The life of two emigrants...and a thurd

May

2016-05-11T21:37:00.001+01:00

Yes, friends, I changed my mind. Not really sure why I should waste your time with my daily random thoughts. I decided that if I want to be thankful I can do it on my own. Without the need to explain to the outside what and why. See you when I feel there's something worth saying.

Peace out.

18.April: neighbours

2016-04-18T13:48:00.001+01:00

So we moved. And as usual it was all perfect until we heard the neighbours. Their awful nasty language, their constant yelling, their god awful children screaming like animals... We felt life was never going to be calm again. And we heard them throughout the day. No rest. We were desperate.

And what happened? Allah called them, Mohamed summoned them, they loaded a truck yesterday and moved the fuck out! Fucking nasty neighbours! Gone!

There must be a force after all! Weirdly the force of disdain and desparation must have driven them away. But I'll pray to Allah tonight and thank him for getting them the hell away from us!

Salammajulam!

7.April: religon is dead!

2016-04-07T11:53:00.001+01:00

Today I celebrate the death of religion! It's gone! Hardly any idiot believes in this wretched plague for humanity and Earth. And if you praise Jesus, Moses, Mohammed or Allah, you are part of a dying breed! Fuck you and goodbye! Die!

4.April: I'm a pretty good designer

2016-04-04T11:01:00.001+01:00

Work poster. All my doing. I'm not too shabby.

3.April: tables

2016-04-04T10:57:00.001+01:00

Love going all out for guests!

This was just the beginning of a good ole 6-hour Bulgarian dinner. And it was exhausting.

..ooh and the pizza picnic in the new neighboring park was pretty nice.

2.April: some days just suck

2016-04-04T10:55:00.001+01:00

This was one of them.

...

Although we did play a silly zombie game with friends and ate delicious Indian food..

31.March: nights

2016-03-31T10:49:00.001+01:00

Nights on our new balcony:). Like!

30.March: yelling

2016-03-30T10:17:00.001+01:00

Today I am grateful for saying what is on my mind. Yelling at idiots on service jobs when they are clearly completely wrong...there's something about fighting for your rights that I love.

Here's one to all struggles for justice!

29.March: how do you take a minute when you are exhausted?

2016-03-29T12:16:00.001+01:00

You don't.

My five minutes per day exercise made me feel shitty instead of grateful this month.

A submitted her phd thesis, we moved house, S had some school drama, there was but a minute for me to catch up with anything.

So where's the balance in my project? How can I manage not to feel like shit if exhaustion and guilty for not posting here? Hmm may be part of the lesson I am trying to discover and learn.

Will keep trying.

15.March: exhausted

2016-03-15T12:24:00.001+00:00

Well, I am thankful for being alive. At this moment I have been with a sinus infection for about a month, I hurt my back carrying everything we own because we are also moving (slowly) as of last week, and I've worked harder than ever. Obviously my desire to post a thankful message each day will nit work but let's see how long it lasts until I give up again.

Thanks, Marto for reminding me to write ;)

(PS:This onion sees everything)

8.March: datenight

2016-03-08T12:04:00.001+00:00

29.Feb: I salute Leo DiCaprio today

2016-02-29T12:15:00.001+00:00

28.Feb: depressday

2016-02-29T12:13:00.001+00:00

I feel depressed on Sundays. Not because Monday is coming. But because I am destined to feel uncomfortable with not being busy. Sami sure knows how to keep busy... And I love that.

2016-02-23T13:48:00.001+00:00

I'm We had a beautiful experience with no internet for a couple of days. It's both distressing and so relaxing to get off phone, work and world. Desert islands might be our last chance for independence and freedom...

20.Feb: live

2016-02-20T13:24:00.001+00:00

18.Feb: the student

2016-02-18T10:02:00.001+00:00

This is what my lively phd student's quarters look like at the end of the thesis writing push.

Creative space.

17.Feb: not lost but found

2016-02-17T13:33:00.001+00:00

Found this Sony stereo with a turntable, great speakers and a 5-cd changer on the street! Works like a charm! Sound is beautiful and soft.

Then I filled the changer with CDs and - because I don't know yet where to put it - I put the changer sideways.

Bug mistake! Jammed five cds all over it! No open close or anything anymore.

I've been upset all day.

Until tonight I remembered some old engineering tricks from watching my dad repair...well everything. I dismantled the entire cd changer, pulled out the cds and put it all together! No breakage, no electric shock from testing it while open! Just a cut from the very sharp metal edges but lits of pride :). Even my dad told me he was proud of me...for the first time in my life!
