It’s amazing how technology has changed things over just the past ten years. Ten years ago, it was unheard of to be able to work from home. Now that everyone has an internet connection, it’s no big deal. My home office is hundreds of miles away and no one on my team works there anyway. We have team members all over the country and are able to contract with other people in other countries as we see the need, all because of recent technological advances. Everyone on my team works from home. Sometimes we have to work around the time difference but as long as everyone is present for the meetings it’s no big deal. It’s more than worth the extra effort to be able to not have to go into an office every day. I love the flexibility! It’s more common than you realize too. Over half the people who live on my street and work do so from home at least part of the time.

We bought a satellite tv hollywood package when we first moved here and I'm so glad we did. My daughters are at the age where they need constant attention or stimulation so now it's really easy to plop them down in front of the TV for an hour or so with some type of educational children's program while I get things done around the house.
