leavy Library and the people actually studying wonder why there are so many "different" people present. Homecoming is where Trojan Grounds gets bought out of Gatorade because the tent ran out of stuff to mix Popov with so we used the Associates' Trojan Plans to clean out the place.

Bottom line is...Homecoming is something you do not take away from The Law's Law. However, I have been quite jealous of these Top 5 lists coming up on the brother blogs. Therefore, I would like everyone to take a gander at this site:

The Best Nights of the Week to Get Piss Drunk

OR (just in case my Hyperlink does not work, The Law's Law hates technology and still thinks the internet is just a passing fad):

http://deadspin.com/5393650/the-best-night-of-the-week-to-get-piss-drunk

This blogger is genius. Couple of things I like about the article:

1) The first YouTube video is one of The Darkness (although clearly The Law's Law's favorite Darkness song is "I Believe in a Thing Called Love")

2) The first type of alcohol mentioned is a certain Bum Wine called "Thunderbird."

3) The Sunday Night description could not more aptly describe the lives of the members of Room 213 in college.

There are many more reasons, but let me just say that this blogger is a true friend of The Law's Law.

Enjoy,

The Law's Law

P.S. Forgot to post a Blue Ribbon Award Winner. This week's is sort of a post-humous winner because it is both for the Weekender and Halloween weekend, so congratulations Madame Carlson. Not only was your performance at the Weekender top notch, but you telling Christian (for you amateurs he is the Shellback's Bartender) that "he needs to get laid" was priceless. We also gave Beaches a large chance to get our business. The only real business that really occurred there was taking shots of Rumple Mintz (one of The Law's Law's favorite holiday shots). This peppermint schnapps (sp?) delight used to cost about 8 bucks for a bottle AND a shot glass (that had a bottle opener on the bottle of the glass). The point of this being I guess that you can have a shot and a beer (aka Bat / Ball or Seasaw at the LAX airport bar).

Saturday evening was obviously "interesting." Without talking about the obvious disaster of a collegial competition, a couple of key stories came out. 1) For whatever reason, whenever we shotgunned beers at the House of Lords the game got better. 2) Some of the Trick or Treaters that come around MB are out of control. In addition to a 14 year old girl asking us for a beer (dressed as a promiscuous cat and then dropping an F bomb when we refused to give her a beer because we thought it was a sting operation), another 12 year old kid was dressed as a heroin addict (complete with a turkey baster "needle").

After the non-game, the crew went up the street for some pre-party / post-game action. Fantastic times were had. It is a little embarrassing when asked "What year did you graduate?" The Law's Law's response: 2007. Girl's response: 1999. Whoops. Of course The Law's Law also once again met a person that he had a full-on conversation within previous weeks but completely did not remember the conversation / person / name. Whoops again. (Sir Zeth - exact same situation as in SF). For more information on the night please take a gander at http://dirtydigz.blogspot.com/

After one doozy of a Rocktober and terrible close out, The Law's Law must remain optimistic because life could be worse. As many of you know, the Holiday season has arrived. Tis the season for Christmas music, Classy Christmas Parties, and overall awesomeness. More on the activities of November in the next posting.

Over and Out,

The Law's Law

P.S. The Law's Law recently updated his BB (took 3 hours on Friday morning). Well worth it, I suggest everyone update their software. One bone to pick: usually before going to sleep I put the BB on silent but even on silent, the alarm still goes off. Apparently now when on silent it also puts the alarm on silent. Not cool as The Law's Law barely made it to class on time this morning.

P.P.S. Second best thing (which I just learned today) is that on the new BBM when you get a new contact it ACTUALLY goes in alphabetical order AUTOMATICALLY. Taking out the battery to make this happen was a huge pet peeve of The Law's Law.

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday

Boom Time Ladies and Gentlemen,

After a long day of LAW (10 hours of class to be exact, shoot me in the face), The Law's Law's brain is still firing on all cylinders. The only choice was to post something on le blog.

Tomorrow is a day of epic opportunities: The Halloween Bar Review. Now, people still do not understand what a Bar Review is. It is NOT when law students go and study for the bar. I gently told a certain associate of The Law's Law the other week to buy me a bottle of Kettle One for the Bar Review and was abruptly asked, "Excuse me, that is not how one studies for the Bar." People, a Bar Review is when law students go and "review a bar." What is really fun about bar reviews to The Law's Law is that law students 1) get drunk off one drink and then go wild and 2) every person there thinks they are a perfect 10 when in all honestly at USC they would be lucky to garner a 2 from The Law's Law.

In either case, the review is at one of the old stomping grounds for The Law's Law. The previous time I attended this venue was mid-July. I favor the middle open air bar because Madame Bartendress and The Law's Law could not stand all of the Hollyweirds (thanks to Sir Phd for the nomenclature inspiration) there and decided to drink lots of varieties of alcoholic beverages (The Law's Law could not summon her name but hopefully I remember by tomorrow).

With the impending Halloweekend coming up, The Law's Law would like to invite everyone to give one big adios to Rocktober and a loud Hello to the holiday season. As sad as The Law's Law gets to saying goodbye to Rocktober (almost as sad as Sir Creature gets when he sees worms or snails), November will be joyous as Sir Big Ball Pete never loses.

Expect a pre-Rocktober / post-lame (rad) Bar Review post Friday.

All's well that ends well,

The Law's Law

P.S. First, The Law's Law is a believer in the legal philosophy of interpreting documents / cases by their "plain meaning." This is an approach that most Supreme Court Justices (the rad ones) take in interpreting the U.S. Constitution. The other side of the spectrum is interpreting the Constitution as a "living document" that can be constantly reinterpreted (which is lame because then the original intention of the framers of the Constitution gets skewed at least in yours truly's opinion). With The Law's Law's legal philosophy in mind, please interpret this blog by the plain meaning. There are no underlying messages and The Law's Law means what he says and says what he means. This is in addition to his belief that every word spoken shall be carefully chosen and meaningful (should practice this more often myself).

With that in mind...

In addition to today being the U2 concert (the bass from the concert literally rocked my house from the Rose Bowl), today was just absolutely amazing. In addition to it being a great day I must say that I cannot believe we have to wait yet another 3 weeks for a home game. I find it absolutely unconscionable that we have to wait for such a long time for another home game. It is literally like waiting for Christmas to come. One only has to ponder...

In unusual Law's Law fashion I must sound off on a couple of subjects:

The Sweepstakes: Nothing like waking up in the morning on the couch to find out that you missed Beaches (to drink some delicious Fireman's Ale) and that your friend tried to do big things with a certain maybe. Sir K to the Hawaii, the sweepstakes is on and I cannot wait for next weekend, hahaha.

The moment we've all been waiting for: The Blue Ribbon Award goes to Madame Birv. I have no clue how to explain how much this girl hates blogs (for more info on this, please visit The Law's Law bro's site http://dirtydigz.blogspot.com/). All I have to say is that we like to have fun and blogs facilitate that fun. When you are hungover on Monday morning, you will understand. However, the Birv does not win this award for this reason. Usually The Law's Law awards the award for exemplary behavior. However, today it is awarded for inactivity. Congratulations to Madame Birv for partying for 72 hours straight, complaining about her "homework," only to let us know on Sunday that her work only consisted of writing a 2 page paper (which according to an 8p Sunday BBM was still not done). The Law's Law has probably already written 2 pages on this post and he is rolling deep while scribing within 5 minutes. Honorable Mentions go to Sir Slow-Cotte for taking two wallets from the House of Lords (aka Chateau Bleu?) and for Sir Chairs for puking on his BB.

OreGONE: still a possibility of going to this game especially since The Law's Law has been cordially invited to stay in Auetzen, Oregon. However, The Law's Law Halloweekend costume may prevent such thing from happening since it is just so good: The Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World" (TMIMITW). Pretty pumped to not shave for a week and to spray my hair gray.

ASU? The Law's Law unfortunately signed up for the MPRE (Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination) and will most likely not be able to take this roadtrip (although The Law's Law did already skip on this exam in August in order to do an NYC plow, so you never know).

This is the last week of Rocktober. The only good thing that The Law's Law sees coming out of this is that November 1 marks the first day one is allowed to play Christmas music. I was talking to my neighbor the other day and he told me to get ready for a Christmas season unlike any other. No clue what that means but it got me pretty pumped up.

I have not been to my regular Monday Yardhouse lunch in a month. Tomorrow is my first day back. Hopefully Madame Bartendress is not too disappointed in me (we became pretty good friends actually in September mainly bc shes a 10+)

Boom Time,

The Law's Law

P.S. The New Songs, DVD's, and photo albums and whatnot that have come out of this weekend have been absurd.

P.P.S. Sir Fratellis, I was a little disappointed in your performance on Saturday at Beaches. One must strive for the Blue Ribbon Award. Let's pick it up on Halloweekend.

P.P.P.S. Thank you to all of my loyal followers for pushing this blog above 600 original clicks. Big things to come and this has inspried The Law's Law to write a book and possibly some memoirs.

P.P.P.P.S Hope you all enjoy the new blog template.

First Picture Upload (So Sir Phd Does Not Insult My Intelligence)

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" I also either did not see these occurences or was not present at the moment because I do not know how I could have missed or forgotten it.

Now, these two gents have received the Blue Ribbon award before (Tonga Lagoon plunge) and apparently made a HUGE push for the prestigious award again. Therefore, congratulations to Sir Large One and Sir Darkness for both TRULY living up to their names and doing huge things on the stripper pole at Mother's. You two are the first Blue Ribbon Award Honorable Mentions.

For those of you that need evidence of this (and believe me you do need to see the evidence), please take a look at their FB pictures in Sir Large One's little sister's FB album " chi chi chicago!" (Sir Phd, I will never figure out how to put pictures on this thing).

Congratulations again,

The Law's Law

P.S. I am in my dead boring class right now "Remedies: Damages, Equity, and Restitution." For the Chicago bus-mates, this would be the class I listen to Party in the U.S.A. while playing Scrabble, while watching Postseason.TV, and now while blogging.

Un-real weekend in Chicago. Could not believe the amount of people that 1) said it was warm (it was freezing) and 2) showed up. Millions upon millions of 6-man miracles. I was also really impressed by the amount stories involving Boats. One involved Thursday night at Mother's where 4 of us got super excited that "I'm on a Boat" came on (what bar plays that song, seriously) and had such ridiculous moves on the D-Floor that we literally scared 20 people off it and had pictures taken of us. Not surprising for celebrities I guess. My other favorite boat story involved our Friday Boat Cruise where the Cash Bar-tender was shocked that Sir Large One and myself bought vodka shots mid-day (I mean come on, we were in the middle of a river freezing, it's a natural way to get warm). After tipping he told us that we were brought up well and to please thank our parents for bringing us into the world. That would be the first (and only time probably) that anyone has said this to him and I. Needless to say we were pumped.

Saturday was unreal (even though I hate the refs more than anyone I know). Favorite story from there were the rest stop urinals all overflowing at once (4 total) and Sir Rank Amateur slipped and fell straight into the "waterfalls" (although I was not so pumped when he laid on my hotel bed upon return from South Bend in his pee infested jacket, lame).

Chicago trip ended as it only could for The Law's Law with it taking an hour to get to the airport (budgeted only 30). Literally got to the airport with 20 minutes to flight time. The shuttle guy forgot his credit card machine so a couple from La Canada lent me 20 dollars (clearly I had no cash from Saturday and had to give them a check). I was so late I could not even use the automated check-in, had to go to the counter and have myself escorted to the plane. Made it with 2 minutes til flight time (ask Sir ATO about how everyone in the priority line let me pass, it was pretty amazing). Another funny Sunday story was that The Law's Law and Sir Zeth went to be tourists Sunday morning and asked a random public bus driver on his break where Milennium Park was. Instead of just telling us he told us to hop on his ride and took us directly there (basically turning a public bus into his own bus, so random). He then went on a rant about how he doesn't believe in Global Warming.

Blue Ribbon Award of the week goes to Sir Master and Sno-mander. Instead of being a normal human being and coming to dinner with us on Friday night, this child decided to drink by himself at Mother's for 3 hours and got kicked out 3 separate times. According to Sir Darkness the bouncer said that he tried to rush the door to try to get back in. Unreal.

Hope everyone makes it a great week and here's to the Dodgers ACTUALLY showing up for tonight's game.

The Law's Law

P.S. Sir Hans, your father is a champ for coming on the bus with us.

P.P.S. I expect the blogs to be firing it up tonight...let's go domhatesanimals.blogspot.com

First Live Blog Update

Negotiations Midterm Update:

Before the Midterm we were assigned our "roles," had a side to defend, and were assigned a person to negotiate against. Briefly, my role was to defend a museum that lost some expensive artwork due to some pipe breakage and had also given away some artwork that was not fully paid for. Clearly the Professor did not know that The Law's Law is a huge patron of the arts (as said on Friday before Fusion to Sir Creature, Sir Darkness, and Sir Law of the Firm's SF Branch, I like to compare my writings to paintings by Van Gough and Picasso--"Broad strokes, you fill in the details").

Now, the midterm was an hour long videotaped negotiation (which, will be emailed to me and there will be a viewing party at the House of Lords) against my assigned opponent in a room by ourselves. As soon as the hour ended and the videotape cut my opponent literally (cannot make this stuff up) said to me:

"I feel like I just got taken for a ride." -Anonymous Opponent of The Law's Law

The Law's Law knew he won but never would have thought that such honesty could come from a future lawyer. Therefore, I shall make Madame Opponent of the House of LLS my Blue Ribbon Award winner of Tuesday (or technically Wednesday at this point...traffic was terrible due to rain).

Over and Out,

The Law's Law

P.S. I love the blogs that have been starting. The amount of posts literally keeps me on my toes and forces me to at least match the amount of post-age. Furthmroe, as The Law's Law it truly brings a tear to my eye to see http://domhatesanimals.blogspot.com/, http://dirtydigz.blogspot.com/, http://talesfromporto.blogspot.com/, and http://celebritystache.blogspot.com/ picking up some major steam.

P.P.S. Well, along with being my future slogan when I run for Senator in 2040, it is going to be the theme for the Chicago trip.

Now the word Action and myself have had a troubled yet fantastic history. Not only was it a recurrent theme during Sir Zeth's presidency, it was also a recurrent theme whenever I had a qualm during our Frat Exec Meetings. For example, "Let's throw a $5,000 party instead of a $2,500, ACTION!" Or, "Let's put our Spring Social Budget on USC winning the National Championship, ACTION!" (thank god we did not do the later). Or simply, "Take a shot, ACTION!"

Now the word Action and myself have had about a year hiatus. Thanks to Sir Zeth's bbm on this rainy Tuesday (why he would want me to bring Action back is beyond me), the fact that I have a Negotiation midterm in 15 minutes (1 on 1 videotaped session for an hour, Godspeed to my opponent), and that Chicago is about 36 hours away, I would like to officially bring back the word ACTION. Whenever someone is being lame, feel free to call them out on Action!

Many of you may get tired of my word phases (like Boom, Bam, Thizz, and Granola for starters), but Action means so so much more. It's way of living!

So here's to Action and the many things it brings.

Boom!

The Law's Law

P.S. This post was made in an effort to quell my reader's concerns about the lack of posts. Come on, I am posting literally before a Midterm. Action!

Tuesday Negotiation Midterm

Ye Old Faithful,

The Law's Law would first like to thank the House of Lords and everyone for the birthday wishes & birthday weekend celebr0-tions (please forward this Thank You to Sir Rico of the House of Patron and Madame Meliss at Shell because they are absolute Saints for putting up with me this weekend and especially two weekends ago). The Law's Law is truly humbled by the love and support that everyone has given him on the 25th anniversary of coming into this world.

Speaking of which, The Law's Law needs to sound off. Many many asked if I had a Quarter Life Crisis. I would like to say that I have never heard that phrase before. Why would one be depressed and have such thing? Let me count the ways that I have a reasons NOT to have a Quarter Life Crisis: Family, Friends, Babers, MB, Pasadena, Newps, Airplanes, and Life as a House (first Mobile Upload ever). Only people like Remy and Gary have Quarter Life Crisis-es

Now...

Between 1200, Fanta a la 1200 style Shots, Keg in Sir Creature's Room, Keg Stands in Sir Creatures room, Shell, Lendale White, Michael Bush, Marty Smarty, Sir Creature's New Blog, Sir Ph'd's Current Blog, The Doctor, Bankrupting Vons of their Andre, future Pool Party at Madame Birvs, Sir Darkness' photos, Madame Provident making fun of Sir Fratellis (there is your shoutout haha) and the Cleaning Party, A+ weekend once again.

From what I have heard I have inspired many to creates blogs. I love this. But some have decided to give a little bit more incite into their lives (i.e. Sir Phd aka www.dirtydigz.blogspot.com giving explanation into the chemistry he does and Sir Creature sounding off at www.domhatesanimals.blogspot.com and Sir Chairseo sounding off about North MB / El Porto at www.talesfromporto.blogspot.com all while Sir Hans continues his obsession with the mustache at celebritystache.blogspot.com). Therefore, everytime I blog I will give a Law Word of the Day and pick out my Favorite Sentence out of a Judicial Opinion of the Week.

Law's Word of the Day: Res Judicata

Sentence of the Day: ‘Upon the appeal of any cause in equity, or of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction, or of prize or no prize, a transcript of the record, as directed by law to be made, and copies of the proofs, and of such entries and papers on file as may be necessary on the hearing of the appeal, shall be transmitted to the Supreme Court: Provided, that either the court below or the Supreme Court may order any original document or other evidence to be sent up, in addition to the copy of the record, or in lieu of a copy of a part thereof. Make it a great week. Cannot wait for Chicago. Not talking more about it because the Notre Lame blog will be intense (i.e. whole paragraph about turning our Sheraton hotel tub into a huge cooler, my favorite thing to do in life).

P.P.P.S. I would like to leave everyone with a review I got from my Negotiation course Professor (she read me like a book):

"Jesse:

Thank you. Your review of your performance was an ok first attempt.
For the midterm dig deeper on each question. You are still confusing
underlying interests a little bit. Although the competitive approach
may have put her off, it was necessary to get the best price. You are a
strong negotiator with a natural communication ability.

Prof. Bulmash"

P.P.P.P.S. www.abovethelaw.com

P.P.P.P.P.S. When there is a The Law's Law away trip Yours Truly needs to cram in a lot of Law that way he can enjoy the weekend without worrying about the impending Monday.

With a loud "YA BABY" The Law's Law would like to cordially welcome everyone to Rocktober, one of the best months of the year since its the time to party right after Summer and to pre-game for the Holiday season (arguably The Law's Law's very most favorite time of the year). Additionally, this year is quite special because within this year's Rocktober is the Weekender (legendary Weekender this year), The Law's Law's Bday, Notre Lame trip, another home game, a cap off USC game at Oregon, and Dodgers getting low throughout the month and blowing through the playoffs.

Weekender: Excellent excellent time (and definetly a top 3 Weekender). Not sure whether the absoute ownage of Cal or the City of San Francisco in general was more fun. There are three Blue Ribbon winners this year: Sir Darkness, Sir Zeth, and Sir The Large One. Now in case you have not heard (which if you're a reader I doubt you have not), these gents decided to take a dip into the Tonga Room pool / pond / moat (there was a legitimate debate as to what to call the body of water therefore it is the official poll of the week) in order to grab their Blue Ribbon awards. This means that the stakes have been driven up out of this atmosphere for the award. Thus far in Blue Ribbon lore we have an "detainee," a whole group bar kick out, and some serious butt kicking on the D floor to win the award. The award has become so prestigious that I almost refrain from awarding without an undeserving recipient.

A bone to pick: there has not been a female winner since last year's football season (when Sir Large One's sister took the award home for 2 weeks straight after some epic Newport weekends). Being that this is The Law's Law, a Legal Social Commentary, we try to be as politically correct as possible. Therefore, these is an epic chance for this to happen:

The Editor's B-Day Bash will take place at the House of Lords (1200 Manhattan) on October 9, 2009. The House of Lords has once again exceeded expectations and have been gracious enough to host this soiree.

Therefore, I look forward to seeing all followers and loyal readers there on Friday. It should be a time to remember and with no SC football and no Dodger playoff game on Friday, there will be nothing to distract everyone from making sure their cups are filled and their feet are moving to the sound of whatever ridiculous soundtrack the House of Lords has playing.

Over and Out,

The Law's Law

P.S. Fact Check / Errors: I forgot that the last actual female Blue Ribbon award winner took place on Blake's Birthday celebration in May.
