I have installed one from Shoutmix and we'll find out if they are everything they are supposed to be. Looks easy enough and it should help to facilitate participation.

I also followed the Shu's example and added an AIM status indicator to my site. I usually stay on AIM during the day as part of my job. Thanks to Billy Jones for taking the bull by the horns and getting this one on track. There were 13 of us and we had a great two hour discussion and meeting. It was nice putting a face with a blog and meeting some people that I didn't even know had blogs. I'm looking forward to checking out some of them over the next few days.

I don't know if anyone took notes but if</div>

“We’re calling it ‘post-election selection trauma’

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">If you're like me you have been feeling in a funk since the election. I want this site to be used to expose the efforts of the Republican Party and the Religious Right to impose a theocracy on the United States of America.

Just so I could have like-minded people around to talk with. But they're too damn cold.

But then, I discover that Guilford went for Kerry. So I will settle for living in a blue county, surrounded by a red state.

Does anyone know where I can find the precinct results for Guilford? I want to know if I live in a red or blue neighborhood.

I was worried about Kerry being able to solve what is probably an unsolveable problem in Iraq. The right wing would not have given him any help. Now at least the total mess there will be the complete responsibility of the man who created the mess in the first place.

It's something.

It's not looking good for Kerry. Maybe the votes will be found in Ohio, and he shouldn't concede until we know for sure, but it's not looking good.

This is going to embolden conservatives. In fact, I think it will embolden them so much, they will go too far.

It is going to be much more difficult to</div>

Long Lines

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I drove by my polling place, Pilot Elementary School, about 6:45 this morning. Good thing I did the early voting last week because the line was all the way out into the parking lot. Huge number of people voting.

Then drove by Gate City Baptist and the Unitarian Church on Hill Top Road. Both parking lots jammed.

One of the reasons I feel so confident is because of blogs. Blogs like Matt Gross and The Daily Kos. These blogs have kept me going for the past few months but especially for the last few weeks. The information I have found in these blogs and others like them has not been found in any of what is called the Main Stream Media.
My 20 year old daughter Cristina is a full-time junior at UNC-G and a part-time waitress at an area restaurant.

I may be biased of course, but Cristina is very out-going, friendly and caring, and this works well as a waitress since those attributes pay-off in tips, the main way she makes her</div>
