I can't figure out how to embed the video so here are a couple of images from their project page.

I particularly like the versatility of this pen. It can use the ink cartridges from many other well known pens. I'm seriously tempted by this project.

Edit: I succumbed to the temptation!

A package arrived in the mail this week. A slim cardboard box with PHX-1 stamped on it. This was a parcel I had been waiting for with some anticipation. So much so, I had already gone out and purchased two pens and a some craft blades to go with it.

Well that's odd. Why would I buy a couple of pens and some craft blades?

Rhodia Pencils and dotPad Review

This review has been a long time coming. Michelle from Exaclair graciously sent these Rhodia products out to The Leaky Pen for review months ago . Life however got in the way of writing about them. In fact the Rhodia dotpad and pencils have been sitting on my desk winking at me every time I sit down. Now, I have finally had an opportunity to take a closer look at what Exaclaire sent us. Specifically, we were sent two black and orange Rhodia pencils and with them a Rhodia dotPad. Both products scream designer style and appear to be high quality.

A Minimal Pen

This is exactly the sort of stationery that appeals to me. The only improvement I would have made is to make it a mechanical pencil. Otherwise this is some seriously tidy kit and a beautiful pen if you ask me. Grab one now at Kickstarter.

Multipen Dimensions

I read most of my stationery articles via my RSS reader but I also try and make a point of occasionally visiting the websites I follow to check out their blogrolls (A blog roll is a list of favourite websites). This way I can keep up with the appearance of any new stationery blogs that interest me.

One such new blog is Multipen Dimenions. This blog is dedicated to, you guessed it, Multipens. Multipens are one of my favourite stationery world niches. In fact my favourite pen is a multipen.

Multipen Dimensions is a new website but I hope it stays around for a while. There are, after all, a plethora of multipens out there to review.

Gfeller Casemakers - Pen Case

This great pen pouch, by Gfeller Casemakers, was a Xmas present in 2010. It holds my regularly used Rotring pens and mechanical pencil.

The pouch has that nice soft leather feel and smell - made with fine English Kip leather. On request (and a small fee) Gfeller will mongram the pouch with up to three initials - as shown.

The flaps fold back to allow easy removal of a pen/pencil.

On a couple of occasions a pen has slipped out so I am watchful, and make sure the pouch is carried with the opening to the top.

The pouch is a perfect match for Gfeller leather cover on my Rhodia Web Note Book or "webbie", and I use a Delfonics Stripe Notebook Band to keep the pouch and notebook together. I reckon they look rather good together.

This is my favourite letter opener.

I purchased it at the Braunston Marina (located at the junction of the Grand Union and Oxford canals in the UK) on our four day canal trip in 2008.

It is a pleasant reminder of that trip and the colourful birds we saw on the canals.

The website has been quiet of late. I know this and it has been frustrating me. I have so much to write and review but I have had no time. Well, make time I hear you say. Get organised!

Whilst my organisation could have been better I do have my reasons for doing little here. My beautiful wife has been pregnant but it hasn't been one of those care-free, hassle-free pregnancies where everything goes according to plan and life continues as normal.

But I do have good news. If you follow us on Twitter you will already know ... my better half is no longer pregnant and I am the proud father of twin girls. Twins! I haven't stopped smiling but time and sleep have become as rare as hen's teeth.

I doubt you will read much here from me for a couple of months. Please be patient. I will be back.

Smiggle Leather Folio Review

This is one of the most used item in my school bag. It is the Smiggle branded leather folio. It holds all of my 'working' documents. That is, the paper work I use every day or am in the process of filling out.

The leather is thick and I measure it to be at least 3mm. A wide strap of black elastic holds the leather together about 1cm in from the edge. This strap is probably the folio's only weakness as it feels cheap next to the leather. Having said that I have been using this folio for almost two years now and the elastic is still strong.
