Father's Day!

I have not written a post for a while. There have been so man changes in my life and I hope to address more of them in the future on this blog. Restarting my blog has been a goal of mine since I stopped posting. The posts themes and content needed to be changed somewhat to follow along with the changes in Mr. Man's life and our life together. Since Father's Day is coming up I figured starting off with a father / male role model would be a perfect way to start as my love for the men who are so graciously in our lives needed to be thanked. One small Facebook status could not contain all that need to be said about them. I doubt this blog post will but it is a great way to start!
I want to first talk about my Mr. Man, who probably will never read this. My little man has so much intelligence and energy pouring out from such a little person that I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him. I am so honored to be his mom. He will always be my Mr. Man with a plan.
My father is such an amazing man and has done so much to support all of his children. Some day I hope to be more succesful in life so that I can at least pay him back some fraction of the support (emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially) he has graciously provided my son and myself. had put up with more than he should from myself as well as curve balls thrown at him. I could not have asked for a better father.
My brother is so amazing to my little man. We have our sibling issues but at the end of the day I could never ask for a better uncle to my son. He is such a great male role model for my little man. Some day he will make an amazing dad.
My grandfather is one of the most intelligent men I ever met. I wish I could have inherited more of his genius. It is such a blessing what time he gets with my little man and I hope that my little man can absorb so much of my grandfather's knowledge. His love for all of his family is something I hope passes on for generations.
Lastly I have an amazing man in my life who cares deeply about not only myself but my little man as well. He goes above and beyond to prove to me that he respects my family and myself. Watching him treat my son with so much kindness and genuine care makes me so happy that I finally have a great man in my life. I cannot wait to see what our future holds.
My mother and all my other amazing female role models all hold their own pieces to my heart too. At a later date I would love to futher address their greatness and my love for them, but tonight, with Father's Day around the corner, the men in my life need to be thanked and praised for going above and beyond the call of duty. I love all these men so much and I am so happy that they all care about each other. I hope that I get to keep learning new things from all these men, especially little man, for years to come.

Mr. Man's First Concert

Mr. Man loved going to StarFest. He loved, Parachute, Michelle Branch, and the Goo Goo Dolls. He loved watching Parachute. Michelle Branch and the Goo Goo Dolls were the two he danced to the most and he even tried to wave to the Goo Goo Dolls. The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater staff was so nice, they gave Mr. Man ear plugs and let us move up the lawn. Mr. Man loved watching the show from the lawn.

I wonder sometimes if you ever think of me; however I would not walk a thousand miles just to see you.

I do not need you, I might want you, and I do not know if I would love you. Two out of three might not be bad; but I think that it may just be one at the most and that is probably worst.

So, those are not the right words and have a different meaning than the actual song, but both are songs I cannot get out of my head. Why is love such a huge topic on all entertainment. I am tired of it and I am really tired of being asked my marital status when doing anything for my son. Why do they have to ask for my “husband’s name”? Why can they just not ask if there is an additional person that I would like to put as a contact name and or number? I would love to be married, but I would also like to have everything together before I even start dating again. Why is it so bad when that a child is raise by a single mom? I am just so tired of hearing people say things about it. I am tired people asking me if I am dating anyone. Most of all I am tired of on all entertainment there are no true single parents. Everyone has to be in relationships and no one can just be single. I know I am going on a long rant, but I am just so irritated.

There are guys I think I would like to date if I had the chance, but I need to get my life fully together before I go on a date. Sure it would be nice to date again, but from what I have learned from my past and through reading, one need to have their self together before entering into relationships with others.

I guess what I am trying to say is I am fine with being single and some days it would be nice to have someone in Mr. Man and mine’s life. I do not need anyone else for now and for now need needs to outweigh want. Need should always outweigh want, but this is a time where it is even more important.

I still wonder if you ever think of me, but I still will not walk a thousand miles just to see you or anyone. Maybe if I ever fall in love I might change my mind about that, but even then I have someone who is always going to be more important to me. I probably still will not walk a thousand miles for anyone.

My Plan, Not Mr. Mans

So, I have decided I since I am doing so much better when I focus, I am going to create a plan for the next 6.5 years is what I would preferably enjoy. I say 6.5 yeas because that is when Mr. Man turns 8. So here it goes.
August 2012 ~ Graduate with my Associate Degree in Business Technology Administration from CTC. (6 months early by the way.)
August 2012 ~ Enter KSU to go after my Bachelors in Business. (part time)
August 2012 ~ Find a good job.
Sometime between 2014 and 2015 ~ Earn my Bachelors in Business.
Hopefully before 2018 ~ Have my MBA.

There are other step in there too. The other steps just do not have a certain time they are to be accomplished by. I hope I can get all this done on time or before the dates I set. This leave little time for socializing to much and no time for dating at all. All of which I find perfectly fine. Mr. Man is the most important to me and I am doing this for him. We need the best life, so to do that we have to follow those steps. My family and friends are so great, they are so encouraging. Ever time I do well in school they tell me how proud they are of me. It is always nice to hear that. So thank you family and friends for all your encouragement, and someday soon I will have my Associate Degree then my Bachelors and eventually my MBA thanks to all of you that do help, even if it is just by encouraging me.

UGA v. Tech Game

We went last night and took my brother and grandfather to the UGA v. Tech game. It was awesome. Lucas loved it. The seating was general seating so we got to sit in the section behind home on Georgia's side. My brother said that during one of my many times taking Lucas to walk around he almost caught a ball. Hopefully I will be able to take Lucas to a Braves game later this season I think that he would love that. I will post picture later on. O, we had to leave early but the final score was 4-6 UGA winning. Lucas loved it when UGA scored 5 runs in the 4th inning he kept standing up and clapping and dancing. I should post the picture sometime Friday.

Big Shanty Festival

Mr. Man, myself, and our family we enjoyed it very much. Mr. Man liked his food the best. His favorites were the fries and the fresh made mini cake doughnuts. I really like the cake doughnuts as well, but my favorite was the home-made cream soda I got for a dollar because I had my reusable tin. The dancing going on stage was another favorite of Mr. Man. I wish I had brought my camera because it was so cute when Mr. Man tried to dance along with the dancers. All and all it was very enjoyable. I wish that I had the time that I could have hit the other two great festivals that were going on in Atlanta this weekend. I think that Mr. Man would have enjoyed those too.

So here is the thing, I am go to start reviewing places that either Mr. Man, myself, or both go to and place them on here, if I can within 24-48 hours. This review however is a little late because of technical issues that the user had not the actually equipment for the most part.

Monkey Joe's
Mr. Man loved this place. The best part is for the little kids the parents can assist the kids with the inflatables and so it is a work out as well. We will be going there later in the summer. His favorite inflatables were the Duel Slide and the Maze. He also enjoyed the inflatable play area. He loved riding around on the mini marry-go-round too. I have video of him finishing the maze here:

Mr. Man at Monkey Joe's

Yellow Tail
This place my mom found over by California Dreaming. I liked it and the waiter was pretty good. Over all it was nice. It was not my favorite, but I will go back. Their sushi is more bite size and very tasty. Mr. Man did not like it as much; however, he was very tired since this was after Monkey Joe's. My family liked it. Over all I think that it was a good experience and we will probably try them again later. O, lastly if you like the fried Bagel Roll most places offer, then when ordering here make sure that you say that you want that. They do not offer it on the menu, but will make when asked.

In this day in age proper etiquette has changed some much. Actually I do not know how much etiquette has changed and how much of it is just forgotten. I admit sometimes I myself do not follow proper etiquette. Hats are suppose to be taken off indoors, yet most of the time they are left on. What happened to holding the door open for the person behind you? Are we regressing to a simpler peasantry life style?
I have learned one thing, if we want to get ahead in life we have to behave like the class we wish to be at. This does not mean to go buy sports cars when you cannot afford them, what it does mean is if you are behaving like your class you will be stuck there. If you think it is fine to wear backwards caps and behave disrespectfully in public places, then do not turn around years later and wonder why you are still stuck at that lower class. However, if you go out of your way to behave with more class and learn proper etiquette, maybe ever seek a higher education, then you will be on your way to moving up in the world. It does not matter what class you are in as long as you are happy.
I know many of us many think that in America we do not have classes and cannot get stuck in them. We do have classes, we just do not have a proper name for them. There is always the possibility to move up and down the classes unlike other cultures. Just like a mountain it is always easier to fall from classes than to climb up. The hard work will help build character and get you further in life.
Again it really does not matter what class you are in life just as long as you are happy; however please use some proper manners when in public and around those of a higher class.

I am so excited I get to go see Chelsea Handler Live on June 10 at Chastai Amphitheater. My mom is going with me and loves her books. Chelsea's show on June 10 will be apart of her new book tour. Lies that Chelsea Handler Told Me (A Chelsea Handler Book/Borderline Amazing Publishing) is her new book and my mom plans on buying this when it comes out May 10th. She has read her other books Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelseaand Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. Comedy Central has aired some of her performance before and they are always so funny; however, not for suitable for underage viewers. Mr. Man will be staying hanging out with the boy that night so that I can go. It will very nice that his Cappy (my dad) will be watching him for me. I will let you guys know how the show is when I go see it.
